Abstract:
The article discusses the actual theoretical problems of assessing the efficiency of use of the export-import potential of enterprise (EIPE). The complexity of socio-economic conditions of activities of industrial enterprises requires revision of the theory and practice of the management of export potential. The efficiency of export-import activity depends on the efficiency of the use of export-import potential at the enterprise, and this justifies the need to solve the problems of import substitution in the economy. Ports serve as key logistical hubs that handle the majority of a country's export-import operations. The export-import potential of port business enterprises remains underutilized due to outdated infrastructure, low levels of digitalization, and Ukraine's geopolitical position, which has worsened as a result of the full-scale war. A significant portion of the port infrastructure has been lost, and the number of operational ports has decreased to six, severely limiting cargo turnover and complicating logistics processes. This highlights the urgent need to analyze the export-import potential of

It is determined that during 2019-2023, imports of most types of agricultural machinery tend to reduce its volume. The aggression of Russia has led to the loss of markets in Russia and Belarus, where a lot of Ukrainian machinery was previously supplied. The reasons for the decline in exports of almost all types of agricultural machinery last year were various factors, including the destruction, damage and occupation of some agricultural machinery companies as a result of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukrai

This paper presents the recently added support for import and export of functional mockup units (FMUs) in CasADi, an open-source software framework for numerical optimization. Of particular interest is the efficient calculation of derivatives, especially in the context of sensitivity analysis and dynamic optimization. We show how the import interface allows for both first and second derivatives can be efficiently and accurately calculated and - importantly - validated for correctness. We also outline the FMU export interface, which leverages CasADi mature and efficient support for forward and

The purpose of the article is to examine the market gaps in order to determine the untapped export potential of agricultural products, where Azerbaijan has a comparative advantage. First of all, the import-export balance of agricultural products of Azerbaijan was analyzed and the main export products were determined. The export geography of the main export products and the volume of demand for those products in the world market were analyzed. Taking into account the production potential of Azerbaijan and the ratio of demand and supply, the possibilities of increasing exports have been evaluate

Export/import based CAD integration is perceived by industry to be a second-rate integration. There have been various proposals to enhance such integration by refining and extending formats, generally via new formatting standards. The basic format for solid models has been stable for the last 20 years, so perhaps formatting standards are not the problem. In this paper, a different view of export/import issues for CAD models is proposed and evaluated using a rudimentary solid model where the export/import translation is perfect, but sustained integration still fails. The success of each national economy is reflected in the volume and quality of its international trade. At the time of increasingly pronounced globalization of the world economy, the importance of international trade is becoming greater. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a small, open economy, dependent on changes in the region as well as on the global market. The characteristics of the international trade of Bosnia and Herzegovina are: an open economic system, high import-export dependence (growth in exports leads to growth in imports), as well as a current account deficit of the balance of payments

The capture fisheries sector plays a vital role in the national economy, especially in export and import activities. This study aims to analyze the influence of production volume and exchange rates on the export volume of major marine capture fisheries commodities. This research employs a quantitative causal approach using secondary data from the period of 2014-2023 (on a quarterly basis). The statistical technique used is multiple regression analysis. The analysis of the development of the agrarian sector, dynamics and structure of exports and imports of food and the state of the food market in Kyrgyzstan is carried out. The assessment of the level of competitiveness of the industry and food security is presented. Factors and risks of increasing the competitiveness of the agricultural sector under conditions of integration are revealed. The factors of unjustified growth of import-privatizability of the domestic food market and a reduction in the volume of exports of agri-food products were revealed. This study examines the intricate trade interdependencies between Canada and the United States, highlighting how aggregate export–import figures can mask deeper economic realities. Approximately three-quarters of Canadian merchandise exports head to the United States each year, contributing to a bilateral merchandise trade surplus for Canada in the range of 100 to 170 billion Canadian dollars. Yet, when energy products are excluded, the United States shows a small surplus with Canada, illustrating how both sides benefit from specialized cross-border value chains. Amid the evolving US-China tariff realignment and the broader restructuring of global value chains, this paper evaluates the vulnerability and strategic positioning of the Philippines alongside four other ASEAN economies—Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. For the ASEAN-5, the key challenge lies in minimizing exposure to import flooding from displaced Chinese goods and potential exclusion from global value chains if competitiveness falters, while also capitalizing on trade and investment diversion opportunities. Abstract:
The participation of China, Japan, and South Korea in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is expected to gradually erode the Philippines’ existing trade preferences in each of these nations as tariffs between them diminish over their respective tariff liberalization timelines. Labor-intensive goods, particularly those linked to global value chains, face the highest risk of export decline, notably in China, then in Korea and Japan. To counter potential losses, this Policy Note recommends that the Philippines focus on enhancing export competitiveness. Strategies should involve

Security concerns in a context of increasingly segmented supply chains haveled to stricter border control measures, which may potentially negatively affect international trade. Customs around the world have therefore implemented security-motivated certification programs to facilitate licit trade. These programs offer trustworthy trading firms, i.e., Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs), several advantages in the administrative processing of their shipments including less frequent physical inspections and expedited customs clearance. Tunisia’s agricultural system is central to the stability of the country, but it is also extremely prone to climate risks such as droughts and reduced or more variable rainfall. It is predicted that agricultural yields from key crops like wheat and olives will decline. These climate risks on Tunisia’s agricultural and wider food system can lead to socioeconomic instability and potentially cause security risks. Furthermore, these risks can have knock-on effects that cross national borders, sectors and systems. Tunisia’s capacity to adapt to climate change is undermined by three sets of politica
