Bu çalışmada Mg alaşımlarının kullanım alanlarını desteklemek amacıyla yeni bir yöntem ile kaplama işlemi yapılmıştır. AZ91 Mg alaşımı ile hazırlanan numuneler saf Si tozu içerisinde farklı sıcaklıklarda bekletilmiştir. Mg-Si faz diyagramı esas alınarak sıcaklıklar 400°C, 450°C ve 500°C olarak belirlenmiştir.
