Abstract:
The present study is dedicated to the contemporary research of the experimental literature, which was recognized as outstanding phenomena and as the form of artistic transgression during last time. The reason for reflection on this topic was the publication of the author’s monograph by Oksana Kovatska Experimental Sails of Ukrainian Prose of the 1920s (Kyiv 2020). The researcher appreciates the element of experiment in the Ukrainian post-revolutionary literature, and highly appreciates the innovative search of the young generation of contemporary writers. In particular, she focuses on three figures of literary experimentation, considering them in the context of the works of Viktor Petrov (Domontovych), Arkadii Liubchenko and Mike Johansen. Oksana Kovatska’s monograph is published as a pioneering work in the dimension of the problem presented here.

Abstract:
Multimodal metaphor studies has hitherto neglected one key arena in the creative arts: literature. This article explores four case studies of multimodal metaphor within contemporary experimental literature. In poetry, the metaphor EMOTIONS ARE OBJECTS is discussed within Anne Carson’s (2009) accordion ‘poem in a box’, in which the poet struggles with the death of her brother; in literature, Steve Tomasula and Stephen Farrell’s (1996) fold-out fiction TOC and Mark Z. Danielewski’s (2006) novel Only Revolutions, both thematically interested in time and designed to be rotated in reading, are explored to reveal the metaphor TIME IS CIRCULAR MOTION; and in the graphic novel, analysis of Warren Ellis’ (2011) “SVK”, for which readers use a torch to reveal characters’ thoughts printed in UV ink, exposes the metaphor KNOWLEDGE IS LIGHT. Throughout, it is shown that multimodal metaphors are generated through both the interaction of verbal and visual modes, and through a reader-user’s performative engagement with the text. Moreover, early theorisations of multimodal metaphor in which the two domains (source and target) were required to stem from different modalities, are called into question. Rather, the creative affordances of multimodal literature show such metaphors to be more integrative in nature, both cognitively and semantically.

Abstract:
Introduction. Long-term vibration exposure to the human body is a risk factor for the development of occupational diseases and comorbid conditions causing, first of all, the pathology of the nervous system, as well as the cardiovascular, gastrointestinal tract and musculoskeletal systems. Pathogenetic aspects of vibration exposure at the molecular level remain open and require the search for adequate experimental animal models. The review describes experimental methods for studying vibration disease. A literature search was conducted in the databases MedLine, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar, CyberLeninka and RSCI. The results of experimental studies differ due to the difference in frequencies and duration of vibration exposure. Sanitary and hygienic characteristics of workplaces of coal-mining enterprises in Kuzbass. Data are given at the levels of local and whole-body vibration at the workplaces of an underground sinker, a stope miner, and a mining machine operator. Experimental modelling of local and whole-body vibration. Experimental methods of vibration exposure to laboratory rats, mice and rabbits at the local and whole-body levels are described. The presented experimental models are as close as possible to real vibration effects in production conditions. Vibration at frequencies above 4 Hz has been shown to cause changes in the structure and functions of peripheral vessels and nerves, along with hypoxic damage of the brain, heart, kidneys, liver, and skeletal muscles. Conclusion. Experimental modelling of vibration disease makes it possible to study the organ-specific molecular mechanisms of damaging vibration exposure to the body and develop effective preventive and therapeutic measures.

Abstract:
Adhesive disease of the abdominal cavity is a common medical problem that impairs the patients’ life quality. Adhesive intestinal obstruction ranks first in the structure of acute bowel obstruction. The levels of complications and postoperative mortality are not likely to decrease. Consequently, the studies on preventing adhesive disease are still in progress, which requires an animal model to induce abdominal adhesive process. Numerous factors of peritoneum injury result in adhesion formation. Experimental surgery offers various techniques of inducing the adhesive process in the abdominal cavity based on mechanical, chemical, biological, implantation injury factors. Recent trends in intra-abdominal adhesion stimulation are designed to approximate at maximum an animal model and present surgical and gynecologic procedures. In the review article, we survey and systematize different ways of inducing intra-abdominal adhesive process with various injury factors. The choice of study animal, the ways of peritoneum injury, followed by septic or aseptic inflammation are analyzed. The rating scales for the severity of adhesive process are also organized and compared. The number of existing models is large which is evident of the outstanding problem and promising outlook of scientific research.

Abstract:
In everyday economic life, the endowment effect is a very frequent occurrence. It describes the phenomena wherein a person values a possession more highly when they own it than when they do not. At present, the psychological mechanism of this phenomenon is mainly explained by loss aversion, but this theory has great defects. A theoretical area of behavioral finance is endowment effect. In order to analyze the psychological traits of financial market subjects (decision-makers) in financial market behavior and to study investor decision-making behavior and its effects on asset pricing, the field of behavioral finance is founded on theories of behavior, finance, sociology, economics, decision-making, and psychology. It questions conventional economics. The endowment effect contradicts the rational person hypothesis of conventional economics and accurately represents the research techniques of behavioral finance. Future research can combine psychology and economics to further explore the psychological mechanism of this phenomenon. Combined with the influence of endowment on Coase theorem, explore the practical significance of endowment effect.

Abstract:
In the present study, the author deals with the literary-historical and poetological circumstances of the notion of experimental poetry, noting this type of writing mainly in Slovak and Czech literature but against the broader background of Polish and Hungarian literature, i.e., in the Central European context. In particular, the author reflects on the communicability of texts constructed in this way. He chooses the 1960s as the initial period of his observations, but he also notes the experimental tendencies in poetry that preceded the 1960s, and at the same time, he moves from the 1960s to the 1990s and the developments in (Slovak) literature after the year 2000. From Slovak literature in the 1960s, he pays particular attention to the experimental work of M. Adamčiak, and from the most recent Slovak literature, he reflects on the work of P. Macsovszky and K. Zbruž. From a developmental point of view, the author focuses primarily on the significant influence of Czech literature on Slovak literature in the 1960s – especially the influence of the texts of L. Novák and V. Havel. The author also creatively builds on the metatexts of some literary scholars or creatively polemicises with their findings or further conjectures them (K. Ihringová, V. Křivánek, J. Šrank, M. Součková and others).

Abstract:
MetS is a significant public health concern due to its association with severe health outcomes. Early identification and comprehensive management of MetS components are crucial in reducing the global burden of this syndrome. Further research is needed to refine diagnostic criteria, understand the underlying mechanisms, and develop more effective prevention and treatment strategies. The metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a group of illnesses that together better predict a person's risk of cardiovascular disease than any one of the illnesses alone. Human MetS risk is influenced by a combination of environmental and genetic variables. As MetS is a complex disorder with a startlingly high incidence rate these days, developing suitable experimental animal models that closely resemble the illness state in people is essential to resolving the challenges associated with assessing the pathophysiology of MetS in humans. The objective of this study is to provide an overview of the pathophysiology of dietary, genetic, and pharmaceutical models of metabolic syndrome. We will also go over the applicability, advantages, and disadvantages of various animal models. Despite the establishment of many animal models of MetS, more research on.

Abstract:
Contemporary turbochargers are high-speed rotating devices, commonly supported by full floating bearings or semi-floating bearings. Depending on the size and operational speed of the turbocharger, rotordynamics significantly changes. Industrial turbochargers are operating below 20.000 RPM and their rotor weight is substantial, leading to quasilinear rotordynamics behaviour. By contrast, automotive turbochargers are rotating up to 300.000 RPM with non-linear rotordynamics characteristics. Due to this non-linearity, rotor movement is intense, and bearing load is dynamically changing all the time. The consequence is reduced lifespan of the turbocharger. In this paper, the effect of changing bearing clearances, as well as the differences between semi-floating and full floating bearing constructions will be described based on journal papers scientific publications on the topic. Also, the damping and whirling phenomenon inside a bearing system will be investigated and presented in a comprehensive literature research on automotive turbocharger rotordynamics.

Abstract:
The aim of the work is to review the professional literature sources from the scientific database PubMed mainly for the last 20 years analyzing the modern view on approaches to experimental modeling of cognitive impairment. Materials and methods. A review of the scientific literature over the past 20 years was performed. The lack of requisite knowledge about the pathogenesis of cognitive impairment and the wide range of risk factors for these conditions continue to be major challenges in the development of guidelines on early diagnosis and treatment. The literary analysis suggests that all modeling approaches to experimental cognitive impairment are currently divided into two groups: cell culture and animal models. Conclusions. Experimental modeling of cognitive impairment remains important in addition to clinical and population-based studies. In recent years, the problem of selecting an adequate model to study cognitive impairment, which is a central clinical manifestation of various neurological diseases (Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, traumatic brain injury, vascular, demyelinating, and infectious diseases, metabolic aberrations and hormonal imbalance, neurodegenerative diseases of the central nervous system) is becoming increasingly relevant. The choice of model and experimental material – animals or cultures (invertebrate and mammalian cells) is based on a clear understanding of the study design and depends on the ultimate goal of research.
