Full textAccording to literature, in Senegal, the migration was a man phenomenon. Until the beginning of the 1980th, the female migration from Senegal was passive. Indeed, women were just invited to follow their husbands. However, since a decade, more women enter in the migratory streams. In fact, they migrate independently and on long distances to obtain jobs for their and their native families needs. Nowadays, women begin to have, due to their status migrants, a worker identity which influences their own identities and which can be a cause of changes in their existences and roles into their families (financial independency is a main condition of migrant personal autonomy). Due to its patriarchal aspect, the Senegalese society punishes the ones who want to take away from their traditional roles and status by loneliness and the power of the social control causes failure of break attempts. Then, migrant women, by choosing international migration, redefine social relations. Thus, since the 1980th, the female migration, from passive migration, becomes an active migration. The female individual international migration from Senegal began by city (Wolofs were firstly concerned) in the before middle of 1980th, to extend the phenomenon to rural population. Nowadays, it becomes a society fact due to it s tendency to be generalized to all ethnic and religious groups. This increase of the female participation in the Senegalese international migration is maybe a consequence of different problems such as traditional values erosion and father or husband authority loss, but also by the Senegalese economical crisis. Moreover, the socio-cultural (mentality evolution) and educational (increase of the female learning level) change in Senegal since the independence. The goal of this thesis is to explain these different evolutions in social, economical and cultural points of view. A study of the causes and consequences of the female migration is proposed. The global (in France and Senegal) social structure of the migration is presented. This work opens a new investigation field of the international migration

Our work consisted of studying if the basin of attraction of a chain of holomorphic contractions is equivalent to Ck. Our proposed method permitted establishing new results which generalizes all known results till nowadays. For this purpose, we proved a linearization theorem of Poincaré for chains and a perturbed Poincaré-Dulac theorem as well

Full textThe purpose of this memoir is to study the work of Fatou Diome, The Belly of the Atlantic. Diome sends a message to young Africans: to take responsibility and dignity play an important role in the work. The theme we will deal with is the aesthetics of mirage. She is building a mirage around immigration and we will show what she is doing to get her message across. Our work is composed of two main parts: The construction of the mirage and the destruction of the myth and an intermediate part devoted to the in-between worlds: the Atlantic Ocean that the author personifies by attributing it a belly.

Full textThe purpose of this essay is to analyze the condition and conception of women in Fatou Diome's novel Le Ventre de l’Atlantique. This analysis is done in light of the work of several African women writers. Fatou Diome evokes and denounces the position of the women on the island of Niodior through many topics such as submission, forced marriage, infertility, polygamy, patriarchal society, traditional versus modern woman, freedom, women as objects as victims of customs and traditions.

Our purpose is to analyze those discrepancies by trying to show up them. The results of our study allowed us to testify the authors concerns which desire is to rebuild that old myth of immigration. Fatou Diome, by demystifying Europe, immigration will be no longer perceived as the bulwark of the poverty troubles.

Full textThis work aims at dispalying the language mechanisms used by Daniel Biyaoula, Fatou Diome and Léonora Miano in their novels in order to convey the meaning. It higens on the discourse analysis. The work of fiction lies a diversity of clues that the enunciation underlines and helps better examine the organization. Therefore, our study is divided into parts. The first theme is, « The scene of enunciation: pattern indicative of the functioning of society ». It analyzes the elements of speech in connection with the social, cultural, literary and political context of Africa and France. It appears from this that the characters are subjected by customary, religious and cultural practrice updated in the space in the novel. The second part is entitled « The enunciative registration method of the characters in the textual frabric » and it is particularly interested in communication devices that determine the characteristics of thecharacters. From language elements, this section proposes to see from the organization of textual structures, how the enunciation defines the characters

Full textThe news of identity remains tied to disciplinary fields like sociology, anthropology, social psychology, history, linguistics. In the literary field, the thematic network around human existence Africa built the notion of identity. The thematic approaches are different, but the differences result from the concern of authors, also parallel visions that differ; should be added style which is renewed for a writer to another. For these creators, the novel is like a huge symbolic universe, each artist can build at its own tastes, his fiction, and build a handwriting. These authors do not have the same facts, and they do not address the same way the embarrassment of identity. We wanted to understand, through a thesis, "fortune" literary writings on African identity. This desire to clarify the issue of the identity of African writing, leads us to more precisely, analysis of identity according to the procedures and imagination of three African writers: Valentin Yves Mudimbe, and Eugene Ebodé Fatou Diome. Our feature is not only to integrate writing in the theme of identity, but also to study its evolution from the speech of women, especially when it is an intellectual. The focus of our topic is based on the relationship between African identity and writing modern fiction. Basically, this study could lead us to trace the history of African literature, because it has created bonds of identity with language, spatial and temporal texts being insular

Full textThe object of this study is to explore the « imaginative geography » in the novel Le ventre de l’Atlantique, written by Fatou Diome. The concept of « imaginative geography » describes relations of spatial domination and the construction of the « Other », entirely different from « us » (Saïd, 1978). The two countries in the novel, France and Senegal, are analysed as two irreconcilable spheres, associated with oppositions such as we – the Other, individualism – collectivism, rationality – superstition. Two spatial images are discussed in this study: the island of Niodior in Senegal and the Atlantic Ocean. The isolation of Niodior reinforces the separation into two opposed spheres, while the Atlantic Ocean constitutes an element charged with magical forces, connected to life and death. Referring to the idea of hybridity, the novel also presents alternative spaces and identities, transgressing the colonial structure.

Full textOur subject of reflection consisted in thinking of what makes link between the French-speaking literature of subsaharian Africa and the Antilles, in addition to the history. We dealt with the writing strategies deployed by the authors, to stand out, to reveal their existence. On the basis of the French word “marronnage”, taking its name from Spanish “Cimarron” used to qualify this historical phenomenon related to slavery, we started to think about its literary transposition. The literary mythologizing of the Maroon by authors such as Eugène Dayot, Louis-Timagène Houat, and more recently Glissant, has enabled to develop aesthetics of the survival, to value the identity of the Marron, herald of the Antillean people, in the resistance to slavery. The main part of our work was about the extension of this theme of the marronnage to the colonial and postcolonial periods, by setting as postulate the hypothesis of the existence of a form of intellectual marronnage as foundation of negro-African aesthetics, established by the forerunners of the Negritude, Senghor and Césaire, whose most original but often unknown work was the conquest of a language of the negritude. The French-speaking contemporary writers of subsaharian Africa, for instance Alain Mabanckou and Fatou Diome, in a context of an internationalist dynamics and a literary space conditioned by the diktats of an eurocentrist criticism, applied a form of ( trans ) esthetic marronnage, but also with a doubled “linguistic surconscience”, by developing strategies intended for subversively setting at the heart of the language the print of a claimed abnormality, as only means to make their identity known

Full textENGLISH ABSTRACT: A discrete dynamical system is a pair (X, cf;) comprising a non-empty set X and a map cf; : X ---+ X. A study is made of the effect of repeated application of cf; on X, whereby points and subsets of X are classified according to their behaviour under iteration. These subsets include the JULIA and FATOU sets of the map and the sets of periodic and preperiodic points, and many interesting questions arise in the study of their properties. Such questions have been extensively studied in the case of complex dynamics, but much recent work has focussed on non-archimedean dynamical systems, when X is projective space over some field equipped with a non-archimedean metric. This work has uncovered many parallels to complex dynamics alongside more striking differences. In this thesis, various aspects of the theory of non-archimedean dynamics are presented, with particular reference to JULIA and FATOU sets and the relationship between good reduction of a map and the empty JULIA set. We also discuss questions of the finiteness of the sets of periodic points in special contexts.

Full textHow can we consider ourselves African in the twenty-first century when we are both the heirs of a disguised history and willing to go beyond the stereotyped imaginaries inherited from it? This question suggests that the colonial inheritance, precisely the "Negro reason", which is composed of two distinct approaches, namely "the Negro's Western consciousness" and "the Negro's negro consciousness", is submitted to criticism. That criticism – allegedly "objective'' – advocates an "in-common" humanism that transcends the "Western abstract universalism" which had placed Europe at the centre of the world. Several discourses that converge on a common purpose reveal a writing that is based on the deconstruction of the Western representations and stereotyped cultural imaginaries. They investigate the Africa-World relationship and the concept of identity taking into account the historical evolution of societies from this continent. Most of the literary essays and fictions by Achille Mbembe, Alain Mabanckou, Leonora Miano, Celestin Monga and Fatou Diome show that the race, the Negro and the word "Africa" are factories that were mobilized for the Atlantic trade. This process of putting the African otherness in fiction is still current. Indeed, it demonstrates that Africans' conditions today would be closely linked to the colonial past. A poetic and socio critical analysis of these texts, by highlighting cross-studies of these works which compare different angles, appeared necessary. In so far as the interruption of African independences caused by the former colonial powers in complicity with their African allies named the "social plagues" operating daily in Africa and the ever-increasing African immigration towards Western countries, indicate that the relationships between Africa and the Westerners in particular seem neither serene nor "equitable" yet. According to these writers, the African identity – in which they are interested in and which they consider as flexible data – has been nourished by the multiple encounters of Africa with the West mainly; thus giving birth to an inclusive Africanity: suitable to the opening of Africa to the world and the integration of the world into Africa

Full textControl of mixed lubrication conditions is a complex challenge to meet since it requires understanding of several coupled phenomena: fluid flow between rough surfaces, elasto-plastic deformation of asperities, surface wear. The goal of this study is to propose an approach of mixed lubrication conditions in the context of ICE bearings. The first part gives an overview of key theoretical and numerical modeling dedicated to the analysis of bearings in hydrodynamic and mixed conditions. The second chapter is dedicated to the phenomenon of flow between two rough surfaces. Starting from the model proposed by Cheng and Patir, a new definition of flow factors is proposed. This model takes into account the direction of surface textures. Several parametric calculations have identified selection criteria for rough surfaces used to determine the new flow factors coefficients. The purpose of Chapter 3 is to detail three existing statistical contact models of rough interface asperities. Several comparisons permit to extract the advantages and disadvantages of each model and especially to see their applications in the study of mixed lubrication in ICE bearings. To a better understanding of their limits, the statistical models were compared to a deterministic finite element model. Chapter 4 is dedicated to the study of wear. Three wear models based on Archard's law are detailed. Finally, the different flow, contact and wear models are integrated in a numerical prediction tool and used to simulate the behavior of a big-end connecting rod bearing

Além destes dispositivos, a interpretação do art.

Full textThis is a Creative Writing project, therefore it starts with a fictional narrative: Just the Title’s Missing (yes, this is the title), about which I will not offer any information because there are some readers who don’t like to know anything before reading; and because this is an abstract and not a book flap; and because some currently believe that it doesn’t matter what the author has to say about their book. But, even so, I would like to say that I not only see this project as a narrative but also as research into themes that are dear to me in the production of fiction and in the observation of the world. Just the Title’s Missing is followed by the essay The Boxed Writer – Or Who Wants to Be A Writer in Brazil and Other Questions for Characters Who Don’t Exist. This essay starts with my observation of some of the peculiarities of the character Edmundo Dornelles, the protagonist of Just the Title’s Missing. Such peculiarities reflect upon being a writer in Brazil, about this Boxed Writer image that I suggest and about other themes within the Brazilian literary field of the twenty-first century.

Full textThere is no tax without law. There is no fact that generates tax obligation without law. The tax relationship between State and individual only has to be established at the time of occurrence of that generator fact, that particular situation, drawn to that tax. The exact notion about the generator fact sets the understanding of the moment the main tax obligation arises; the clarity of visualization of individuals regarded as subjects of the tax relationship etc. The generator fact marks, in time and space, the birth of the obligation to pay tax. The occurrence verification of the generator tax occurs through releases. The release declares the tax obligation, identifies the taxpayer, calculates the amount of tax due and formats the tax credit. The generator fact is the beginning. The release is the means. The credit, the end. The power to tax is limited by the several constitutional principles of tax, most of them, listed in Article 150 of the Federal Constitution in force. We address here the principles of legality and the capacity to pay taxes. About the presumed generator fact, art. 150, paragraph 7°/ CF, we conclude some discrepancy with the magnum values of the legal certainty, the no surprise and the ability contributory, to name a few. The Tax Law`s general rules are countered. The presumed generator fact is incompatible with the Theory of Fact Generator. Keywords: Generator fact. Constitution. Principles.
O lançamento declara a obrigação tributária, identifica o sujeito passivo, calcula o montante do tributo devido e dá forma ao crédito tributário.

Full textAlthough haemolytic factor is known to be putative virulence factor contributing to pathogenicity in Candida species, the haemolytic activity of Candida tropicalis and its expression still poor understood. In this study we analyzed the secretion of a haemolytic factor from 16 isolates of C. tropicalis isolated from various clinical sites of infection (urine, blood, buccal mucosa, sputum, nail and vaginal mucosa). All 16 C. tropicalis isolates exhibited both beta-haemolysis (complete lysis of the erythrocytes) with an outer ring of alpha-haemolysis (partial lysis of the erythrocytes). The activity of a haemolytic factor in the culture supernatant of C. tropicalis was also analyzed. Similarly to found in plate assays, there were no significant differences (P>0.05) in the haemolytic activity amongst C. tropicalis isolates. Furthermore, haemolytic activity was neither inhibited by heat treatment (100°C) nor by the addition of pepstatin A. At molecular level, we identify a putative C. tropicalis gene that confers a haemolytic factor (CtHLP) and its expression was evaluated using a quantitative RT-qPCR assay. In preliminary experiments, the employment of the designed specific primers for a putative CtHLP and an active reference control (CtACT gene) allowed us to verify that the putative haemolytic factor is differently expressed as function of the incubation time. The CtHLP was highly expressed up to 7 h incubation in RPMI medium where further incubation resulted in decreased expression. The results obtained extend our knowledge about the biochemical and molecular basis of haemolytic activity in C. tropicalis.
