This dissertation examines the process by which buyers encode and store price information in their memories and how the information is retrieved when such a need arises. Using theories in human learning and memory, it has been argued that buyers’ learning of price information is primarily influenced by their learning plans and the criteria they use pin choice decisions. CAPES<br>Neste trabalho são apresentados os resultados numéricos e experimentais de refratômetros baseados em redes de Bragg produzidos em fibras óticas multimodo. O desempenho dessas redes é comparado com o desempenho de redes tradicionais gravadas em fibras óticas monomodo. Para que as redes apresentem sensibilidade ao índice de refração elas são submetidas à corrosão química e após esse processo a fibra ótica monomodo apresentou um diâmetro de (18,08 ± 0,01) m, enquanto que a fibra ótica multimodo apresentou um diâmetro de (17,10 ± 0,10) m. The present study evaluated instructions in graphic and expressive writing tasks as stress and emotion regulation activity aids. Six experimental groups were composed of thirty university students. Effects were measured with the Mexican versions of the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) and the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). Hurricane Hugo struck the coast of South Carolina on September 21, 1989 as a category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Scale. Landsat Thematic mapper was utilized to determine the extent of damage experienced at the Santee Experimental Forest (SEF) (a part of Francis Marion National Forest) in South Carolina. Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and the change detection techniques were used to determine initial forest damage and to monitor the recovery over a 22-year period following Hurricane Hugo. This thesis considers the problem of calculating and observing the mixing of modes of positive and negative frequency in inhomogeneous, dispersive media. Scattering of vacuum modes of the electromagnetic field at a moving interface in the refractive index of a dielectric medium is discussed.
