We present a study to examine the sensitivity of a futuree-e+collider to the anomalous top flavour-changing neutral current (FCNC) to the gluon. To separate signal from background a multivariate analysis is performed on top quark pair and background events, where one top quark is considered to follow the dominant standard model (SM) decay,t→Wb, and the other top decays through FCNC,t→qg, whereqis au- or ac-quark. The analysis of fully hadronic FCNC decay of thett-pair is also presented. The 95% confidence level limits on the top quark anomalous couplings are obtained for different values of th

We report on a search for flavor-changing neutral-currents (FCNC) in the production of heavy quarks in deep inelastic νμN and [Formula: see text] scattering by the NuTeV experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron. This measurement, made possible by the high-purity NuTeV sign-selected beams, probes for FCNC in heavy flavors at the quark level and is uniquely sensitive to neutrino couplings of potential FCNC mediators. All searches are consistent with zero, and limits on the effective mixing strengths |Vus|2, |Vdb|2, and |Vsb|2 are obtained.

Rare B-decays induced by flavour-changing neutral currents (FCNC) is one of the promising candidates for probing physics beyond the Standard model. However, for identifying potential new physics from the data, reliable control over QCD contributions is necessary. We focus on one of such QCD contributions – the charming loops – that potentially can lead to difficulties in disentangling new physics effects from the observable and discuss the possibility to gain control over theoretical predictions for charming loops.

A texture-zeros is an approach to reduce the number of free parameters in Yukawa couplings and it is one of the most attractive ones. In our paper, we discuss the origin of zero-structure in texture-zeros by S3 flavor symmetry approach. Some of electroweak doublet Higgs fields have vanishing vacuum expectation value (VEV) which leads to vanishing elements in quark and lepton mass matrices. Then, the structure of supersymmetric scalar potential is analyzed and Higgs fields have non-trivial S3 charges. As a prediction of our paper, a lower bound of a MNS matrix element, Ue3 ≥ 0.04, is obtained.

Abstract:
Quark models with four-fermion interaction including derivatives of fields in the strong coupling regime are used to implement composite-Higgs extensions of the Standard Model. In this approach the dynamical breaking of chiral symmetry occurs in two (or more) channels (near polycritical values for coupling constants), giving rise to two (or more) composite Higgs doublets. Two types of models are built for which Flavor Changing Neutral Currents (FCNC) are naturally suppressed. In the first Model I the second Higgs doublet is regarded as a radial excitation of the first one. In the second Model

I summarize the theoretical progress in the determination of the CKM elements since Lepton-Photon 2003 and present the status of the elements and parameters of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix. One finds |Vus| = 0.2227 ± 0.0017 from K and τ decays and |Vcb| = (41.6 ± 0.5) · 10-3 from inclusive semileptonic B decays. The unitarity triangle can now be determined from tree-level quantities alone and the result agrees well with the global fit including flavour-changing neutral current (FCNC) processes, which are sensitive to new physics. From the global fit one finds the three CKM angles

We argue that the consistent implementation of the multiple point principle (MPP) in the general nonsupersymmetric two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) can lead to a set of approximate global custodial symmetries that ensure CP conservation in the Higgs sector and the absence of flavor changing neutral currents (FCNC) in the considered model. In particular, the existence of a large set of degenerate vacua at some high energy scale Λ caused by the MPP can result in approximate U(1) and Z2 symmetries that suppress FCNC and CP-violating interactions in the 2HDM. The impressive progress that elementary particle physics made in the second half of the last century led to the formulation of a comprehensive theory, known as the Standard Model (SM), which correctly describes all fundamental interactions in nature, except for the gravitational one. Indirect discoveries have always played an important role in high energy physics scenario and indirect research can be considered to all intents and purposes complementary to the direct one, since allows to test much higher energy scales than those the current colliders are able to reach. The Standard Model (SM) is the best theory which describes Nature at the fundamental level. Even if it provides very accurate predictions, the SM features some open problems. A promising extension of the SM is the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) provided by supersymmetry. The MSSM can provide solutions for some of the open problems of the SM but it can suffer from the flavour supersymmetric problem associated with the presence of large Flavour Changing Neutral Currents (FCNCs).
