In Mineral resource economics, a large amount of data stored in Excel files usually need to be shown in various charts for analyzing. Excel VBA provides a fast and easy way to create charts. This paper illustrates how to create batched combination charts of several mineral resources and their annual increments based on Excel VBA. Every step of creating process is illustrated in details and the Excel VBA codes are analyzed carefully. And the resulting combination charts are displayed to emphasize the different chart types and to prove the effectiveness of Excel VBA.

Az Excel táblázatkezelő programmal olyan számolótáblákat tudunk kialakítani, melyeket többször is használhatunk. Egy-egy adat megváltozásakor automatikusan újraszámítódik a teljes tábla. Az adatok megváltoztatását programozott módon is elvégezhetjük a Visual Basic for Application (VBA) szolgáltatás segítségével. Összetett számítások esetén célszerű arra törekedni, hogy a kialakított számolótábla egyszerűen tegye lehetővé a paraméterek értékétől függő eredmények képzését.Jelen publikáció a páros t-próba automatizált végrehajtása kialakításának egy lehetséges módját tárgyalja. Statisztikai programok nem teszik lehetővé a programozással automatizált kiértékeléseket, ezért az Excel VBA alkalmazása jelentősen felgyorsítja az ismételten elvégzendő számítások előkészítését és végrehajtását. A cikkben bemutatom egy könnyen és kényelmesen használható kezelőfelület elkészítését, valamint a hozzá tartozó VBA programokat.

Abstract:
This research is motivated by the low ability to understand mathematical concepts possessed by prospective elementary school teacher students. This study aims to see the achievement and improvement of students' mathematical understanding abilities that use Microsoft Excel-based VBA teaching materials with those using conventional learning. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group design. This study's population were all second-semester elementary school teacher candidates in one private university in West Java, Indonesia. The sample in this study was 70 prospective 2nd-grade elementary school teacher candidates. The instrument used in this study was a test of understanding mathematical concepts. The results showed: 1) learning using VBA Microsoft Excel as a teaching material was able to improve students' ability to understand mathematical concepts; 2) learning using Microsoft Excel VBA as teaching material is better than conventional learning; and 3) students can be enthusiastic, active and motivated in learning mathematics with VBA Microsoft Excel.

Az Excel számolótáblák egyszerűen használható lehetőséget biztosítanak számítások elvégzésére, s mindezt úgy, hogy adatváltozás esetén automatikus újraszámítás történik. Ezt kihasználva elegendő csak egyszer kialakítani a számolótáblát, melyet így újból felhasználhatunk más bemenő adatok esetén. A Visual Basic for Application (VBA) szolgáltatással minimális programozói ismeret birtokában a bemenő adatok cseréjét programozottan is elvégezhetjük. Egymintás t-próba többszöri végrehajtását automatizálni tudjuk. Statisztikai számításokat biztosító programok használata során az újabb kiértékeléseket csak manuálisan tudjuk kezdeményezni. Nagy előnyt biztosít számunkra az Excel VBA ismétlődő kiértékelések során. Bemutatásra kerül a számítások automatizált elvégzéséhez szükséges felhasználóbarát kezelőfelület kialakítása ez Excel táblázatkezelő program segítségével.

The purpose of this study was to describe the learning motivation of Albarokah 448 Elementary School students using ICT based media for excel VBA on the number line material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were conducted on 35 students of Albarokah Elementary School 448 Bandung class VI. The instruments provided were questionnaires on the student learning motivation scale consisting of 20 statements and 4 answer choices, namely 1. Strongly Agree (SS), 2. Agree (S), 3. Disagree (TS), 4. Very Disagree (STS. The learning motivation questionnaire related to ICT-based VBA excel media consists of 4 indicators.The results of the study show that the learning motivation of students at Albarokah Elementary School 448 Bandung using ICT-based media for VBA excel on the number line material as a whole is very good and there are 3 indicators that enter the criteria are very good, for indicators of confidence in using mathematics (very good), flexible indicators in doing mathematical work (very good), voluntary indicators leaving other obligations or tasks, (very good). in working on mathematics (good), and can be seen the average overall percentage of all students included in the very criteria well.

 Abstrak
 Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa SD Albarokah 448 Bandun dengan menggunakan media ICT berbasis for VBA excel pada materi garis bilangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu pada 35 siswa SD Albarokah 448 Bandung kelas VI. Instrumen yang diberikan berupa angket skala motivasi belajar siswa yang terdiri dari 20 pernyataan dan 4 pilihan jawaban yaitu 1.Sangat Setuju(SS), 2.Setuju(S), 3.Tidak Setuju (TS), 4.Sangat Tidak Setuju(STS. Angket motivasi belajar yang berhubungan dengan media ICT berbasis VBA excel terdiri dari 4 indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa SD Albarokah 448 Bandung dengan menggunakan media ICT berbasis for VBA excel pada materi garis bilangan secara keseluruhan tergolong sangat baik dan terdapat 3 indikator yang masuk kriteria baik sekali yaitu untuk indikator Percaya diri dalam menggunakan matematika(sanga baik), indikator Flekibel dalam melakukan kerja matematika (sangat baik); indikator Kerelaan meninggalkan kewajiban atau tugas lain,(sangat baik ). Terdapat 1 indikator yang masuk kriteria baik yaitu indikator Ketekunan dalam mengerjakan matematika(baik). Dan dapat dilihat rata-rata persentase keseluruhan semua siswa termasuk kedalam kriteria sangat baik.

Abstract. This research is a descriptive qualitative that aims to find the practicalities of media and workshops on making integer game media using Visual Basic Application (VBA) for Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Observation of the 3 participants showed that the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint before the workshop which did not lead to the creation of game media for learning. After the workshop on making learning media for integer operations, 73.63% of teachers or prospective teachers stated the practicality of the media and was feasible to use compared to before which only 15.78% of teachers used Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for administrative purposes only. The workshop that was held was also stated to be practically implemented in various levels of schools with a practical rating of 77.89% which was a practical criterion compared than before. Keywords. Penelitian pada Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepraktisan media dan workshop pembuatan media permainan bilangan bulat dengan menggunakan Visual Basic Application (VBA) for Microsoft Excel dan Microsoft Powerpoint. Observasi terhadap 3 orang peserta memperlihatkan penggunaan Microsoft Excel dan Powerpoint sebelum workshop yang tidak mengarah pada pembuatan media permainan unruk pembelajaran. Setelah workshop pembuatan media pembelajaran operasi bilangan bulat , 73,63% guru atau calon guru menyatakan kepraktisan media dan layak digunakan dibandingkan sebelumnya yang hanya 15,78% guru memanfaatkan Microsoft Excel dan Powerpoint pada keperluan administrasi saja. Workshop yang dilaksanakan juga dinyatakan praktis diimplementasikan di sekolah dengan berbagai jenjang dengan penilaian kepraktisan sebesar 77,89% yang merupakan kriteria praktis dibandingkan dengan sebelumnya. The availability of VBA, math and image functions in Microsoft Excel help teachers to design the creation of media related to mathematics learning, especially to develop the ability of junior high school students who have difficulty to connect mathematics lessons with basic mathematics knowledge requirements. By using VBA for Excel, the ability of junior high school students to improve in the usual way significantly with a t-test with 0.006 <0.05. Furthermore, there is an association between the students’ self-confidence and their mathematical comprehension skills with a contingency coefficient of 0.525 including a moderate association.

Abstract:
The background of this research is based on diversity of Indonesia in terms of social, cultural, religious, language and ethnic groups. The specific problem in this research lies on the diversity of students in one public elementary school in Cimahi City, situated in the area of the Indonesian Army. Therefore, this research seeks to investigate the difference in improvement of students’ cross cultural skills between learning using VBA (Visual Basic of Application)-based Monopoly game teaching materials in Microsoft Excel and conventional learning. This research aims at improving students’ cross cultural skills, and observing the differences or disconnection of the improvement of students’ cultural skills between learning using VBA-based teaching materials and conventional learning. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. A quantitative observation instrument in the form of a checklist was used as the research instrument. The results revealed that both learning using a teaching material of VBA-based Monopoly in Microsoft Excel and conventional learning were able to improve the students’ cross cultural skills. However, based on the result of N-Gain test, learning using teaching material of VBA-based Monopoly game in Microsoft Excel was better than conventional learning.

Pakar yaitu validator yang merupakan dosenPendidikan Fisika Universitas Riau, sedangkan pengguna yaitu validator dari guru SMA yang berada diPekanbaru. Skor validasi yang didapat untuk aspek perancangan dari pakar dan pengguna 3.62. Skorvalidasi pada aspek isi pembelajaran dari pakar dan pengguna 3.60, dan skor validasi yang didapat padaaspek pedagogik dari pakar dan pengguna adalah 3.73. Hasil analisis skor validasi media pembelajaranvisualisasi gelombang berbasis VBA pada microsoft excel berada pada kategori ST (sangat tinggi) untuksemua aspek yang dinilai. Dengan demikian media ini dapat dikatakan valid dan layak digunakan sebagaimedia pembelajaran fisika yang valid pada materi gelombang untuk siswa SMA kelas XI.

In the standard target system of specialty accreditation, assessed results of teaching process are required to reflect students level of mastering related knowledge. Examination score is the most direct and important reflection. In this paper, VBA programming was applied to generate score sheet of main curriculums in recent years which is required in self-assessment report for specialty accreditation. Firstly, original data were obtained from information management system of teaching affairs. They are teaching task files and class score sheet, which are all Excel files. Secondly, original data were handled by VBA according to requirement. Compulsory courses for civil engineering class and scores for first exams were selected. Thirdly, average scores and first passing rates were calculated. At last, a summary score sheet was produced which is helpful to analyze students learning effect and to find out reasons. Therefore, the efficiency of analyzing teaching results for specialty accreditation is greatly improved.

This research concerns about the design and implementation of a new information system which will simplify the processes of the current system and its impact on the warehouse staffs. In order to automate the processes, a programmed information system is designed using Microsoft excel VBA, a basic programming function inside Microsoft excel. First, the current system is analyzed. Next, the user requirements and proposed system requirements are analyzed to make the system design. Then, the program is developed and tested by using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Then, the new system is implemented and the implementation results are analyzed. The results found that the new system successfully fulfilled the objectives of this research and the user requirements, although there are still some improvements which need to be done. During two months’ period of implementation, there are some problems encountered which required the programmer to improve the system. Like every system, there are some advantages and disadvantages found in this new system.AbstrakPenelitian ini fokus kepada desain dan implementasi sistem informasi baru yang akan mengotomatisasi proses dari sistem saat ini dan dampaknya terhadap staf gudang. Dalam rangka untuk mengotomatisasi proses, sistem informasi yang terprogram dirancang menggunakan Microsoft excel VBA,sebuah fungsi dasar pemrograman dalam Microsoft excel. Pertama, sistem yang sekarang dianalisis. Selanjutnya, kebutuhan pengguna dan kebutuhan sistem yang diusulkan dianalisis untuk membuat desain sistem. Kemudian, program ini dikembangkan dan diuji dengan menggunakan VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Kemudian, sistem baru diimplementasikan dan hasil dari implementasi dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa sistem baru berhasil memenuhi tujuan penelitian ini dan kebutuhan pengguna, meskipun masih ada beberapa perbaikan yang perlu dilakukan. Selama periode dua bulan implementasi, ada beberapa masalah yang dihadapi yang membutuhkan programmer untuk mengembangkan sistemnya. Seperti setiap sistem, ada beberapa kelebihan dan kekurangan yang ditemukan dalam sistem baru ini.

The author gives the presentation of the content and structural components of an electronic textbook using Excel and the programming language Visual Basic for Applications using an example of a textbook fragment. The methods of presenting theoretical material, modeling with a visual demonstration, automatic verification of the results of assignments, automatic visual display of the results of mastering the topic using the built-in Excel functions are described in detail. The codes of programs for automatic presentation of individual tasks, automatic data modeling based on built-in Excel functions and building a scatter chart with smooth curves are given. The research methodology is based on testing the capabilities of MS Excel and the built-in programming language Visual Basic for Applications to solve the tasks. In contrast to the tools available today for creating electronic educational resources, such a textbook is easily modifiable, allows you to change the scripts of the educational process, in addition to test tasks, present students with sets of individual tasks, and adapt tasks to the level of students. In addition, it is an effective didactic tool for simultaneously mastering the Excel spreadsheet processor and discipline that requires modeling or performing complex calculations and routine operations.

Há dois principais tipos de penetrômetro, o estático e o dinâmico. No primeiro, uma haste com uma ponta cônica é introduzida contínua e lentamente (quase estático), registrando-se concomitantemente a força de reação que é igual à resistência do solo. No segundo, utiliza-se a mesma haste. Contudo, esta é introduzida por meio da promoção de uma massa de impacto em queda livre. Dessa forma, a teoria pode ser tratada pela dinâmica newtoniana para obtenção da resistência. O objetivo do programa é proporcionar uma ferramenta rápida, facilitadora da computação de dados de resistência do solo, para esse último penetrômetro, resultando tabelas e gráficos já no formato científico. Desenvolvido em linguagem de programação Visual Basic Aplication (VBA), escolheu-se o aplicativo Excel como interface com o usuário pela sua popularidade. É constituído por quatro planilhas, duasauxiliares, sendo duas delas essenciais, Plan1 e 2: Plan1 - dados de entrada (número de impactos e profundidade). Concomitante à digitação, a tabela de resistência é confeccionada com o respectivo gráfico, podendo tabelar 40 perfis. Plan2 - cumpre função especial de equalizar, ou seja, padronizar a profundidade em camadas constantes, permitindo unificar todos os perfis em uma única tabela. Para tal, escolhe-se uma espessura de camada (exemplo: 5 cm); em seguida, o programa coleta os dados de resistência (MPa) da Plan1 e interpola os valores para a profundidade de 5 em 5 cm. Após realizar esse procedimento para todas as tabelas da Plan1, o programa gera, na Plan2, uma única tabela com todos os perfis, a média geral e os respectivos gráficos. É possível selecionar os perfis; por exemplo, apenas os medidos na linha ou entrelinha de plantio e eliminar perfis a critério do usuário. Como objetivo complementar, descreve-se a evolução do projeto "Penetrômetro de impacto", iniciado em 1982, cuja técnica passou a ser adotada no meio científico, após a publicação da teoria nesta revista em 1991. Apresenta-se também levantamento no meio científico nos últimos três anos (2010-2012), propiciando uma visão das principais aplicações na atualidade.
