"Development and characterization of cocoa brownie added of fassion fruit albedo flour (Passiflora edulis Sims)." Research, Society and Development 9, no. 8 (June 21, 2020): e45985245. http://dx.doi.org/10.33448/rsd-v9i8.5245.

Abstract:
The objective of the present work was to study the effect of the addition of passion fruit albedo flour, as a proposal for full use of food, in making a cocoa brownie, as well as evaluate its technological and microbiological characteristics. For this, four brownie formulations were developed, using oatmeal (control) and its partial replacement with passion fruit albedo flour. The entire elaboration process followed the technical standards for quality control. In sequence, physical-chemical evaluations were performed (moisture, ash, total sugars, lipids, proteins, carbohydrates and color parameters) and microbiological (thermotolerant coliforms, coagulase-positive Estafilococus and Salmonella). Technological and sensory changes were noticed, so that the higher the flour content of the added passion fruit albedo, the more voluminous, dry and with a rigid consistency the brownies stayed. The results of the physical-chemical analyzes were within the parameters referenced for this type of product, maintaining characteristics favourable to the preparation of brownies. Regarding colourimetric attributes, it can be seen that the colour of the cocoa brownie has become less intense with the increase in the concentration of passion fruit albedo flour. In all microbiological aspects evaluated, the results showed compliance with the standards established by the legislation. In this way, the passion fruit albedo flour showed great potential for brownie production without interfering with its nutritional and microbiological quality.

Abstract:
The paper presents the status of angiospermic flora of Char Kukri Mukri Wildlife Sanctuary, a small Island in the Bay of Bengal close to the Char Fassion Upazila of Bhola district. A total of 277 plant species belonging to 76 families was identified from the Island. For each plant species data on scientific name, local name, family, life form and habitat were provided. Trees of this Island were represented by 91, shrubs by 33, herbs by 118 and climbers by 35 species. The plant species recorded from the island were distributed in different habitats. Among the habitats, maximum species were recorded in homesteads (104) followed by roadsides (79), mangrove areas (47) and cultivated land (47).The study has reported the presence of medicinal plants, wildlife supporting plants, exotics and invasive plants, rare and threatened plants in the Island. The presence of fruit bearing species in the island is very rare because of high salinity. The introduction of exotics and invasive species into the Island has been recognized as the great challenges to the local angiospermic flora in future. This article also highlights the conservation values, management concerns and some measures for conservation of angiosperm diversity in the Island. Asiat. Soc. Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper examines the political writings of the Moroccan nationalist Allal Al-Fassi (1910-1974). It argues that there exists a considerable political tendency in these writings with excessive utilisation of jargon related to liberalism and political theory. In his intellectual and political project, Al-Fassi theorises about the possibility of creating a modern state on solid democratic and liberal foundations. Yet, however legitimate and seemingly liberal his theorisation might seem, the paper argues that the formation of a liberal state and a democratic society appears to be a mere dream given the fact that Al-Fassi grounds his conceptions within the Salafist and revivalist intellectual systems. Reading between the lines of his political works, nevertheless, reveals the dominance of Salafist intellections which deem the past and Islam as restorative in attaining a modern renaissance, at the political, economic, and cultural levels. This work, thus, problematizes three central points: the political tendency of Al-Fassi’s project, his religious and Salafist remnants and conceptions, and finally the possible ideological implications and interests that Al-Fassi seems to defend.

Abstract:
In a programmatic article, published in late 2008 in Anthropological Theory, the French anthropologist Didier Fassin explores the vexed question whether anthropology should be moral or not. Observing a general discomfort with the question of morality in the discipline of anthropology, Fassin argues that such a discomfort might actually serve a valuable heuristic function for the development of a moral anthropology in the near future. What Fassin means by moral anthropology is essentially a form of empirical inquiry that investigates how social agents articulate and negotiate moral claims in local contexts. In this response to Fassin’s article, I address a crucial challenge at the heart of moral anthropology, or the anthropology of ethics, as I prefer to call it. The challenge is to bring the anthropology of ethics into a productive relationship with the ethics of anthropology. Building on Fassin’s argument, I suggest that the discomfort with ethics indeed serves a valuable heuristic function because it is the spontaneous articulation of an ethics of discomfort.

Abstract:

Kata kunci: FASSIP 03 NT, tegangan mekanik, translasional displacement, restraint, clamp, slider ABSTRACTThe research activity was carried out against the background of an accident at the Fukushima Dai-Ichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan. Passive System Simulation Facility Strand-03 Nanobubbles Transparent (FASSIP 03 NT) uses Nanobubbles fluid as the working fluid. The FASSIP 03 NT strand support is one of the components in the FASSIP-03 NT strand, it functions as a support for all FASSIP 03 NT strand components so it is necessary to know its mechanical strength including mechanical stress and translational displacement. Methodology has been done through simulation testing using CATIA software, it is recommended to use a slider type restraint on the four legs of the FASSIP 03 NT strand support. With this passive system research, the condition of the absence of an electric power supply for the nuclear power plant reactor core cooling pump is not fatal, because the passive cooling system can take over the cooling function in the reactor core. Keywords: FASSIP 03 NT, mechanical stress, translational displacement, restraint, clamp, slider

Abstract:
Children with osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) frequently present with coxa vara (CV). Skeletal fragility, severe deformity and limited fixation options make this a challenging condition to correct surgically. Our study aimed to determine the efficacy of the Fassier technique to correct CV and determine the complication rate.Retrospective, descriptive case series from a tertiary hospital. We retrospectively reviewed records of a cohort of eight children (four females, 12 hips) with OI (6/8 Sillence type III, 2/8 type IV) who had surgical treatment with Fassier technique for CV between 2014 and 2020.Inclusion Criteria: All patients with CV secondary to OI treated surgically with Fassier technique.Exclusion Criteria: Patients older than 18 years; Patients with CV treated non-operatively or by surgical technique different to Fassier technique.Data relating to the following parameters was collected and analyzed: demographic data, pre- and postoperative neck shaft angle (NSA), complications and NSA at final follow-up.The mean age at operation was 5.8 years (range 2–10). The mean NSA was corrected from 96.8° preoperatively to 137º postoperatively. At a mean follow-up of 38.6 months, the mean NSA was maintained at 133°, and 83% (10/12) of hips had an NSA that remained greater than 120°. There was a 42% (5/12) complication rate: three Fassier–Duval rods failed to expand after distal epiphyseal fixation was lost during growth; one Rush rod migrated through the lateral proximal femur cortex with recurrent coxa vara; and one Rush rod migrated proximally and required rod revision. The Fassier technique effectively corrected CV in children with moderate and progressively deforming OI. The deformity correction was maintained in the short term. The complication rate was high, but mainly related to the failed expansion of the Fassier–Duval rods.

Abstract:
