Abstract:
Until recently, legal ethnography has been understood as an integral part of legal anthropology and its studies of law in particular societies and cultures. In some older national traditions of European legal ethnology, including the Czech tradition, it has been considered a legal rather than a social science. Recent shifts in the perception of ethnography, which is increasingly understood as an autonomous methodology or a technology of knowledge production, are an opportunity to re-think the specific position of legal ethnography. This paper therefore explores the difference between ethnography as it is understood in the anthropology of law and the new relationship of “law and ethnography” as two autonomous variables. On the basis of several recent legal-ethnographic studies, it also seeks to identify the persistent common denominators of both approaches and attempts to show their possible contribution to the traditional methodology of legal research.

Abstract:
Pražská skupina školní etnografie (PSŠE), která působí na katedře pedagogické a školní psychologie pražské Pedagogické fakulty, vznikla koncem roku 1990. Byla to doba silně protransformačního ideologického klimatu ve školství, kdy heslem byla změna školy. Lidi, kteří vytvořili PSŠE, spojovalo oproti tomu spíše přesvědčení, že se toto volání po změně neopírá o dostatečné vědecké poznání školy, protože dosavadní empirické výzkumy jsou nedostatečné. Oprávněnost tohoto přesvědčení lze zpětně argumentovat opakovanými výtkami, které padají na adresu výzkumu české školy od jiných autorů až dodnes.

Příspěvek popisuje vznik vícedruhové etnografie jako formy znásobení zkušeností a popisů za hranicemi lidského druhu. Navzdory tomu, že definice vícedruhovosti je poměrně nedávná, autor v článku tvrdí, že zájem o začlenění jiných než lidských bytostí do etnografického úsilí se datuje již od počátku disciplíny. Příkladem tohoto zájmu je text The American Beaver and His Works (Americký bobr a jeho práce) napsaný roku 1868 Henrym Morganem, v němž autor tato zvířata účinně zařazuje do své etnografie. Článek pojednává o tom, že vícedruhový přístup může podpořit předefinování hlavních rysů etnografického výzkumu.

In questo articolo propongo una lettura degli studi sui paesaggi sonori lungo tre piani: la rilevanza del paesaggio sonoro in ambito storico, le trasformazioni dei paesaggi sonori nel Novecento, il paesaggio sonoro delle sub-culture musicali professionali. A partire dagli studi di R.M. Schafer (1977) e S. Feld (2009) mostro come gli studi sui paesaggi sonori siano stati portati avanti per comprendere la rilevanza istituzionale e politica del suono. Inoltre, cerco di mostrare le trasformazioni del paesaggio sonoro in relazione ai più vasti cambiamenti sociali, economici e tecnologici del Novecento. Infine, mostro come la città può rappresentare un contesto favorevole alla produzione e alla circolazione di forme culturali nuove e emblematiche dell’ambiente sonoro di una città.

Abstract:
The aim of this research, conducted with the main theoretical and methodological tools of cultural anthropology, is to examine the multidisciplinary meanings and the heterogeneous media narratives related to the sport event “South Africa 2010-World Cup". The event is studied from two connected interdisciplinary points of view, as a media event and as a collective crowd phenomena. The three main considered dimensions: the media, the crowds and the stadiums are interrelated in a network of “glocal” meanings which are also strictly connected to the representations and narratives covered by local and international mass-media. In the second part of the Thesis particular focus has been done on the dynamics of interaction and organization of the crowd followed the sport event in the city of Cape Town. This interaction is not separate from the complex media field and the communicative issues related to the South African 2010 World Cup. The chapter dedicated to the analysis of the stadiums, intended as a cultural and symbolic sites of interaction and as a complex field under media narratives influence, was conducted in a comparative perspective to the Italian stadiums situation. The heterogeneous spaces of meaning of the 2010 World Cup through the case studies analyzed in this dissertation are focused to enlighten the complexities of the relations between media, football and multidimensional symbolic contexts of contemporary sport.

Abstract:
The Lean concept arises from Toyota Production Syste (TPS). Then, the concept of leanness includes Value, Waste and Continuous Improvement. An organization with high level of leanness creates higher value to customers with lower level of waste within a continuous improvement environment. The examination of these diploma theses determines a new approach of lean measurement. Although, the use of ethnography is new in Lean management, it opens new possibilities to understand the behavior of the people about the organizational leanness.

Lean management is an approach that has made a revolution in a several industries. The measurement of its approach usually deal with quantitative approaches. However, the expansion of this phenomena lacks of qualitative perspective. Therefore, this is new opportunity to explore new metric to determinate the level of leanness of the organisation. This thesis brings a view of the Leanness level of company based on ethnographic research. The combination of these two disciplines, the Lean concept and ethnography, is unique and brings new direction to research the level and approach of organizations to Lean philosophy. There is possible to assess the company in areas of value for customers, waste and continuous improvement through the research. Through the analysis, it is possible to find out where the organization has areas for improvement. The aim of the thesis is to propose the step to increase the level of Leanness of the organization. The thesis deals with the analysis and measurement of Leanness level of production and administrative processes in a manufacturing plant in the electronics industry.

A relação entre a fotografia e a etnografia nos estudos da Antropologia, apesar de antiga e densa, é incerta e complexa. Se por um lado a fotografia é a cada dia mais utilizada nos trabalhos antropológicos, por outro sua potencialidade como algo além da ilustração e de uma técnica de interação com o Outro é pouco explorada. A partir do exemplo, do legado, da trajetória de vida e, principalmente, da obra de Pierre Fatumbi Verger, esta pesquisa se dedica a analisar essa relação. Francês radicado na Bahia na década de 1940, Verger é conhecido mundialmente tanto por seu trabalho como fotógrafo quanto pelas suas pesquisa etnográficas. Há, entretanto, uma indefinição quanto à razão desse reconhecimento, e examinar as suas razões oferece um profícuo campo de reflexão sobre a pesquisa etnográfica, especialmente quando relacionada ao universo das imagens fotográficas. A Fundação Pierre Verger é a instituição que atualmente abriga o acervo do fotógrafo-etnógrafo e onde foi realizada a pesquisa de campo através da qual, aliada à leitura de fotografias relacionadas ao candomblé em suas manifestações na África e na Bahia, foi criada uma metodologia de análise das fotografias que privilegia as interações e os diálogos como espaço de construção de definições sobre a etnografia. Pelo contato com a Fundação, seus freqüentadores e o acervo fotográfico ali disponibilizado, esta pesquisa pretende refletir sobre a etnografia e a construção de um olhar etnográfico em relação direta com o exercício da fotografia.
The relationship between photography and ethnography in anthropological studies, albeit ancient and deep, is uncertain and complex. Photography has been increasingly used in anthropological researches but it´s potencial as something beyond illustration and it´s interaction with the Other as a technique is very little explored. This research is dedicated to the analysis of this relationship by taking the work of Pierre Fatumbi Verger, his life and legacy. A French man, rooted in Bahia, Brasil, in the decade of 1940, Verger is known worldwide for his work as a photographer as well as for his etnographic studies. However, the reason of this recognition is undefined and examining the reason for these indefinitions can be a fruitful field of reflection concerning ethnographic researches, especially when related to the photographic universe. The Pierre Verger Foundation is the institution that hosts his photographic and ethnographic collection and it´s also where the field research of this work took place. Through the field research combined with the readings of photographs related to candomblé and it´s manifestations in Africa and Bahia, a photographic analysis methodology was created that privilege interaction and dialogue as a way to build definitions about ethnography. By the contact with the Foundation, it´s users and it´s available photographic collection, this research intends to reflect about the ethnography and the creation of an ethnographic view in direct relation to the exercise of photography.

Aquesta tesi aporta una etnografia sobre el model de procreació rrom de les comunitats de Murgeni i Ţăndărei de Romania en context de destí migratori, a l´Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona, a Catalunya. Un model procreatiu propi que segueix uns requeriments ideològics determinats amb la finalitat última d’assolir la supervivència de la descendència i la incorporació d’aquesta al grup dels qui anomenen parents. La seva estructura que està formada per diferents àmbits relacionats i conté idees i pràctiques rrom que tenen el propòsit que el fill o la filla es formi, es desenvolupi i s´adscrigui al grup. El model de procreació rrom segueix la definició del domini del parentiu proposat per González Echevarría (1995, 2005, 2010). Per comprendre quines són les representacions i pràctiques centrals de la procreació en la cultura gitana és necessari considerar aquells elements significatius de la societat rrom de Romania transversals a tot el seu sistema i, per tant també, en la procreació. Els rrom necessiten d’un model mal·leable que s´adapti a situacions d’adversitat com el desplaçament continu, la migració, o el canvi en les solidaritats o vincles socials amb altres grups. És així com, per una banda, aquesta tesi descriu l’estructura i segmentació social que és flexible i varia segons el context, adaptant-se a diferents situacions històriques, geogràfiques, socials i polítiques sovint poc favorables o hostils. Per aquesta raó, i a partir de casos etnogràfics, presenta aquelles qüestions sobre adscripció ètnica que delimiten el món gitano del món gadje (no gitano), però també aquelles altres fronteres socials que es donen en la societat gitana a partir d’una segmentació interna establerta. D´altra banda, també fa referència a la tradició i la Llei gitana com a eixos reguladors de la vida social. Endinsar-nos en aquells elements de la tradició gitana ens aporta comprensió sobre la construcció de la identitat rrom i contenen el que és essencial i dóna sentit a la identitat gitana. La Llei gitana com articulació normativa regula les relacions internes dels rrom, també envers altres grups gitanos i especialment amb els gadje. I és basa, en gran mesura, en la ideologia de la contaminació que delimita i regula el món dels gitanos, imprescindible per assolir la romipēn (gitaneïtat). També, en el model procreatiu rrom intervenen les principals representacions, coneixements i pràctiques relacionades amb la sexualitat, la reproducció i vinculades a la noció de grup com també qüestions sobre Déu, descendència, contracepció i avortaments. Finalment, a partir de la descripció detallada i l’anàlisi del procés procreatiu, que compren la concepció, l’embaràs i el moment del part fins al primer més de vida del nounat, es deixen veure aquelles nocions que són clau i estan vinculades amb el model de parentiu rrom pensat per promoure la continuïtat del grup amb la criança dels infants.
This thesis provides an ethnography on the model of Romani procreation of the Murgeni and Ţăndărei communities in Romania in the context of migratory destiny, in the Metropolitan area of ​​Barcelona, ​​in Catalonia, Spain. Their own procreative model which follows specific ideological requirements with the ultimate purpose of achieving the survival of their offspring, and its incorporation in the group of those who are called their relatives. Its structure, which is made up of different related areas, and which contains Romani ideas and practices whose aim is their children’s formation, development and secondment to the group. The model of Romani procreation follows the definition of the domain of kinship proposed by González Echevarría (1995, 2005, 2010). In order to understand what the main representations and practices of procreation in the Gypsy culture are, it is necessary to consider those meaningful elements of the Romani society of Romania that are transversal throughout its system and, therefore, also in procreation. The Romani need a malleable model that can be adapted to situations of adversity such as continuous movement, migration, or changes in solidarity or social links with other groups. This is how, on the one hand, this thesis describes the structure and social segmentation that is flexible and varies according to the context, fitting into different historical, geographical, social and political situations that are often unfavorable or hostile. For this reason, and based on ethnographic cases, not only those questions about ethnic affiliation that make a boundary between the Gypsy world of the Gadje (non-Gypsy) world are introduced , but also those other social boundaries that occur in the Gypsy society based on an established internal segmentation . On the other hand, it also refers to the tradition and the Gypsy Law as the regulatory axes of social life. Going deep down into those elements of the Gypsy tradition gives us an understanding of the construction of the Romani identity and contains what is essential and gives meaning to the Gypsy identity. The Gypsy Law as a normative articulation regulates the internal relationships among the Romani, also among other Gypsy groups and especially with the Gadje. And it is based, to a large extent, on the ideology of pollution that delimits and regulates the world of the Gypsies, which is essential to achieve romipēn (“gypsiness”). Furthermore, the main representations, knowledge and practice related to sexuality and reproduction which are linked to the notion of group, as well as questions about God, offspring, contraception and abortion, are involved in the Romani procreative model. Finally, from the detailed description and analysis of the procreative process, which begins from the conception, pregnancy and the moment of birth until the first month of life of the newborn, we can see those notions that are key and are linked to the kinship model of the Romani designed to promote the continuity of the group with the raising of their children.

Abstract:
Esta tesis se construye a través de una etnografía audiovisual sobre los procesos de producción y representación en las narrativas audiovisuales (películas en formato DVD) de productores informales en Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador. Estudia, mediante las teorías de la antropología audiovisual y el cine, la cultura material, condición económica, trayectorias biográficas y profesionales de los productores informales. El estudio propone dos tipos de lenguajes narrativos. El primer lenguaje es un texto escrito que proporciona el andamiaje teórico, además, el sustento metodológico y analítico; y, el segundo, lo conforman dos etnografías audiovisuales enlazadas virtualmente a YouTube, que son columna central de este estudio, donde se presentan los contextos directos de percepción de la realidad, las interacciones de los realizadores, las relaciones sociales, la distribución y comercialización de estas obras. Los análisis de estas condiciones sociales ayudaron a elucidar cómo se representa la percepción de la realidad y cómo influyen directamente en la preproducción, producción, postproducción y comercialización de las realizaciones de los productores informales. Estas interrogantes permitieron realizar un análisis cercano de sus procesos de realización en cuanto a temáticas, estilos, escenarios y distribución comercial, teniendo en cuenta la actuación espontánea, las escenas improvisadas, y el aprovechamiento de espacios y tiempos. Este trabajo profundiza, con el uso de la cámara como dispositivo de diálogo, en la interacción y reflexión entre el etnógrafo audiovisual y los productores informales. Además, demuestra audiovisualmente cómo el etnógrafo piensa y aborda los procesos metodológicos y teóricos en el trabajo de campo, obteniendo como resultados la necesidad de potenciar la utilidad de la etnografía audiovisual como lenguaje que evidencia el rigor antropológico, que permite rescatar múltiples agencias y reflexionar sobre la teoría de la antropología audiovisual, considerando otros caminos en la producción de conocimientos.
This thesis is constructed through audiovisual ethnography about processes of production and representation in the audiovisual narratives (movies in DVD format) of informal producers of the city of Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador. By means of theories of audiovisual anthropology and cinema, the material culture, economic condition, biographical and professional trajectories of informal producers is studied. The study proposes two kinds of narratives languages. The first language is a writing text that it provides the theoretical framework as well as methodological and analytical support. The second one is two audiovisual ethnography linked to YouTube that those are the central column of this study. These present the direct contexts of reality perception, the interactions of producers, the social relationships, the distribution and the commercialization of these narratives. The analysis of these social conditions helped to explain how the perception of reality is represented and how it influence directly to the preproduction, production, postproduction and commercialization of the audiovisual narratives of informal producers. These questions allowed me to make a close analysis of their realization processes in terms of topics, styles, scenarios and commercial distribution, taking into account the spontaneous performance, the improvised scenes, and the use of space and time. Using the camera as a dialogue device, this work delves into the interaction and reflection between the audiovisual ethnographer and the informal producers. In addition, it demonstrates (audiovisually) how the ethnographer thinks and approaches the methodological and theoretical processes in the field work, obtaining as results the necessity to enhance the usefulness of the audiovisual ethnography as a language that demonstrates the anthropological rigor. Which allows rescuing multiple agencies, as well as reflecting on the theory of audiovisual anthropology, considering other forms in the production of knowledge.

O presente trabalho sobre os Ofayé, grupo indígena que atualmente habita uma única aldeia no município de Brasilândia, Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, tem por objetivo realizar um estudo exploratório partindo de dois enfoques principais: a história indígena e a etnografia. Inicialmente apresenta-se um apanhado histórico a partir do que foi escrito a respeito dos Ofayé por lingüistas, etnógrafos e indigenistas, desde o final do século XIX até o início do século XX. Em seguida, retoma-se a história do grupo escrita e contada pelos próprios Ofayé. Passa-se, então, para a descrição de aspectos da organização social, dos modos de vida e das relações interétnicas que constituem a aldeia Ofayé nos dias de hoje, onde co-residem Ofayé, Guarani e não-índios. As fases iniciais do desenvolvimento de software requerem um bom entendimento do público-alvo e suas necessidades. Os métodos convencionais utilizados para alcançar tais objetivos têm um alto custo e os pesquisadores estão sujeitos ao interesse de participação do público-alvo. Este artigo relata a aplicação da netnografia, uma etnografia realizada online, que tem um custo reduzido quando comparada à etnografia convencional e possibilita o alcance de um público-alvo disperso, como é o caso das pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). A netnografia foi aplicada na rede social Instagram para delinear personas de usuários afetados pelo TEA e elicitar requisitos a partir destas personas. Com este relato, espera-se encorajar a adoção de netnografia no desenvolvimento de software devido ao alcance do público-alvo e variedade de dados possíveis de serem obtidos. Como pesquisas futuras, pretende-se investigar o ponto de vista da equipe de desenvolvimento de software sobre o impacto da netnografia.

Este documento de orientación describe los pasos que deben seguirse para diseñar y una investigación etnográfica dirigida por los ciudadanos. Se explica qué es la etnografía ciudadana y se indica qué debe tenerse en cuenta a lo largo del proceso de trabajo con redes de investigadores ciudadanos, desde su reclutamiento, capacitación y apoyo para la recogida y el análisis de datos etnográficos, hasta como transformar los conocimientos que se obtienen para apoyar la preparación y las respuestas a los brotes de enfermedades. El documento también ofrece sugerencias sobre otros recursos para apoyar el proceso. Las recomendaciones están dirigidas a los científicos sociales que deseen integrar a sus investigaciones un enfoque etnográfico dirigido por los ciudadanos, y a aquellos profesionales abocados a tareas de participación comunitaria u otras respuestas a brotes de enfermedades que busquen sumar la perspectiva de las ciencias sociales a sus operaciones. Denne rapport beskriver og analyserer resultaterne af den første fase af Musikalske Besøgs- venner (2020-2021). Projektets formål var at udvikle et nyt, intimt hjemmekoncert format ved at afholde 100 koncerter hjemme hos brugere af besøgsvennetjenester og undersøge koncer- ternes værdi som sundheds- og trivselsfremmende fra publikums og kunstneres perspektiv. Projektet er et samarbejde mellem ROSA og Aarhus Universitet, sammen med ti kunstnere og en række besøgsvennetjenester. I perioden april 2020 til maj 2021 har vi indsamlet læring og erfaringer fra projektet hos både deltagende besøgsvennepar og kunstnere med udgangspunkt i etnografiske og visuelle, del- tagende metoder. Rapporten fremlægger resultater af forskningssamarbejdet og giver en række anbefalinger til projektets næste fase.

Hvad vil det sige at have adgang til kunst- og kulturlivet? Det er ét af de spørgsmål som projektet Musikalske Besøgsvenner stiller. Igennem intimkoncerter i hjemmet undersøger projektet værdien af deltagelse i kulturlivet for brugere af besøgsvennetjenester og andre tilbud for sårbare borgere med mulige ensomhedsproblematikker. Denne rapport beskriver hvordan Musikalske Besøgsvenner har arbejdet med adgang til kultur og viser, hvordan adgang i denne sammenhæng er mere end blot fysisk adgang, men også indeholder hvad vi kalder dimensioner af social, sanselig, følelsesmæssig, tidslig og relationsbaseret adgang. Vi undersøger flerdimensionel adgang til kunst og kultur ved at udfolde deltagernes erfaringer, som vi har indsamlet igennem etnografisk feltarbejde. Igennem vores feltarbejde har vi brugt visuelle og deltagende metoder som en måde at skabe viden om de sanselige, sociale, stemningsmæssige aspekter af det kunstneriske møde. I løbet af processen med at arbejde med billederne og film fra koncerterne indså forskningsgruppen, at disse medier kan give læseren adgang til erfaringer fra musikalske besøgsvenner på en anden måde end teksten tillader. Derfor er rapporten her bygget op omkring billeder, filmklip og personlige historier fra Musikalske Besøgsvenner, som viser adgang til kunst og kultur som et flerdimensionelt forhold, og hvad netop dette koncertformat kan bidrage med i forhold til at give sårbare borgere adgang til musikalske møder. Vi viser, hvordan adgang til konventionel kunst- og kulturliv kan forstås relationelt, snarere end som et spørgsmål om at "aktivere" passive borgere. Adgang til kulturlivet er forbundet med komplekse økonomiske, socio-materielle og sociale relationer.

Abstract:
Questo documento espone alcune considerazioni a proposito della promozione dei vaccini per il SARS-CoV-2 e delle strategie per garantirne un’equa distribuzione tra gli immigrati senza documenti residenti in Italia e, in particolare, a Roma. Quanto emerge dal caso italiano può essere in parte applicabile ad altri contesti in cui la somministrazione del vaccino è stata legata al dispositivo del “passaporto vaccinale”, ovvero il certificato COVID digitale dell'UE, in Italia Green Pass. Nell’organizzazione della campagna vaccinale alcune categorie sociali sono state identificate come “difficili da raggiungere” (hard to reach) e per cui è necessario immaginare interventi specifici.1 In questo testo si sceglie di parlare di persone razzializzate e illegalizzate poiché senza documenti per riferirsi a persone immigrate che non hanno cittadinanza, permesso di soggiorno e status di rifugiato. Questo documento esplora il contesto quotidiano delle vite delle persone illegalizzate e come l’esperienza della pandemia di COVID-19 abbia esacerbato le difficoltà che queste persone incontrano, 23 mettendo in luce il collegamento tra le vulnerabilità, consolidate ed emergenti, con la percezione dei vaccini. Si suggerisce come l’orientamento e la percezione dei vaccini si inseriscano all’interno dei contesti di vita delle persone, in cui molto spesso la priorità è data al sostentamento economico. In molti casi, l’accettazione della vaccinazione è motivata dalla necessità di continuare ad avere un lavoro retribuito piuttosto che a una preoccupazione connessa alla salute o a una fiducia nei confronti delle istituzioni sanitarie. Il seguente documento si pone l’obiettivo di esaminare come i vaccini possano essere distribuiti in modo equo e capace di aumentare la fiducia e i processi di inclusione nella società post-pandemica. Il testo si basa principalmente sulla ricerca etnografica e le testimonianze raccolte attraverso interviste e osservazioni con persone razzializzate e illegalizzate nella città di Roma, insieme a rappresentanti della società civile e operatori socio-sanitari tra dicembre 2021 e gennaio 2022. Questo documento è stato sviluppato per SSHAP da Sara Vallerani (Università di Roma Tre), Elizabeth Storer (LSE) e Costanza Torre (LSE). È stato revisionato da Santiago Ripoll (IDS, Università del Sussex), con ulteriori revisioni da parte di Paolo Ruspini (Università Roma Tre) ed Eloisa Franchi (Université Paris Saclay, Università di Pavia).
