In recent years, blockchain technology has received considerable attention from academia, financiers and governments. Blockchain is considered to be a key disruptive technology for the 21st Century, with a very wide array of application domains that impact all areas of our lives. That such a technology exists just as the world is transitioning towards 6G mobile networks that will offer unprecedented levels of performance, but will come an attendant set of ethical and other implications, is highly fortuitous.
