Abstract:
An educational institution will be able to actualize democratic education in its school environment holistically as described by Zamroni (2011) must at least integrate three important elements in a school. The three elements are the structure, the culture of the school, and the educational process carried out by teachers. Previous literature studies show that the integration of the three elements has not been maximally actualized in educational institutions. This research will explain the actualization of democratic education through the reorientation of the democratic education process through the development of extracurricular activities of modern Islamic boarding school Assalaam Surakarta Indonesia. To achieve the research objectives, this study uses a qualitative approach with three data collection techniques: interviews, documentation, observations. The results of this study show that the actualization of democratic education in the boarding school environment through the development of extracurricular activities can be done by reorienting extracurricular activities. At least the reorientation process can be carried out in the early stages, namely, the use of extracurricular activities proportionately and professionally, to carry out the management of the extracurricular based on democratic values and develop extracurricular activities in a structured and planned manner to develop democratic values gradually and continuously.

The article deals with the problems associated with the formation of civic qualities and Patriotic feelings of schoolchildren by means of extracurricular activities. As an integral part of the educational process, extracurricular activities are a mechanism that reveals the internal logic and structural components of the process of civil and Patriotic education. In the process of implementing extracurricular activities, a General education organization must create the necessary conditions to develop basic value orientations. Therefore, when planning educational work, it is important to take into account the methodological foundations and principles of civil and Patriotic education. A significant expansion of students ' understanding of the essence of citizenship and patriotism is facilitated by events, the content of which is dominated by materials about the historical events of the country, state symbols, and traditional cultural values. From these positions, the organization and implementation of extracurricular activities of educational organizations, due to its educational potential, largely determines the orientation of students to their socialization, being the most important mechanism of civil and Patriotic education.

Abstract:
The ecological dimension of education should entail all the elements of contemporary ecological culture and personality structure. The school, fulfilling its role as an educational institution, should embrace its share of responsibility for promoting and fostering ecological education, and the process itself should be viewed as a valuable and stimulating activity that instills positive values in students, improves critical thinking skills, and develops active attitudes towards oneself, but also towards other people, nature, society and culture as a whole. Ecological education should be grounded in acquiring knowledge about natural processes, the interconnectedness of global developments, and their effect on human populations and the environment. Young learners best learn about nature through play, i.e., they learn by doing and cooperating. The activities conducted in schools are mostly of the practical type, or lessons for life: collecting scrap paper, sorting waste and recyclables, taking care of seedlings and plants, promoting ecology on important dates. Actively involving students in maintaining their schoolyard teaches them key values, namely that their involvement matters and contributes to a healthier, more pleasant environment. Ecological projects born out of student-adult cooperation and engaging local communities aim to convey important messages about ecology, raise awareness and foster the adoption of positive attitudes towards nature and community. This paper will present positive examples and key characteristics of good practices of the Eco Club in “Miroslav Krleža” Elementary School. It will also suggest the most acceptable activities by outlining several didactic-methodological proposals that may be of use to students of educational colleges, as well as to elementary school teachers who run eco clubs, or wish to start extracurricular activities in the field of ecology.

Abstract:
Despite the undeniable educational potential of extracurricular sport, the individual and social values attributed to them are not inherent in its practice. It is educators, whose attitudes, disposition and personal vision of extracurricular sport determine how it is implemented. For this reason, this study analysed the opinions and perceptions of future physical education specialists about the objectives of extracurricular sports, with the aim of identifying the main shortcomings and divergences between theory and practice. Three hundred and twenty-eight students of physical education from three different degree programmes, 104 women and 221 men, aged between 17 and 38 years, were surveyed. Although the majority of students considered socialising, educating in values, inclusion, developing motor skills and promoting healthy habits to be fundamental objectives of extracurricular sport, a high percentage of students recognised the importance of values related to competitiveness. It was also found that the students´ academic training was associated with their view of extracurricular sport. A discrepancy between the ideal goals of extracurricular sport and those underlying current practice was perceived by the students. It was concluded that it is essential to improve the training of those agents who interact directly with children in order to transform extracurricular sport to guarantee its contribution to children´s holistic development and a thorough education in values.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the problem of transition to a qualitatively new state of extracurricular education as an integral part of the entire education system in the process of education reform in Ukraine. The need to identify the role and place of extracurricular activities with enormous educational potential in the system architecture of education has been updated. Extra-curricular activities are considered as educational institutions that are tasked with creating the conditions for socialization, further self-realization and / or professional activity and civic development of children and young people, as well as organizing their meaningful leisure. Emphasis is placed on the accessibility and quality of extracurricular education in Ukraine and ways to improve it. In modern scientific and pedagogical research it is emphasized that the system of extracurricular education is unique in approaches to the organization of educational work, which determines its important place in the educational branch of Ukraine. As a separate socio-pedagogical phenomenon, it has been formed and developed in accordance with the specific socio-cultural, economic development of the country as a whole and regions in particular. Accessibility or equal access to education determines that no matter where the child is born - in a large city or small town or village - she is entitled to extracurricular education, to study in out-of-school educational institutions. In Ukraine, ensuring equal access to education, including extracurricular education, is one of the priority areas of public education policy. Further development of extracurricular education as an important component of the education system of Ukraine can be ensured only on condition of improving the quality of extracurricular education should be considered in organizational, technological, scientific, methodological and psychological-pedagogical aspects. It should also be noted that the process of improving the organizational and technological foundations of extracurricular education will be effective under the conditions of continuous support from the authorities. Thus, it should be emphasized that the realization of the educational potential of extracurricular educational institutions on the basis of modern psychological and pedagogical provisions and methodological bases of extracurricular education presupposes the presence of an appropriate legal framework, a system of scientific and methodological support, a modern material and technical base of the educational establishment; cooperation with other social institutions for the implementation of social functions of education, upbringing and socialization of children and youth and for improving such indicators of the effectiveness of the educational system of Ukraine as the quality and accessibility of extracurricular education. constant professional and creative interaction of scientists and practitioners with the support of state structures. Abstract:
We presented and briefly described stages of evolution of practical-oriented development of socialization of children in conditions of integration of general and extracurricular education of children. The study bases on the theory of social partnership, the concept of integration of general and extracurricular education. We established three main stages of evolution of practical-oriented development of socialization of children in conditions of integration of general and extracurricular education of children. We described the main stages of evolution by presenting the main models of integration, key regulatory documents. We found that the key resource for integrating general and complementary education is the ideological, substantive and organizational unity of key components of the educational process in the school. The integration of extra-time activities and the development of extracurricular education programmes creates favourable conditions for the fuller self-realization of students. A modern school needs a holistic project of instrumentally equipped educational and methodological support for combining extracurricular education and out-of-hours activities of students during the socialization of schoolchildren. One of the possible mechanisms for combining extracurricular and general education in the socialization of schoolchildren may be the formation, discussion and approval of an educational program of general education levels of a general education organization.

It explores the after-school activities and interests of Czech nursery schools (NS) children. The topic focuses on the disharmony and subsequent fine-tuning of interests of both the family and the kindergarten, set against the background of parents’ requirements and the kindergarten’s reaction to them. The goal is to shed light on how kindergartens reflect parents’ requirements pertaining to their children’s extracurricular activities, the kindergarten’s perception and interpretation of this situation, and what sort of approach is used for implementation. The research and survey method used is content analysis. Fifteen kindergarten teacher thematic reports, 3,000-5,000 words each, and forty inspection reports, the results of Czech kindergarten inspections, were analyzed. The analytical techniques of Grounded Theory - open and axial coding - were used in the processing of the source materials. The results of the analysis set in a paradigm model depict the state of administration and relationships between variables, which determine after-school activities in kindergartens. It was demonstrated that kindergartens select various approaches when negotiating a solution to extracurricular activities. The educational reality then includes kindergartens that do organize after-school activities as well as those that do not. Kindergartens which do offer after-school activities, however, differ in the degree of acceptance of such programs in terms of need for child development and how they perceive the benefits of such an above-standard approach towards their customers.

Abstract:
The article discusses approaches to the formation of modern educational spaces of extracurricular education institutions. On the basis of a number of classification features, variants of planning solutions for educational spaces of an individual, group and public nature are proposed. It is noted that the variety of planning solutions and the comfort of using the study cell is achieved through the use of different-scale learning spaces, the right ratio between the spaces for individual, group and public educational work. It is advisable to use equipment that is universal for different age categories of users, which expands the possibility of using the premises. Through the use of combinatorial techniques in design, the effects of a variety of planning solutions are achieved. The architectural design process is a continuous flow of combinatorial operations. In the process of finding the best solution, many options are considered, ideas and thoughts are combined with rational design techniques. Combining unique and repetitive elements allows for a variety of design solutions. The primary architectural solution of an object or space involves the use of simplified abstract elements - points, lines, spots, shapes - and their combinations to find an expressive architectural form. Study spaces are conventionally divided into sub-zones of individual, group and public work. Individual learning units are intended mainly for independent studying; it is possible to work under the guidance of a teacher or in the accompaniment of a special person (inclusive approach in education). Group learning units can be designed for use by groups of 2 up to 25 children with or without teacher guidance. Public educational units are designed for intergroup work or for such forms of learning as lectures. Planning options for solutions for individual, group and public learning zones are proposed in the article. Planning solutions are developed on the basis of the conditional division of zones according to the parameters of equipment availability, teacher support and isolation.

Abstract:
The paper examines approaches to increasing levels of leisure time physical activity in higher school students. The following methods were used: theoretical analysis of special scientific and methodological literature and documentary materials; comparison and matching (comparative method); sociological techniques (surveying was conducted using Google Forms); pedagogical methods; methods for assessing physical activity; and the methods of mathematical statistics. The study was carried out at the National technical university of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. The study involved first and second year students (in total 80 students). The degree of involvement of students in health-enhancing extracurricular activities was determined and the attitude of students to extracurricular forms of organization of physical education classes was assessed according to the following criteria: content of classes; the effectiveness of extracurricular physical education classes; level of logistics; regularity of extracurricular physical education classes; availability of extracurricular activities for different categories of students; compliance of classes with the interests and preferences of students; use of innovative types of physical activity during classes; qualification of research and teaching staff who conduct physical education classes; the quality of theoretical training provided by research and teaching staff during extracurricular time. The main shortcomings of the organizational support for extracurricular physical education classes were identified: insufficient efficiency of extracurricular activities; ignoring innovative approaches to the organization of classes, popular types of physical activity, a wide arsenal of tools and methods of physical education, and modern fitness technologies, which have repeatedly proven their effectiveness in extracurricular activities; and lack of classes during winter and summer vacations, as well as during exam sessions. For most students, physical activity is not a priority. The reasons that prevent students from participating in physical activities and sports were identified as follows: lack of conditions; features of the emotional and volitional sphere of personality (inability to overcome laziness and passivity); lack of theoretical knowledge on designing health-enhancing activities; lack of company; inappropriate health condition; and lack of external incentives.

Abstract:
Extracurricular reading can broaden the horizons of college students. Exploring the patterns of students’ extracurricular learning and analyzing the relationships between extracurricular learning interests and book borrowing behaviours and the intervention mechanism of book borrowing can provide scientific guidance and basis for the comprehensive development of college students. Most of the existing learning interest analysis models have ignored other feedbacks generated in learner’s behaviours, and there are very few studies on learning interests based on book borrowing behaviours. Therefore, this paper conducts an analysis of college students’ extracurricular learning interests based on book borrowing behaviours. Based on the data of college students’ book borrowing behaviours obtained from the service terminal of the library management system, an extracurricular learning interest model for learners was constructed, and the extracurricular learning interest degrees of college students were calculated based on the borrowing time and the number of borrowing times. A multi-layer interest model based on knowledge graph was also constructed to further improve the accuracy of the analysis results of learners’ extracurricular learning interests.

Abstract:
We used the Hierarchical Linear Bernoulli Model based on China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) 2016 data and provincial high school acceptance rate data. We explored the relationship between provincial high school entrance examination competition and students’ extracurricular tutoring participation during compulsory education. The study found that the high school acceptance rate and occupational high school acceptance rate have no significant effect on the participation rate of students’ extracurricular tutoring in the compulsory education stage. However, the high school acceptance rate has a significant positive impact on the participation rate of students’ extracurricular tutoring, and there is a heterogeneous effect on the participation rate of students’ extracurricular tutoring from families of different social classes. The higher the high school acceptance rate, the greater the probability of students from families with higher social strata participating in extracurricular tutoring. The demonstration high school acceptance rate has a significant negative impact on students’ extracurricular tutoring participation rate. It has a heterogeneous influence on students’ extracurricular tutoring participation in different school stages and social class families. The education administration department should actively expand high-quality, high school educational resources and increase the demonstration high school acceptance rate. And to increase the number of admissions for the demonstration high school to disadvantaged families with lower social strata to alleviate the pressure of families and students from the high school entrance examination competition. This can not only reduce the participation rate of students’ extracurricular tutoring during the compulsory education stage, but also promote the equalization of high-quality high school entrance opportunities for children of different classes of families.
