Abstract:
The problems of discriminating the faces of a die using several colors and finding the number of ways a necklace can form are extremely famous in combinational analysis. The Burnside’s lemma, which is also called Burnside’s counting theorem or other names, is usually necessary in taking account of symmetries when enumerating nonequivalent patterns. In this paper, starting from the definition and clarifications of important concepts used in the proof of Burnside’s lemma, it presents a clear proof to this significant formula used across combinatorics, group theory, recreational and contest mathematics. Moreover, these definitions are explained in simpler terms, which provide better intuition to the application of the Burnside’s lemma. Next, some famous examples of the application of this lemma are discussed. A simple coloring problem and a simple necklace problem was given in the start of the corresponding sections, allowing readers to understand how this lemma is applicable in these scenarios. Afterwards, Burnside’s lemma is applied to solve more general problems, which are more significant.

Abstract:
An algorithmic uniform method to measure the complexity of finitely refutable statements [6, 7, 9] was used to classify famous/interesting mathematical statements like Fermat's last theorem, the four colour theorem, and the Riemann hypothesis [8, 15, 16]. Working with inductive Turing machines of various orders [1] instead of classical computations, we propose a class of inductive complexity measures and inductive complexity classes for mathematical statements which generalise the previous method. In particular, the new method is capable to classify Π2–statements. As illustrations, we evaluate the inductive complexity of the Collatz and twin prime conjectures — statements which cannot be evaluated with the original method.

Abstract:
The article reveals corporate social responsibility, business socialization, the essence, meaning and criteria of social business. Appropriate generalizations were made on the various scientific and theoretical views of economists on the assessment of corporate social responsibility. The characteristics, basic principles and philosophy of social business are explained in detail. The philosophy of social business is based on the fact that the investor is not given dividends on profits received from entrepreneurial activity, he receives only the amount of money invested, and the rest of the investment is invested in business development and the implementation of socially significant projects. The features of the formation of family farms (family business) as an important form of social entrepreneurship and development prospects at the regional level are revealed. Family business is a social business model in which family members participate in management and succession in family traditions. Famous family business firms have evolved and become large companies influencing the global economy. In the Republic of Azerbaijan, ABAD (Simplified Support to Family Business) provides support to family enterprises in the field of arts and crafts, as well as business planning, marketing, design, finance, accounting and legal assistance. Certification of manufactured products according to the “one-stop shop” principle, organization of logistics and sales is carried out by ABAD. Suggestions were made to increase the role of social business in improving the welfare of the population and in the sustainable development of the national economy.

Abstract:
Introduction. High variation in the low-level proprieties of visual stimuli and varying degrees of familiarity with famous faces may have caused a bias in the results of investigations that tried to disentangle the processes involved in familiar and unfamiliar face processing (e.g., temporal differences in the detection of the first event-related potentials specialized in face processing may have been caused by different methods of controlling variance in the low-level proprieties of visual stimuli). Objective. To address these problems, we developed a freely available database of 183 famous faces whose low-level proprieties (brightness, size, resolution) have been homogenized and the level of familiarity established. Method. The brightness of the stimuli was standardized by a custom-developed algorithm. The size and the resolution of the pictures were homogenized in Gimp. The familiarity level of the famous faces was established by a group of 48 Portuguese college students. Results. Our results suggest that the brightness of each image did not differ significantly from the mean brightness value of the stimuli set, confirming the standardizing ability of the algorithm. Forty-one famous faces were classified as highly familiar. Main findings and implications. This study provides two important resources, as both the algorithm and the database are freely available for research purposes. The homogenization of the low-level features and the control of the level of familiarity of the famous faces included in our database should ensure that they do not elicit confounding effects such as the ones verified in past studies.

With his now famous regress argument, Sydney Shoemaker (1968) aimed to provide justification for the assumption that at least some cases of self-awareness cannot be based on identification. The overall goal of this paper is to discuss two possible worries one may have about Shoemaker’s argument. I will show that these problems have far-reaching consequences that may diminish the argument’s importance for an adequate theory of self-awareness and that another conclusion Shoemaker and other philosophers draw may be unwarranted.

In the present article, using the subordination principle, the authors employed certain generalized multiplier transform to define two new subclasses of analytic functions with respect to symmetric and conjugate points. In particular, bi-univalent conditions for function f(z) belonging to these new subclasses and their relevant connections to the famous Fekete-Szegö inequality |a3−va22| were investigated using a succinct mathematical approach.

Abstract It has been claimed, on the one hand, that Sraffa has successfully resolved some of the theoretical problems that Ricardo had tackled without success and, on the other hand, that Sraffa offered valid solutions to another set of theoretical problems that Marx incorrectly thought he had solved, in particular the famous "transformation problem". What is exactly the basis for such claims, especially the latter?

Catalan numbers is not as famous as Fibonacci numbers, however this number has own its beauty and arts. Catalan numbers was discovered by Ming Antu in 1730, however, this numbers is credited to Eugene Catalan when he was studying parentheses in 1838. Catalan numbers mostly occurs in counting or enumeration problems. The Catalan numbers can be defined in more than one forms, and the most famous form is Cn = 1/n+1(2nn). In this study we will discuss the multiset construction and the relationship of the results of Multiset with Stirling, Bell, and Catalan numbers.

Abstract:
In this article, I contend that philosophical reactions against ethno-philosophy, especially the arguments by professional African philosophers such as Paulin Hountondji and Kwame Anthony Appiah, cannot go unchallenged at a time when Africa is facing a myriad of problems such as disease, famine, ethnic conflicts, religious wars, and natural disasters which, in my view, stem from the continent’s failure to reflect on its past in the quest for lasting solutions. Having looked at the historical context of the emergence of ethno-philosophy or the project of cultural revivalism, and having closely examined the premises presented by Hountondji and Appiah against ethno-philosophy - which I consider to be unconvincing because of their tendency to glide into Western philosophical forms of thought - I argue that ethno-philosophy is just like Western philosophy, as it is based on a recognized form of reasoning, namely inductive reasoning, packaged in proverbs, riddles and other cultural resources. I also argue that religious beliefs are not an obstacle to the development of scientific thought in Africa; rather, they are an aid to it since both have complementary rather than opposing roles. Abstract We consider sticks with random lengths, which are further randomly broken into several pieces. The probability that these sticks can form a polygon is computed in this article. This Broken Pick-up Stick Problem was first asked in [1] and we give a general formula to solve this problem. Besides, we study the probability that any three sticks with independent and uniformly distributed lengths can form a triangle. Our results generalize the famous Spaghetti Problem and the Pick-up Stick Problem in probability. We present a way to transfer these continuous probability problems into discrete problems and apply combinatorial methods to address the discrete version of the problems.

Abstract:
The concept of fame has been associated with celebrities, wealth, attractiveness, and social recognition. Nevertheless, people have admiration for the famous who may not be celebrities. Admiration is regarded as one of the emotions of appreciation, or moral emotions, triggered by positive appraisals of excellence. It is present when seeing extraordinary displays of skills talent or achievement. However, theoretical and empirical research on admiration and its psychological effects on people are scarce. In this article, we discuss a qualitative study that explores a collection of experiences of admiration for the famous. Based on 26 in-depth interviews with residents in southern England, we explored why people admire famous individuals and how the experience may produce positive attitudes and behaviors. We found that through admiring famous individuals who are perceived to share similar interests and attributes, people may develop positive thinking about their own lives and may be more active in seeking new opportunities or engaging in self-growth. We also discuss the potential problems of admiration. This exploratory research contributes to the literature of positive psychology and has implications for furthering the understanding of people’s well-being.
