The aim of our study is to examine how teachers and children in preschool relate to and use children’s age in early childhood education. We have chosen to critically analyze our empirical data through three theoretical concepts, categorization, power relations and norms. We have used qualitative methods such as observations and discussions of literature at four municipal preschools to achieve the purpose of our study. We have, amongst others, read research by Prout (2005) and Dolk (2013), who highlights different ways to look on childhood and its construction. Our analysis shows that children

In this thesis, a novel and fast method to compute the dense disparity map of a stereo pair of images is presented. Most of the current stereo matching algorithms are ill suited for real-time matching owing to their time complexity. Methods that concentrate on providing a real-time performance, sacrifice much in accuracy. The presented method, Fast Estimation of Dense Disparity Map Using Pivot Points (FEDDUP), uses a hierarchical approach towards reduction of search space to find the correspondences. The hierarchy starts with a set of points and then it moves on to a mesh with which the edge p

The regulation of the serum triglyceride responses to fat ingestion have been examined in normolipidemic men. To evaluate the existing methods for comparing chylomicron-triglyceride clearance, the oral and intravenous fat tolerance tests and a steady state duodenal perfusion method were compared. Good correlations (r > 0.8) were found between each of these methods. Since the intravenous fat tolerance test is independent of fat absorption, these data suggested that the serum triglyceride response to fat feeding was largely determined by the rate of chylomicron-triglyceride clearance. A sodium-cooled MOX-fueled FBR core concept to improve nuclear proliferation resistance was proposed. First, we set an index for the nuclear proliferation resistance. Another study defined nuclear proliferation resistance with the Pu-238 isotopic ratio considering its higher spontaneous fission rate and decay heat. We tentatively use the total isotope composition ratio of Pu-238 and Pu-240 as a proliferation resistance index in line with the earlier studies. Next, we designed the sodium-c

This straightforwardly enables some direct, fast and consistent calculations by using certain properties of these moments.
