Abstract:
Occupational therapists in the Atlantic Region were surveyed to identify their perceptions of the importance of evaluating social skills in their practice, and to determine how they evaluate clients' social skills. Although 79% indicated that social skills evaluations were relevant, the majority reported that clinical observations were used almost exclusively for assessment. Only 29% of the respondents reported using any formal evaluation of social skills. According to the respondents, the evaluation process was hampered by their limited knowledge of available evaluation tools, limited access

During February-March 1992, two mailings were sent to pharmacy directors at 491 randomly selected institutions. A net response rate of 66.6% (327/491) was achieved. The level of pharmacist participation in DUE program activities was found to be very high and to have a significant, positive correlation with the rated effectiveness of current DUE programs and the rated importance of pharmacist participation in DUE program activitie

We use a total survey error approach to examine and make recommendations on how to adjust for non-sampling error in longitudinal, mixed-mode surveys. Using data from the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), we examine three major sources of non-sampling error: telescoping, mode effects, and fatigue. We present an assessment of each source of error from a total survey error perspective and propose alternative adjustments to adjust better for this error. Findings suggest that telescoping and fatigue are likely sources of error in the NCVS, but the use of mixed-modes is not. Furthermore, b
