Abstract:
This paper attempts to investigate the causal factors for occupational variation between father and son using Nepalese data from rural context. A well-structured questionnaire schedule was used to collect information from a total of 385 father son pairs in Gajuri rural municipality of Province No 3 in Dhadingdistrict of Nepal. Information was collected from those father and/or son, the senior son of a father who was married at the time of interview and whose father was alive. Three sets of variables were isolated as having an effect on the occupational relationships between father and son; father's characteristics, son’s characteristics and household characteristics. Findings revealed that three fifths of all sons adopted occupations different than their fathers. Chi-square statistics revealed a statistically significant relationship between occupation of father and occupation of son revealing a high level of occupational persistence in between generations. Binary logistic regression revealed that sons of the fathers holding salaried job/business and trades as well as those having wage labour are more likely to catch father’s occupation than the sons of farmers. Among all explanatory measures, sons' own level of education and migration experiences are powerful determinant for whether son adopts occupations different than their fathers or not.

Abstract:
Language has a valuable role in shaping the type of relationships between arguers. The use of language is like double-edged sword in the hand of fathers to shape their type of relationship with their sons. Father-son argumentation could be the real source of increasing a social distance and building barriers between them. The current paper aims at answering the questions whether the social distance between fathers and sons have changed between the past and present? And have old fathers been changed to share their sons’ common ground and wants? The great difference between the old and present fathers is examined in the two novels characterized by a father-son relationship theme namely; “East of Eden” 1952 by John Stainbeck and “The Road” 2006 by Corman McCarthy. The researcher aims at shedding light on the type of relationship between old and present fathers with their sons reflected on their argumentation, how they care about each other face and how much they achieve the audience demand in their argumentation by applying Penelope Brown and Stephen C. Levinson (1978) theory of politeness. It is founded that present fathers have more positive choices in their argumentative politeness strategies whereas old fathers go bald on record by their use of continuous orders, criticism and sometimes insult. Finally, it is concluded that the more audience demand is fulfilled, the less father-son social distance will take place.

Abstract:
In this study, I examine what it means to be a father, a son, and the father-son relationship in three Terentian comedies, the Andria, Self-Tormentor, and Adelphoe. Like the Menandrian originals on which they are based, these plays all employ a marriage plot centring on a young man's efforts to win and or retain his beloved in marriage or a temporary union. In each case, the story (or stories) about the romantic union of a young man and woman takes a back seat to a story about the negotiations between men needed to forge that union. As in Menander's plays, this homosocial orientation invests Terence's marriage plot with a dense network of cultural and ideological concerns. These concerns surface most clearly in the characterisation of the obstacle to the young man's relationship. In the plays under consideration here, the primary obstacle to the marriage or love relationship is the young man's father. In most cases, the fathers only object to their sons having relationships with non-marriageable women when they (the fathers) decide that it is time for their sons to marry. Significantly, the perceived status discrepancy does not operate as an absolute barrier to the young man's romantic relationship in the father's eyes (as in Menander's extant plays and fragments). Rather, the problem arises when the son's desire to remain in the relationship conflicts with his father's desire that he marry a respectable woman. Because the obstacle is framed in this way—as a direct confrontation between the discordant desires of fathers and sons—Terence's marriage plots provide an important window on the ideology of the Roman family and its kinship structure.

Abstract:
Orhan Pamuk combines different mythological genres into The Red Haired Woman and modernizes traditional themes like the father's absence, submission to and rebellion against the father's authority, and fate in the father-son relationship. The theme of the Greek story Oedipus is “killing a father”, and the Persian myth of Rustem and Shihrab is “murder of a son”, with contrasting motives. The lack of a father unites the two narratives, despite their seeming contradictions. We can witness how the novel is born from the myth as the main character Cem's life crossovers with the myths in various ways. Both novels and myths reflect the universal love-hate relationship between father and son, but what is new is that Pamuk reinterprets motifs such as father-son love, conflicts and death through the main characters of modern novels.

Abstract:
The psychoanalytic vision of the father-son relationship, for far too long, remained yoked to patrifocal, patriarchal, phallocentric, and heteronormative biases. Fathers were seen as the paragons of masculinity, providing their sons with rescue and salvation from the sinister specter of enmeshment with and engulfment by mother. Only in the last approximate 25 to 30 years have we seen a significant shift in that vision of fathers begin to occur in psychoanalysis. In this paper, I consider some of the essentials that appear to now define that ever-evolving psychoanalytic vision of fathers. Some ways in which fathers seemingly contribute to boys’ development will be examined, and the roles, goals, and imagos that characterize the father-son relationship during boyhood will be accentuated. This current vision, still very much a work in progress, reflects earnest efforts to contemporize an antiquated and gender biased psychoanalytic perspective and render it relevant for the twenty-first century father, fathering, and father-son relationship. Upending psychoanalytic overemphases on pathology, misery, and negativity, it is an optimistic iconoclasm that challenges and questions tradition, proposes an alternative path to explanatory possibilities and conceptualizations, and above all else, embraces and celebrates “more life,” joy, happiness, health, and positivity in fathering.

Abstract Markus Barth’s book Die Taufe: Ein Sakrament? had an evident and important influence on the development of his father Karl Barth’s theological understanding of the nature and practice of Christian baptism. This essay explores that influence, considers its scope and significance, and suggests in the course of so doing that the relationship between the elder and the younger Barth is a notable factor in what led to the provocative theology of baptism at which Karl Barth arrived in the late, fragmentary volume of the Church Dogmatics.

Abstract:
From eternity, The Father, the one Cause and unique ontological and ontogenetical principle of the Holy Trinity, freely and consciously utters Himself, giving birth to His countenance. In this exceptional relationship of being, the Father Himself is One and bears full paternity within Himself, and that is only in relation to His Only Son, who bears full filiation within Himself, but only in relation to the Father. But the Son, in His own turn, is born of the Father, not being passive whatsoever in regard to the course of the act of birth. Thus, freely, and from His endless love, The Father, outside of time, and giving Himself fully, hypostatizes His existence, His to be, in the Son and the Spirikt.

Abstract:
It has long been accepted that the ancient Chinese ruler–subjects relationship was a metaphorical extension of the father–son relationship, where loyalty and family reverence were considered synonymous. The Confucian classic the Xiaojing is taken as a significant piece of evidence supporting this view. However, based on the annotated version of the Xiaojing discovered in Dunhuang, it is evident that during the Han Dynasty and the Six Dynasties period, Confucian scholars made clear distinctions between father–son relationships and ruler–subjects relationships. They also made a clear differentiation between the moral connotations of loyalty and family reverence. The father–son relationship is a bond of blood, while the ruler–subjects relationship is a bond of duty and appropriateness, meaning that the ethical requirements for the father–son relationship and ruler–subjects relationship are fundamentally different. Therefore, expressions such as “service to ruler with family reverence is loyalty” does not mean to unify loyalty and family reverence, but means that the governor should select people who have already cultivated the virtue of family reverence to become officials because they have learnt how to show respect in their family life.

Abstract:
This study explored the influence family relationships have on HIV-related factors among Hispanic or Latino/a/x Mexican sexual minority cisgender males in San Antonio, TX, US. A total of 15 young adults (7 people living with HIV; PLWH) ages 21–30 completed a semi-structured interview. Data were transcribed verbatim and analyzed using thematic analysis. The following themes emerged: (1) family support; (2) mother-son relationships; (3) father-son relationships; (4) sibling support; (5) family marginalization of sexual minorities; and (6) internalized homophobia. People who reported being HIV negative were more likely to have a prominent mother-son relationship, strong sense of family, supportive siblings, and family acceptance as a sexual minority. PLWH were more likely to report a weak sense of family, being raised in a maternal-led household, and less likely to have a relationship with their father and siblings. Marginalization among participants regardless of HIV status included exposure to religious rhetoric stigmatizing sexual minorities and fathers’ reinforcing Mexican traditional gender norms. In addition to encountering homophobia, PLWH were further marginalized by family members due to their HIV status. The findings suggest a need for greater attention to examining the impact of familial support of Hispanic or Latino/a/x Mexican sexual minority cisgender males as young adults with or at risk of HIV.

Abstract:
Webtoon is a popular digital-comic media. For this thesis, I will analyze a thriller Webtoon Bastard because it has a great theme, plot, drawing style, and good reviews. The story focuses on the conflicts between a father (Dongsoo Seon), who is also a murderer, and his son (Jin Seon), which inspires me to take the failure in a father-and-son’s relationship as my topic. Therefore, I want to explore what factors trigger father-and-son’s conflicts and how those factors lead to the failure in the father-and-son’s relationship. I apply the theory of father-and-son’s conflict. I want to show Dongsoo’s and Jin’s different ways of thinking on concepts of happiness and love, parental roles, and parental authority create conflicts because of no emotional bond and agreement related to familism values, discrepancy between expectations and reality, and no room for adolescent’s independence. In conclusion, the complexity in this relationship can attract Webtoon’s readers. Keywords: father and son, single parent, adolescent, conflicts in the family, webtoon

Abstract:
The biggest obstacle to the failure of the father to represent the Fatherhood of God is the fall of man into sin and the loss of the image of the perfect Father in man. Humans fail to follow His will, including in living out their fatherly role as a father. The Father provided His only begotten Son, Christ for fathers. Thus, only through Christ, the Father returns His perfect image to fathers. When a father exemplifies Christ’s relationship with His Father in heaven, he can represent the image of the Fatherhood of God to His children. Only through Christ, fathers can play their part in the family system according to the will of their Father in heaven. This study uses an exposition method to several passages in the Bible that represent theological views of the Fatherhood of God towards His chosen people. This theological study is the basis for implementing paternity in Christian families today.

Abstract:
While the relationship between fathers and sons, real or metaphorical, is still a dominant paradigm among classicists, this paper considers the rival contribution of Roman sons-in-law to the processes of collaboration and succession. It discusses the tensions, constraints, and obligations that soceri–generi relationships involved, then claims a significant role for sons-in-law in literary production. A new category is proposed here: “son-in-law literature,” with texts offered as recompense for a wife or her dowry, or as substitute funeral orations. Cicero and Tacitus are two authors for whom the relationship played a key role in shaping realities and fantasies of advancement. The idealized in-law bonds of De Amicitia, Brutus, and De Oratore are set against Cicero's intellectual aspirations and real-life dealings with a challenging son-in-law, while Tacitus' relationship to Agricola can be seen to affect both his historiographical discussions of father–son-in-law relationships and the lessons he drew from them about imperial succession.

Abstract This paper incorporates indirect reciprocal behavior in the context of bequeathing decisions into an otherwise standard OLG model. We provide conditions for the existence of a unique steady state with operative bequests. Contrary to standard OLG models, we show that taking into account such behavioral interactions allows one to rationalize both an increasing and U-shaped pattern of the inheritance to GDP ratio over time, consistent with recent empirical evidence. Moreover, the model predicts a nonlinear (U-shaped) relationship between the size of an unfunded social security program and the long-run stock of per capita capital, which in turn provides a novel explanation of the inconclusive empirical findings on the relationship between social security, savings and long-run growth. Ricardian equivalence is shown to hold in a special case of the model.

Abstract:
The Fourth Gospel lays great emphasis on seeing, on seeing the work of the Father in the work of Jesus, on seeing the Father's glory, and even on seeing the Father himself in the Son. The article explores the verses in which seeing Jesus include seeing God or Father (J 6,62; J 1,18;12,45; 14,9). The Fourth Gospel limits “seeing God” to Jesus alone (1,18; 6,45-46). His vision of God bas unique character because only the Son has seen the Father. The disciples see Jesus, or God as manifested in and through Jesus (14,9). Johannine concept of seeing operates on two different levels. The first is that of physical seeing experienced by those who actually saw Jesus and works he did. The second level is that o f spiritual seeing, or faith. Some who physically saw also went on to see by responding in faith that means seeing involves faith to the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. To see the Father in the Son is to see the Son and so to come to perceive or understand their relationship and their unity.

Abstract:
The relationship between the Father and the Son in the Trinity can be described in terms of “eternal subordination,” but it is unhelpful to do so. The New Testament uses the language of subordination with respect to this relationship only in 1 Corinthians 15:28, and then with a very specific act in mind. The word also has Arian connotations that are best avoided. The submission of the Son to the Father is a voluntary act of mutual love, not something imposed or made inevitable by their personal identities. The divine analogy for the marital bond is that of Christ and the church, not of the Father and the Son.

This article analyzes the father-son relationship in Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s latest film The Wild Pear Tree (2018), which tells the story of a son who desires a life as unlike his father’s narrow, provincial life as possible, only to find himself following in his father’s footsteps almost against his will. Drawing upon Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis, this article examines the film as an oedipal drama that portrays the predicament of a son who grapples with an ineffectual, humiliated father that fails to embody the paternal function. It undertakes to show how the father-son conflict eventually culminates in the father’s transformation from an object of contempt into an identificatory ideal for his son, who becomes heir to a legacy of disillusionment and thwarted hopes.

Abstract:
Background: The main aim of this study was to quantify the associations between parents’ and children’s physical activity by age, gender, and the day of the week on the basis of a pedometer-measured step count (SC). Methods: The sample comprised data from 4-to 16-year-old children and their parents from the Czech Republic (1102 mother-child dyads and 693 father-child dyads). The parents and their children wore the Yamax SW200 pedometer during seven days of monitoring. Results: The strongest SC association was found between mothers and daughters aged 4–7.9 years on weekdays (rp = 0.402; p < 0.01) and at weekends (rp = 0.577; p < 0.01). In children aged 8–16, the parent-child association is gender-specific, with the father-son relationship being dominant, especially at weekends (weekend SC: fathers-sons8–11.9 y rp = 0.416, p < 0.01; fathers-sons12–16 y rp = 0.443, p < 0.01). An increase of 1000 steps in the fathers (mothers) is associated with an increase of more than 400 (200) steps in their sons (daughters). Conclusions: This study confirms a strong parent-child SC relationship in children younger than eight years of age. In older children, the parent-child SC association is gender-specific and dominated by the father-son relationship, particularly on weekends. The SC associations that are revealed can be used for the development of physical activity programs for adolescents.

Abstract:
Shakespeare and his works are widely analyzed and studied, however, you can always find something to discuss about or study, since Shakespeare’s works are always challenging and attractive. This time my focus is on the father figures that appear in some of his greatest works, like King Hamlet and Polonius in Hamlet, Barbantio in Othello, Lord Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, King Lear and Gloucester in King Lear, Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing, Shylock in The Merchant of Venice, etc. Actually, this paper aims to give an insight and compare the major characters as fathers. It covers an analysis of father-son relationship and the father-daughter relationship, fathers’ attitude towards their children, the influence they have in the life of their children, their love and authority, expectations, their image in the eyes of their children and so on. Each and every one of these characters has a specific relationship with their child; they are all authoritative, some more and some less, they are proud and they influence their children’s lives by accepting their decisions or not, by requesting very important and delicate tasks from them, by deciding themselves for their children, etc. Focusing on the issue of authority, power and ownership, the article aims at showing how stereotypical social and gender roles resonate with various political and social contexts of power. However, the paper will also analyze the dreams, duty, as well as defiance children have, show or express towards their fathers. A special importance in this paper is given to the relationships between fathers and daughters, having in mind the social position women had at that time, the role they had in their families etc. In these relationships, it is clearly that there is more likely to find a tyrannical possessiveness in excess of normal parental affection in the father's behaviour—or, as the case may be, a capriciousness, coldness, or disloyalty unwarranted by the daughter's exemplary conduct, which in fact results in the creation or not of a father figure in these plays. Namely, it is clear that Shakespeare depicted the struggle and entanglement of a father character who realizes the lonely emptiness he has to face after fulfilling the happiness of his child. As I mentioned, no matter the uniqueness of these relationships that are presented between parents and children, we can find some similarities as well, as many of the plays depict the same situations but with similar circumstances. Consequently, I hope that this paper will be just a small contribution in the field of literature and that future scholars will find it useful in their further studies and analysis of Shakespeare’s works, which is really a never-ending ‘struggle.’

AbstractThis article examines the startling attention accounts of Eastern Han (24-220 CE) mourning give to depictions of the mother-son bond. Such attention can be explained in terms of the rise of cultural stereotypes about the bonds between mothers and sons, as well as fathers and sons, from the first century BCE. Whereas elite thinkers and statesmen claimed that the relationship between fathers and sons was more analogous to official duty, they regarded the relationship between mother and son as emotional, personal (si), and close (qin). As such, the mother-son bond came to represent an ideological alternative to the early Han ethos of official service, an ethos epitomized by the slogan, "duty to lord and father" (junfu zhi yi).

Abstract:
The quality and quantity of mother and child attachment have often been discussing. Nevertheless, how the quality and quantity of the relationship between father and son, especially in shaping the child's personality is still rarely found. In the life of a child, sometimes role, the father is not felt because his figure is busy outside the home. Also provides an assumption that the father does not influence raising and educating children. The context of Islamic education in the family, the figure of the father, is the spiritual basis that underlies the role of parents in educating their children. A person's character formed early on. In this case, the role of the family is indeed very influential. The education of the father in the family is critical and is a fundamental pillar of character building for a child. From a child's father learns, hardened, brave, responsible, and easy to get along with the outside world. This study aims to present the role of fathers in shaping the character of children in terms of the study of texts and contexts through the field of psychology in Islamic education. The contextual study presents the latest research that proves the influence of the father in many ways for children and terms of the text of this study will present the primary sources of guidance for Muslim life, namely the Qur'an and the Hadith. So the implications given are not only normative but grounded to be able to broaden understanding and add new constructs for the implementation of the father and son relationship.

This essay discusses the identity of Jesus as the Son of God according to Luke 3:21-22. By using the historical-critical method, the author intends to underline the main message of Luke 3:21-22 that witnesses Jesus Christ as the Son of God. His identity comes from God Himself. At the baptism in the Jordan river, God declared before many people that Jesus was His beloved Son. The identity of Jesus as the Son of God reveals a special relationship between Jesus and His Father. The relationship is not a biological relationship between father and son, but a divine one. Jesus is the Son of God who was anointed to bring salvation to mankind.

This study aims to understand and find out how the marriage guardian is determined for children born as a result of a relationship Wath'i syubhat, be it a relationship Wath'i syubhat because of the contract and/or relationship Wath'i syubhat due to actions, as well as the legal consequences of having a biological father who is the child's marital guardian suspicious. Indeed, in Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage in article 43 paragraph (1) it is explained that: "illegal children only have a civil relationship with their mother and their mother's family". But in context Wath'i syubhat of course there are differences. In Wath'i syubhat, children born in this case can still have lineage with his biological father, and has the same rights as the rights of children born in a normal contractual relationship, such as a biological father being able to become guardian for his daughter from Wath'i syubhat. Child's marriage guardian watha' syubhat different from the marriage guardian of an adulterous child. Judging from the way it is mixed, if...watha’ syubhat there was a mix-up due to a misconception that the man and woman were a legal couple. While adultery sometimes there is an agreement or mutual consent, but they realize that the man and the woman have no one to legalize the intercourse. So the guardian marries the childwatha’ syubhat that's the person whogive away himself (biological father) if the child was born after six months afterdukhul (intercourse).

Abstract:
The six relatives of Myeongrihak belong to each of the ten provinces, and they form a win-win and mutual restraint relationship. In Myeongrihak, a saju is interpreted based on the ten-star logic of the six relatives. However, it is not easy to interpret the reason for the formation of a mutual restraint relationship between relatives. For this reason, consequential interpretations are rampant. Against this background, this study attempts to reinterpret the reason why husband and wife, father and son, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law mutual restraint relationship as an ideological approach. Through this, the purpose of this study is to present consistent interpretation standards and to lay the foundation necessary for resetting the ten stars of each relative in social change. As a research method, the mutual restraint relationship between relatives was interpreted based on the ‘duty’ that social ideology requires of individuals. The results of the study are as follows. The wife was set up as a property between couples because, under patriarchal ideology, obligations such as giving birth to a son after marriage and raising parents-in-law were given. Therefore, a husband who controls a wife based on patriarchal ideology can be interpreted as a management entity. And the presence of a son between a father and a son imposes an obligation to raise the father as the head of the family. In a patriarchal society, if it is not implemented, the head of the household loses authority. Therefore, the son who imposes an obligation to raise the father is a manager, and the father is wealthy. In the relationship of a mother-in-law, the mother-in-law imposes obligations on her daughter-in-law through her son. Without a medium (son), the daughter-in-law’s obligation to foster is extinguished. Therefore, the mother-in-law is wealthy and the daughter-in-law is a manager. The results of this study are meaningful in establishing a consistent standard (obligation according to ideology) for the interpretation of the mutual restraint relationship.

Abstract:
The decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia No.46/PUU-VIII / 2010 dated 17 February 2012, granted the judicial review of Article 43 (1) of Law No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage by deciding that the article should read "Children who are born outside of marriage just had a civil relationship with her mother and her mother's family as well as with men as a father who can be proved based on science and technology and / or evidence, has blood ties according to law, including a civil relationship with his father's family". This Indonesian Constitutional Court's decision bring Juridical consequence that illegitimate children not only have a legal relationship with her mother, but also has a legal relationship with the father (biological) and his father's family, as long as it is proven with science and technology. The Constitutional Court's decision is a starting point in the legal protection of illegitimate children, namely the "right alignment" between the illegitimate child with the legitimate son. Illegitimate children have the rights to demand their civil rights toward their father (biological) as the same rights obtained by the legitimate son. How To Cite: Purwaningsih, S. (2016). Abstract:
The classic theistic doctrine of an immutable God, unaffected by anything outside of God and apathetically incapable of suffering, underpins many atonement theories which project only the suffering of Jesus at the cross. That view is heavily dependent upon the continuing acceptance of the theological paradox of the immutable divine Father and the suffering divine Son. This essay argues that this view is too narrowly christological, lacking in theological context and unsupported by the New Testament witness to the unique relationship and unity of purpose in action of the Father and the Son. It further argues that when that narrow christology is contextualised by the theology of the New Testament witness a picture emerges of God the Father united in suffering love with God the Son at the cross to redeem creation from the effects of sin. Additionally it demonstrates that divine action in Christ’s resurrection and exaltation, as explicitly described within the New Testament witness, strengthens the hypothesis that both the Father and the Son willingly undertook the sacrificial suffering necessary to achieve their unity of purpose.

Abstract:
The journey of living in a household does not always go as it should. If the household has a condition that is no longer aligned, then there is most likely a dispute that leads to divorce. Often divorce occurs because the father doubts his son,or because his wife commits adultery. When this happens, the husband can swear li'an which results in breaking the marriage and the relationship with his son. This study intends to examine the legal consequences of a child in the event of divorce due to li'an oath when the allegations of adultery are not proven to be true. This Research method uses normative juridical. The results showed that if it turns out that the swearing statement uttered by the husband is not proven to be true, then the divorce becomes void. Li'an's divorce was decent by his father's son as a result of li'an's divorce. The son is returned to his father, so that he again raises the rights and obligations between the child and the father.

Abstract:
The logion of Matt 11.27 (// Luke 10.22) – ‘All things have been handed over to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him’ – has long been considered a ‘Johannine meteorite in the Synoptic sky’ and, after fierce exegetical battles, a sort of ‘foreign body’ in both Matthean and Lukan theological projects. This paper intends to question this assumption on the basis of recent works both on the historical Jesus and on Synoptic theology. It suggests that this verse not only fits very well with the theological and literary project of the Synoptics’ authors but can also shed some light on Jesus’ theology of creation. The way Jesus articulates his own special relationship to ‘his father’ with the human relationship of God's children to ‘their father’ is coherent with the theology implied by this logion.

Abstract:
The early church believed that Jesus Christ is the resurrected Son of God and the Savior who is inseparably and incomparably united with the Father. However, faith in the Trinity became problematic when Christianity entered the realm of ancient Greek thought. In the 4th century AD, there were heretics called Arianism and semi-Arianism, Pneumatomachoi. The followers of Arianism did not recognize the Son's relationship with God the Father. The Pneumatomachoi, on the other hand, did not believe in the attribution of the Holy Spirit to God the Father and the Son. St. Athanasius, a member of the Council of Nicene I, sought to defend the inerrancy of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit from the dangers of the heretics of Arianism and semi- Arianism. St. Athanasius in the face of Arianism asserted that the Son was not created, but born. Thus, God the Father and the Son are one. Then, confronting Semi-Arianism, St. Athanasius said the Holy Spirit is one with the Father and the Son and is not created. The Holy Spirit comes from the Son. Dei Verbum art.2-4 also states that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one as taught by St. Athansius.

Abstract:
AbstractThere are limited studies investigating gender differences within the father–child and mother–child relationships with regard to social support provisions within these relationships. This study aimed to explore gender unity in children's and parents' perceptions of social support within the parent–child relationship. The participants included 91 families who completed measures of social support satisfaction and social support effectiveness. Results were contrary to the gender unity assumption. Findings indicated that mothers and fathers provide different types of support to their children regardless of their child's sex. Further, this study demonstrated the importance of father–child interactions and the need to further investigate the types of support fathers provide their children. This study explored gender differences in social support perceptions within the parent–child relationship. It investigated if mothers and fathers perceive the support they provide their children with is differentiated according to whether their child is a son or a daughter (i.e., gender unity). In this study, gender unity relates to whether parents consider themselves to be more effective in their support provisions to their same-sex child than to their opposite-sex child. Moreover, gender unity also pertains to whether children are more satisfied with the support provided by their same-sex parent than their opposite-sex parent. It is therefore important to define social support in order to understand it within the context of the parent-child relationship.

Abstract:
In this article, the challenges of carrying out life story interview research on the adult sons of problem-drinking fathers will be discussed. Earlier studies have shown that parents’ problem drinking can disturb family life and be harmful in various ways to children. In the case of a problem-drinking father and his son, aspects of the father-son relationship and of the father as a male role model also assume major importance. Consequently, fathers’ drinking may continue to be a sensitive and a painful topic for their sons in adulthood. Moreover, several studies indicate that recruiting young men as a focus group for interview study is complicated. In addition, family matters are often perceived as something private, not to be talked about or shared with outsiders. For these reasons the life story interview method can be problematic for the researcher interested in collecting and interpreting interview data on sons’ childhood experiences. In my study, both finding interviewees, carrying out interviews on a sensitive topic and interpreting the data “truthfully” were challenging tasks presenting a number of ethical considerations. The data used in the study consist of 21 life story interviews with young Finnish men aged 21-42. While these young men were growing up, their fathers were problem drinkers. In the interviews the young men produced narratives or stories about their lives from an adult perspective. Thus narrative analysis is suggested to be applied in analysing the interviews.

Abstract:
Abstract Research shows that midlife children still rely on their parents for emotional and tangible support, which has implications for their mental health. Little is known about how these dynamics change when a parent enters the early stage of dementia or memory loss. One characteristic that may be important for these dynamics is the relationship-type (daughter-mother (n= 82), daughter-father (n= 29), son-mother (n=17), son-father (n= 14)). As part of a larger study, adult children 18 years of age and older (n= 142) completed self-report surveys including measures of emotional and tangible support seeking from their parent (Feeney, 2004), the 10-item CESD (Orme et al., 1986), the 12-item Zarit Burden Inventory (Bédard et al., 2001), and the PANAS (Watson et al., 1988). Results showed that tangible and emotional support seeking levels were low across all dyad-types, with no differences between groups. There was a trend for depressive symptoms (F= 2.559, p= .058) showing more in daughter-father than in son-mother dyads. Daughter-father dyads were the only group meeting the depression cut-off score. There were significant differences for burden (F= 3.377, *p= .020) with more burden in daughter-mother compared to son-father dyads. For the PANAS (F= 2.926, *p= .036), there was more negative affect in daughter-father compared to daughter-mother dyads. Results suggest that the relationship-type of the adult child and parent matters for mental health in the early stages of memory loss. This has implications for dyadic interventions helping adult children and their parents cope in the early stages of the dementia caregiving journey.

In this satudy the author discusses the concept of the Son of God which is applied to the person of Jesus Christ in the study of Apologetics. This topic is controversial because it often distors theological understanding as if the Christian faith teaches that God has biological children and this creates a theological misunderstanding. This sometimes understood by non-Christian.Therefore, the author will use the study of literature in research in order to explain the phenomenon under study. This study shows that the concept of the Son of God is not a concept that means the biological son of God. But the concept of the son of God is a concept that has meaning: first, Jesus is equal to God the Father. Second, Jesus Christ is the unique Son of God as well as having a personal relationship with the Father, so that it is the Son who reveals the entire existence of the Father. who has uniquely revealed the exixtence of the Father.

Abstract:
Islamic law still gives a portion of reason to man, therefore man still has to establish laws based on the Qur'an and Hadith on problems that do not exist Nas and the law clearly. It is these interpretations that are the root of dissent among scholars. One of the important themes in the study of Islamic family law is the adultery of children. The scholars agree that the adulterous child's nasab is cut off from the man and is only connected to the mother's path, but so the scholars are sincere in the matter of determining the adulterous child's nasab by the biological father through the ilhaq (confession of the child). According to Abu Zahrah, adulterous children do not have a sexual relationship with a man as a biological father. But an adulterous child can be recognized as a biological father through the ilḥāq method, provided that the biological father does not explicitly suggest that the child he recognizes is the result of adultery. The consequence is a relationship of mutual support, inheritance relations, guardian relationships and other laws.
