Tinlot, Guillaume. "Architecture et évolution des alliances : une analyse en termes de pouvoir." Chambéry, 2005. http://www.theses.fr/2005CHAML019.
Full textThis PhD aims to analyze interfirm cooperation through the concept of power. An alliance is an organizational form where power relations take place. We first show that the initial bargaining power equilibrium prevailing in the alliance determines its governance structure. Regarding alliance evolution, three evolution scenarii have been identified : a “voice” scenario (alliance renegotiation-reconfiguration) , an “exit” scenario (end of cooperation) and a loyalty scenario (alliance stability ). The concept of power turns out to be very fertile in better understanding alliance structuring and evolution. This better understanding paves the way for designing adequate alliance life-cycle management tools and methods

Full textThe logistic chains represent a competitive advantage that companies try to maintain. Nevertheless, it is never easy to anticipate the evolution of a logistics chain. Consequently, to integrate the disturbances as a parameter into the study of the chain can allow limiting its vulnerability. The research works presented in this thesis, within the context of cooperation with the logistics department of EADS, concern the definition of a modeling approach and an oriented agent simulation of logistic chains in a context with strong disturbances (the crisis management logistics chain). However, work in an uncertain environment; incite to be equipped with cooperation mechanisms assuring all the actors of the chain satisfaction, while acting in a collective way to reach a common objective: the crisis management. To resolve this kind of problem, we defined in this thesis two interaction modes and negotiation protocols based on the cooperation between agents. These protocols, validated in a crisis management application, allow us to take into account the dependencies between the different negotiation issues. To demonstrate, the efficiency of the used approaches, we represented the variation of the bullwhip effect according to the used approach. We concluded that the cooperation is essential and allows reducing efficiently the bullwhip effect along a logistics chain. A demonstrator OBAC was realized, integrating all this approaches and military applications
Tenenbaum, Charles. "La médiation dans les relations internationales : évolutions et transformations depuis 1945." Paris, Institut d'études politiques, 2010. http://www.theses.fr/2010IEPP0020.
Full textOn the contemporary international scene, pacification strategies are now the product of a growing cooperation between practitioners belonging to a number of specialized and competing networks. These more and more interdependent peacemakers all take part in creating the patterns of an upcoming integrative practice of international mediation. Mirroring global transformations within the structure of the international system, mediators have proliferated, while the use of mediation since 1945 has been largely extended from conflict prevention to conflict resolution and post-conflict management. Historically monopolized by the State, the practice of contemporary international mediation now involves numerous private organizations along with individuals, peace churches, Think Tanks, etc. Reshaping traditional peacemaking strategies, these transformations are closely linked to the liberalization of diplomatic actors and resources. Following a sociological approach based on interviews with a number of mediators and conflict resolution experts, the following doctoral dissertation presents a detailed analysis of a broad range of peacemakers, both public and private. Paying attention to the religious affiliations of many international mediation organizations and to the spiritual dimension of contemporary peacemaking, this study also offers an in-depth analysis of mediation by scholar-practitioners, enhancing the role of peace and conflict resolution studies in the formation of an autonomous academic discipline

Full textThis thesis focuses on the effects that information has on incentives. The three papers provide and explore some results when the information is the main variable of interest, it is made endogenous, not homogeneous between actors and evolving over time in a way that is not necessarily rational. The first paper studies hold-up problems in vertical hierarchies with adverse selection showing that as the bargaining power of the worker increases, distortions coming from asymmetric information vanish. Moreover, it studies the effect of schooling and degree of heterogeneity in the workforce on the allocation of bargaining power in regulating markets. The second paper relaxes the common assumption of homogeneous beliefs in principal-agent relationships with adverse selection. In an evolutionary learning set-up, which is imitative, principals can have different beliefs about the distribution of agents’ types in the population. Convergence to a uniform belief depends on the relative size of the bias in beliefs. In addition, the set-up is a version of a stable cobweb model. Our approach offers explanations for alternating periods of oscillating and relatively steady quantity. The third paper studies how the informative content of legal policies as strict-liability and fault-based, in case of moral concerns, influences the optimal design of liability regimes. Many recent cases show that an individual found to have caused harm faces not only the possibility of a legal sanction — e.g., the damages he must pay — but also social boycott, disapproval or stigma. The paper shows that the choice of a policy depends in a complex way on the magnitude of the harm and the “moral cost”.Keywords: Bargaining, Adverse Selection, Hold-up, Evolutionary Game Theory, Heterogeneous Beliefs, Bifurcation Theory, Boycott, Law Enforcement, Strict Liability, Negligence
