We have synthesized novel cobalt(II) and nickel(II) pincer ligand complexes containing novel tridentate ligand precursors that coordinate via oxygen, nitrogen, and oxygen donor atoms. The novel tridentate ONO ligands, which are neutral, incorporate a carbonyl-substituted imidazole functionality and contain R groups of ethyl, isopropyl, or tert-butyl. The ligand precursors were thoroughly characterized using NMR spectroscopy, ESI-MS, and IR spectroscopy. The metal complexes were thoroughly characterized using single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, ESI-MS, and cyclic voltammetry.

In this paper, the synthesis of two new N,N′,N-ligands, bis[2-(3,5-diphenyl-1-pyrazolyl)ethyl]amine (L1) and bis[2-(3,5-diphenyl-1-pyrazolyl)ethyl]ethylamine (L2) is reported. These ligands form complexes with the formula [PdCl(N,N′,N)]Cl when reacting with [PdCl2(CH3CN)2] in a 1:1 metal-to-ligand molar ratio. Treatment of these ligands with [PdCl2(CH3CN)2] in a 1:1 metal-to-ligand molar ratio in the presence of AgBF4 or NaBF4 gave [PdCl(N,N′,N)](BF4) complexes. This study has been initiated to quantify the release of the Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAH) species from Styrene Butadiene Copolymer (SBR) during gasification. The identification and quantification has been determined experimentally using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy (GC/MS) coupled to a Thermo-Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) unit. SBR samples were pyrolysed in a TGA unit in a N2 atmosphere. Abstract:
Azido-BSP (4-[2-(4-azido-benzenesulphonylamino)-ethyl]phen-oxyacetic acid) is a photolabile derivative of the competitive thromboxane A2 /prostaglandin H2 (TXA2/PGH2) receptor antagonist sulotroban (=BM 13.177). If protected from short wave light, azido-BSP reversibly inhibited the platelet shape change induced by the PGH2 analogue U 46619 but notthe shape change induced by ADP or PAF. Schild analysis revealed an apparent KD=0.2 μM with washed platelets. The irreversible inhibition requiredirradiation of the platelet suspensionwith UVlight (254 nm) for 5 minutes in the presenceof azido-BSP. Af
