Abstract:
In this review, we present and discuss all the experimental information about the charged exotic charmonium states, which have been observed over the last five years. We try to understand their properties such as masses and decay widths with QCD sum rules. We describe this method, show the results and compare them with the experimental data and with other theoretical approaches.

Abstract:
Thesis (Ph. D.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Physics, 2008.
Includes bibliographical references (p. 91-95).
This work explores the problem of distinguishing potentially interesting new exotic states in QCD from conventional scattering states using lattice QCD, and addresses the specific case of the search for localized resonances in a system of five quarks. We employ a complete basis of local interpolating operators, as well as a number of spatially distributed operators, to search for localized resonances in the system of five quarks. Abstract:
Electronic states in band insulators and semimetals can form nontrivial topological structures which can be classified by introducing a set of well defined topological invariants. There are interesting experimentally observable phenomena tied to these topological invariants which are robust as long as the invariants remain well-defined. One important class manifesting these topological phenomena in the bulk and at the edges is the time reversal invariant topological band insulators first discovered in HgTe in 2007. Since then, there have been enormous efforts from both the experimental and the

Belly dance classes have become increasingly popular in recent decades in the United States. Many of the predominantly white, middle-class American women who belly dance proclaim that it is a source of feminist identity and empowerment that brings deeper meaning to their lives. American practitioners of this art form commonly explain that it originated from ritual-based dances of ancient Middle Eastern cultures and regard their participation as a link in a continuous lineage of female dancers. Abstract:
Motivated by the recent discoveries of exotic and possible crypto-exotic states, presented in this thesis is an inclusive search for the production of a crypto-exotic baryon state called R(3520) with hidden charm in e+e− interactions at a centre of mass energy of 10.58 GeV in the data collected at the energy Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector using a data set of 228 fb−1. Hints about the existence of the R(3520) state were reported in an analysis of data from a 2m hydrogen bubble chamber experiment at CERN.
