Study 1 evaluated agreement among five respondents using the Functional Analysis Screening Tool (FAST), the Motivation Assessment Scale (MAS) and Questions About Behavioral Function (QABF). Respondents provided ratings for 20 target behaviors exhibited by 10 individuals. At least 4/5 raters agreed on the primary maintaining variable in 80% of cases with the FAST, 70% of cases with the MAS, and 55% of cases with the QABF. An analysis of interrater agreement across multiple respondents on anecdotal assessments and correspondence between functional analysis outcomes was completed. Experiment I evaluated overall agreement among multiple respondents (direct-care staff) on the hypothesized function of each residents (28 adults with mental retardation) problematic behavior using the Motivational Assessment Scale (MAS) and the Functional Analysis Screening Tool (FAST). Most of the current stereo matching algorithms are ill suited for real-time matching owing to their time complexity. The regulation of the serum triglyceride responses to fat ingestion have been examined in normolipidemic men. To evaluate the existing methods for comparing chylomicron-triglyceride clearance, the oral and intravenous fat tolerance tests and a steady state duodenal perfusion method were compared. Good correlations (r > 0.8) were found between each of these methods. Since the intravenous fat tolerance test is independent of fat absorption, these data suggested that the serum triglyceride response to fat feeding was largely determined by the rate of chylomicron-triglyceride clearance. The aim of this work was to compare magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and 3-(TCM) and 4-compartment (FCM) models for the estimation of body fat and changes in fat mass (FM) in man. FM was estimated in 10 obese women by MRI and a TCM based on underwater weighing (UWW) and body water dilution (D<sub>2</sub>O) at the start and end of a 21 day residential weight reducing regimen. Denna kvalitativa intervjustudie har som syfte att undersöka rådande könsnormer och sociala relationer i två klasser i årskurs fem på en skola i södra Stockholm. Metoden för insamling av material har varit fyra gruppintervjuer och sammanlagt har 12 informanter deltagit. Compared to the overnight fasted state, a high carbohydrate (CHO) breakfast 3-4 hours before exercise enhances endurance performance. However, the optimal type or composition of the pre-exercise meal to be consumed is less clear. Glycaemic and insulinaemic responses to a meal play a key role in subsequent metabolism during exercise. The investigations described in this thesis focused on the influence of I) the composition and 2) glycaemic index (GI) of CHO breakfasts 3 hours before exercise on postprandial and exercise metabolism and endurance running capacity.
