Abstract The cosmic “dark ages” is the period between the last scattering of the cosmic microwave background and the appearance of the first luminous sources, spanning redshifts 1100 ≳ z ≳ 30. I forårssemesteret 2019 afvikledes kandidatkurset Skulptur i farver på Københavns Universitet (KU). Kurset havde til hensigt at stille skarpt på ofte oversete blikke på skulpturen, affødt af en traditionel adskillelse af form og overflade, såsom skulpturernes farve og deres sanselige indvirkning på beskueren i deres nutidige museale kontekster. Abstract:

The sampling of stream sediment for reconnaissance geochemical mapping has been completed for a large contiguous area from Uummannaq to Kap Farvel in West Greenland and the compilation of analyticaI data has commenced. Distribution patterns for the first two maps produced, those of calcium and potassium, outline provinces which are related to crustal features. The geochemical provinces can be interpreted to reflect differences in the depth of the exposed crustal segments. Geochemical boundaries occurring in geologically poorly known regions may be indicative of contacts between crustal blocks

Jökulsá á Breiðamerkursandi er á meðal vatnsmestu vatnsfalla á Íslandi. Á meðan sandar á Suðausturlandi voru einungis reiðfærir og stórvötn öll óbrúuð, þótti Jökulsá á meðal illfærustu straumvatna landsins. Áður en áin gróf sig í stöðugan stokk á fjórða áratug 20. aldar átti hún til að flæmast um á sandinum, ýmist í mörgum álum eða falla fram í fáum straummiklum kvíslum. Sumir hinna gömlu farvega sjást enn báðum megin við núverandi farveg Jökulsár.
