Solvent and extraction methods have been established as one of the determinant of extract yield and its components. These influence the amount of phenolic compounds in the extracts that inhibit microbial growth in meat products during storage. However, the influence of different solvent extraction on grilled chicken has not been documented. Hence, the physicochemical, microbial and sensory properties of grilled chicken marinated in different onion skin solvent extraction were investigated. Shallow fresh groundwater and deep saline groundwater are used together with surface water in the extraction of bitumen from the Athabasca Oil Sands both in the surface mining and in situ operations. Much concern has been expressed regarding contamination of surface waters by seepage from tailings ponds, but hydrogeological studies indicate that this is not happening; that seepage capture design is effective. Les pertes initiales, qui n'excèdent pas 2 à 3 mm, dépendent essentiellement de l'état de saturation des surfaces imperméables au début de la pluie. Abstract:
The main objective of this paper is to segment the disease affected portion of a plant leaf and extract the hybrid features for better classification of different disease patterns. A new approach named as Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is proposed for image segmentation. PSO is an automatic unsupervised efficient algorithm which is used for better segmentation and better feature extraction. Features extracted after segmentation are important for disease classification so that the hybrid feature extraction components controls the accuracy of classification for different diseases. Abstract:
The extraction of flavonoids from clovers was optimized to maximize flavonoid yield Y in this study. A central composite design of response surface methodology involving extracting time, liquid-solid ratio, extracting temperature and ethanol concentration was used, and second-order model for Y was employed to generate the response surfaces. The optimum condition for Y was determined as follows: extracting time 24min, liquid-solid ratio 20, extracting temperature 80°C, and ethanol concentration 72%. Under the optimum condition, the flavonoid yield was 2.49%.

Abstract:
In the fields of 3D modeling, analysis of discontinuities and engineering calculation, surface extraction is of great importance. The rapid development of photogrammetry and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology facilitates the study of surface extraction. Automatic extraction of rock surfaces from 3D rock-mass point clouds also becomes the basis of 3D modeling and engineering calculation of rock mass. This paper presents an automated and effective method for extracting rock surfaces from unorganized rock-mass point clouds. This method consists of three stages: (i) clustering based on
