In the broadest sense this paper exhibits an existentialist impulse in Byron's poetry. More particularly, I examine four of Byron's major works to analyze the similar ways in which his characters become alert to their being through the emotion of despair, and as a result I contend that Byron can be read anticipating the existentialist aim to explore being in terms of angst. The purpose of this essay is to analyse Søren Kierkegaard’s “Fear and Trembling”, Karl Jaspers “Philosophy of Existence” and Paul Tillichs “Systematic Theology part 2” on their stand on Christian existentialism. The method used in the analysis is Hermeneutic, which is a must, when reading and understanding these three philosophical works. Film exhibits an existential time structure. It presents characters and events in the present moment and as the film progresses the future of the characters is built from their past within the film.
