Abstract:
Exports are economic activities that can increase growth. However, during the ten years from 2018, the Indonesian economy to ASEAN experienced a growing deficit. The same thing happened in Indonesia's exports in total. The slowdown could occur due to a decrease in export volume and price decline. Therefore, this condition becomes a challenge for Indonesia's foreign trade. The problem becomes more severe for SMEs. Thus, efforts or strategies are needed to increase Indonesia's exports to ASEAN and the world. This paper is a simple study of the challenges and strategies of Indonesia's exports. Abstract:
The article is devoted to the issues of the Russian Federation export transformation the in the context of global challenges. The article solves the problem of finding ways to transform Russia›s exports and discloses the concept of export transformation, by which the authors understand a gradual change in the dominant structure and/or channels and/or export methods. The hypothesis was tested that Russia, as an export-oriented state, can maintain its export structure by reorienting it to other segments of the world market, using new methods of exchange. Based on the analysis carried out in the article, it was concluded that at present the most relevant for the Russian economy is the exports transformation through diversification, as access to new markets, and a change in the forms and methods of payment for exports.

Abstract:
India, the world's largest banana producer, accounts for approximately 25% of global banana production, yet its share in the global export market remains minimal at only 1%. Despite producing 35.36 million metric tons annually, India’s banana export value was only USD 176 million in 2023–2024. The major export destinations for Indian bananas include the Middle East, Southeast Asia, East Africa, and the UK, with an upward growth trend in exports, particularly to new markets such as Russia. However, challenges such as post-harvest handling, transportation, storage, and trade restrictions hinder the growth potential of Indian banana exports. Quality issues, such as black spots, bruising, and chemical residue, further complicate the process. In contrast, the global banana trade is valued at over USD 4.5 billion, and with emerging markets in China, Russia, and Eastern Europe, Indian exporters have substantial opportunities to increase their market share. With a focus on enhancing export procedures, improving packaging, and addressing quality control, India has the potential to significantly boost its banana exports in the coming years. Abstract:
Ukraine is one of the world's largest exporters of agricultural products, holding leading positions in the supply of grain, oilseeds, and livestock products. The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in the country's economy by ensuring employment, foreign exchange earnings, and food security. However, recent years have brought significant challenges, including war, disruptions in logistics, and global market instability, which have affected production and export capabilities. Despite these difficulties, Ukrainian agricultural exports remain a stable component of the economy, adapting to new geopolitical and economic realities. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the current state of Ukraine's agricultural exports, identify key trends, examine challenges facing the sector in the context of geopolitical instability, and determine prospects for future development. Recent years have shown fluctuations in Ukraine’s agricultural exports due to both internal economic factors and global challenges. While 2021 witnessed an increase in export volumes due to strong global demand, 2022 saw a sharp decline due to war-related disruptions, including port blockades and infrastructure damage. The recovery process began in 2023, facilitated by the establishment of alternative logistics routes via Danube ports, railway connections to the EU, and new trade agreements. Key export categories include grains (wheat, corn, barley), oilseeds (sunflower oil, soybeans, rapeseed), and livestock products. The European Union has become Ukraine's primary export market, followed by Asia and Africa. However, there remains a need for further market diversification, investments in domestic processing, and improvements in logistics infrastructure to ensure stable and competitive exports. Despite ongoing challenges, Ukraine continues to be a key player in global agricultural exports. The sector's future development will depend on diversifying export markets, increasing value-added production, optimizing logistics routes, and enhancing state support for agricultural enterprises. These strategic measures will help stabilize exports and strengthen Ukraine’s position in the international food supply system.

Abstract:
The aim of the article is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of Ukraine’s export potential in the context of geopolitical challenges and to develop recommendations for its enhancement. The study is based on the analysis of official statistical data regarding the volumes, commodity, regional, and geographical structure of exports for the years 2021 and 2024, the use of comparative analysis methods and scientific synthesis, and the application of PEST analysis methodology for surveying the key factors affecting Ukraine’s export potential amid geopolitical challenges. The results of the study found a significant reduction in export volumes and transformations in the commodity and geographical structures during the Russian full-scale invasion, leading to the conclusion of a forced simplification of the export structure and increased dependence on the agro-industrial complex. A geographical reorientation of exports towards the EU market has been determined, which has altered the country’s foreign trade relationships. The factors affecting export trends have been outlined, among which the war in Ukraine is crucial one, having a destructive influence on production, logistics, energy, human capital, etc. Along with this, the positive role of deepening European integration, international support, and the internal adaptability of Ukrainian business and society has been highlighted. Recommendations have been proposed for enhancing export potential through the development of logistics adapted to the challenges of the war; encouraging deep processing in the agricultural sector; implementing differentiated approaches to export development at the regional level, which would take into account varying degrees of impact from the war; balancing market diversification and institutional improvements in the context of forming a foundation for an adaptive export strategy suitable for wartime conditions. It is substantiated that the realization of export potential in the current conditions requires a focus on sustainability and the use of new opportunities. A promising direction for further research is the assessment of the efficiency of specific export support policies in the context of the war and modeling various scenarios for the post-war restoration of Ukraine’s export potential. It is also important to continue monitoring the efficiency of the proposed measures in the dynamics.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the structure and dynamics of Ukraine's commodity exports in 2022 in monetary and weight terms by product groups and items. Exports fell in 19 out of 20 analyzed commodity groups. The structure of commodity exports of Ukraine in 2022 remained conditionally stable. Thus, the largest shares in the structure of commodity exports by commodity groups in 2021 and 2022 accounted for groups II. products of plant origin; III. 15 fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin; XV. low-value metals and products from them. The largest shares in the structure of Ukrainian exports in terms of product positions in 2022 and 2021 accounted for corn, wheat sunflower, safflower or cottonseed oil, and iron ores and concentrates. The article reveals that the dynamics and structure of exports by commodity items in monetary terms differ significantly from similar indicators in weight terms. This is explained by a significant difference between the cost of exporting raw materials and products of their processing. The export value of products of the iron ore and concentrates commodity item was 15.1 times lower than the export value of products of the pipes, tubes, and hollow, seamless profiles of ferrous metals commodity item in 2022 and 8.6 times in 2021. The author summarizes that the level of decline in Ukraine’s commodity exports in 2022 can be considered an economic achievement, taking into account the catastrophic challenges that the Ukrainian nation is struggling with, as well as in comparison with export trends in 2009 and 2014-2016. This was achieved thanks to the multifaceted, diplomatic, and organizational cooperation of the state and business, the work of the grain corridor, and the liberalization of trade with the EU. At the same time, it is worth emphasizing that the export of raw materials from a statist position constitutes the loss of potential economic benefits that could be obtained by processing these raw materials in the country.

Aim. The presented study aims to form an objective idea of factors affecting the system of support for non-resource exports and ensuring the validity of decisions.Tasks. The authors summarize the main ways of supporting non-resource exports of developed and developing countries; analyze changes in the international regulation of export activities associated with the formation of national support systems for commodity producers; systematize major opportunities for supporting export credits.Methods. This study analyzes the practices of export credit agencies in various countries in the context of opportunities provided to foreign trade participants; identifies problem areas typical for the current stage of development of trade relations; draws attention to emerging contradictions in the field of support for national non-resources exports by countries.Results. It is shown that the participants of the Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits (OECD) operate in an extremely aggressive, yet increasingly unmanageable environment. To secure export contracts, both the domestic industry and the export credit agencies of the OECD member countries should enhance competitiveness by following the rules of the trading system. Otherwise, they risk upsetting the balance on the playing field and hinder sustainable development.Conclusions. The participants of the OECD Arrangement face a difficult tactical choice: either to take a strong position in support of competition both within the country and within international organizations (WTO, OECD), or to develop their own export credit programs that are not related to the OECD Arrangement. The first option, although preferable in terms of ensuring economic efficiency, long-term competitiveness, and sustainable development, may lead to a reduced role of export credit agencies.

While export diversification has been central to many policy dialogues in Bangladesh, little effort has been made to investigate international competitiveness of major export sectors using longitudinal data. This paper contributes to the export diversification literature by measuring and comparing international export competitiveness of five major export sectors in Bangladesh employing data from 1980 to 2013. The expansion of readymade garments export from Bangladesh has been phenomenal. Exports of fish and seafood also increased slowly. The exports of other three sectors, however, declined. While three of the five sectors considered in this study enjoyed international competitiveness, the export competitiveness of only two sectors increased over time. These results underscore export diversification challenges faced by Bangladesh and possible pathways.

Abstract:
Abstract Indonesia is the second-largest pepper (Piper Nigrum L) producer country after Vietnam and followed by India, Brazil, and Malaysia. While Vietnam is the largest black pepper producer, Indonesia is recognized as the largest white pepper-producing country. With the increasing market competition among them in the international market, Indonesia has to increase the market competitiveness of its pepper exports against its competitors. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian pepper exports in the international market by using secondary data from various sources, including from the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture and the International Pepper Community for the year 2018. It focuses on Pepper beans (HS 0900411) and Pepper Powder (HS090412) and uses two methods, namely Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Export Products Dynamic (EPD). The RCA analysis shows that Indonesia has a comparative advantage as a pepper exporter on the international market, both for pepper beans and powder. However, the results of the EPD analysis revealed that such an advantage is declining. For example, the study revealed that the export of pepper beans from Indonesia to the United Stated is in the lost opportunity position, and to Vietnam and Singapore are in the falling star position. A similar situation occurs for pepper powder where Indonesia’s export to Japan, Netherlands, and Germany are all in the falling star position. Such situations are caused by some challenges Indonesian pepper exports face, including the fulfillment of the good agriculture practices (GAP) in the upstream sector and compliance to international standards.

Abstract:
Abstract India, as one of the world's most rapidly expanding economies, holds a significant position in global trade. With its abundant human resources and a vibrant entrepreneurial culture, the country has immense potential to increase its exports. However, despite these strengths, India's share of global exports is still relatively modest. This research paper delves into the primary obstacles Indian exporters face in the international marketplace, as well as the opportunities available to them. The study aims to illuminate the dynamics of India's export environment and offer a more profound comprehension of its global position. The main goal of this research is to analyse the internal and external factors that impede India's export capabilities and to identify strategic approaches that could boost the global competitiveness of its exporters. Indian exporters frequently face challenges such as insufficient infrastructure, regulatory ambiguity, high compliance costs, and a lack of familiarity with international market trends. They also have to deal with external issues like trade barriers, currency swings, and stringent quality standards set by importing countries. These difficulties are especially acute for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are the foundation of India’s export economy. Conversely, the changing global trade landscape, which sees developed nations diversifying their supply chains, opens up new avenues for Indian exporters. Key sectors poised for growth include agriculture, pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, textiles, and IT services. Government initiatives like "Make in India," "One District One Product (ODOP)," and the Rod TEP scheme are actively fostering export growth and promoting the use of digital platforms, making international outreach more feasible.

Abstract:
Commodity export is one of the most important sources of foreign currency income, the sufficiency of which significantly depends on the socio-economic stability of Ukraine, especially in the face of Russian military aggression. In addition, Ukrainian commodity exports play an important role in the global market of agricultural products, in particular in the markets of Africa and Asia. The purpose of the article is to verify the challenges for Ukrainian commodity exports in the conditions of war and post-war recovery and to justify the scenarios of its further development. The transformations of the dynamics and structure of domestic commodity exports under the influence of full-scale Russian aggression are assessed. Emphasis is placed on the deterioration of the commodity structure of Ukrainian exports in the direction of increasing the share of raw materials in it. The reasons and the range of discrepancies between the value and the physical volume of exports from Ukraine in terms of product groups and individual (most important) goods over a 20-year period (during 2002-2022) are revealed. Challenges and threats to the growth of Ukrainian commodity exports are analytically substantiated, given the country’s raw material orientation, in particular: high dependence on the situation on the global raw materials markets; sale of raw materials (grain, oil, ores, and metals) at low prices; deterioration of foreign trade conditions for Ukraine; a significant component of imports and tolling in exports. Three scenarios of the development of domestic export potential in the war and post-war periods are substantiated. Emphasis is placed on the socio-economic risks from the implementation of an export-oriented development model in Ukraine. Prospects of increasing the export potential in the conditions of the formation of the newest model of national economic development oriented on the expansion of the domestic market, the support of domestic producers, and the strengthening of the state’s participation in stimulating the development of strategic sectors, primarily the defense-industrial complex, machine-building, and the chemical industry, are theoretically justified.

Abstract:
The state of foreign trade in agricultural goods, in particular in Ukraine, is experiencing significant changes under the influence of economic challenges, including global market fluctuations, political conflicts and changes in demand. In 2023, Ukraine’s agricultural sector demonstrated some resilience, despite serious losses due to the war. According to estimates, agricultural exports reach 67.5 million tons, which is 15% more than in 2022, although export trade decreased by 8% to $ 21.9 billion due to falling prices and high logistics costs. Economic challenges, such as the war in Ukraine and global climate change, significantly affect the agricultural sector. In Ukraine, direct losses to the agro-industrial complex are estimated at $ 8.7 billion. This is necessary before the need to adapt export and import strategies. In 2023, Ukraine's agri-food exports reached significant volumes, in particular, grain crops such as corn and wheat remain the main export commodities. Our country's agricultural trade plays a crucial role in foreign trade. The country has major obstacles to the export of agricultural products due to martial law. It is expected that in the era of digitalization, people will be able to search for agricultural products using information technology to ensure quality and safety and quickly buy their favorite agricultural products. The number of exports to neighboring countries has decreased, but the export market is still relatively concentrated. On the contrary, the level of concentration of the import market is still increasing, so domestic agricultural products are in an unstable situation. The article analyzes seasonally adjusted volumes of foreign trade in goods in 2018-2023 (exports and imports), exports and imports of live animals and animal products, exports and imports of fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin, imports and exports of prepared food products, exports and imports of vegetable products. The state of foreign trade in agricultural products in Ukraine has shown the resilience of the sector to economic challenges. Further development depends on adaptation to new conditions and intensification of cooperation with international partners.

Abstract:
Abstract This paper examines the sources of Belarus’s export growth and decomposes export growth into extensive and intensive margins. This study also aims to determine export margins for intermediate and final goods and to determine the price and quantity components of the intensive export margin. In order to achieve the desired objectives, we use two methods for decomposing export growth, the count method and the export shares method. We analyse Belarus's export growth using export data at the HS-6 digit level for the 2004-2014 period. Our results show that Belarus's exports grew mainly due to growth in the price margin during the studied period 2004-2014. However, the extensive margin was important in export growth to some extent. Comparing the growth rate across final and intermediate goods reveals that although the share of final products in Belarus’s exports is not very big (18.9% in 2014), the average annual growth in exports of final products is higher than that of intermediate goods. Our investigation also shows that Belarus produces a wide range of commodities, but the share of the most of these commodities is not large; its exports depend on a restricted range of commodities. Moreover, most of the commodities are exported to Russia and Ukraine. Our results give us reason to assume that finding new markets for their new products is one of the main challenges for developing countries wishing to increase their exports by an extensive margin. This has important implications for how policy makers promote the trade and diversification of exports.

Abstract:
Pharmaceuticals are major sectors in terms of economic growth and public health, but the pharmaceutical exports from Pakistan are happening on account of various challenges. Some of the prime barriers are delays in regulatory approvals, high registration costs, trade barriers, supply chain inefficiencies, and a lesser local availability of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). Moreover, a few local bioequivalence testing facilities and their high costs of international certifications also restrict the global competitiveness of Pakistani pharmaceutical exports. The quantitative research method supporting deductive methodology has been applied in this study. A cross-sectional design comprises collecting data from professionals in the pharmaceutical export sector using self-administered questionnaires. Findings indicating the presence of regulatory inefficiency, financial constraints, and infrastructure inadequacy are holding a very significant impact on the export performance of local manufacturers making it difficult to compete globally. The adoption of international certifications and the establishment of bioequivalence testing facilities with export incentives would also pay much contribution to the establishment of a Pharmaceutical Special Economic Zone (SEZ). All of these have to be in place so that these barriers are lifted from struggling pharmaceutical exporters, giving them latitude to work with less operational hurdles and more compliance with global standards in opening up new market opportunities. This research provides appreciation for stakeholders and policymakers, showing how to strengthen Pakistan against the global pharmaceutical market.

Abstract:
Indonesia has several Arabica coffee varieties that are well known in the domestic and world markets. However, marketing challenges exist for the domestic market and few cooperatives are able to export. Arabica Coffee Kerinci, a cooperative that exports, is an exception; nevertheless, marketing challenges persist for this cooperative too. Our objectives are to examine a case study of a successful cooperative that focuses on the export market and to clarify the challenges remaining for Arabica coffee marketing. Descriptive statistics were employed to capture the complexities of these marketing challenges. Semi-structured interviews using simple random sampling were conducted with the cooperative’s leader and with 51 farmers. We find that the fundamental challenges are quality inconsistency, price fluctuations, lengthy and bureaucratic export administration, absence of bank loans, and lack of government support. We recommend the following key steps: (1) focusing on improvements in producing and maintaining superior quality that meets export standards and provides capital stimulus; and (2) through greater government and industry synergy, encouraging governments to provide support to farmers and cooperatives alike. Further, other Indonesian regions could adopt Arabica coffee for rural development. This study contributes by formulating a better understanding of the major challenges facing producers of agricultural commodities.

Abstract:
"The production and yield of grain crops in Ukraine from 2000 to 2019 was analysed in the article. The comparative analysis of gross harvest and export of grain during these years was carried out and the dependence of exports on gross harvest and its share was determined. The results point out that the export of grain crops has increased over the years under research, which indicates Ukraine’s significant export potential. Thus, leaving for the needs of the country from 16.0 to 36.6 million tons of grain (on average, 25.9 million tons), Ukrainian farmers export an average of 40.7% of the crop. During the period from 2000 to 2019, the gross harvest of grains in the country averaged 48.4 million tons resulting in the annual potential share of exports of at least 22.4 million tons. It was also found that the increase in the share of exports was made possible by a qualitative change in yield, which was due to the changes in crop growing technology. However, with global warming and climate change, new challenges for agricultural producers are emerging. The recommendations were given in order to improve the crop growing technology that will allow to overcome these challenges, further increase yields and Ukraine's export potential. "

Abstract:
Purpose: The principal objectives of the study are to find out the contribution scenario of the leather sector towards the economic development of Bangladesh and to know the background of the leather industry, export performance, item wise contribution, country-wise export trend and contribution in GDP. Methodology: The present study is a descriptive one and based on mainly secondary information. The data was collected from various journals, research articles, thesis papers, newspapers, online news, survey reports, and annual reports and files. In this study, a descriptive technique was adopted in tabular form, column chart, line chart, pie chart, bar chart to analyze the results and represent collected data and information. Findings: The leather sector of Bangladesh is the second-largest export earners after the ready-made garments sector. This sector contributes enormously to the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. The research findings reveal that the export contribution of leather was 8.14% in FY 1990-91, but after that, the contribution of leather sector is decreasing, one of the main reasons is the export trade had been singlehandedly driven by the RMG sector, now its share is almost 2.52% ($1.01billion) of the export earnings. The study shows that the export earnings from leather footwear were 60% growth rate in FY 2018-19 due to riding the trend of increased leather footwear exports in the United States, whereas, the contribution of processed leather and leather products is 24% and 16% respectively. The study also reveals that the leather sector is contributing significantly to the GDP. Leather items are exported from Bangladesh to about 53 countries of the world. The leather sector is also a major employer of semi-skilled or unskilled workers, directly employs around 200,000 people and around 850,000 are connected to the sector indirectly. Limitations: I faced some difficulties for collecting data. Moreover, the study could not deliberate the reflection of statistical tools for analysis of the data. Practical Implications: The export earnings from the leather industry were in good shape before the inception of tannery relocation. But the tanneries are suffering from 2017 as the relocation hit the production of leather processing because some tanneries are not yet in operation. For improving the export performance, the study will be helpful for stakeholders, industry owners, and management, BTA, BFLLGFEA, LFMEAB and buyer’s association. Originality/Value: The study findings clearly showed and explained the comparative position of the export trend among processed leather, leather footwear and leather goods.

Abstract:
Nowadays, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are increasingly being recognized as a vital part of a country’s economy. Albania is a country in transition and after the communist era, has been on a difficult path to overcome many social, political and economic difficulties. The purpose of this paper is to analyze and investigate the SMEs in Albania and the levels of exportation as an important element for the EU integration. This study is mainly of investigative and explorative nature, aiming to conclude which industry sector exports the most and to highlight the main partners (in terms of nations) and also to identify or flag the perceived barriers that Albanian companies classify as impediments to exporting goods. The instrument used was a questionnaire of 50 items and the participants where Albanian organizations (N = 163) from different sectors of the economy. Data were analysed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20. The results indicate that the main three barriers that impede them from exporting are: the lack of planning about exportation, the difficulty of finding new clients in EU and the high levels of the accompanying risk. For 30% of the tradable sector, the difficulty of finding new clients in the European market was considered as one of the most challenging, anyway, it should be noted that only 36% of this sector plans to export in the next 1-3 years. Despite their perception towards barriers, most of the organizations were planning to export in the future.

Abstract:
In recent years, global economic fluctuations have intensified, and Vietnam has increasingly integrated into the international market, highlighting the country’s growing economic integration. In the context of global trade tensions, the COVID-19 pandemic, and shifting international trade policies, Vietnam’s export and import activities have faced both significant challenges and new opportunities, directly impacting its trade balance. This study focuses on analyzing growth in Export-Import Turnover, export market size, and export commodity structure from 2016 to August 2024. The primary objective of this research is to assess the key trends in Vietnam’s trade, evaluate the opportunities and challenges affecting import-export activities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve the effectiveness of these activities in supporting national economic growth. The research methodology combines quantitative analysis of official government data with qualitative insights drawn from policy reports and academic studies. The findings show that Vietnam’s exports, especially in the manufacturing and agricultural sectors, have seen robust growth, while imports have mainly concentrated on raw materials and production equipment. Despite this, Vietnam’s heavy reliance on a limited number of key markets and exposure to global price fluctuations have created economic challenges, influencing its trade balance. The study then presented the advantages, limitations, and solutions for Vietnam’s import-export activities. The conclusion suggests that diversifying export markets and increasing added value in exports are essential to ensure sustainability and stable long-term development, contributing to economic growth. The findings offer valuable insights for both businesses and government agencies, enabling them to make informed decisions and develop effective policies to improve Vietnam’s international trade activities and enhance its economic growth.

Abstract:
Bangladesh has a significant opportunity to boost economic development by increasing its contributions to international trade. Therefore, this study is aimed at presenting the trends of exporting in the early stages of economic development. Bangladesh's foreign trade trends from 2015 to 2019 revealed a positive growth trajectory despite a slight dip in goods imports. The anticipated decline in foreign trade performance in 2020 is reflective of the global challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, the rate of receiving foreign exchange from the integrated foreign export of shrimp, leather, shoes, and pharmaceutical products is constantly increasing. The main exports, encompassing products like clothing, raw jute, leather, fish, and frozen seafood, play a vital role in driving the country's export dynamics. The country has achieved remarkable success in export expansion because of the RMG industry. It was found that total exports of goods rose to 37.94 billion U.S. dollars in 2019. However, the subsequent recovery in 2021 is evident, with notable growth in both imports and exports. Despite a persistently negative trade balance, the resilience showcased by Bangladesh in the face of challenges underscores its ability to rebound and adapt to changing circumstances.

Abstract:
A comparative analysis of seafood exports in the Hatay region between 2008 and 2023, in relation to overall trends in Türkiye and different regions, was conducted. Seafood export data was obtained from the Turkish Statistical Institute. The export amount has been in a long-term decline fishing and seafood production potential of Hatay, contrary to the general trend in Türkiye. Specifically, the export amount decreased by 62% since 2018, while it decreased by 22.65% in 2023 compared to the previous year. This ongoing downward trend can be attributed to the COVID-19, Syrian civil war, and the recent devastating earthquake in the region. Despite the high potential for seafood production in the region, investments have been limited due to the lack of allocation in organized industrial zones. Additionally, the absence of a wholesale fish market is a major issue preventing the emergence of a regional market. All these factors have caused disruptions in the supply chain and production, increased input costs, and market uncertainties both domestically and internationally. This indicates that infrastructure investments in the region must be prioritized by all stakeholders, the central authority, decisionmakers and policymakers for sustainable seafood exports contributing to regional development. In conclusion, despite the strong industrial and logistics infrastructure in Iskenderun Bay, the seafood sector in Hatay has failed to reach its full potential, unlike the national trend in Türkiye. This shortfall is directly reflected in export values. Therefore, necessary measures must be taken to effectively utilize the region's seafood potential.

Abstract:
Abstract The study conducts a comprehensive analysis of Afghanistan's agricultural export potential from 2011 to 2019, aiming to identify and diagnose export advantages, recognize growth opportunities, and present recommendations for enhancing the country's export advantage. The research evaluates Afghanistan's relative advantage in agricultural exports by employing six indicators, including Revealed Comparative Advantage RCA, Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA), Balance, Micheli Index (MI), Share in Trade Balance (CTB), and Kai Square indicating an increase in the share of agricultural products in total country exports, with fluctuations over the study period. Afghanistan demonstrates a higher relative advantage in various agricultural products, securing leading positions in producing and exporting fruits, nuts, and spices. Despite these advantages, challenges such as non-standard packaging and marketing issues hinder Afghanistan's market position. To address challenges, the study recommends mechanization, strategic investments, quality assurance, and policy improvements to strengthen Afghanistan's position in the global agricultural market.

Abstract:
According to the objectives of the federal project "Export of Agribusiness Products", the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) should increase the export of aquatic biological resources (ABR), including fish, to USD 1,338 million by 2024. Fish and fish products are among the top three agricultural exports in Russia (along with grains and oilseeds). The Far East is the main region in the Russian Federation for the capture of fish and other ABR. The article deals with the indicators of production and export of ABR of the fisheries industry of the FEFD, which includes also the Kamchatka Territory, Primorsky Territory, and the Sakhalin region. The authors consider problems that hinder its effective development and analyze directions and measures to solve existing problems. The main negative factors are associated with the infrastructural shortcomings, such as physical and moral deterioration of the fishing fleet, the lack of modern processing facilities, which do not allow producing fish products with high added value in the proper amount. To develop the concerned industry sector and resolve the issues constraining the growth of production and export capacity in the entities of the FEFD, the Russian government has developed special programs to promote investment activity, the construction of the necessary fishing fleet and infrastructure facilities, and modernization of existing facilities.

Abstract:
Several policies have been implemented in Nigeria to shift the export trade from oil to non-oil goods; yet the share of non-oil export in total exports remains very small compared to oil export, which may be due to the low level of financial sector development in the country. Unlike previous studies on Nigeria that focused exclusively on financial sector development and aggregate export (combined exports of oil and non-oil goods), this study concentrates on financial sector development and non-oil export using an autoregressive distributed lag technique, the dynamic ordinary least squares technique, and the non-linear autoregressive distributed lag technique over the period 1986-2020. The empirical results showed that the relationship between financial sector development and non-oil export is linear. Results also showed that, in the short term, the country?s level of financial sector development worsens exports of non-oil products. However, in the long term, there is no connection between non-oil export and financial sector development, which challenges the theoretical view that trade and financial sector development are linked at any given time period. The study recommends that the government and policymakers in Nigeria should make sure that the financial sector is sufficiently developed, otherwise the goal to diversify the export base may not be achieved.

Abstract Food security is a critical global issue, and the D8 countries (Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey) represent a significant group of emerging economies with diverse agricultural systems and challenges. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the determinants of food security in the D8 countries using panel data regression analysis. The study utilizes a panel dataset covering a time period of 9 years (2012-2020) for the eight members of D8 countries, except Iran, with variables representing the proportion of agriculture's added value to GDP, the value of agricultural production per capita, the share of agricultural exports to total exports, and land productivity. The panel data regression analysis employs appropriate econometric techniques, which is random effects model, to account for cross-country and time-series variations. The result of the study shows that the value of agricultural production per capita has a positive relationship with Food Security variable. While the variables of the share of the added value of agriculture in GDP and the share of export of agricultural products in total export have a negative correlation with Food Security. There is also no correlation between land productivity and food security. The results of this paper will provide valuable information for policymakers and stakeholders to formulate effective strategies and interventions to improve food security in the region. The results of this research will also provide implications for other developing countries facing similar challenges in ensuring food security for their populations. Keywords: Food security, D8 countries, Random Effect Model, Agricultural production, Agricultural export.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of the problems and challenges of agricultural exports of Ukraine in the conditions of war. It was determined that before the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the country occupied a leading position in the world production of major agricultural crops (sunflower, rapeseed, barley, corn, wheat, soybeans). A comprehensive assessment of Ukraine's export positions in the world was carried out and the countries most dependent on the import of Ukrainian grain were identified. The dynamics of the domestic export of cereals, legumes (with products of their processing) and flour for the period from 2020/2021 MR to August 2023/2024 MR have been analyzed. The author has researched and systematized the problems of reducing the volume of export deliveries of Ukrainian grain to the world market. It is substantiated that part of the problems and challenges are macroeconomic in nature and complicate the development of the country's economy, distort market pricing mechanisms and reduce the competitiveness of domestic products. Among them is the risk of losing the country's reputation as a reliable supplier; loss of markets and trading partners; destruction of logistics and transport infrastructure; reduction of production volumes; change in demand; limiting access to resources; devaluation of the national currency, etc. A systematic analysis of the problems and challenges complicating agricultural export made it possible to single out the main ones: reduction in agricultural production volumes and loss of resource potential; limited financial resources; disruption of logistics chains. Special attention was paid to the problem of sea transportation, which before the beginning of the war provided about 95 % of agricultural exports. The dynamics of Ukraine's export volumes within the framework of the "grain initiative" during 2022- 2023 are analyzed. The role and significance of its implementation to mitigate the negative impact of Russia's military aggression on domestic agricultural exports is described. The reasons for the importance of sea transportation for Ukrainian exports have been determined: large volumes of supplies and their low cost. Emphasis is placed on the need to export by sea, even without the participation of Russia. The author researched the measures implemented by the Ukrainian government to support agricultural production and export and justified the need to develop a set of measures to stabilize and further develop the industry and restore the export of agricultural products. Among them are the following: reduction of bureaucratic barriers; state support for the development of logistics infrastructure, optimization of taxation and lending; adaptation of agricultural production to EU requirements; increasing the quality and safety of products in accordance with international standards; technological development and digitalization; restoration and transition of the agricultural sector to sustainable production. Abstract:
This study investigates India’s export dynamics, with a particular focus on its trade relationship with key global partners, especially the United States. Over the years, India’s exports have grown significantly. The export intensity index reveals that India’s trade with the United States is robust, accounting for 18% of India’s total exports in 2023, the concentration index indicates a moderate diversification in India’s export portfolio, although certain markets like the UAE and China exhibit higher concentration. For instance, the UAE’s export intensity index has increased from 11.4 in 1988 to 39.04 in 2022, showcasing its growing importance, while Japan’s index fell from 57.79 to 7.10 during the same period, reflecting diminishing trade ties. Despite a significant rise in overall exports, challenges persist, including a widening trade deficit, tariff barriers, and limited integration into global value chains.

Abstract:
Indonesia, a nation with a maritime focus, has vast seas and extensive coastlines, making fisheries crucial for economic growth. Despite being a significant global fishery producer, Indonesia faces challenges in adding value to its fisheries. This study focuses on shrimp, a key export commodity, examining obstacles and strategies for improving Indonesia's shrimp export performance. Using descriptive analysis and data from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, as well as online scholarly sources, the research reveals that shrimp significantly contributes to Indonesia's fishery exports. However, challenges such as limited availability of superior shrimp seed, high feed prices, environmental issues, and foreign shrimp seed competition impact shrimp farming. The study outlines positive trends in Indonesia's fishery export performance, with a substantial surplus in 2021. Shrimp dominates both export volume and value. Although the growth trend is positive, the research identifies impediments, including production challenges and non-tariff barriers. To overcome these issues, strategies must address technological, socio-economic, and environmental sustainability in shrimp farming. Government initiatives, such as tariff reductions and bilateral agreements, are essential for maximizing Indonesia's shrimp export potential. The research concludes by emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of Indonesia's shrimp industry in the global market.

Abstract:
This article address post 2006 Ethio-China trade relations: Challenges and its prospects. The trade relation between the two countries has shown some improvement after 2006 due to the change of trade policies in Ethiopia, China’s growing trade interests in Ethiopia, the strengthened ties between the two governments based on common outlook of the developmental state and the Chinese none intervention policy. After critical analysis of trade data of the two countries, this paper empirically proved that Ethiopia incurs huge deficit in its trade with China. The data reveal that Ethiopia’s export to China is much short of its imports from China. Thus, Ethiopia’s balance of trade deficit can be largely explained by the unequal terms of trade between agricultural commodities (the country’s major export) and capital goods (Ethiopia’s major imports from China). In Ethiopia, dependence on the export of few primary agricultural products and raw materials leads to the country’s weak export performance and trade deficit. Among others, one of the major challenges of Ethiopia and China trade relations is the balance of trade which is highly slanted in favor of China. The scales are thus already tipped in China’s favor making it difficult for Ethiopia to bargain a genuine partnership. The China’s stance on Ethiopia is likely to harden in the long run, with more manipulation and exploitation and less benefit for Ethiopia. Also, dumping of low priced export goods forced domestic Ethiopian producers out of business because they cannot compete on price with China. Finally, trade deficit between the two countries can result in lower aggregate demand and therefore slower growth, in the long run it can undermine the standard of living and lead to loss of jobs in home based industries.

Abstract:
This research examines the drivers and barriers to the sustainability of vermiculture exports by MSMEs, with a case study of CV RAJ Organik in Malang City. Descriptive qualitative methods through interviews, observations, and documentation revealed that product quality, global partnerships, and adaptive capacity of business actors are the main supporters. However, bureaucratic complexity, regulatory uncertainty, and lack of local government support are significant obstacles. Digitalization of the export process and an integrated service system at the regional level are recommended as strategic solutions to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of local potential-based MSME exports.

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to study the logistical processes of management of supply chains for the export of goods in Ukraine under martial law and to propose the main directions of such management. The ongiong war in Ukraine is a problem that affects not only the economy and well-being of Ukraine itself, but also the whole world, so the analysis and optimization of logistical processes to ensure efficient exports and maintaining the economic stability of both Ukraine and the whole world is one of the most important issues of the present day. Ukraine, as a country with significant potential for exporting goods, faces numerous challenges in the field of logistics, especially in terms of war. The existing infrastructure and logistical systems are partially destroyed or not adapted to the export conditions during the war period. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of export logistics by improving transport routes, reducing delivery time and optimizing the supply chain. The relevance of the study lies in the consideration that the logistical aspects of the export of goods in military conditions are crucial for the efficiency and sustainability of the country’s economy. An in-depth analysis of the challenges faced by exporters during the military invasion is a key to developing new strategies and policies aimed at ensuring uninterrupted exports and strengthening economic resilience. The export supply chain management during a full-scale military invasion is defined as a solution to a set of problems arising from changes in the geopolitical and economic environment that affect logistical processes and the export infrastructure. These challenges include disruptions to transportation, revision of trade routes, changes in tariff conditions, and supply chain instability. The proposed article considers the main aspects of these difficulties, as well as predicts the further development of strategies for overcoming and avoiding logistical problems.

"Phytosanitary and Technical Quality Challenges in Export Fresh Vegetables and Strategies to Compliance with Market Requirements: Case of Smallholder Snap Beans in Kenya." Abstract:
Kenya is one of the leading exporters of snap beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) to Europe, but the export volume has remained below potential mainly due to failure to meet the market quality standards. The quality concerns include the presence of regulated and quarantine pests, pesticide residues, harmful organisms, and noncompliance with the technical standards. These challenges call for the development of alternative approaches in overcoming the phytosanitary and quality challenges in the export of snap beans and other fresh vegetables. These may include integrated pest management (IPM) approaches that incorporate non synthetic chemical options, such as diversified cropping systems, plant and microbial-based pesticides, varieties with multiple disease and pest resistance, insecticidal soaps, pheromones and kairomones, entomopathogens and predators. These approaches, coupled with capacity-building and adherence to the set quality standards, will improve compliance with export market requirements. The aim of this paper is to increase knowledge on implementing good practices across the value chain of fresh vegetables that would lead to improved quality and thereby meeting institutional requirements for the export market. The novelty of the current review is using snap beans as a model vegetable to discuss the challenges that must be mitigated for the quest of achieving high quality and increased volume of fresh export products. Whilst many of the publications have focused on alternatives to synthetic pesticides in addressing MRLs in fresh vegetable exports, there is a disconnect between research and industry in achieving chemical residue and pest free export vegetables. This review describes the phytosanitary and technical challenges faced by smallholder farmers in accessing export markets, evaluates the phytosanitary and quality requirements by the niche markets, and explores the strategies that could be used to enhance compliance to the institutional and market requirements for fresh vegetables.

Abstract:
In an endeavour to achieve enhanced agricultural export, India implemented the Agricultural Export Policy 2018 to augment its overall efforts toward agricultural export promotion. The Agricultural Export Policy ambitiously aims to double India’s exports by 2022. Moreover, the policy lists down the key objectives and provides a roadmap for overcoming strategic and operational challenges for agricultural export promotion. Meanwhile, India’s agricultural products have witnessed an increased spate of export restrictions. In 2022, citing domestic concerns on food availability, price affordability amid rising inflation, lower domestic output, increased consumption, and speculative trading, India restricted exports of rice, wheat, and sugar, thereby diverting some of them toward alternate uses. Export restrictions have compromised India’s ability to emerge as a reliable supplier to the world and have undermined the obligations to the agreed trade rules and policies. Accordingly, this study helps us understand the key motivations for such export restrictions, types of instruments used and examined at policy and practical levels, the rationale for such export restrictions. Furthermore, the study comprehensively and empirically examines incidence-based policy interventions and supplements it with specific cases. The findings indicate that the reasons cited by policymakers with regard to export restrictions hold little ground. The study suggests an action plan to eliminate dichotomy in India’s Agricultural Export Policy so that India can emerge as a reliable supplier of agricultural products in the world.
