Denna undersökning granskar hur representationen av de kvinnliga karaktärerna sker i Barbiefilmen Barbie Princess Adventure (2020). Granskningen genomfördes genom två separata analyser, en narrativ analys av filmen och en semiotisk visuell analys av de kvinnliga karaktärerna. Undersökningen visade på att filmen representerar en motsägelsefull femininitet.
