Abstract:
Artikel ini bertujuan membahas feminisme dalam sastra Jawa, salah satu sastra etnis di Indonesia yang masih eksis sampai saat ini. Sebelum kemunculan pengarang perempuan, perempuan dalam sastra Jawa ditulis oleh pengarang laki-laki sehingga mereka dideskripsikan sebagai makhluk tak berdaya dan setia pada pria, bukan sebagai sosok atau figur yang kuat. Baru tahun 1917-an, dengan munculnya pengarang perempuan muda dari Yogya dan Surabaya, persepsi feminisme dalam sastra Jawa berubah. Dalam karya-karyanya, mereka mendemonstrasikan solidaritas terhadap perempuan yang menjadi korban ketidaksetaraan gender. Saat ini, sastra Jawa feminis ditulis baik oleh pengarang perempuan maupun laki-laki. Pengarang perempuan menyuguhkan sebuah konsep feminisme yang mengarah pada kesetaraan gender, sementara pengarang laki- laki berusaha untuk membela perempuan tertindas dengan cara laki-laki Abstract: This article is aimed to discuss feminism in Javanese literature, one of the ethnical literatures in Indonesia which still exist up till now. Prior to the emergence of female authors, women in the Javanese literature had been written by male authors so that they had been described as being submissive and loyal to men instead of an image or figure of strong ones. Not until 1917s, by the emergence of young female authors from Yogya and Surabaya, did the perception of feminism in Javanese literature change. In the works, they have demonstrated solidarity to women who became the victims of gender inequality. At the present time, feminist Javanese literatures are written by either female or male author. Female authors present a feminism concept which leads to gender equality, whereas male authors make an effort to defend oppressed women by manly methods. <p>Przedmiotem rozważań dla niniejszego szkicu są przede wszystkim wątki feministyczne obecne w polskiej literaturze kobiet. Tekst podejmuje refleksję dotyczącą następujących kwestii: czy istnieje zjawisko literatury feministycznej w Polsce; czy wątki feministyczne są charakterystyczne tylko dla sztuki kobiet; jakie feminizmy obecne są w literaturze kobiet? Socjologiczna badania pokazują, iż w Polsce feminizm nie zyskuje aprobaty społecznej nawet wśród kobiet doświadczającyh nierówności płciowych. Ciagle pokutuje negowanie pozytywnej roli feminizmu, zakorzeniiła sie silnie postawa antyfeministyczna mająca żróło w braku wiedzy, streotypach odnośnie do ruchu kobiet. Ewa Malinowska wiele lat temu argumentowała, że ruch feministyczny w Polsce jest działaniem jednostek a nie kolektywnej pracy aktorów społecznych. Rodzimych korzeni literatury związanej z femiznimem upartuje się <em>Entuzjstkach</em> Narcyzy Żmichowskiej. Skupione wokół tego ruchu pisarki angażowały się w polityczną i edukacyjną działalność. Po okresie I wojny światowej, wraz z zyskaniem praw do głosowania i edukacji rodzima literatura kobiet zaatakowała zerwaniem wielu społecznych, obyczajowych tabu, w tym seksulanych, np. ciąża, macierzyństwo, aborcja, małżeństwo (G. Zapolska, Z. Nalkowska, M. Kuncewiczowa, P. Gojawiczyńska, I. Krzywicka, A. Gruszecka, H. Boguszewska and many others).Druga wojna światowa i póżniejszy PRL przysłoniły idee feministyczne, ważne tematy i problemy dla kobiet. Sytuacja uległa zmiane po 1989 roku wraz z debiutami pisarek nie tylko opisujących doświadczenia kobiece ale także otwarcie declarującycmi sympatię do feminizmu w wywiadach (np. Manuela Gretkowska, Izabela Filipiak, Olga Tokarczuk, Natasza Goerke). Współczesne literatura nie jest ofensywna, pisarki nie walczą i nie deklarują otwarcie femistycznej postawy, wartości.</p><p><strong>Feminism in Polish Women’s Literature</strong></p>SUMMARY<p>The subject of discussion in this sketch is first of all feminist themes present in Polish women’s literature. The text considers the following questions: whether the phenomenon of feminist literature exists in Poland; whether feminist themes are characteristic only of women’s art; what feminisms are present in women’s literature? Sociological studies show that feminism is not socially approved even among women who experience gender inequalities. The denial of the positive role of feminism still persists, and there is a deeprooted antifeminist attitude stemming from ignorance and stereotypes. Many years ago Ewa Malinowska argued that the feminist movement in Poland consisted in the activity of individuals rather than the collective work of social activists. The native roots of literature associated with feminism are sought in Narcyza Żmichowska’s Enthusiasts (Entuzjastki) group. The women writers participating in this movement were involved in political and educational activities. After World War One, after women were granted voting rights and right to education, women’s literature in Poland touched on many social and moral taboos, including sexual, such as pregnancy, maternity, abortion, or marriage (G. Zapolska, Z. Nałkowska, M. Kuncewiczowa, P. Gojawiczyńska, I. Krzywicka, A. Gruszecka, H. Boguszewska, and others). World War Two and the period of People’s Poland pushed feminist ideas and women’s important problems and subjects into the deep background. The situation changed after 1989 with the debuts of women writers who not only described female experiences but also openly declared their sympathies towards feminism in interviews (e.g. Manuela Gretkowska, Izabela Filipiak, Olga Tokarczuk, and Natasza Goerke). Contemporary literature is not aggressive, however: women writers do not fi ght and do not openly espouse feminist attitudes and values.</p>

Babak Agni Pariksha (percobaan api atas Sita) di dalam kisah Ramayana telah menginspirasi banyak sastrawan Indonesia di dalam menghasilkan karya-karya sastra. Selama ini kajian mengenai karya yang terinspirasi oleh Agni Pariksha sudah banyak dilakukan, tetapi belum ada yang menggunakan pendekatan sastra bandingan feminis. Di samping itu, masih terdapat keraguan mengenai keterlibatan laki-laki di dalam feminisme dan/atau kritik terhadap sistem patriarki. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sastra bandingan feminis terhadap tiga sajak: Asmaradana karya Subagio Sastrowardoyo, Sita Sihir karya Sapardi Djoko Damono, dan Sepucuk Surat Sita Sebelum Labuh Pati karya Soni Farid Maulana. Pembacaan cermat dan analisis isi dilakukan atas ketiga sajak untuk menyibak makna laten bernuansa feminisme sembari dibandingkan dengan kisah asli Ramayana. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa ketiga sajak mengkritik representasi ideal dari konstruksi relasi gender heteroseksual di dalam sistem patriarki yang terbangun dari kisah Ramayana. Temuan ini memberikan bukti bahwa laki-laki pun dapat mengajukan kritik terhadap sistem patriarki dari posisi mereka sebagai laki-laki dan sekaligus mengartikulasikan pandangan mereka yang koheren dengan gerakan feminisme[A Comparative Feminist Approach on the Variety of Re-writing Sitas Agni Pariksha in Three Indonesian Poems] Agni Pariksha (Sitas Fire Ordeal) in Ramayana has inspired many Indonesian writers. Previous studies on the writings inspired by Agni Pariksha in Indonesian literature have never used feminist comparative literature approach. Moreover, there have been doubts on the involvement of men in feminism and/or in criticizing patriarchy. This study used feminist comparative literature approach on three Indonesian poems: Asmaradana by Subagio Sastrowardoyo, Sita Sihir by Sapardi Djoko Damono, and Sepucuk Surat Sita Sebelum Labuh Pati by Soni Farid Maulana. These poems were close read and analyzed using content analysis to reveal their potential profeminism messages whilst also compared to the story of Ramayana. This study found that the three poems criticize the ideal representation of heterosexual gender relation construction in the patriarchal system based on the story of Ramayana. The findings suggest that men are able to give criticism towards the patriarchal system from their subject position as men while at the same time also articulate their pro-feminism stance.Keywords: Agni Pariksha; feminist comparative literature; existentialist feminism; subject question;subject in situation

Abstract:
The concept feminism encompasses to an intense awareness of feminine identity and concerns, which has become a significant theme in literature since its rise and development. Despite its controversial nature, this essay offers a comprehensive understanding of feminist literature, including various types such as liberal feminism, radical feminism, Marxist feminism, socialist feminism, cultural feminism, black/African feminism, womanism, African womanism and satanism, and mothers. Women writers have contributed aesthetically and intellectually to the progress and development of society, rejecting the notion of inferiority and highlighting their capabilities. The struggle for equal treatment and identity is a recurring theme in feminist literature. The developing force of the women's liberation movement led to an evaluation of texts from a new perspective, shifting interest to women characters and theorists. In Nigeria, particularly the Northern part, women are traditionally restricted from voicing their opinions, and their decisions are made by male-dominating figures. This paper traces the origin of women's writing worldwide, in Africa and Nigeria; using the theoretical frameworks and text analysis to derive data and suggestions on how women writers can improve their literary status in Nigeria, especially the Northern Nigeria.

Although previous research about the old feminist movement has deconstructed the equality versus difference dichotomy as false, recent Swedish research applies the same dichotomy, arguing that the demise of second wave feminism in Sweden was due to a swing from "equality feminism" "difference feminism". Based on her own extensive research on feminism in the 1960-80's, Dahlerup argues that cultural feminism of that period, including such phenomena as all women bands, films and women's literature, rather should be interpreted as a gigantic search for new feminist identities. Studies of old as well as newer feminist movements show that it has been possible for feminists to argue for equality (the political dimension) without agreeing or even clarifying for themselves the troublesome question of sameness or difference between the sexes (the onthological dimension). This article rejects the new dichotomy of biological essentialism versus constructivism, partly as a consequence of feminist theory's own rejection of the distinction between sex and gender. The article states that all feminisms see women's position as socially constructed, although in varying degrees; and that even "difference feminism" includes some protest against patriarchal biologism. In general, feminism is full of ambivalence and strategic choices rather than dichotomous thinking. The author also modifies the pendulumtheory of historical swings between feminism of sameness and feminism of difference. The article ends with recommendations for feminist movement research: A synchronous perspective is necessary, even in diachronous analyses. Further, dichotomous analytical concepts should be replaced by idealtypes which allow for differences in degree. Finally, it should be considered an empirical question, whether, when and on what issues women in history have constituted a group.

Abstract:
In this introduction, we reconsider how we can tell the stories of Black feminist thought and institutional feminist study through uncertainty and incommensurability rather than clear reproducibility of good and bad objects. We then consider the speculative place of reproductive history, metaphor, and technology vis-à-vis intersectionality as a foundational object of worry for and in feminist thought. Taking seriously the sustained focus on white women and white feminism as the quintessential bad objects and actors in the present of US feminism, we engage how the reproductive in Black feminism has been both an occluding and elucidating genre to refract Black women as subjects of a “white” field of feminism and the academy at large. We pay particular attention to the social reproduction of race in analyses of gestation, birth, and motherhood and the opportunities these sites represent for disorienting intersectional analysis rather than shoring up its contours. By challenging feminism's critical attachments to self-evidently ethical objects, this introduction, and this issue, offer a way forward in feminist study that imagines uncertainty as a core method and value of feminist inquiry.

Feminism has branched out into a three-way approach to the concept of time. Despite the fundamental differences of opinion, the generality can also be seen in the feminist genres that developed into the three divisions of thought. Equality feminism appeared when the inadequacy of moderate feminism was realized. Extremist feminism and its consequent extreme feminism have emerged in the world as a result of the inadequacy of Egalitarian feminism. Today we can see that there is a tendency for women to choose one feminine genre as a thought-provoking guide for their life and ignore the other based on the land, family, social environment, education and economic status. In the pulsating literature of the community, one can find the people of that community and their thoughts. Feminist thought can also be seen in the works of T. Janakiraman, who creates female characters with the power of strength. The purpose of this article is to examine T. Janakiraman's novel 'Survived' by Feminist Thoughts. In T. Janakiraman 's novels, women are portrayed as a powerful personality. There are three types of feminism: T. Janakiraman; Sengamma, Renganayaki and Anusuya can be compared to the three characters in the novel 'Uyirthen'. This comparison will help us to identify the thinking resources of the three-fold feminism, to focus on the creative technique of the female characters and the social value of the woman.

Abstract:
The article goes through the problem of British and Ukrainian feminism nature in the literature of the end of XIX-th – beginning of XX-th centuries basing on comparative, historical, cultural, philosophic and biographical research methods; determining the phenomenon’s peculiarities within both cultural paradigms. It is determined and proven that the feminism as a phenomenon is a principle which determines society’s spiritual development, the epoch maturity and allows one to see historical traditions as well as mentality of nations and countries. So for the most distinct problem’s outline and its peculiarities definition we have analyzed works by Virginia Wolf as a bright representative of the feminist literature and works by Lesya Ukrayinka as one of the most progressive writers of her time. It is determined and proven that features and peculiarities of feminism in British and Ukrainian literatures of the end of XIX-th – beginning of XX-th centuries are: they both were developing under the influence of similar social and cultural tendencies which proves common spiritual space, nations’ and cultures’ dialogue; nature of British and Ukrainian feminism differs in the historical conditions under which the phenomenon appeared (in the UK a woman was traditionally limited in her rights, her behavior was strictly dictated by the social tradition, her fate was foreseen by the unequal laws, whereas in Ukraine a woman had a right for education, was eligible to receive inheritance, she lived in a more flexible mental and cultural surrounding); feminism and its ideas in British and Ukrainian literatures are quite different in their manifestation rate, its position aggression (in British literature the problem is strictly outlined, dissatisfaction is expressed, feminism postulates and propaganda are present; though in Ukrainian literature there isn’t any special accentuation on the problem, rather a strong woman depiction is obvious); to describe British literature of the end of XIX-th – beginning of XX-th centuries it is appropriate to use the strongest definition – Feminist movement, with its manifests and strong presence in literature, whereas in Ukrainian literature having a quite strong position of a woman in society being outlined it’s more appropriate to use determinations like feminist ideas, feminist philosophy.

This paper starts from the feminism in British and American literature, analyzes the female images in some classic British and American literature, and expounds the influence of the embodiment of female consciousness on British and American literature.

Abstract:
This thesis is concerned with the ambivalence expressed towards feminism by many women in the last decade and identifies post-feminism as a problematic through which to explore this in contemporary women's writing. It focuses on selected fictional and non-fictional texts of the 1980s and 1990s and examines the ways in which they engage with feminist concerns. Until now, post-feminism has not been studied through its articulations in popular literature. To do justice to the wide range of views held by women and avoid a defensive and pessimistic reading of commercialised mainstream culture, I have made use of intertextual readings. The methodology is derived from feminist critical theory and cultural studies in order to address the relation between feminist and non-feminist literary texts and the dynamic interchange between what have been labelled as feminist politics and mainstream or consumer women' s interests. The significance of the research lies in the identification of ways in which such works of fiction and nonfiction provide an outlet for women's voices which could serve as a basis for developing feminist criticism and politics. The thesis is divided into three chapters, the different themes of which illustrate post-feminist concerns. In the first, I address the literature of popular therapy by women. The second chapter focuses on contemporary fictional and non-fictional writings by women on sex. The final chapter examines women' s relationship to transgression through genres of crime writing. I have found that popular literary forms used by women may offer a progressive and complex reading of post-feminism. I conclude that post-feminism has drawn on popular elements of feminism and that, at the beginning of the 1990s, one may identify a reincorporation of feminism into postfeminism.

West African Women writers are constantly looking for ways to maneuver the patriarchal system within their indigenous cultures. To say maneuvering implies the dilemma in consciously navigating patriarchal epistemology as West African women, which in reality is not exotic to other feminist struggles outside the continent. To deal with the dilemma of constantly maneuvering, this thesis suggest for an indigenous framework. It suggests Osun –a Nigerian goddess– as a response to the theoretical problems and as a methodology to navigating a postcolonial patriarchal worldview in order to express West African feminist discourse. The specificity of Osun is essential, but the fluidity of Osun across borders cannot be undermined as it paves the way for flexibility within feminist and gender discourse and draws upon various gender oppressed experiences. The idea of specificity and fluidity is fundamental to developing Osun as West African feminist discourse because of her ability to transcend space. The combination of specificity and fluidity are necessary within any feminist discourse as it allows for women from different regions to relate and align the tenets to their specific struggles found in the diversity of Osun.

Analytic philosophy since Plato has been notoriously hostile to literature, and yet in recent years, increasing numbers of philosophers within the tradition have sought to take seriously the question of how it is that literature can be philosophical. Analytic philosophy has also been noted for its hostility to women and resistance to feminism. In this thesis I seek to make connections between firstly the prejudice against, and then the potential for, the contribution of the perspectives of literature and feminism in philosophy, attempting to answer simultaneously the two questions; How can literature be philosophical? How can feminists write philosophy? In the sense that I attempt to take these questions seriously, and answer them precisely, this thesis fits into the analytic philosophical tradition. However, my response to these questions, and thus the majority of this thesis, takes the form of a non-traditional demonstration of the philosophical potential of literature presented through three feminist literary genres; autographical fiction, utopian fiction, and detective fiction. Using generic divisions seems to be an appropriate strategy for reclaiming literature as philosophical, since it suggests an identification with the Aristotelian defence of literary arts against Plato's assault. However, I will argue that these literary genres have traditionally been defined in terms which prohibit a philosophical reading. I will expose and then recover this anti-philosophical bias, particularly when it coincides with feminist genre revisions. This recovery will take the form of a philosophical reconceptualizing of each genre, and a specific comparative analysis of two texts adopted as representative of each genre as I conceive it. In this way I hope to show that it is not only possible, but highly advantageous, to learn from the novel.

Using a modified, systematic literature review I will examine issues of subjectivity, gender, and differnce in relation to psychoanalytic feminist theory. Psychoanalytic feminism evolved out of a reaction to classical psychoanalytic theory. In particular, the works of Chodorow (1978), Kristeva, (1977, 1989) and Benjamin (1988) were used. The literature revew will discuss the development of these theoretical perspectives and the understanding of subjectivity, gender and difference in psychoanalytic feminism and the implication this has for clinical practice.

Abstract:
This thesis examines the close and complex relationship between dress, feminism, and British New Woman novels. It provides in-depth analysis of six New Woman novels and draws comparisons with numerous other works. The case study texts are Olive Schreiner's The Story of an African Farm (1883) and From Man to Man: Or Perhaps Only ... (1926, posthumously), Sarah Grand's Ideala: A Study from Life (1881) and The Heavenly Twins (1893), and Grant Allen's The Woman Who Did (1895) and The Type-Writer Girl (1897). I explore why dress was so important to such novels, and examine the diverse, individual, developing, and shared ways in which authors engaged with dress as a feminist strategy and feminist concern. Areas considered include From Man to Man's use of functional clothes and dress production to celebrate female labour, Grand's interest in both dress reform and dressing to impress, Allen's shift in focus from the white-clad free lover to the sensibly-dressed working woman, and authors' use of deceptively clean clothes to address male immorality and disease. The thesis looks beyond as well as within New Woman narratives, demonstrating that writers, and publishers, were broadly concerned with dress in its various literal and more metaphorical manifestations. Focuses include self-styling, authorial cross-dressing, and bindings. Dress does not, however, always seamlessly support these texts' feminisms, I argue. For example, Grand elevated cross-class feminism, but she belittled middle-class women's taste, side-lined poor women's most pressing sartorial concerns, and dressed to impress. I also stress that dress, being so closely bound up with New Woman novels' feminisms and their ambiguities, is a revealing lens through which to read such texts, and one often capable of prompting re-readings. Attention to Allen's rejection of sartorial realism in parts of The Woman Who Did problematises the dominant conception of this novel as straightforwardly pro-free union, for instance. The thesis, as well as gesturing towards dress's centrality to the production and interpretation of literary feminisms and anti-feminisms broadly, emphasises the importance of dress to New Woman literature and its analysts, and uses dress to provide fresh readings of various novels and genre-wide issues.

This dissertation provides an analysis of the representation of Arab American men in post-9/11 writings by Arab American women. This thesis contributes a new inquiry regarding Arab American literature in joining the subject of literature written by women and the study of Arab American masculinities. It delves into the construction (from both outsider and insider perspectives) of Arab American masculinities, at the same time as it expounds on the history of Arab (American) feminisms, placing Arab American women writers in a privileged space of contestation and critique in their fight against both sexism and racism. This dissertation wants to visibilize the nuanced depiction of Arab and Arab American men provided by Arab American women writers after 9/11, who have been informed by feminism since the 1990s. In their attempt to fight both sexism and racism, Arab American women provide ambivalent representations of Arab men that counter stereotypical discourses historically entrenched in the American psyche and also recurrent after 9/11. Furthermore, this thesis also intends to provide an analysis of fiction as a representation of reality, while also understanding literature as a potential conductor of change in cultural discourses. To do so, the dissertation is structured in four main parts which examine the context, reasons, and potential consequences of the specific portrayals of Arab American masculinities published by Arab American women after 9/11. The first chapter covers the historical vilification and racialization of Arab men in the United States, by taking on theories on biopolitics (Foucault), necropolitics (Mbembe, Puar), and monster-terrorist (Puar and Rai) in relation to the traumatic experience of September 11. The second deals with the discourses that aid in the social construction of Arab American identities and masculinities, with a special emphasis given to the theories of neopatriarchy (Sharabi), heterotopia (Foucault) and thirdspace (Soja, Bhaba). The construction of Arab American identities is also analyzed (David), as well as Arab American masculinities (Harpel). The third chapter examines the development and characteristics of Arab American feminisms (Hatem), as well as their influence to Arab American women writers. Finally, the fourth part takes on the theories from previous chapters and provides a literary analysis of the male characters in a group of selected novels published after 9/11. Those are: Diana Abu-Jaber's Crescent (2003), Laila Halaby's West of the Jordan (2003), Alicia Erian's Towelhead (2005), Laila Halaby's Once in A Promised Land (2007), Frances Kirallah Noble's The New Belly Dancer of the Galaxy (2007), Susan Muaddi Darraj's The Inheritance of Exile: Stories from South Philly (2007), Randa Jarrar's A Map of Home (2008), and Alia Yunis's The Night Counter (2009).

La tesis explora la construcción de las masculinidades árabo-americanas, al mismo tiempo que explica la historia de los feminismos árabo-americanos, situando a las mujeres árabo-americanas en un espacio privilegiado de contestación y crítica en su lucha contra el sexismo y contra el racismo. Esta tesis quiere visibilizar la compleja representación de los hombres árabes y árabo-americanos ofrecida por mujeres árabo-americanas después del 11 de septiembre, mujeres influenciadas por el feminismo desde los años noventa. En su lucha contra el sexismo y el racismo, estas mujeres proporcionan representaciones ambivalentes de hombres árabes que contrarrestan los discursos estereotípicos recurrentes después del 11 de septiembre y arraigados en la psique norteamericana. Además, proporciona un análisis de la ficción como representación de la realidad, entendiendo la literatura como conductor potencial de cambio en los discursos culturales. Para ello, el estudio se estructura en cuatro partes que examinan los contextos, razones y potenciales consecuencias de las representaciones específicas de las masculinidades árabo-americanas publicadas por mujeres después del 11 de septiembre. When thinking about the place of women in the popular habitat management from feminism, questions arise: How these processes of social production were throughout history? How should a Feminist Urban Management be? What subjectivities matter? How are processes evaluated? This communication condenses the results obtained in the framework of an academic exercise with Urban Planning students, in which it was proposed to generate devices to measure and evaluate the role of women, as active political subjects, within an ongoing participatory process: the Integral Reurbanization Project (IRUP) of Villa 20 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For this, an analysis of the proposed participatory management devices was carried out, through primary sources (interviews) and secondary sources (literature referred to the case). The experience resulted in the creation of three designs: the Feminist Timeline, the Interference Scheme, and the Evaluation of Gender Transversality, which together allowed the generation of a set of weighting of the process from a feminist and gender perspective. Al pensar desde el feminismo el lugar de las mujeres en la gestión del hábitat popular, surgen interrogantes: ¿Cómo fueron sus procesos de producción social a través del tiempo? ¿cómo debería ser una gestión urbana feminista? ¿qué subjetividades importan? ¿Cómo se evalúan esos procesos? Esta comunicación condensa los resultados obtenidos en el marco de un ejercicio académico con estudiantes de urbanismo, en el cual se les propuso diseñar dispositivos para medir y evaluar el rol de las mujeres como sujetos políticos activos de un proceso participativo en curso: el Proyecto Integral de Reurbanización (PIRU) de Villa 20 en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Se realizó un análisis de los dispositivos de gestión participativa vigentes, a través de fuentes primarias (entrevistas) y secundarias (lecturas). La experiencia devino en la creación de tres diseños: la Línea de tiempo feminista, el Esquema de interferencias y la Evaluación de la transversalidad de género, que en conjunto permitieron generar un set de ponderación del proceso, desde una perspectiva de género y feminista. The concept of gender equality, which is among the most frequently discussed topics in our country, especially in recent years, appears as an area that has been examined intensively in the national agenda. As a result, different discussions may arise about the conceptual dimension. Even today, gender equality can often be confused with different disciplines. The best example of this is the misconception of the concept of feminism as gender equality. However, contrary to popular belief, feminism does not have the same meaning as gender equality. Although feminism is related to gender equality, they are not really substitute terms. Nevertheless, in many articles or researches, it can be seen that they are described as if they were the same. And yet, when the recent studies on gender equality are examined, these misunderstandings are observed to have begun to be overcome. At the same time, awareness is raised about gender equality thanks to these contents, and it is gradually increasing with the support of non-governmental organizations, big brands and platforms. The biggest indicator of this increase is the increased number of advertisements based on gender equality and the granting of awards related on the topic. For this reason, within the scope of this study, literature review is conducted on the advertisements that ranked in the category of Gender Equality at the 2019 Crystal Apple Award Ceremony and semiotic analysis methods, and interpretations are made on the advertisement pillar of the gender equality movement and the perception of gender in our country.

Women have been involved in the creation of Polish literature since the 17th century. A new page in the history of Polish literature, which came after 1989, is associated with the rapid development of feminism. An important phenomenon of poetry at the beginning of the XXI century was the abundance of female names: at this time, the authors of the older generation, such as V. Szymborska, E. Lipska, K. Miłobędzka, J. Hartwig, continue to create, but new names also appear: J. Mueller, M. Cyranowicz, J. Bargielska, M. Podgórnik, M. Lebda, J. Fiedorchuk, M. B. Kielar. Contemporary Polish women’s poetry is very soulful, sensual and deep, it is filled with empathy, and at the same time it is subjective. Corporeality and frankness become one of the characteristic features of women’s writing: women’s poetry tells more openly and directly about the most intimate experiences.

Os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável consistem em 17 objetivos propostos pela ONU para lidar com desafios urgentes enfrentados pela humanidade. O Objetivo 5 visa alcançar a igualdade de gênero. No intuito de contribuir com esse objetivo, este trabalho apresenta um mapeamento sistemático da literatura para identificar as publicações científicas nos eventos WIT e SBGames sobre jogos com temática feminina. Após a análise dos 18 estudos relevantes, foram identificados 20 jogos com temática feminina. Os resultados mostraram que 75% desses jogos atendem as metas do Objetivo 5 e podem ser relacionados aos temas de discriminação, violência e empoderamento feminino.

The premise of the research is that whilst many young women value the work of the early feminists in terms of gender equality and individual freedom for themselves, only a small number position themselves as feminist. Indeed, the author identified research with young women in the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany and Canada which supported this premise. Comparative research on young women’s identifications with feminism in Aotearoa/New Zealand, was, however, absent within the literature and this thesis set out to address this gap. Overall, the thesis addresses the New Zealand context with considerable scholarly integrity and depth, demonstrating originality and a well-considered analytical response to the data.
