Abstract:
The present study enumerates the diversity of indigenous and alien agrestal weeds of rabi crops in Uttar Pradesh, India. After a detailed survey of 5 years during 2018–2023, a total of 88 species of weeds belonging to 75 genera and 30 families were documented. In accordance to APG IV classification, the documented weeds are distributed across six major clades; the Malvids and Lamiids with 27 and 19 species respectively, followed by Campanulid (19 species), Fabids (18 species), Eudicots (Four species) and Asterid (one species).

Abstract:
Abstract Tetraena mongolica is an endangered xerophytic shrub with high ecological value for the restoration of desert vegetation because of its high tolerance to drought and heat stress. Here, we generated a high-quality chromosome-level reference genome of T. mongolica by combining PacBio HiFi data and Hi-C sequencing technologies, which was approximately 1.12 Gb (contig N50 of 25.5 Mb) in size and contained 61,888 protein-coding genes; repetitive sequences comprised 44.8% of the genome. This genome of T. mongolica is the first published genome sequence of a member of the order Zygophyllales

We present the information about angiosperm species in Bhadrak District of Odisha, India. In so doing, we assess the state of floristic knowledge across ecoregions of the district and pinpoint our understanding of the district flora. This study is first of its kind conducted in the district showing current status of the angiosperm diversity. A total of 383 species (262 native species and 121 non-native species) belonging to 282 genera under 93 families are recorded as per APG III classification. These taxa are distributed in 12 superorders and 39 orders; 26.7% of the native species were report

Abstract Background Fabaceae plants appear to contain larger numbers of subclade IVa basic-helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors than other plant families, and some members of this subclade have been identified as saponin biosynthesis regulators. We aimed to systematically elucidate the diversification of this subclade and obtain insights into the evolutionary history of saponin biosynthesis regulation in Fabaceae. Results In this study, we collected sequences of subclade IVa bHLH proteins from 40 species, including fabids and other plants, and found greater numbers of subclade IVa bHL
