Full textMicroelectronics industry is based on the continuous transistor downscaling. By the year 2016, the 16nm technological node would be achieved, so that structures with nanometric dimensions and high aspect ratio would have to be etch. However, traditional etching processes shows major limitations in terms of pattern profiles control and critical dimensions when such structures have to be etch. The encountered problems are related directly to intrinsic limitations of plasmas processes but also to the emergence of new phenomena’s when the dimensions of structures to etch become nanometric. In the framework of this thesis, a new strategy to produce plasma has been evaluated to develop etching plasmas processes adapted to next integration circuit generations: the pulsed plasmas. Over a first phase, the impact of plasma pulsing parameters (frequency and duty cycle) on the plasma physico-chemical characteristics has been highlight. This has been achievable thanks to advanced plasma analyse techniques (VUV broad band absorption spectroscopy, ion flux probe, retarding electrical field analyser…) developed to allow time resolved measurements. For the neutral flux, diagnostics have revealed that duty cycle is THE key control knob to tune the plasma. Indeed, a low duty cycle leads to reduced parent gas fragmentation and thus a reduced chemical reactivity. On the other hand, in electronegative plasmas and for constant RF power, we have demonstrated that ion energy is considerably increased when the ions flux is decreased (i.e. when the duty cycle is decreased). Then, surface analyses (XPS, SEM, Raman spectroscopy…) brought out the mechanisms involved during the plasma-surface interaction. Deeper comprehension of impact of pulsing parameters enables to develop pulsed plasmas processes more easily. These works are focused on the top of the transistor gate and deal with the following steps: HBr cure, Si-ARC etching, poly-silicon etching. HBr cure is an essential pre-treatment of the 193 nm photoresist to decrease the Line Width Roughness (LWR) of transistor gate. During this step, a carbon rich layer is formed on the surface of the resist pattern and degrades the beneficial action of UV plasma light on LWR reduction. Thanks to use of pulsed plasmas, the origin of this carbon rich layer has been highlight: UV induced modifications in polymer bulk lead to outgassing of volatiles carbon-based products in the plasma. These carbon containing moieties are fragmented by electron impact dissociation reaction in the plasma, which create sticking carbon based precursors available for re-deposition on the resist patterns. The impact of this layer on the LWR and resist pattern reflow is studied, and a possible mechanical origin (i.e. buckling instabilities) is highlighted. Finally, we showed that the use of pulsed HBr curing plasma allows to reduce and control the thickness of the graphite-like layer and to obtain LWR reduction that are comparable to VUV treatment only. The Si-ARC layer, used as hard mask, and the poly-silicon gate etching are based on the use of fluorocarbon plasmas. However, in these plasmas, the production of radicals enable for the polymerisation is decreased when the duty cycle is reduced. It leads to loss of both anisotropy and selectivity. Synchronised pulsed plasmas are then not adapted to such etching processes. To overcome this problem, a new way to produce plasma has been studied: the ICP source power is maintained constant and only the bias power is pulsed. Regarding Si-ARC etching, very anisotropic profiles are obtained and the Si-ARC to resist selectivity is enhanced while pulsing the rf bias to the wafer. In the case of poly-silicon etching, the ARDE effects are significantly reduced while the selectivity regarding the oxide is improved. These results are very promising for the development of polymerising plasmas processes

Full textInitially, the CFD code N3S-Natur used a Finite Volum/Finite Element approach that is only defined an triangular and tetrahedral cells. The objective of this work is to define a new numerical method that can handle hybrid meshes. First, we extend the metric to all kinds of elements. Then, six différent modellings for the diffusive operator, that constitute the main issue, are proposed and tested. These methods are studied in terms of consistency, accuracy and stability. The comparison is carried out both theoretically and numerically using grid convergence and Fourier analysis. Only one method satisfies all the industrial criteria and is therefore implemented in the code. The higher order schemes for the convective operator are modified consequently and the linerisation of the new diffusive flux, that is required for the implication, is treated. The code is successfully validated on a flat plate test case

Full textUrged by the securities' industry boom, the states have made their financial systems evolve from a self-regulated to a regulatory mode and have created securities and exchange commissions. The analysis of their genesis and of the legal texts instituting them will provide us with a typology helpful to enlighten their legal nature, fruit of the alchemy between a uniting with the administrative sphere and a certain organic and functional independance thanks to financial, material and legal (i. E : cooperation) means. In order to achieve their missions, which are complementary to thoses of the other authorities (banking and professional authorities) intervening in the securities' field -where certain problems of jurisdiction between them can emerge-, most of them have an individual regulatory power (authorisation of professionals and activities). Its study will bring to light a dichotomy between the u. S-british pyramidal model based on the type of activities, accepted by the european directive on investment services, and the french structure focused on the status of the person providing the service. Moreover, they have a general regulatory power covering a large spectrum, from issuing regulations and making recommandations to using a real legislative initiative power, and some of them have shown a blameworthy imperialism in its operation. In controlling the respect of authorisations and regulations, they have the rights to examine the public companies and intermediaries' information and the most powerful of them supervise the actors themselves. As a logic consequence of this prerogative, they generally are empowered with an investigation ability to

This dissertation is a comparative study of the contemporary histories given in the official chronicles of these two regimes. The first part is dedicated to the Almohad chronicles. It deals with the historiographical tradition which the Almohads inherited from their predecessors, as well as the fragmentary nature of the corpus of surviving Almohad chronicles. Four surviving Almohad chronicles are analysed in detail. Then, after a presentation of the chronicles of the Ayyubid principalities, four of their chronicles are analysed in detail. In a final section, various themes discussed in the chapters concerning the eight studied chronicles are retaken up in a comparative analysis

Full textThe concept of reparation is becoming more common in criminal law. In fact, reparation is evolving, independently of the civil aspect of the notion, at the heart of alternative measures, commonly known as a “third way”, and in the essence of some sentences. This brings us to questioning the place of the notion of reparation in criminal law: is reparation an alternative to criminal justice or a component of criminal justice? The comparative study of French law, English law and Lebanese law will shed the light on some interesting aspects of the question. It will open the possibility to analyze the different approaches in terms of reparation and to enrich the study of the reparation’s position in criminal law. In a first part, the study of the reparation’s expressions in criminal law will reveal the concept of reparation as a new response to offences. In a second part, the idea of considering reparation as a component of criminal justice will reveal the notion’s special characteristics that make reparation an autonomous concept that needs to be defined. Nowadays, reparation in criminal law redefines the outlines of criminal justice

Full textThe increased importance of international trade has given rise to the developement of alternative dispute resolution techniques, in particular institutional arbitration. Various arbitral institutions offer dispute resolution services which are governed by their respictive statutes. In principle these statutes are compatible with procedural laws. Indeed domestic law generaly limits itself to setting forth a framework in wich arbitration can take place. Consequently, the statute of an arbitral institution is an important source of procedural rules wich apply to disputes resolved uner the auspices of such institution. The rules contained in these statutes must be respected by the parties to the dispute, the arbitrators, and by the institution itself. Each of these statutes set forth, inter alia the conditions under wich a dispute may be submitted to arbitration, the rules concerning appointment of arbitrators and the procedural rules to be applied during the case, as well as rules governing how the costs involved should be apportiond. However, the rules governing arbitration don differ from institution to institution. Furthermore, each institution has its own distinct way of applying such rules

Full textAfter a few general points related to david cohen's communication chart and the existence of universals of language, let us explain how to deal with the quranic text : basic presuppositions, the linguistic and anthropological approach and a selection of the three studied texts : the opening prayer, surahs 54 and 55. The arabic text is studied according to the following three parts : 1 the message : by whom it is stated ; a study of the statement 2 the message : its meaning and contents 3 the message : how it is formulated ; a stylistic study then we shall compare the selected translations verse after verse. Finally we shall try to put them back in their historical context. The first one, called a paraphrase, was made into latin by r. Of ketton in 1143 and inserted in the cluniac corpus which was published by bibliander in 1543. The first translations from the arabic text were put : into french, by a. Du ryer in 1647, into english by g. Sale in 1734, into german by d. F. Megerlin in 1772. Let us point out some outstanding works : a rather accurate latin translation by l. Marracci in 1698, a "fine unfaithful" one in french by cl. E. Savary in 1783, a more precise french one by a. Kasimirski in 1840-41 and some late translations made by muslims : in english by m. Full textThe objective of the PhD thesis « Study and modelling of the pavement reinforcement with glass fibre grid under fatigue loading » is to characterize the reinforcement role of the asphalt surface layer of a pavement subjected to fatigue loading with the glass fibre grid or « geo-grid ». The fatigue behaviour of the composite formed of asphalt mixture and geo-grid is studied in laboratory with four point bending tests (4PB) performed with sinusoidal waveform, at 10°C and 25 Hz. The tested specimens are 630 x 100 x 100 mm3 beams of two types: asphalt beams (non-reinforced) and asphalt beams reinforced with geo-grid (reinforced). A four point bending prototype device was designed to perform the fatigue tests on the big size asphalt specimens. The device respects the European Standards. The experimental results were used for modelling of the damage evolution under fatigue loading of the both types of beams. The damage laws of the materials are Bodin laws programmed in Cast3M finite element code. Two categories of models were conceived, respectively: one layer beam models and tri-layers beam models. Each category has a model of non-reinforced beam and a model of reinforced beam. Furthermore, Castro-Sanchez model was used to predict damage evolution and in particular the number of cycles to failure correspondent to the two types of beams

Full textA comparative study of two legal languages provides considerable scope for research. More than is the case with most types of lsp (language for special purposes), the contrast does not simply concern two different perceptions of the same reality - in law, the signifie is the product of a culture as much as the signifiant. A comparison of the language of law in english and french is particularly revealing, since it brings into play two different legal systems: the common-law and civil-law system respectively. To the best of our knowledge, a comprehensive survey of legal language in french and english has never been undertaken; studies in legal english are notably thin on the ground. This thesis offers a linguistic study of the two, adopting an approach not of comparative law but of comparative stylistics. Particular emphasis is given to the question of rendering culture-specific terms in the other language, and the use of different syntactic structures to express the same idea. Given that legal language is sometimes presented as a "special case", it seemed worthwhile attempting to see if its alleged difference can be attributed to actual linguistic features. These aims account for te division of this work into three parts, dealing in turn with lsp, and with the lexical and morphosyntactic features of legal language. The first part is intended as a foil, to lend perspective to the study of the language of law which follows. The different aspects dealt with are illustrated by examples from a wide-ranging corpus. The ultimate aim is to determine which features legal language shares with other forms of lsp, and to what extent it can indeed be considered a special case
Deliktasli-Tahir, Nesrin. "Etude comparative des participes en turc et en français." Paris 3, 1998. http://www.theses.fr/1998PA030118.
Full textThe research that we present concerns the characteristics of the turkish language writen and oral confronted with the french writen and oral from the analysis of participles with the turkish ones and their equivalents in french. The participle in turkish has six suffixes that are added to the root of the verb (v -(y)en, v- dik, v-mis, v-(y)ecek, v-(y)esi, v-r). It has an adjectival use : it is then invariably, no other suffix comes to attach to the suffix of participle, and it is placed in frontof the name that it determines. It has also a nominal use : it is then endowed with suffixes peculiar to the name (marks of case, possessive suffixes) or the mark of plural -ler, (-lar), and it is placed in front of the group built by the main verb placed at the end of the utterance. It has finally a predicative use : it is then placed in frontof the marker of existential predicate(var/yok). The +anteposition; of the turkish participle is true to the typological order of this agglutinating language [determiner + determinatum]. The participle in french has not a so great regularity as the participle in turkish. It is advisable indeed to distinguish the present participle, characterized by the suffix "-ant", that retains its verb status (actantial construction, modalisation by an adverb), that is invariable, and that has a relative autonomy in the utterance. In case it determines a name, it is necessarily placed after this name, according to the typological order of french [determinatum + determiner]. Our study has considered also the problem of intonatives variations of the participles. This analysis of utterances producted in natural situations shows that the intonative level of participles in turkish takes place in general between the level h2-h3. We have examined successively the intonative characteristics of the present participle in -(y)en then of the passed participle in -dik and in -mi@ and finally of the future participle in -(y)ecek. The analysis and hypothesises that we have presented take into account of the intonative recurrent facts in two corpus collect. The intonative analysis of participles show three different cases : either the participle has a rising intonative curve in relation to the n that follows it, or the participle has a descending intonative curve in relation to the n or else the both have flat intonative curves

Full textThis study deals about children's parental representations; the term of representation is defined as being one whole of affects, emotions, feelings, suchas as they have been interiorizes in the course of social situations through modalites related to the others and through interpersonal conflicts. The parental representations will be intimately connected to a problematic ambivalence so far as tendencies, attitudes and averse feelings will be simultaneously present. The theoric model is based on a dynamic conception of the personality en connection with the wortking of the imaginary when the dialectic process of identification allons the surpassing of conflicts which settle themselves during the life but according to the different modalites all along the varions phases of the developpment. We have been working from documents collected among a population of 128 children, including: a protocole collected with the help of a projective thematic technology(in occurence the d. P. I personal dynamic and pictures) a conversation with the child about the parents in general and a conversation with the parents. This empiric work includes two important parts: a quantitative study essentially based on a comparative approch of the parental representations in terms of differential variables which have been selected; the age (comparison between two categories of children between six and nine years old); the sex (comparison between boys and girls); the social cultural environment (comparison between children born from a favoured social-cultural environment and others from a infavourable environment); a quantitative approch based on the chinic study of five matters. Full textThe development of modern technologies requires that one use materials presenting high mechanical properties specific to their employment, but whose densities are low. The composite materials are materials which fulfil the preceding requirements. Because of their interest, the composite materials were initially used in aerospace, automotive, and construction industries. In composites, a class of particular interest ragarding the possibilities of design and development concern the sandwich structures resulting from a general assembly of a skin material with high stiffness and core materials of low density. The final properties of the materials are directly derived to the industry, many developments and studies in recent years have been aimed at optimizing the ratio mechanical performance over density. This thesis was undertaken with the same objective, but by having a strategy of optimization being focused more particulary on core materials. Our process is to reconsider in its entirety core materials and to propose a new concept of core complex which rests on the material stacking of different nature according to a quite precise sequence. The experimental results are correlated with those obtained by a theoretical approach based on a finite element method

Full textVibrio strains belonging to the Splendidus clade have been repeatedly found in juvenile diseased oysters affected by summer mortalities. V. tasmaniensis LGP32 is an intracellular pathogen of oyster hemocytes which has been reported to alter the oxidative burst and inhibit phagosome maturation. We here focus on the interactions between phagocytes and V. tasmaniensis LGP32, at molecular, cellular and environmental scales. In the first part of this work, we uncover anunknown antimicrobial mechanism of C. gigas hemocytes: the formation of DNA extracellular traps (ETs). These ETs are associated with antimicrobial histones and are able to entrap bacteria. As in vertebrates, ETs formation depends on reactive oxygen species production. In addition, the presence of ETs was confirmed in vivo and has been associated with antimicrobial histones accumulation in tissues, in response to injury or infection. In the second part of this work, we studied the interactions between V. tasmaniensis LGP32 and heterotrophic protists found in the oyster’s environment, such as amoebae and ciliates, which feed on microorganisms by phagocytosis. An important result of this workwas that V. tasmaniensis LGP32 resists to phagocytosis by environmental heterotrophic protists, as well as to oyster hemocytes. To our knowledge, this is the first mechanical description of an interaction between marine amoebae and marine pathogenic bacteria. As the amoebae were isolated from the direct environment of oysters, we can presume that the selective pressure exerted by environmental phagocytes could select for virulence and/or phagocytosis resistance traits in marine bacteria as in the case of V. tasmaniensis LGP32

Full textThe mechanical properties of cellular materials are related to their micro-structure. In fact, macroscopic stresses are the consequence of stresses in the cell wall and struts and of stresses in the cell walls and struts and of the cell failure mechanisms. In the present work we perform tomography during in situ compression tests on different type of foams to inspect the 3D-microstructure and deformation mechanisms. We also present a method to transform large data images of actual microstructures into a tetrahedral mesh, which will be used to model the mechanical behaviour by the finite element method. We finally confront computation results and in situ observations to validate the model. X-ray Computed Micro Tomography (XRCMT) has been widely used recently as a non-destructive technique that gives picture of the interior of cellular solids. This allows studying architectural parameters and, when coupled with in situ loading tests, deformation mechanisms of foams. Local deformation mechanisms of closed cell foam have been studied during compression experimentally by X-Ray tomography and numerically by FEM. The presence of elastic buckling and plastic yielding of foam walls was observed. The combination of effective e modelling tools gives attractive opportunities to build sufficiently large data model to represent the foam structure. Once the modelling technique was validated, we use it to study the effect of various bulk material properties for a same microstructure of the foam on the mechanical behaviour. The mechanical response of these foams was also studied numerically under various uniaxial loads configuration and multiaxial loading
