En la posmodernidad, los ex-libris y los exlibristas forman un microcosmo englobado en la galaxia del arte. Regularmente se ha escrito mucho y bueno sobre ellos por doctos y eruditos seguidores de estas pequeñas estampas, la gran mayoría de estos escritos son sobre su uso, su prolija y extensa historia, sus artistas y sus patrones. Muchos siglos han transcurrido desde que el faraón de la XVIII dinastía, Amenofis III (1391-1351 a.C.) usó el primer ex-libris conocido hasta nuestros días. Durante estos siglos incontables bibliotecarios y exlibristas han estado vinculados a ellos, dado que son unas obras de arte con unas características y peculiaridades muy particulares: su función y su formato.
Lo mismo que el legendario héroe griego, los ex-libris han emprendido un largo y duro viaje hacia Ítaca. Han pasado épocas de olvido y ostracismo y otras de evocación y gloria, pero las preguntas que surgen de este eterno viaje son: ¿Qué le ha sucediendo a estas pequeñas estampas superada la modernidad de principios del siglo XXI?, ¿Tienen su razón de ser en torno a la función por la que fueron creadas?, ¿Cuál es la situación de sus seguidores, los exlibristas en la sociedad actual?, ¿Cómo es su proceder artístico, su sistema económico y las estructuras de poder dentro de sus asociaciones?, ¿Qué efectos ha producido la globalización sobre ellos?, ¿Cómo han evolucionado técnicamente? Poco, muy poco se ha comentado sobre su estado actual, y la repercusión sobre los efectos que el espacio y el tiempo han dejado inscritos en ellos. Esta pretende ser una visión desde la posmodernidad en la segunda década del siglo XXI, inmersa en un nuevo modelo social que el sociólogo Zygmunt Bauman define como líquido y mundializado.
En este trabajo sobre los ex-libris se ha utilizado una metodología multidisciplinar. Tal como indica su título, engloba técnicas de investigación vinculadas a la historia, la sociología y principalmente a la antropología. La intención principal es mantener toda la severidad y rigor científico que demanda un trabajo universitario. Al ser los ex-libris inicialmente un objeto artístico (funcional y estético) con unos rasgos muy particulares, se incluirán en la tesis un considerable número de ellos seleccionados por diferentes variables: su técnica, el patrón a quien pertenecen, su simbología, su creador, su procedencia u otros criterios específicos. El principio que se sigue para su inclusión, es que estén plenamente integrados en el contexto preciso del texto en el que aparecen, formando la escritura y la imagen una unidad consubstancial.
El objetivo es explorar el mundo de los ex-libris, y su entramado artístico, histórico, social y antropológico con los máximos parámetros de objetividad, es decir, sin que la observación, la descripción, la comprensión y la explicación sean deformadas ni manipuladas hacia ningún interés ajeno al propuesto en esta tesis.

The aim of this study is to examine the historical information about women’s libraries and book ownership during the early modern period in the work of Carl Magnus Carlander, Svenska bibliotek och ex-libris [Swedish libraries and ex-libris] (1904) and to inquire the scientific value of the information. A gender perspective is applied to the study. Gender is understood as a social and cultural constructed concept, dealing with female and male identities as interdependent categories.The study of Svenska bibliotek och ex-libris is made using source criticism and it has two parts. The first part deals with external conditions of the creation of the work; the life of C. M. Carlander and his motives for writing the work. The cultural and scientific context of the late 20th century, especially ideas and practices of book collecting, is discussed in relation to the work of Carlander. In the second part of the study book ownership and libraries of ten women described in the text are analysed, evaluating the evidence of the information on the basis of criteria used in source criticism; time, independence and tendency.The biggest contribution to library history made by Carlander in this work is the attributing of book ownerships marks, as relics, to historical persons on a broad scale, giving subsequent researchers the possibility to continue his work on a more text sociological basis than thought of during the late 19th century.Program: Bibliotekarie

Il presente elaborato si propone di studiare un corpus di estratti di romanzi originali italiani e tradotti dall’inglese e dal francese provenienti dalla collana per ragazze/i Ex Libris del Gruppo EL. La letteratura per ragazze/i è oggi un caso editoriale e gioca un ruolo fondamentale nella crescita dei/lle giovani lettori/trici. Tuttavia, può anche promuovere rappresentazioni di genere stereotipate. Lo studio qui presentato mira a individuare fenomeni linguistici problematici in prospettiva di genere e a descriverne l'evoluzione diacronica. Nel primo capitolo presenteremo la letteratura per l’infanzia, l’ambito in cui la sezione per ragazze/i nasce e si sviluppa, con un focus sul contesto italiano. Successivamente, presenteremo le riflessioni femministe sul sessismo dei modelli educativi e della lingua dei prodotti culturali per l’infanzia. Offriremo poi una panoramica del mercato editoriale per l’infanzia, descrivendo le realtà più innovative nell’ambito della promozione della parità di genere. Nel secondo capitolo ci occuperemo della trattazione storica e teorica dei Translation Studies, con un focus sul Cultural turn, che ha portato all’emergere della teoria femminista della traduzione. Seguirà un terzo capitolo sulle caratteristiche e le problematiche della traduzione della letteratura per l’infanzia, con un approfondimento sulle sue affinità con la traduzione femminista. Nel quarto capitolo tratteremo il fruttuoso rapporto tra Corpus Linguistics, studi letterari e stilistici e Translation Studies. Nel quinto capitolo verrà presentata la collana oggetto di studio e si evidenzierà la sua somiglianza con la collana francese Page Blanche di Éditions Gallimard, che verrà contestualizzata in ottica sociologica. Il sesto capitolo è dedicato, infine, alla costruzione del corpus e allo studio empirico della collana Ex Libris, che si concentrerà sullo studio dei lemmi che identificano le figure genitoriali, personaggi centrali nella produzione per ragazze/i.

Das Internet ist heute die zentrale Infrastruktur für die Recherche, Distribution und Nutzung von Informationen. Entsprechend hat sich auch die Suche nach Bibliotheksbeständen weitgehend ins Internet verlagert: Der Online-Katalog gilt heute als zentrales Auskunftsmittel und Visitenkarte einer Bibliothek. Die laufende, aus Mitteln des Europäischen Fonds für Regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) geförderte elektronische Nacherfassung von über einer Million Zettelkatalogisaten wird diesen Trend in der Sächsischen Landesbibliothek – Staats und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden (SLUB) weiter beschleunigen. Bis 2013 soll es im Bibliotheksbestand kein Dokument mehr geben, das nicht online verzeichnet ist.

Employing a textual analysis within an auteur theory framework, this thesis examines Frederick Wiseman's films At Berkeley (2013), National Gallery (2014), and Ex Libris (2017) and the different ways in which they reflect on the theme of time. The National Gallery, University of California at Berkeley, and the New York Public Library all share a fundamental common purpose: the preservation and circulation of "truth" through time. Whether it be artistic, scientific, or historical truth, these institutions act as cultural and historical safe-keepers for future generations. Wiseman explores these themes related to time and truth by juxtaposing oppositional binary motifs such as time/timelessness, progress/repetition, and reality/fiction. These are also Wiseman's most self-reflexive films, acting as a reflection on his past filmmaking career as well as a meditation on the value these films might have for future generations. Finally, Wiseman's reflection on the nature of time through these films are connected to the ideas of French philosopher Henri Bergson.

Il a été l'illustrateur de 3 volumes des "verkiingende weisen" édités par l'abbé Louis Pinck, le cure-folkloriste de Hambach. Grace à son don d'adaptation aux situations, il a illustré de nombreux calendriers, almanachs, livres, articles de presse qui lui ont valu la renommée d'imagier populaire. Il a été le créateur d'affiches, d'en-têtes de revues, de diplômes et de dessins de paysages qui restent des souvenirs d'une époque révolue. Ses ex-libris, échanges avec d'autres xylographes, sont connus dans le monde des collectionneurs de ces vignettes : il a ete a l'origine de la création, en 1933, de l'association des amis de l'ex-libris en alsace. És una investigació, anàlisis, i aproximació a l’obra gràfica de l’artista mallorquí, del segle XX, Pere Quetglas, conegut pel pseudònim de “Xam”. La seva activitat s'ha sistematitzat sobre la base la biografia, tècniques treballades i el seu entorn.
Xam, es va exercitar en la caricatura, el dibuix, el cartell, el gravat xilogràfic, la pintura, els monotips, la serigrafia i en el gravat calcogràfic. Del conjunt de tota la seva producció l’autor se centra en l'obra gràfica produïda a partir de 1944, quan pot datar-se la seva primera xilografia, i la seva defunció, l’any 2001, en el qual realitza la seva última litografia.
El treball s'insereix en un àmbit sense tradició immediata sobre l'obra gràfica a Mallorca, pràcticament desapareguda després de la important impremta Guasp.
S'han pogut documentar més de 400 matrius. Alhora, s'han treballat les estampacions d'aquestes, que ascendeixen a 600 estampes calcogràfiques, xilogràfiques, serigràfiques i litogràfiques.Es una investigación, análisis, y aproximación a la obra gráfica del artista mallorquín, del siglo XX, Pedro Quetglas, conocido por el seudónimo de “Xam”. Su actividad se ha sistematizado en base a la biografía, técnicas trabajadas y a su entorno. La tarea se inserta en un ámbito sin tradición inmediata sobre la obra gráfica en Mallorca, prácticamente desaparecida tras la importante imprenta Guasp. Se han podido documentar más de 400 matrices. The thesis is research, analysis and approach to the graphic work of the Majorcan artist of the 20th century, Pedro Quetglas, known by his pseudonym "Xam". Xam worked in several art fields, such as caricature, drawing, designing and painting posters, woodcut, painting, monotype, serigraphy and calcography engraving. From the sum of his work the thesis is centred in the graphic work produced between 1944, when we can date the first xylography, and his death, 2001, when he finished his last lithography. The task was inserted in a field without immediate tradition on the graphic work in Mallorca, which practically went missing after the important Guasp printing house closed down. It has been possible to document more than 400 blocks and, at the same time, the prints of those which add up to 600 prints on chalcography, xylography, serigraphy and lithography.

Ex-Libris are small pieces of prints. They are a type of mature artwork has been developing in western countries ever since the 15th century ranging from the illustrations in the Bible to micro-art pieces perished by many today. However, this type of artwork did not have the same attention in Taiwan until the recent 20 years. This study of creation was based on literature review and investigated the origin of Ex-Libris, their symbolic significance and the development of Ex-Libris collecting in Taiwan. The results from the analysis on the type of style and presentation of wood-engraving prints were incorporated in the creation. Ex-Libris started booming in the 1990s and 2000s in Taiwan. The art and culture presentation became bolder and more diversified. The art of Ex-Libris drew attention in this era. This work was created with the topic of cultures in the 1990s and 2000s. The intention was to make people more interested in reading and develop their literary of aesthetics and arts with the promotion and knowledge of Ex-Libris.

Integration of information technology into instruction has become the trend of the education. Although Web-Based learning has been proved that it really has the effects in education,there are only few teachers put it into practice .The chief reason is that the teachers have no ideas of how to construct the Web-Based learning environment. Respecting this phenomenon, this research takes “Ex-Libris” curriculum in Arts and Humanity field for example. After the processes of literary reviews, experts interviewing, constructing the Web-Based learning environment of Ex-Libris, evaluating by teachers of Arts and Humanity field, this resaerch generalizes three conclusions as follows: First, there are three types of domestic art education websites: 1.art information providing website; 2.teachers’ personal websites; 3.Web-Based learning environment. Second, the Arts and Humanity teachers have suggestions and suspicions of Web-Based learning environment for four aspects: 1.the equipments and supports; 2. ability of technology; 3.will of maintaining; 4.necessity. The second conclusion also points out that teachers have more conceptions of the Web-Based learning environment than ever.Third,this research has brought up twelve steps of constructing the Web-Based learning environment: 1.subject choosing; 2.goals setting; 3.methods; 4.programs setting; 5.frame planning; 6.materials choosing; 7.layout; 8.homepage software; 9.multimedia; 10.assistant programs; 11.uploading;12.maintaining.

(in English): The diploma thesis deals with the conceptual model functional requirements for bibliographic records and its implementation or FRBRisation of library information systems abroad. The introduction of the thesis presents in brief the FRBR conceptual model and its family. The second chapter discusses the development of FRBRisation activities since the creation of the FRBR study to the present. The third chapter presents a more detailed description of the FRBRisation process and presents the benefits and challenges of these projects. In connection with this, the impact on cataloging standards and data structures is also mentioned, as well as the currently debated issue concerning the possible ways of presenting the FRBRised data. The last chapter of the diploma thesis contains analysis and comparison of two selected FRBRised systems (BORéAL union catalog and Primo discovery system), with emphasis on the means and scope of FRBR implementation and user interface.

This thesis, called "Jaromír Malý the journalist and regionalist" deals with this remarkable person comming from the southern Bohemia who lived from 1885 to 1955. The thesis describes his life story and focuses on its significance. The thesis is divided into nine chapters. The first of them brings a summary of basic literature dealing with Jaromír Malý and concentrates on particular titles and studies denoted to South Bohemian regionalism. The second chapter focuses on Jaromír Malý´s life story. It depicts his studies as a term of his life and subsequent carrier in Prague, as well as relationship to his family and wife particularly. This chapter includes an analysis of letters sent by Jaromír Malý from concentration camps in Germany, in which he forcibly resided. The third chapter aims to describe his journalistic work and brings an analysis of his work done for Progressive students magazine and Progressive revue. The fourth chapter endeavours to introduce Jaromír Malý´s work in periodicals, especially the work for a local magazine Otavan. The fifth chapter is focused on a local club Prácheň, one of which founders Jaromír Malý was. In the sixth chapter Jaromír Malý´s opinion on a role of the southern Bohemia in the czech countries is given. The seventh chapter brings a description of so called cultural world of Jaromír Malý. On the basis of his archival fund which passed down fortunately, many important persons he met or kept in touch are mentioned. Beside this, the chapter brings a basic summary of his participation in cultural events and membership in various societies. The last but one chapter shows Jaromír Malý´s most favourite interest, i.e. collecting ex libris. The last chapter summarizes significance of Jaromír Malý. At the end of the thesis, there is a list of explored literature and a list of attachements. The attachments are composed of list of articles which Jaromír Malý wrote for respective magazines, list of his studies and papers that were issued separately, list of the most important dates connected to Jaromír Malý and his life, and pictures as well. In these pictures, Jaromír Malý is depicted in various stages of his life. There are also his birth certificate, school reports, invitations to cultural events, ex libris, Jaromír Malý´s death notification and several pieces of correspondence with his friends and family.
