Abstract:
<p>The present study intends to explore the level of practical examination anxiety<br />among secondary and higher secondary school students and its causes and<br />remedies. A self-developed Perceived Science Practical Anxiety Scale (PSPAS)<br />was used to collect quantitative data from 900 science students of two districts of central Punjab: Sargodha and Faisalabad. Moreover, 50 students were interviewed to explore their perceptions of the causes of science practical examination anxiety and the remedies to reduce it. All students had recently taken science practical examination and therefore had first-hand vivid experience of science practical examination anxiety. The analysis of responses in the questionnaire revealed that on an average more than half (61.50 %) of the students experienced anxiety during practical examination. Fourteen sources of anxiety during practical examination were ranked and synthesis of qualitative data from interviews recorded five categories of anxiety causes: shortage and unavailability of the materials, lack of practice, harsh behaviour of laboratory personnel, over loaded syllabus and lack of guidance. The students’ opinion regarding reducing anxiety was synthesized into four themes: relaxation during practical examination, individual level preparation, completion of practical syllabus well before time and training of laboratory personnel. The findings of the study may be beneficial for teachers, school mangers and policy makers and those who are responsible for the preparation and execution of examination policies, to reduce anxiety among students.</p><p><strong>Keywords:</strong> high stake examinations, higher secondary schools, laboratory work examinations, self-assessment, student anxiety</p>

Abstract:
Workers’ health should be considered as a strategically important component of governmental economic policy. Nowadays society economic damage due to lost vocational fi tness because of medical causes results mostly from general somatic diseases, but not from occupational diseases. In stable tendency to ageing able-bodied population, studies of medical causes of vocational unfi tness is a topical problem. To analyze causes of lost vocational fitness for work in jeopardy and (or) hazardous work conditions, to determine quantitative parameters of vocational unfi tness in mandatory medical examinations, to evaluate nosologic structure of medical contraindications to work in jeopardy and (or) hazardous work conditions, the authors studied demographic data of Federal service of governmental statistics and data on fi rst diagnosed occupational diseases by materials of Governmental reports of Federal service on supervision in consumers’ rights protection and human well-being. Studies also covered data of FBUN “Ekaterinburg medical research center of prevention and health care for industrial workers” of Rospotrebnadzor (EMNTs): database on fi rst diagnosed occupational diseases in Sverdlovsk region, conclusion reports on periodic medical examination results, and medical records of workers underwent periodic medical examination in EMNTs. Th e data were analyzed with descriptive and inductive statistic methods. In constant medical contraindications structure by nosologic types, according to periodic medical examinations in EMNTs, major part of refused permission to the work was associated with diseases in ICD–10 class VII “Diseases of eye and its appendages”, on the 2nd place — diseases of ICD–10 class VIII “Diseases of ear and mastoid process”, on the 3rd place — diseases of ICD–10 class XI “Digestion diseases”. Recommendations are in Russian Federation Health Ministry to consider necessity of workers’ possibility to receive additional examination and special medical care within governmental program of guaranteed free medical care in cases when the diagnosed disease causes refused permission to work.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between individual- and country-level values and preferences for job/organizational attributes. Design/methodology/approach – Survey data were collected from 475 full-time employees (average of nine years work experience, and three years in a managerial position) enrolled in part-time MBA programs in seven countries. Findings – Preference for a harmonious workplace is positively related to horizontal collectivism, whereas preference for remuneration/advancement is positively related to vertical individualism. The authors also find a positive relationship between preference for meaningful work and horizontal individualism, and between preference for employer prestige and social adjustment (SA) needs. Research limitations/implications – Although the sample comprised experienced, full-time professionals, using graduate business students may limit generalizability. Overall, the results provide initial support for the utility of incorporating the multi-dimensional individualism and collectivism measure, as well as SA needs, when assessing the relationships between values and employee preferences. Practical implications – For practitioners, the primary conclusion is that making assumptions about preferences based on nationality is risky. Findings may also prove useful for enhancing person-organization fit and the ability to attract and retain qualified workers. Originality/value – This study extends research on workers’ preferences by incorporating a new set of values and sampling experienced workers in a range of cultural contexts.

Abstract:
Agriculture has been and probably will be a significant branch in the south part of the Great Plain in the future as well. Besides the mass products and in many cases instead of them when forming the agricultural structure, this region has to pay more attention to the branches that were important in the past. Hungarian experts who are famous in foreign countries as well deal with these branches and they provide excellent products. The rules referring to these products are more liberal in the market places of the European Union and their development is not controlled by strict quota systems. In the south part of the Great Hungarian Plain a lot of unique products of excellent quality are produced. Here in this essay we would like to find the answer to the question how the two significant products of the southern part of the Great Hungarian Plain can provide the families with the income that they can live on.We aim at the economical examination of the cucumber grown in Méhkerék and asparagus of Homok. To do this we will apply the so called Standard Gross Margin. The agriculture of the states of the European Union is measured with the help of this method. It can also help us in the future to decide whether the different farms belonging to families are economically viable in Hungary.

Abstract:
AbstractProtestant critique of the Catholic idea of inherent righteousness has, since the time of the Reformation, given rise to counter-questions about the status of faith in Protestant theology. Is faith a human condition for justification (that is, a human act or inherent property which is necessary for justification), and why should not faith in that case be counted as a kind of work? Many Protestant theologians, however, view it as very important to dissociate faith from works. This article examines a number of Protestant attempts to explain why faith is not a work. The examined explanations rely on a number of ideas, for example, that faith is not a work because faith is a gift of God, or because faith is non-voluntary, or because faith is not a condition of justification, or because faith does not merit justification, or because faith is union with Christ. The problem with many of these Protestant answers to the question of why faith is not a work is that they can equally well be used to explain why the supernatural virtue of love is not a work. The Reformers, however, strongly associated love with ‘works of the law’, and wanted to keep love out of the doctrine of justification. For Protestants who share this view of love, the present article poses a challenge. Is it possible to dissociate faith from works without at the same time dissociating love from works, thereby legitimising the Tridentine understanding of justification? The author concludes that this is indeed possible, but only if an important identity marker for much Protestant theology is given up, namely the purely forensic understanding of the doctrine of justification.

Abstract:
The aim of this research is to develop a new minimally invasive measurement procedure. With this method implantologist could determine the local mechanical and structural properties of the cellular solids materials (e.g. bones) into which implants are placed. The currently applied methods are based on image measurement procedures (CT, Hounsfield scale etc.). The dentists, with the knowledge of the determined mechanical properties of the bone, can choose the ideal surgical parameters (flap size, diameter of drill, hole-depth, healing time, etc.) and the ideal implant type for the patients. During the development of the measuring procedure, was used bone modeling materials (“bone-like materials”) instead of bone. With these materials it is easier to do tests, than with living tissues. The bone like materials needs to have the same mechanical and structural properties as the given bone. The following bone like materials was used during the measurement: woods (Amaranth, Alnus, Ipe, Iroko, Robinia, Pyrus, Zebrano), and on the market available polyurethane solid foams (Sawbones D1 and D2). Among the literatures are summaries, which include the biomechanical assessments for implant stability. These technics are good to determine the implant stability in different bones and bone like materials after the implantation. In this work torsional test were used. This test is based on the determination of the insertion torque as a function of the implant displacement. Used the insertion torque functions and the screw geometrical parameters, the rotational work was determined. The different materials insertion torque functions have different slope values. The slopes and the rotational work results show which bone like material has similar insertion parameters (insertion torque function, rotational work) as a mandible during the insertion of an implant. With this torsional test and the knowledge of the bone like materials insertion torque functions and the rotational works it is possible to find the best material for the modeling of an implantation. Using this material, medical students can practice and improved the surgical techniques.

Abstract:
Abstract The eutectic microstructures are complex microstructures and a hard work to describe it with few numbers. The eutectics builds up eutectic cells. In the cells the phases are clustered. With the development of big databases the data mining also develops, and produces a lot of method to handling the large datasets, and earns information from the sets. One typical method is the clustering, which finds the groups in the datasets. In this article a partitioning and a hierarchical clustering is applied to eutectic structures to find the clusters. In the case of AlMn alloy the K-means algorithm work well, and find the eutectic cells. In the case of ductile cast iron the hierarchical clustering works better. With the combination of the partitioning and hierarchical clustering with the image transformation, an effective method is developed for clustering the objects in the microstructures.
