This thesis intend to study very broadly and generally the verbal and clausal structure of the Farsi, the official language of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It tries to bring the clausal and verbal structure of Farsi language into the recent amendments of X-bar theory, i.e. the introduction of two different sets of categories, namely functional and lexical ones. We will use the principle and parameter model of generative grammar as our theoretical model of analysis. This master thesis explores representations of fatherhood in the contemporary genre “daddy literature.” The study is based on four Swedish “daddy memoirs” published 2007-2010. In the genre, now adult children take a retrospective view on their relationships with their fathers, incorporating both a "child's perspective" on the father, and their present-day adult perspective. Kontaktperson är en av de vanligaste insatserna inom socialtjänsten som beviljas för personer som av olika sociala skäl behöver stöd. De som utför uppdragen är vanliga människor, lekmän. I denna studie intervjuas åtta av dem i syfte att undersöka rollen som kontaktperson och hur den skapas. Intervjupersonerna består både av erfarna och nya kontaktpersoner som har uppdrag i både små och stora kommuner. Persian has a case system whereby specific direct objects are marked with the enclitic را =rā. However, the spoken language presents a greater degree of flexibility with regard to =rā marking, especially in complex clauses such as restrictive relative clauses where a head noun can fulfil more than one syntactic function. Previous descriptions of direct object marking in relative clauses in Persian are routinely based on high-register language, e.g. written literature, and they are inconsistent in their observations.
