Abstract Reaction of HPriP-CH2-PPriH with Fe2(CO)9 in a molar ratio of 1:2 produces a mixture of cluster compounds from which Fe4(CO)10[(μ2-PPri)2CH2](μ2-PPriMe)(μ2-H)(μ4-PH) could be isolated by liquid chromatography. X-ray structural analysis shows a planar trapezoid arrangement for the four iron atoms (Fe1 -Fe2 2,648(1), Fe2 -Fe3 2,790(1), Fe3 -Fe4 2,643(1), Fe1 --Fe4 4,109(1) Å ) capped by the novel bidentate phosphido bridge (μ2-PPri)2CH2 and the unsubstituted phosphinidene, PH( Fe1 - P4 2,284(1), Fe2 - P4 2,410(1), Fe3 - P4 2,405(1), Fe4 - P4 2,288(1), P4 - H1 1,39(4) Å).

The catalytic performance of a series of La-Fe/AC catalysts was studied for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO by CO. With the increase in La content, the Fe2+/Fe3+ ratio and amount of surface oxygen vacancies (SOV) in the catalysts increased; thus the catalytic activity improved. Incorporating the promoters to La3-Fe1/active carbon (AC) catalyst could affect the catalyst activity by changing the electronic structure. The increase in Fe2+/Fe3+ ratio after the promoter addition is possibly due to the extra synergistic interaction of M (Mn and Ce) and Fe through the redox equilibrium

By contrast, Pb2+ ions inhibit peroxidation of microsomes in the presence of Fe3+/ascorbate or Fe3+-ADP/NADPH. Abstract:
Since iron oxide and silicon oxide are major gangue components in various types of ore, FeO-SiO2 base slag, ie fayalite slag, has been often encountered in pyrometallurgical processes of non-ferrous metals. During most matte production processes such as the smelting of Cu, Pb, and Ni, the FeO-SiO2 based slag is inevitably formed and plays an important role in refining crude metal as well as engineering aspects. Recently, similar pyrometallurgical approaches have been attempted in the recovery of valuable metals (Ni, Co, Cr) from wasted secondary batteries. Thus, the viscosity of the FeO-SiO2 b

Steelmaking slags are usually used as roadbed and civil engineering materials. However, the expansion phenomenon, which is caused by the volume expansion during hydration of free CaO and free MgO contained in steelmaking slag, is indispensable. Since the hydration of free MgO in steelmaking slag is much slower than that of free CaO, it is qualitatively considered that free MgO contributes to the hydration expansion of steelmaking slag over a long period of time. Similar to free CaO, free MgO consists of undissolved MgO and crystallised MgO in steelmaking slag. The latter precipitates during sl

A variety of picosecond time-resolved two-beam coupling, transient grating and degenerate-four-wave mixing techniques are used to investigate the nonlinear loss and to measure the strength, formation and decay of photorefractive gratings written in GaAs and InP:Fe and of free-carrier gratings written in Si, GaAs, and InP by 43-ps pulses at a wavelength of 1 μm. We present data and numerical calculations as a function of fluence, time delay, pump-to-probe ratio, pump polarization, analyzer angle and crystal orientation. We report for the first time on proton-irradiation as a method to precisely adjust the reduction ratio, i.e. the ratio R = [Fe2+]/[Fe3+], of Fe:KNbO3 over three orders of magnitude. By applying this technique, we were able to alter the photorefractive gain Γ from 2.5 cm−1 up to 34 cm−1, the absorption constant α from 0.06 cm−1 up to 2.1 cm−1 and the grating buildup time τ from 1.6 ms down to 34 µs at an intensity I = 200 W/cm2 in a 1000 ppm Fe-doped KNbO3 crystal, for example [1]. The major advantage of ion-irradiation is that it is a very homogeneous and a very reproducible process, which can

Abstract Iron sulphide (Fes) scale is widely present in both oilfield and geothermal systems and causes a range of production and Health and Safety problems. Although substantial progress has been made, continued efforts are needed to precisely understand and predict FeS scaling. The aim of this work is to present a simple robust model for FeS scale experiments in the laboratory. This model predicts saturation ratios (SRs) and masses of the formed iron sulphide scale, final solution compositions and final pH levels, for specific lab experiments. This model is verified by comparing results with

In this study, effects of P.mirifica on hepatic cytochrome P450 (CYP), serum lipid profile and subchronic toxicity were investigated in male Wistar rats. Rats were randomly divided into four treatment groups as following: normal diet-fed group; normal diet-fed supplemented with P.mirifica group; high cholesterol diet-fed group; high cholesterol diet-fed supplemented with P.mirifica group. Expenditures: Lighter vehicle classes saw their share of cost responsibility decline between 2015 and 2024, while the heavier vehicle classes saw their responsibilities increase within this period. This change is explained by a diametric shift in expenditure type patterns between the two eras from construction-dominant to maintenance-dominant expenditures. In this context, it is worth noting that these e

When testing an 1:N geotechnical structure in the centrifuge, it is desirable to choose a large scale factor (N) that can fit the small-scale model in a model container and avoid unwanted boundary effects, however, this in turn may cause scale effects when the structure is overscaled. This is more significant when it comes to small-scale modelling of sinker root-soil interaction, where root-particle size ratio is much lower. In this study the Distinct Element Method (DEM) is used to investigate this problem. The sinker root of a model root system under axial loading was analysed, with both upw
