Abstract:
Information retrieval systems utilize user feedback for generating optimal queries with respect to a particular information need. However, the methods that have been developed in IR for generating these queries do not memorize information gathered from previous search processes, and hence cannot use such information in new search processes. Thus, a new search process cannot profit from the results of the previous processes. Web Information Retrieval systems should be able to maintain results from previous search processes, thus learning from previous queries and improving overall retrieval quality. In this chapter, we are using the similarity of a new query to previously learned queries. We then expand the new query by extracting terms from documents, which have been judged as relevant to these previously learned queries. Thus, the new method uses global feedback information for query expansion in contrast to local feedback information, which has been widely used in previous work in query expansion methods. Experimentally, we compared a new query expansion method with two conventional information retrieval methods in local and global query expansion to enhance the traditional information system. From the results gathered it can be concluded that although the traditional IR system performance is high, but we notice that PRF method increases the average recall and decreases the fallout measure.

According to Fenrich, the concurrence of the civil rights movement and the American space program reveal the two primary methods by which the advocates in the modern era have sought to advance the interests of African Americans. First, a negative project: the removal of formal barriers to the exercise of rights, more specifically, ending discriminatory practices in Equal Employment Opportunity and education. Second, more positive efforts, such as equal employment opportunities or affirmative action, that place opportunities within the reach of historically disadvantaged people. This chapter is concerned with a set of optimization problems associated to crop rotation scheduling in the context of vegetable crop production according to some ecological criteria: no crop of the same botanic family is planted in sequence, green manure and fallow periods must be present in any schedule. A core mathematical model called the crop rotation scheduling model is proposed to represent these ecological criteria together with specific technical constraints associated to the growing of vegetable crops. Three optimization problems based on crop rotation schedules are written in detail in this chapter. For each problem, the authors present a general modeling framework and a solution methodology based on a technique known as column generation, which iteratively builds crop rotation plans for a number of plots. Some extensions are also presented, with the aim of incorporating additional characteristics found in production field conditions. This chapter ends with a brief discussion on a set of computational experiments and some suggestions for future research.

Abstract:
Both CMR and MSCT give almost unrestricted access to intra-thoracic structures, whereas ultrasonic access may be limited in ACHD patients. MSCT, generally using intravascular contrast, gives superior spatial resolution more rapidly than CMR, although the radiation dose is a concern in younger patients who may require repeated studies. MSCT gives better visualisation of epicardial coronary arteries and small collateral vessels, and can show conduit calcification or stent location clearly. It provides an alternative to CMR in patients with a pacemaker or ICD. CMR offers unrivalled versatility of acquisition methods without ionizing radiation, enabling measurements of biventricular function, flow, myocardial viability, angiography and more. A dedicated CMR service should be available in a centre specializing in ACHD care. Appropriate understanding is needed for the evaluation of congenitally and surgically altered circulatory function, for example after Fontan operations, surgery for transposition of the great arteries or tetralogy of Fallot.

Abstract:
The discussions within this book have analysed the interdependences among economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainability. The social and environmental sustainability of development requires the process of growth to be socially non-disruptive and it should not involve any serious environmental risk of the collapse of its ecosystem. The former would require a just distribution of resources and social products among its people so that there is no serious poverty or inequality due to absolute or relative deprivation of resources or income for some of its people, and therefore no economic source of social tension. The empirical findings using advanced econometric and quantitative methods on the interrelationships among poverty, inequality, social tension, social discrimination, and religious polarization on the one hand and their fallouts in the form of crime, riots, and insurgencies across Indian states on the other have been quite informative, not always stereotypical, and insightful from the point of view of policy planning for social sustainability. The environmental sustainability condition would, on the other hand, require the reduction of the ecological footprint and improvement of environmental protection through conservation of resources and control of pollution, including CO...

Abstract:
The chapter has highlighted the adverse impact of conversion of natural land cover into urban concrete over inter-seasonal variation of land surface temperature (LST) in Faridabad district which is a major threat for sustainable urbanism. Apart from high LST in the dense urban area built-up in Faridabad city, inter-seasonal variation of LST has been observed in dry deciduous forested areas due to defoliation, fallow land, and over-grazed land in rural surrounding areas. Compared to NDVI, NDBI has significant positive and stable correlation with LST in all seasons (Pearson index: 0.35 to 0.60). Weaker correlation (Pearson index: 0.02 to 0.48) between NDVI and LST accounts for the seasonal impact over NDVI due to defoliation and agricultural practices over the study area. Overall, it can be remarked that image-based spectral indices and thermal band can be used for the evaluating thermal environmental contrast across seasons. Use of in situ measurement with good network of meteorological stations can validate satellite-derived LST better and increase the accuracy of the study.

Abstract:
This paper presents a methodology for automated ultrasonic inspection of internal corrosion on product pipelines. The automated process replaces the standard manual methods of inspection and uses the ultrasonic ILI tool data to localize the areas of corrosion on the exposed joint. Typically, only the bottom part of the pipe must be inspected due to the predominant damage mechanism being sediment fallout that tends to collect on the bottom of the pipelines producing a corrosive environment. The result is a superior inspection, due to the increased speed, reliability and reproducibility that aut

In 2014–2020, in the conditions of the Tambov region, in a six-field grain-fallow crop rotation we studied the effect of mineral fertilizers on the productivity of sunflower variety Spartak of breeding of Tambov Research Institute of Agriculture. For the period of 2014–2020, the highest yield was obtained with the application of N30P30K30 + seed treatment with Megamix (2.0 l/t) and amounted to 2.84 t/ha. The most cost-effective of application of microfertilizers is the pre-plant seed treatment (4).

Abstract:
The problem of meadow growing in the conditions of entering fallow lands presupposes a mandatory technological operation of high-quality soil preparation for sowing. Soil preparation, as well as the fight against weeds, is perhaps the most environmentally friendly method – agrotechnical, due to the use of meadows in the production of fodder for animal husbandry.
