Full textThis research work focuses on the entry mode choices that best fit the needs of SMEs of engineering services which set up their business into emerging markets. The context is twofold: a country with transition economy, Russia, and the so-called « Born Global » SME of knowledge intensive business services (KIBS), operating in the oilfield sector. Our study tries to identify factors that may help successfully overcome the entry barriers in this particular context. To conduct this research, we used an empirical approach of primary data collected directly from the field. Our exploratory qualitative analysis has been carried out longitudinally and involves data collection of single case study over the period 2006-2013. The method of single case study was privileged in order to validate our research proposals that emerged from the theoretical background related to the works about: entry mode, « Born Global » SME, the internationalization of professional business service, networks. Our descriptive results indicate that « Born Global » KIBS firms attempt to set up their business by following their clients, through relationship marketing and networks approach as a tool to get an access to reliable information in the turbulent environment, reinforced by the offer differentiation, reactivity and a niche strategy. The work and the outcomes of KIBS cannot be immediately evaluated, which require to convince customers through the management of rhetorical skills of contact persons, image production and interactions with central clients. Moreover, our results show the importance of pre-export phase to perform better the set up project in the context of emerging market

Full textThis doctoral work is devoted to the development of intercultural communication skills in the international professional context. The transversality of the field of research has revealed the need to reconcile various epistemological currents, theorizing the relationships between culture, skills, communication, identities and values. This research project was carried out on the basis of an international agreement establishing co-direction of research between the University of Bordeaux Montaigne (information sciences and communication) and the University of Friendship between People in Russia ( RUDN) (Sociology of Management). The work presents the cultural differences influencing intercultural communication, among which are those related to social structure, traditions and norms of behavior, corporate culture, habits and preferences of employees due to expectations of social roles that are awarded by educational institutions. The practical part of the study is an analysis of semi-structured interviews recorded as part of a project entitled "Russia-France intercultural professional dialogue". This is a qualitative study completed by a multiple-choice questionnaire with employees working in a country other than their country of origin (seventy interviews: 35 interviews with Russian executives working in France and 35 interviews with French managers working in Russia). To present the results of the research, the author of the thesis uses a content analysis that has made it possible to draw up a list of sociocultural elements that influence the development of professional competence in intercultural communication: the temporal dimension, the experience of intercultural interaction in moments of crisis, motivation and evolution of the status of the individual on both "personal" and "interpersonal" levels, "economic" factors and "intangible" factors such as recognition of individual, linguistic factors, an attitude towards stereotypes and traditions). The research work proposes a model for the selection and preparation of executives in the field of international cooperation. This model consists of the elements necessary to identify the main target strategies of intercultural learning models in order to apprehend at. a new intercultural experience b. an evolution of the status and professional and personal reputation of the individual c. learning foreign languages. The work introduces a central notion to the thesis, that of "intercultural cooperation space" understood as a security zone, where no one claims to destroy cultural values or traditions, but where everyone is in a state of cooperation

The PhD thesis starts with this paradox: in the 2000s, the Russian party system is dominated by United Russia called the party of power. Nevertheless, this system also allows the existence of parties that claim to be the opposition, while being loyal to the political regime and its leaders. How do these parties resolve this paradox?
The doctoral dissertation in political science seeks to understand the role of parliamentary opposition parties in Russia between 2005 and 2010. It is based on the study of regional branches of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF), the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) and Just Russia (SR) in Tomsk, Western Siberia. The qualitative data were collected during eight and a half months of field research in Russia. An organizational and functional approach to the study of political parties is used to understand their role in the Russian political system.
The thesis tests three hypotheses: first, the opposition parliamentary parties perform certain functions in the political system that gives them the support of voters and members. Second, the party organizations of the LDPR, the KPRF and Just Russia are centralized to limit the flexibility of local branches and allow tight control of the central apparatus. Third, we examine if these parties transform the support of voters into support for the regime in the parliamentary institutions at the local level.
The results show three elements. First, it shows that the KPRF, the LDPR and Just Russia perform several functions in the political system. On the one hand, they are platforms for businessmen to access to the organs of power; on the other hand, they express problems, offer an alternative, and disqualify some practices. During elections, and within the regional parliament, parliamentary opposition parties perform to a certain extent the function of organizing opposition. Moreover, the KPRF, the LDPR and Just Russia support citizens in various ways.
Then, the dissertation verifies that the three parties have a centralized internal structure. But it also highlights the interdependence between federal headquarters and regional branches within each party.
Finally, the case of Tomsk shows that formal loyalty to the regime, and a real opposition at the same time, is possible as far as the KPRF, the LDPR and Just Russia are concerned.

Full textThe methodology of assessment in psychotherapy has long been limited to results from comparative group clinical trials. The objective, expressed in the 2000s, to understand what is causing its effectiveness has involved a methodological renewal. Its concrete application is poorly documented. The first part presents, from a review of the literature focusing on the introduction of research on the process associated with outcomes, how the multifactorial interactional paradigm of psychotherapy has stimulated the development of methods adapted to the complexity and observation in natural conditions. The second part introduces the general and specific methodological questions of this new orientation around five main axes: 1. an interactional and transactional epistemology; 2. A refocusing on intensive mixed case studies; 3. A multifocal clinical and theoretical investigation of the processes and mechanisms of change; 4. a strong clinical-researcher relationship; 5. an innovative statistical approach. The third part presents the experience and issues raised by the implementation of this program as part of a practice-oriented clinical research network, from data collection to analysis of processes and mechanisms of change, and results. The fourth part presents a detailed review of the literature. This work should foster collaborations with related disciplines and treatment efficiency through a better understanding of the conditions and mechanisms of change associated with the development of a case study database
