Abstract:
Objectives This study is intended to reveal the relationship between Father-Child Play Interaction, Fathers’ Parental Role Belief and Parent-Child Relationships. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of fathers' parental role belief on father-child play interaction, focusing on the mediating effect of parent-child relationships in the relationship between fathers' parental role belief and father-child play interaction.
Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on 467 father of 3, 4 and 5 years old children attending kindergartens and childcare centers. To check the reliability of the questionnaire items, cronbach's α was calculated, and partial correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis were performed. Next, multiple regression analysis proposed by Baron & Kenney(1986) was performed to analyze the mediating effect of father's belief in father's role on father-child play interaction.
Results First, father’s parental role belief had biggest effect on father-child play interaction, and it was followed by parent-child relationships in order. Second, parent-child relationships partially mediated the effect of father’s parental role belief on father-child play interaction. This means that fathers need to recognize their parent-child relationship more positively as well as admit their parental role & beliefs more actively in order to have more frequent play interactions with their children.
Conclusions In order for fathers to have active play interactions with their children, it is necessary to actively recognize fathers' beliefs in parental roles. Active recognition of fathers' parental role belief can increase play interaction through mediating effect path in which fathers positively perceive relationship with their children.

Abstract:
This study aims to identify the influence of father involvement on fathers' perceptions of the well-being status of early childhood children in terms of fathering style in Argomulyo District, Salatiga. This type of research is qualitative research. 136 fathers who participated in this study were selected through purposive sampling techniques based on specific respondent criteria. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires distributed offline to fathers. The data obtained were analyzed through multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of this study showed that father involvement influenced fathers' perceptions of their children's well-being status. However, there was no significant influence between father involvement and father’s perceptions of their children's well-being status when controlling for fathering style. However, father involvement was influenced by fathering style. Based on the father's parenting style, there was a significant difference in the father’s involvement and his perception of the child's well-being status. Father involvement and father's perceptions of the child's well-being status were dominated by an authoritative parenting style. This finding implies that there needs to be promotion and investment to support the improvement of children's well-being through the involvement of fathers, families, schools, and policies that support this.

Abstract:
Previous studies have shown that quality and the quantity of father involvement in education play an important rolein children’s development. The influence of father involvement in education on Chinese children's mental healthstatus still needs further study. To understand the present situation of father involvement in education and its impacton children's mental health, this study will concentrate on the impact of father involvement on the mental healthstatus of primary school students, This study surveyed 1669 primary school students in Yancheng, China. It waspointed out that 45.1% of fathers were not active in children's education, and 25.8% of fathers have not beensufficient time to accompany their children. Children's sex and grade were not associated with father involvement ineducation, which was linked to their father's occupation and education level. Father involvement dramaticallyaffected primary school students' sensitive tendency and impulsive tendency. Father involvement can make childrenmore optimistic and less focus on trifles and suspicious. More father involvement in education leads to better mentalhealth status. These results suggest the importance of increasing father involvement in education in promoting mentalhealth status in primary school students.

Abstract:
The role of the father in the family is its main foundation and unifying force. To emphasize the importance of a father in a child’s upbringing, a roundtable was organized for 9th-grade students of the base school-lyceum and their fathers. The event, titled “Do not rely on your father's status, rely on your own hard work,” began with the performance “Father and Son,” which highlighted the father's moral guidance and wise counsel. During the event, fathers shared their thoughts on parenting and emphasized the importance of encouraging children to pursue knowledge, art, and sports. Additionally, the school psychologist, Zina Kosdavletova, conducted a seminar-training aimed at strengthening cooperation through logic-based questions and games for the fathers. The meeting demonstrated the need to reinforce the father's role in a child’s life and generated opinions on the necessity of holding such events more frequently.

Abstract:
For some fathers the transition to parenthood is an emotional time, affecting their physical and emotional wellbeing. This review aimed to examine fathers' wellbeing needs and support preferences in the first postnatal year, and explore how health visitors can help. A systematic meta-synthesis was conducted and studies published between 2009 and 2019 analysed using Prisma and CASP tools. A total of 15 studies were identified and the following themes extracted: forming an identity as a father; relationships; and emotional/physical wellbeing and father's support preferences. There were five sub-themes: work/home role; supporter/protector role; parental relationship; and father–baby relationship and father/health relationship. It is concluded that emotions relating to role negotiation, self-efficacy and separation/rejection affected wellbeing, and fathers felt ignored and sidelined by health professionals. Support preferences included more knowledge on the postnatal period, father/nurse groups, targeted leaflets and direction to online services. Health visitors need to improve awareness around paternal wellbeing, starting with SCPHN training. Inviting fathers to all appointments or innovative telephone contacts would promote a more father-focused service.

Abstract:
Fulfillment of divorced children: Most fathers do not carry out their obligations to support their children and there are no sanctions for fathers who have carried out these obligations. This is the background to the issues raised, namely what are the legal sanctions for fathers who do not carry out their support obligations towards their children after divorce and what are the provisions on the father's support obligations towards children from the perspective of Islamic law and positive law in Indonesia. This type of research is library research, with primary legal materials and secondary legal materials and then analyzed as expected based on normative descriptive analysis. From the results of this research, it shows that the legal sanctions for fathers who do not support their children after divorce from an Islamic legal perspective have disparity, namely the opinion of Hanafi scholars that the child's previous support becomes the father's debt even though the father is poor, so that by the time the father is able to then father must replace it. However, if the father is capable but refuses or even does not provide support for the child, the judge is obliged to force the father to pay the support. According to the opinion of the Syafi'i Hambali and Maliki Schools, the child's past documents are invalid unless there is a decision from a judge, whereas according to positive law in Indonesia, legal sanctions for a father who neglects his obligations, namely supporting children after divorce, can be subject to civil and criminal law sanctions.

Abstract:
This paper attempts to investigate the causal factors for occupational variation between father and son using Nepalese data from rural context. A well-structured questionnaire schedule was used to collect information from a total of 385 father son pairs in Gajuri rural municipality of Province No 3 in Dhadingdistrict of Nepal. Information was collected from those father and/or son, the senior son of a father who was married at the time of interview and whose father was alive. Three sets of variables were isolated as having an effect on the occupational relationships between father and son; father's characteristics, son’s characteristics and household characteristics. Findings revealed that three fifths of all sons adopted occupations different than their fathers. Chi-square statistics revealed a statistically significant relationship between occupation of father and occupation of son revealing a high level of occupational persistence in between generations. Binary logistic regression revealed that sons of the fathers holding salaried job/business and trades as well as those having wage labour are more likely to catch father’s occupation than the sons of farmers. Among all explanatory measures, sons' own level of education and migration experiences are powerful determinant for whether son adopts occupations different than their fathers or not.

Abstract:
Following divorce or separation, father—child contact is deemed an important influence on child development. Previous research has explored the impact of sociodemographic and attitudinal factors on the amount of contact between fathers and their children following a union dissolution. This article revisits this important question using fathers' reports on a sample of 859 children from newly available survey data. Multilevel random intercept models are used to reassess the influence of child- and father-level factors on the amount of reported contact. Results show that the amount of father—child contact following separation is the product of several factors such as the father's income, conjugal/parental trajectory, and level of satisfaction with existing arrangements.

Abstract:
In this article the author offers a brief examination of the history of fathers as they have been represented in the psychoanalytic tradition. Of particular interest is the way in which the father, as a principal foundational figure in the history, is later eclipsed by the foregrounding of the mother. The author traces the father's presence, absence, and then reappearance in this account. He suggests that the father's eventual return to a central position in psychoanalytic thought is a consequence of Lacan's reinterpretation of Freud's oedipal father. This way of thinking posits the father as a symbolic figure who eludes gender specificity but who plays a key role in the child's separation from the mother and entry into the wider world.

Abstract:
It has been recognized that Western bereavement programs, and the research on which they are based, rely primarily on models of female grief and fail to adequately take into account gender differences, especially men's experiences of bereavement. As a result, in contemporary research, fathers' grief has been studied primarily through the lens of mothers' grief. This comparative approach has lead to the perception, in some bereavement studies, that fathers' experience of grief is less intense and debilitating than that of mothers. This has been reported in studies of infant death, catastrophic accident death, and death from childhood cancer. The study to be discussed examines fathers' experience of bereavement, using both the ethical framework of the moral philosopher Paul Ricoeur, and phenomenological analysis. The findings from a series of interviews conducted with 5 bereaved fathers will be presented. The emergent themes will be discussed, specifically: 1) Bereaved fathers' experiences of social expectation and regulation; 2) bereaved fathers' challenges with issues of morality (for example, what it means to be a good father, a good spouse, etcetera.); 3) bereaved fathers' experiences with bereavement support services. By focusing on the experience of bereaved fathers', my study challenges the common practice of comparing fathers' grief to that of mothers will be avoided. This study is designed to show how the experience of bereaved fathers is gendered and must be examined in relation to social and familial expectations, as well as internalized standards of proper behavior.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects that a man's attitudes towards fathering have on the level of involvement with his children. Of particular interest was whether fathering attitudes moderated some of the more consistent predictors of involvement, such as relationship quality, maternal gatekeeping, mother's and father's employment hours, a man's history with his own father, family structure, and child characteristics. A sample of 2300 men was used to evaluate the effects of fathering attitudes on engagement and warmth among children ages 2 to 8 and 9 to 11. Results indicate an inconsistent main effect between fathering attitudes and the types of involvement among the two age groups. However, moderated multiple regression analysis revealed that, in many instances, fathering attitudes completely mitigated the effect of several of the traditional predictors of involvement. Among the younger group, men with high fathering attitudes maintained high levels of engagement despite poor history with their own father and high levels of work hours, and engagement increased as maternal employment hours increased. Warmth among these men also remained unchanged at high levels of maternal gatekeeping and low levels of relationship quality. In the older group, high father attitudes mitigated the effects of relationship quality and fathers' work hours on warmth. Attitudes did not moderate engagement among the older group.

Abstract:
Igor Sikorsky was one of mankind's greatest aviation pioneers. He designed and flew the world's first multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft, the Russky Vityaz in 1913, and the first airliner, Ilya Muromets, in 1914. After immigrating to the U.S. in 1919, he founded the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and developed large amphibious aircraft for Pan American Airways and the U.S. Army. In 1939, Sikorsky designed and flew America's first helicopter, the VS-300. Most recognized for his accomplishments in aviation, few know that Igor Sikorsky was man of great faith which played a central role in his life and his accomplishments. A deeply religious Russian Orthodox Christian, Sikorsky authored two religious and philosophical books, The Message of the Lord's Prayer and The Invisible Encounter. This paper explores Igor Sikorsky's journey of faith through first-hand accounts of his son, Igor Sikorsky, Jr, a review of his writings and through research conducted at the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center in Philadelphia PA, of Sikorsky's journals and photographs containing a multitude of references to scriptures from the Holy Bible and interpretations that illustrate how Igor's faith and his work were eternally intertwined. Instead of attempting to interpret and summarize Igor's beliefs, we have chosen to use his own words (in italics) drawn from multiple sources, to the maximum extent possible in this writing. Thankfully, Igor did not conceal his faith. It meant as much to him as his vast aviation accomplishments as evidenced by the number of books, papers and public talks he gave on that subject.

Abstract:
Born in 1934 and moved to the Lord in 1982, Father Seraphim Rose carried out his activity against the background of an increasingly fluid world, marked by ideological changes, technological advances and cultural transformations. As a fervent scholar, translator, and ardent monk, Father Seraphim Rose navigated the complexities of modernity, while, passionately advocating for the eternal truths, embedded in Orthodoxy. The text is divided into three sections, each exploring a different aspect of the era. The first section discusses the postwar period, including the economic boom, technological advances, and cultural changes. The second section focuses on the counterculture movement of the 1960s, including its origins, key figures, and influence on American society. The third section explores the religious landscape of the era, including the rise of Eastern spirituality and the decline of traditional christianity. The text also touches on the life and work of Father Seraphim Rose, who was a prominent figure in the Russian Orthodox Church outside of Russia and a defender of traditional christian values. The period after World War II saw significant economic growth and technological advances, which led to changes in American society and culture. The counterculture movement of the 1960s was characterized by a rejection of mainstream values and a search for alternative forms of spirituality and community. Eastern spirituality, including practices such as yoga and meditation, have gained popularity in the United States of America. The Orthodox Church played a significant role in the american society, during this period, with Father Seraphim Rose being a prominent figure. Overall, the text provides a detailed and nuanced exploration of the cultural and historical context of the 1960s in the United States of America, with particular emphasis on the rise of the counterculture and eastern spirituality at the expense of traditional Christianity. Therefore, in order to highlight the subject of this study, we have used the analytical, historical and synthesis method, taking into account both Orthodoxy and the ideologies of that time.

Abstract:
This Evidence Check Rapid Review aims to identify and summarise practices and interventions which support engaging fathers and partners in community and care settings where their child and/or family is receiving care. Through a systematic review of peer reviewed and grey literature, it aims to identify effective interventions and barriers and enablers to implementing effective father-inclusive practices in these settings. Specific settings include antenatal, birthing and community child health settings where children and families receive care from conception to five years of age. Although the review identified gaps in the evidence it concludes that there is evidence for father-inclusive practices in promoting a range of health outcomes for families.

Abstract:
Over the past half-century, fatherhood in Canada has evolved dramatically as men across the country adapt and react to social, economic, cultural and environmental contexts. Throughout this period, men have had diverse employment experiences as they manage their multiple roles inside and outside the family home. These experiences have been impacted by a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) cultural norms and expectations, family status, disability and a variety of demographic characteristics, as well as women’s increased involvement in the paid labour force. While many fathers in previous generations acted exclusively as “traditional” breadwinning father figures, modern fathers are increasingly likely to embrace caring roles and assume more household management responsibilities. In doing so, dads across Canada are renegotiating and reshaping the relationship between fatherhood and work.
