Abstract:
La poesie de mallarme, pour la definir brievement, est un culte de la beaute. Ce culte de la beaute nous amene a nous interesser plus particulierement a l'aspect feminin du poete - l'anima comme dit c. G. Jung. Or l'aspect feminin de mallarme sousentend deux choses en meme temps : d'une part, la quintessence du monde feminin qui constitue le but final de la poesie ; d'autre part l'attitude feminine du poete pour atteindre ce monde et creer. Le monde feminin de mallarme est represente par divers symboles : mere, chambre, nuit, terre, eau, miroir, chevelure, etoile, oiseau, bijon, sirene etc. . . Ce qui attire surtout notre attention tout au cours de notre etude, s'est que le poete, pour conquerir cette essence feninine, prend une attitude passive, car la force male le gene et le trouble toujours. Il essaie de transformer toutes ses pulsions viriles en energie feminine, ce qui explique sa preference de l'ascese mentale au trouble de la violence. Cette attitude feminine et passive se remarque encore dans tous ses drames de la creation. Creer est pour lui enfanter; le ventre remplace la tete. Et cette vocation feminine d'enfantement poetique est divinisee par la vierge marie. Dans "le livre", nous pouvons constater que les deux aspects feminine s'harmonisent merveilleusement
The poems of mallarme can be defind in brief by the cult of the beauty. This cult of the beauty offers us an excellent motif for a study on the feminine aspects of the poste-the anima as is said by c. G. Jung. The feminity of mallarme has two significations at the same time : the feminine world the essence of which constitutes the final view of the poetry and the feminine attitude of the poste to attain this world of feminine essence and to create a poem. The feminine world is represented by diverses favourite symboles of mallarme : night, earth, water, mirror, star, bird, jewel, siren etc. . . Throughout our study, we will focus our attention specially on the fact that the poete, in order to achieve the essence of femininity, takes a passive attitude because every male force is to his a constrain and an inpediment. As soon as he senses a certain virility within him, he transforms it into a feminine force, which explains his perference of the arduous ascetisme to the disturbing violence. We can also notice this passive feminine attitude in all his riotous efforts of creation. To create is to him to give birth. Among all the feminine vocations, that of the virgin mary is the noblest. In "le livre" we can confirm that the two feminine aspects exist in harmony

Notre travail qui a porte sur l'etude de romans de science-fiction, ecrits entre les annees 30 et les annees 80, a permis de mettre en evidence certains themes recurrents concernant le corps feminin tel qu'il y est represente, figure et defigure : travailles par une tradition religieuse et mythologique, les recits d s. F. Inscrivent le corps feminin comme produit d'une "machination" dans laquelle font bon menage, le sexe et la technologie, la science et la pornographie. Symbole de la reification extreme de la femme, son corps y devient produit industriel soumis aux lois du marche. Sur la scene actuelle du complexe technologico-scientifique, c'est le feminin comme tel et sa specificite ancestrale, la capacite "naturelle" de reproduction, qui est supplante par la possibilite d'un engendrement qui se ferait non seulement sans lui, mais aussi bien sans sexe. Our work; based ont he study of science-fiction novels written between the thirties and the eighties, examines specific examples of some ways in which woman's body is presented, figured and disfigured, explores the impact of a religious and mythological tradition ont he science-fiction literature. Woman's body, just like an industrail product, is submitted to the market laws, symbol of woman's reification, result of a "machination", sex and technology, science and pornography being linked together. The ancestral feminine "natural" reproductive capacity is supplanted by the possibility of asexual reproduction. New symbolical and imaginary configurations are analysed in the light of recent research. Science and technology have profound effects on sex roles and definitions. Fiction, history, mythology and science, in their own language, ask the same questions about similitudes and differences between the sexes

Nous avons choisi de porter notre etude sur le vecu d'une societe insulaire privilegiant une approche globale, volontairement pluridisciplinaire, tout simplement anthropologique. Dans cette approche de la tradition corse nous avons essaye de privilegier ce mouvement vital qui sans cesse relie l'homme au cosmos par la puissance d'une "parole". Contes, legendes, pratiques, facons de dire et de faire sont les vecteurs de cette communication dynamique, que nous avons tente d'apprehender par l'etude d'une constellation de symboles que nous avons nomme le symbolisme feminin. Le symbolisme feminin, tel que nous tentons de l'aborder, ne nous revele pas une "conception du monde" intellectuelle et abstraite mais condense un rassemblement de puissances interieures d'ordre purement experimental. Cette experience s'ancre au plus profond d'un espace vecteur d'energies et source de comportements : l'ile. Cette constellation, nous avons tente de l'approcher en constituant un corpus des plus larges, regroupant divers aspects du vecu de notre societe. Car, cette diversite seule nous permet d'entrevoir sa coherence et sa dynamique. Il est clair que pour nous l'etude de ce corpus n'est pas une fin en soi, c'est un fil, un des fils que tisse cette societe, un des liens qui la relie au "monde", et c'est cette liaison que nous avons tentee de privilegier. Afin : "d'y deceler des correlations, des reseaux, des carrefours, des regularites, en un mot quelques unes des reverberations mysterieuses dont se trouve marque, ou illumine l'epiderme du monde, depuis les dessins des pierres dans la matiere inerte jusqu'aux images des poetes dans le jeu apparemment libre de l'imagination" (caillois (r) approches de l'imaginaire nrf gallimard paris 1990). Mais, entre memoire et oubli, entre tradition et modernite, la societe corse tente aujourd'hui de renegocier ce rapport au monde. Que devient alors la parole d'hier, quelles voies emprunte-t-elle, comment la societe corse reactualise-t-elle cette communication essentielle entre l'homme et le monde?
We have chosen to study the actual experience of an insular society. We emphasized a global approach, which, on purpose, is a multi-field research, merely anthropological. In our approach of corsican tradition, we tried to privilege the vital mouvement which constantly links man to the cosmos thanks to the power of the word. Tales, legends, customs, speech and action are vectors of the dynamic communication which we attempted to apprehend thanks to the study of a constelletion of symbols we called feminine symbolism. Feminine symbolism, as we try to deal with it, doesn't reveal an intellectual and abstract" conception of the world" but concentrates a gathering of purely experimental internal powers. This experience deeply anchors itself in a space which is the vehicle of energies and behaviour : the island. We tried to approach the constellation by creating a very large corpus, including several aspects of the actual experience of our society. For only this variety allows us to catch sight of its consistency and dynamism. It is obvious that the study of this corpus is not our main aim; it is a string, one of the strings that concoct our society, one of the links that connect it to the world; and we tried to lay the stress on that link in order to : "detect correlations, networks, cross-roads, regularities, in a word some of the mysterious reflections which mark or enlighten the epiderm of the world, from the drawing of stones in inanimate matter to the metaphors of the poets in the apparently free game of imagination" (caillos (r) approches de l'imaginaire gallimard nrf paris 1990). Yet, between memory and oblivion, between tradition and modernity, corsican society tries today to renegociate this relation to the world. What, then, is happening to yesterday's speech; whih course is it taking; how is corsican society bringing this fundamental communication between man and the world up to date?

This paper explores the contributing factors of the femicide in Ciudad Juárez, a city in Mexico just across the border from El Paso. This mass killing of women is an epidemic that has overtaken the city in the last two decades and has caused Ciudad Juárez to gain notoriety due to the high instances of violence and continued violation of women’s rights that occur within its borders. More specifically, this paper examines the contributing factors of NAFTA and the maquiladora industry present in Ciudad Juárez, as well as the increased independence of Mexican women and their challenging of traditional gender roles. It will also analyze factors specific to this community, such as the corruption of the police force and government, as well as the general impunity of men in Mexico. Finally, it will examine the ways in which the people of Ciudad Juárez are reacting to this wave of violence, namely through activism and other coping mechanisms.

Abstract:
Violence against women is a widespread global problem and a violation of human rights. An estimated 35% of all women in the world have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence, and the perpetrator in the majority of cases has been a current or former partner. This thesis addresses the topic of violence against women with a fatal outcome – femicide, which is a more extreme form of violence against women. The purpose of this work is to defend the thesis that femicide ought to be seen as a violation of human rights. A central assumption is that femicide is based on patriarchal structures and that it should, therefore, be regarded as a hate crime against women. In order to understand and interpret the pehnomenom of femicide, this work relies on an idea-analysis based on Michel Foucault and Raewyn Connell's relational power perspective. Conventions and declarations relating to femicide are analyzed to bring clarity to the violations that femicide constitutes. The results indicate that femicide is charactarized by misogynist- and structural violence and consitutes violations of the human rights. Protection from femicide is deficient, and femicide is often classified as murder. Several conventions and declarations exist that are designed for the purpose of protecting women from violence, but only one mentions violence against women with a fatal outcome. Power relations and patriarchal structures need to be highlighted and questioned in order to strengthen women's rights and freedom from violence and femicide.   Key words: Femicide, Violence against women, Human rights, Women’s rights, Patriarchal structures, Relational power.

Ma thèse s’appuie sur des recherches existantes sur le féminisme dans les littératures africaines pour retracer le rapport entre les modes de représentations du corps féminin et ses implications aussi bien sociales que politiques. Allant au-delà d’une simple représentation du corps féminin dans la littérature produite en français par des écrivains africains (hommes et femmes), je soutiens que le corps de la femme est devenu l’un des lieux de (résistance au) pouvoir à la fois pendant la colonisation et après l’indépendance de l’Afrique francophone. Dans ma thèse, j’utilise des critiques d’Odile Cazenave, Pierre Bourdieu, Gayatri Spivak et Julia Kristeva pour montrer que le corps de la femme en Afrique est littéralement devenu une métaphore de la nation entière. En fin de compte, ma thèse analyse la représentation du corps féminin noir dans son usage, ses fonctions, son espace et ses relations avec les pouvoirs sociaux et politiques. Je discute aussi des conditions mentales et structurales qui ont rendu possible les mécanismes qui ont facilite la construction d’un imaginaire du corps féminin noir. En m’appuyant sur les pérégrinations de la femme africaine plus connue sous le nom de Venus Hottentot, je soutiens en outre que les personnages féminins noirs sont en perpétuel combat pour réclamer leur corps,ses usages, comme la manifestation ultime de leur droit d’exister.

Nous sommes partie de l'hypothese que l'0n pouvait reconnaitre dans la bande dessinee espagnole actuelle l'emergence d'une nouvelle conception et d'une nouvelle expression du feminin. Une premiere partie est consacree a une approche globale et contemporaine du feminin et propose une delimitation theorique de cet angle d'analyse. Nous exposons ensuite les donnees socio-historiques qui permettent de rendre compte d'une histoire du feminin dans la bande dessinee espagnole de l'apresguerre a nos jours (le comic femenino, la rupture des annees 60-70, les annees 80 et la nouvelle generation) et nous faisons le point sur ce microcosme qu'est la bande dessinee espagnole. Nous passons ensuite a l'analyse de quatre recits de bande dessinee espagnole : mata hari de maria carmen vila et andres martin ; del infierno al paraiso, de laura perez vernetti-blina a josep maria lo duca ; la intrusa, conte de jose luis borges adapte par laura perez vernetti-blina ; el canto de la cabra de federico de barrio et elisa galves. Les recits ont ete selectionnes a partir d'un corpus etabli, en fonction de leur genre respectif (recit conventionnel, recit erotique, conte adapte et poeme en images), de la collaboration entre deux auteurs (le concept d'auteur etant primordial et selectif) et en fonction de la delimitation theorique du feminin enoncee ci-dessus. L'analyse part d'une premiere mise a plat de l'ensemble signifiant pour, peu a peu, atteindre les niveaux du contenu manifeste et du contenu latent du recit. Nous nous appuyons sur les travaux des theoriciens de la bande dessinee. L'angle d'analyse applique a un domaine artistique particulier (la bande dessinee espagnole) nous permet de montrer l'originalite des narrations, les possibilites peu explorees du moyen d'expression et le reflet qu'elles renvoient de l'emergence de divers types de sujets feminins dans notre monde contemporain
Assuming the hypothesis of the upsurge of a new conception and of a new expression of the female point of view in the current spanish comic strips, we have devoted the first, introducing part of our work to a global, contemporary approach of the female point of view, trying to define the theoretical range of this angle of analysis. We have proceeded on to highlight the socio-historic datas which enable us to put forward the evolution of the female point of view in the spanish comic strips starting after the second world war (the comic feminino, the breakthrough of the 60, 70's, the 80's and the new generation) ; eventually, we have tried to review the microcosm of the spanish comic strips. We have then analysed four different narratives : mata hari, by maria carmen vila and andres martin ; del infierno al paraiso, by laura perez vernetti-blina and josep maria lo duca ; la intrusa, a tale by jose luis borges, adapted by laura perez vernettiblina ; el canto de la cabra, by federico del barrio and elisa galves. The narratives have been selected on the basis of a preestablished corpus, according to : - their genre (conventional narrative, erotic narrative, adapted tale or iconographic poem), - the involvement of two different authors (the very concept of author is primordial and selective), - the above mentioned theoretical definition of the female point of view. The analysis starts from a first study of the immediate level of significance, progressively reaching the obvious, then the underlying level of the narratives. We have relied on the works of

La premiere partie s'interesse a la presence du vetement dans les textes, et a la facon dont flaubert nomme et decrit ce dernier; elle souligne egalement la facon dont les evocations vestimentaires sont distribuees dans les oeuvres (effets de masse et effets de place) en relation avec le fonctionnement romanesque et la structure des ecrits. La seconde partie fournit une analyse des liens existant entre le vetement et les personnages : le vetement est le symbole de son proprietaire, il a un impact non negligeable sur autrui et joue un role essentiel dans les relations entre les personnages. La derniere partie de cette these envisage le vetement de fiction dans ses rapports avec le reel, plus precisement avec la realite du xixe siecle, et avec l'imaginaire, le reve et l'illusion
The aim of this thesis is the study of men and women's clothes in flaubert's maturity works. The first part deals with the presence of clothes in the writings, and with the way flaubert is naming and describing clothes; it also highlights the way they are distributed in the works (how many clothes and where) in connection with the art of the novel and the structure of the writings. The second part consists in an analysis of the links between the clothes and the characters: clothes are the symbol of their owner, they have a significant impact on other characters and they play an essential part in the relationships between the characters. The last part of this thesis presents fictional clothes in relation with reality, more precisely the xixth century reality, and with imagination, dream and illusion

Les personnages feminins qui foisonnent dans l'oeuvre narrative de silvina ocampo (nee en 1903, decedee en 1994 en argentine) creent un monde a mi chemin entre le fantastique et le grotesque et suggerent une image de la femme multiple et dense de significations. L'analyse de quelques figures reparties dans toute l'oeuvre rend compte d'une problematique liee a l'identite et a la feminite, et ouvre la question de la creation pour le sujet feminin. Les deux premiers recits analyses, l'un fantastique, l'autre humouristique revelent l'alienation de la femme au paraitre et au desir masculin. Simulacre, la feminite s'inscrit pourtant comme une transgression si elle se fait creation. Elle est aussi transfiguree chez d'autres personnages qui choisissent l'animalite ou la metamorphose comme reponse a leur anadaptabilite au monde. L'onomastique signifiante, l'intertextualite et la reference aux mythes, le traitement specifique de l'espace fondent un fantastique original, ludique et transgresseur du fait que la femme franchit certaines limites et renvoie a l'irrationnel et au magique. L'ecrivain prete a ses personnages le pouvoir de tuer ou celui de voir dans les reves, renouant ainsi avec un ordre sacre. Ce parcours dans l'oeuvre de silvina ocampo s'acheve avec l'etude de l'espace, configuration du feminin
The feminine characters which are much in evidence in the narrative work of silvina ocampo (born 1903, died 1994 in argentina) create a world halfway between that of the fantastic and the grotesque , and suggest an image of women which is at once multiple and rich in meaning. The analysis of a selection of figures spread throughout his work brings to light a problem linked to identity and feminity and poses the question of the creation of the feminine subject. The first two short stories analysed, one fantastic, the other humouristic, revealthe alienation of female to the masculine desire. The pretence of feminity, however, is presented in the form of a transgression, if it become a creation. Other characters choose animality or metamorphosis as a means of escape from their environment. The study of characters' names, of intertextuality, the reference to myths, and the specific treatment of "space", create an original fantasticism, which is at once ludic and transgressive because female characters depass certain limits, and refer back to an irrational and magic order sometimes the writer gives his characters the power to kill or the ability to see in dreams. This exploration finishes with a study of space

Intimate femicide is prevalent in South Africa, and represents the lethal end of a continuum of male perpetrated intimate partner violence. For various reasons attention has only begun to be paid to intimate femicide in the last three decades. International research has established existing rates for intimate femicide, mostly in North America and the United Kingdom, and has confirmed that intimate femicide constitutes a unique form of homicide, which does not fit with the established patterns for other forms of homicide. South African studies have predominantly focused on establishing the rate of intimate femicide in the country. This study sought to examine a smaller number of intimate femicides (n=24) within a broader context in order to provide information, not only on the perpetrator and the victim, but also the state and status of their relationship, and to investigate how the perpetrator accounts for the event.

This thesis is going to present how online newspapers addresses femicide in Bolivia. Femicide is an increasing problem in a global context but according to “Small Arms Survey Study”, Bolivia is within the 25 countries listed, where the problem is widespread and is affecting more and more women every year. The context in Bolivia is highlighted by a patriarchal culture and high alcohol consumption in general. Women are suffering different kinds of violence: physical, emotional, economical, discrimination and even femicide which means “murder of women due to the fact that they are women” In this sense the current government enacted the law number 348 protecting women from violence in Bolivia. Analyzing the representation of femicide is highly important in a society where the number of cases have increased and even more important in a society where media plays an important role, because mass media is the reference of reality, facts and ideas that are present, in this case, in a Bolivian context and the daily life of its inhabitants. The theoretical framework is almost entirely focused on representation that in words of Stuart Hall means: “Representation is the production of the meaning of the concepts in our minds through language” (1997:17). Representation of femicide which in a Bolivian context could be identified and understood by its inhabitants as a positive or negative phenomenon. This study is will be conducted through a content analysis of 370 online articles, which were found in the website archives of three mayor newspaper in Bolivia; with in a period from January 2012 to May 2016. In this sense, this study chooses articles which developed some background about the crime, not articles which talk about political reports, international reports, law, and police reports and so forth. These articles mostly show statistics or even worse; presents some femicide cases as “one more case” or “another woman is dead” as part of a common and daily thing, normalizing the violence against women in Bolivia. This thesis found the main results described in the content analysis but also described how the process of the data collection was conducted. In this sense, presented examples from different perspectives and analyzed them more carefully. Examples that show part of the reality of how mass media represents femicide in Bolivia and contributes to the normalization of violence against women. The present thesis described how online newspaper, represent femicide in Bolivia through the content analysis of 370 articles, published in three mayor newspapers, between 2012 to 2016.

Mosaique et memoire studies paradigms that contribute to the construction of identity in the writings of thirteen Tunisian women novelists writing in French: Emna Bel Haj Yahia, Aicha Chaibi, Annie Fitoussi, Behija Gaaloul, Annie Goldmann, Souad Guellouz, Jelila Hafsia, Souad Hedri, Turkia Labidi Ben Yahia, Alia Mabrouk, Nine Moati, Katia Rubenstein, and Fawzia Zouari. Drawing upon post-colonial and feminist perspectives, this thesis analyzes texts through their poetics and in linguistic, cultural and literary contexts. Novels by women offer an inside view of women's evolution through a variety of characters representing three generations, just as they explore alternate ways of entering modernity based upon harmonizing traditional values (cultural roots, family, faith, community solidarity, a Mediterranean warmth of spirit, thinking "in Arabesques") with 'modern' values such as sexual equality and individual freedom.
Multiple women's voices protest patriarchal and colonial or racist discourse, but also reveal spaces of happiness in women's lives. Jewish voices at times reinforce views by Muslim authors but at others present opposing viewpoints, deconstructing concepts such as 'Arab identity' and questioning nationalist claims to Islamic tolerance and multiculturalism.
In these French-language novels, images and metaphors, as well as expressions in dialectical Arabic, recall the rich cultural heritage underlying national consciousness, the memory and the mosaic which form both individual and national identities. The juxtaposition of Arabic and French suggests both the cross-fertilization of cultures and the impossibility of naming the inexpressible, just as it contributes to deconstructing identity through the medium of the novel.

Nous nous interrogeons sur le processus de la feminisation et de la + defeminisation ; du corps dans ces rites. Mais entre ces trois seuils significatifs consacres et interpretes par les rites de passage, il y a toute la vie qui se deroule. Ainsi, nous analysons le murissement et l'epanouissement de l'individu a travers l'apprentissage du corps et des techniques corporelles au cours de l'enfance et de l'adolescence, l'etiquette, le quotidien et les formes de la sociabilite traditionnelles (chapitre 3). Le chapitre 5 traite la physiologie feminine et le discours sur la vocation de la femme. Dans le dernier chapitre, nous etudions la courte duree : le rythme du travail et de la fete au long de l'annee et la complementarite du masculin et du feminin dans le partage de travail. Dans quelle mesure la diversite des modes d'etre en famille entraine une modification des roles sexuels traditionnels ? la premiere et la seconde parties analysent la forme familiale "bourgeoise", et la montee de l'individualisme qui entrainent une reorganisation des domaines prives et publics le cadre familial devient le lieu de realisation de l'humain, les rapports de dependance affectifs se developpent, produisant des effets differencies sur les hommes et sur les femmes. La dependance des femmes vis-a-vis des hommes s'organise progressivement autour du fait qu'elles ne trouvent les moyens de leur reconnaissance sociale que dans l'autre sexe. A partir d'une enquete sur 45 familles (biparentales, monoparentales issues d'un divorce ou d'un celibat) la demarche cherche a saisir les modes d'organisation, de repartition et de delegation des activites au sein des familles. L'analyse montre que la diversite des structures familiales ne modifie pas profondement la structure generale de l'echange sexuel, meme si les modalites de la difference sexuelle au sein du prive s'en trouvent renouvelees
In this thesis c. Guillot analyses how relation-ships between men and women night differ according to family setting (married couple, single or divorced but all with children). In the eightieth century middle class family was characterized by the fact that woman recognition was mainly domestic through high subjection on husband. Emerging needs of humanism will, step by step, lead to a new way of life at home. A recent survey, based on 45 different kind of families, tries to understand how inside and outside domestic assignments get settled according to family setting. I uppsatsen görs en kvalitativ textanalys av tre böcker utgivna under 1850-talet. Studien har ett genushistoriskt perspektiv. I böckerna undersöks vilka bilder det finns av manligt och kvinnligt och relationen mellan dessa manligheter och kvinnligheter. Syftet med studien är att synliggöra dessa bilder och relationer. Skönlitteratur behandlar hur författaren tolkar sin egen samtid och de värden och strukturer som fanns. Därav analyseras genusstrukturerna i böckerna i denna uppsats. Undersökningen har baserats på Joan Scotts teori om att genus utspelas på flera nivåer i samhället och R. W. Connells teori och kategorisering av pluraliteten av maskuliniteter. Utefter Scotts och Connells teorier har ett analysschema skapats som använts i studien. Resultatet visar att bilderna av manligt och kvinnligt överlag liknar varandra i böckerna med några mindre variationer. Det finns både normbyggande och normbrytande karaktärer och relationer i böckerna. Det finns hegemonisk femininitet som står över underordnad maskulinitet samtidigt som det finns hegemoniska maskuliniteter som står över den hegemoniska femininiteten. Det finns även män som genom andra attribut eller tillvägagångssätt uppnår värdet av hegemonisk maskulinitet utan att vara hegemonisk maskulinitet och är då antingen marginaliserad eller delaktig. Det finns exempel på femininiteter som är både överordnad och underordnad samtidigt som det finns femininitet som är dubbelt underordnad. Även maskulinitet kan vara dubbelt underordnad, en underordnad maskulinitet som är underordnad både hegemonisk maskulinitet och hegemonisk femininitet. Därav kan det fastslås att kvinnan inte alltid är undertryckt av män och män är inte alltid den som undertrycker i dessa tre klassiker.

Par le biais d'une approche anthropologique, le rugby se percoit autant comme une pratique sportive qu'un style de vie. L'integration de l'individu dans la communaute rugbystique implique en effet un type de socialisation qui, dans sa duree, correspond generalement au cycle de vie. Le parcours biographique du rugbyman est jalonne d'experiences individuelles, inscrites dans un collectif extremement soude et structure, concernant aussi bien la vie sportive que privee. La construction de la masculinite semble a bien des egards respecter les bases d'une initiation classique a l'identite sexuelle occidentale. Neanmoins, apres l'etape jugee socialement primordiale et decisive qu'est le mariage, les joueurs, dans leur grande majorite, continuent a avoir des comportements d'adolescents et paraissent avoir arrete le passage du temps, pour vivre eternellement leur jeunesse; phenomene qui concerne en fait un temps dont la mesure depend de la duree de la pratique. La troisieme mi-temps s'avere etre le moment des principaux enjeux du rugby et de sa fonction dans une biographie masculine. L'observation et l'analyse du deroulement de celle-ci, pour en degager la signification, ne peuvent etre separees du temps du match. La principale specificite du rugby est la double nature du contact qu'il exige: d'une part agonistique entre adversaires, d'autre part sympathique, et meme affectif, entre partenaires. La troisieme mi-temps prolonge ce contact entre joueurs des deux equipes sur un mode ludique, ou l'agressivite est tournee en derision, ainsi que l'erotisme reste latent. La gestion de l'homosexualite, par une mise en scene collective d'un "homo-erotisme" etant la phase paroxystique et cathartique. L'etude du rugby feminin et du discours que les joueurs tiennent a son sujet ne fait qu'amplifier la perception de ce sport comme le "lieu" de construction de la masculinite, avec son conformisme et ses originalites
Through an anthropological approach rugby is seen as much a way of life as a sport. The time spent in the rugby community implies a behavioural pattern which generally corresponds to the life cycle. The life of a rugbyman is marked by individual experiences, taking place in a well structured and close knit society, linked as much to his private life as his sporting life. The development of the male in many respects seems to follow the classic western approach to sexuality. However, after marriage, which is generally considered a definitive social step, the great majority of players continue to behave as adolescents and appear to stop the clock of life in order to live perpetually in their youth: a phenomena limited in time to the practice of the sport. The after-match celebration has an essential place in rugby and the development of the men who play it. One cannot understand the significance of the this event by observation and analysis outside the context of the match. The uniqueness of rugby is that it combines two contrary aspects of physical contact; on the one hand, adversity towards the opposition and on the other hand comradeship even fondness between team-mates. The after-match celebration prolongs the contact between the two teams on a sporting level where adversity and latent eroticism is replaced by mockery. The homosexuality is controlled by staging a collective "homo-erotic" act, being the culmination of the match. The study of female rugby and the comments of rugby men on the subject simply amplify the conception of this sport as a training ground of masculinity with its conventionality and originality

Frågeställningarna som behandlas i denna kandidatuppsats är: Hur kan samtida konstnärer utmana rådande könsroller genom att inkorporera dess könsspecifika uttryckssätt (här: femininitet och dess bibetydelser) i sin konst? Samt: Vari ligger den politiska potentialen i en sådan strategi? Uppsatsen är skriven ur ett feministiskt perspektiv och berör de delvis överlappande fälten konsthantverk, design och konst, med en gemensam genusproblematik. Studien undersöker hur en maximalistisk feminin estetik kan verka som feministisk taktik, vilket karakteriseras genom semiotiska analyser av tre skulpturala verk i teknikerna glas och keramik. Materialet belyses utifrån en craftivism-teori vilken syftar till att föra samman de två separata sfärerna hantverk och aktivism samt en femme-inism-teori i vilken femininiteten är ”vald” snarare än ”påtvingad” kvinnan. Undersökningen visar att en maximalistisk feminin estetik kan användas i konsten som feministisk strategi. Den politiska potentialen i sådana verk står bland annat att finna i de rumsliga begrepp som verken förenar med konsten. Den historiska placeringen av kvinnans görande och smak i hemmets sfär, öppnar upp för den feminina estetiken att verka som politiskt redskap, när de kvinnliga värdena genom konsten flyttas ut i det offentliga rummet.

Voila qui justifie l'appellation psychopatholo gie de la guerison, dont les developpements theoriques se fondent sur les donnees de l'experience clinique. Si, concerna nt le domaine de la cancerologie de l'enfant, il parait aller de soi que la guerison physique, une fois constatee et ann oncee par le medecin, concerne uniquement l'enfant qui a ete en danger de mort, il n'en est pas de meme de ce qu'il conv ient d'appeler la guerison psychique. Cette derniere n'est pas l'affaire exclusive de l'enfant devenu grand, elle impliq ue tout autant, sinon en priorite, ses parents. Et l'on se donne ici pour but de monter comment, dans sa dimension psychique, la guerison est obtenue lorsque chacun trouve ou retrouve le sentiment de son identite ou, pour exprimer les choses dans la langue du quotidien, retrouve la possibilite de dire "moi. . . Je". Cela etant, guerison physique et gueriso n psychique ne sont pas dissociables, meme si elles ne s'effectuent pas conjointement. Un tel decalage s'explique par la remise en circulation, dans les pensees et dans les fantasmes des parents, de certaines representations jusqu'alors ref oulees ou occultees par les preoccupations relatives a la maladie de l'enfant. Ces representations, qui se manifestent generalement par la mise en question des esperances de vie rendues a l'enfant, mettent en evidence la fonction de fantas mes inconscients ayant pour theme la perspective ineluctable d'une mort a venir. L'hypothese, ici soutenue, est la suiva nte : en admettant qu'il soit pertinent d'accoler le qualificatif d'infanticide a ces representations, on ne saurait se satisfaire d'estimer qu'elles trahissent des voeux de mort purement et simplement destines a l'enfant reel. The difficulty in believing in recovery cannot be explained by the laws of reason, since its acceptance is normally rule d by an internal logic whose stakes are both manifold and overdetermined. Here is what a psychopathology of recovery mea ns as its theoretical developments are grounded on clinical data. If indeed it seems obvious, in the field of child cancerology, that physical recovery, once acknowledged and foretold by the doctor, refers only to the child that has bee n running a lethal danger, the status of what is normally called psychological recovery is far from being the same. The latter is not just at stake for the child when he or she has become an adult it also implies (if not most of the time ev en more) his parents. And our aim here is to show how, within its psychological dimension, recovery does exist only when each one recovers feeling of his identity or, to mention things with a more commonplace wording, when one is resuming the possibility of saying in everyday language : "i. . . Do. . . ". Yet physical recovery and psychological re covery are far from being easily distinguished even if they do not take place jointly. Such a time lag can be accounted for through the new surge within the parents' thoughts and fantasies of some representations thitherto repressed or conc ealed because of concerns with the child's sickness. These representations wich normally arise through the questioning o f life hopes restored to the child, stress the function of unconscious fantasies around the theme of an unescapable pros pect of death to come. Our hypothesis here held is as follows : if we may believe it pertinent to qualify such represent ations as being infanticide, we cannot accept to admit that they betray death wishes solely aimed at the real child. It would rather seem that the child himself is the privileged seat of such wishes. (. . . )

Elle se propose de mettre en evidence le nombre abondant de references feminines en luc-actes, la place que ces references occupent dans ce recit et le role qu'elles jouent dans la structuration litteraire et theologique de cette oeuvre. L'oeuvre a theophile contient plus de references a des femmes que tout autre ecrit du nouveau testament. Ces references sont placees a des endroits cles du recit lucanien, contribuent a creer des contrastes, des correspondances, des analogies entre l'evangile et les actes et constituent une sous-structure litteraire qui met en parallele les personnages feminins et les personnages masculins. Luc a dispose ces references feminines notamment selon deux criteres. Un critere formel celui du parallelisme, dont la forme la plus achevee est celle de la parite feminin-masculin. Un critere theologique qui s'exprime a travers ce support formel et qui traduit une tension entre une realite sodo-religieuse qui devalorise les femmes et le souci de revalorisation theologique et ecclesiologique de celles-ci. L'ensemble de ces donnees sont analysees dans cette these, en deux volumes. Le premier considere le macro-contexte litteraire des references feminines de luc-actes. Il aborde : les paralleles, les analogies et les contrastes externes (entre luc et les autres evangiles, ch. I. ) ; l'emplacement des passages dans le recit (ch. Ii), les paralleles, les analogies et les contrastes internes (entre l'evangile et les actes, ch. Iii-iv). "women in luke-acts: forms of the feminine-masculine parity" is a study on the women in the work to theophilus. It attempts to show the significant number of references to women in luke-acts, the position that they have in the narrative and the role that they play in the literary and theological structure of luke-acts. The work to theophilus has more references to women than any other new testament writing. These references are located in key places of the narrative and contribute to create particular contrasts, correspondences and analogies between the gospel of luke and the book of acts and represent a literary substructure that discloses the parallelism between feminine and masculine characters. Luke has arranged the references to women following two criteria in particular: (1) a formal criterion, that of the parallelism, whose most accomplished form is that of the feminine-masculine parity and (2) a theological criterion that conveys the tension between the socio-religious reality that undervalues women, and the concern for their theological and ecclesiological vindication. These elements are analyzed in this thesis in two sections. The first section deals with the feminine references in the litterary macro context. This includes the parallels, analogies and contrasts between luke and the other gospels (chapter i); the position of the passages in the narrative (chapter ii), the parallels, analogies and contrasts between the gospel and the book of acts ( chapters iii-iv). The second section, dealing with the feminine-masculine parity, list the feminine-masculine pairs in the gospel and acts, and analyse then according to formal categories (chapters vi-viii). An interpretative and conclusive summary of these parity is given in the last chapter (ix)

In our study of Le recit amoureux feminin actuel, we attempt to explain women's preference for the narrative mode, to describe the new vocabulary of love and highlight its specific meaning and style. How do women write about love, how do they portray men, what have become their amorous preoccupations in the recent years?
Si tes reves m'etaient contes is the story of Catherine who, fast approaching her forties, reflects upon her life and her marriage. She is forced to conclude that her husband, whom she thought she knew so intimately, is no longer the man she married. He has become a stranger to her.

Siguiendo la tendencia de otros países de la región, el feminici­dio —el asesinato de mujeres por razones de género— ha sido incorporado en la legislación peruana como un tipo penal. Dicha inclusión es resultado del interés del Estado y las organizaciones de la sociedad civil en producir políticas dirigidas a reducir la violen­cia de género, y ha marchado en correlato a un discurso sobre «el aumento del feminicidio» y a la aparición sistemática de noticias mediáticas e informes oficiales que advierten sobre su crecimiento exponencial. Este artículo muestra la situación del feminicidio en el Perú a través de una perspectiva comparada. El objetivo es dar cuenta de la incidencia del feminicidio en términos sociométricos y mostrar que no se trata de un fenómeno en crecimiento exponencial en términos epidemiológicos. Esto en función de reconocer dos problemas: por un lado, la manera de construir indicadores para cifras de registro criminal y sus formas de medición; por otro, para dar cuenta de la importancia de este fenómeno en una estructura de violencia más compleja y extendida.
Like other countries in the region, femicide—the gender-based murdering of women—has been incorporated into Peruvian law as a criminal offense. This inclusion is the result of the government and civil society organizations interest in producing policies aimed at reducing gender-based violence, and it has emerged as a result of a debate regarding «the increase in femicide» and the systematic appearance of media stories and official reports warning of an exponential growth. This article focuses upon the problem of femicide in Peru through a comparative approach. The aim is to account for the incidence of femicide in sociometric terms and demonstrate that this is not a phenomenon of exponential growth in epidemiological terms. This is achieved through the recognition of two issues: on the one hand, the way indicators are produced for criminal record figures and the ways these are measured; and on the other hand, through recognition of the importance of the significance of this phenomenon within a more complex and broader structure of violence.

This dissertation consists of three parts, each of which is divided into two chapters exploring alternately the female characters and the places that mark remembrance of things past. From odette to combray, from oriane to balbec, from albertine to gomorrah, a movement is apparent in proust's novel that, beyond the analogy between women and places, is suggestive of a more profound analogy between the body as place, or place as the (female) body. In shifting to-and-fro, from the mosaic of maternal - or more precisely maternal "feminine - themes coloring combray to the feminity of which odette is the veritable embodiment, from the "third sex", as radiant as it is ambiguous, of the young girls of balbec to the triumphant sensuality of the duchess, whose witticisms, however, dissimulate a hatred of women that is nothing other than a self-hatred, or again, from the lost country of gomorrah to the corrosive negativity of albertine, proust weaves a web drawing ever tighter together his own psychic territories, where the fascination for woman as enigma coexists with a hatred of the feminine in its dual aspect of mystification and falsehood. But, by the same stroke, proust presents us with an archaic site that both relates to and is replete with an unattainable jouissance or ecstasy, as invisible as it is ineffable; this site finds its metaphor in gomorrah as the most acute and hazardous expression of a feminine bisexuality. Freud's theory of female sexuality - in particular his hypotheses and investigations concerning the pre-oedipal phase of female psychosexuality - guides this exploration of the main female characters of proust's novel in providing the perspective in which to gauge the illustration and development of the diverse notions of femininity, the feminine and bisexuality wrought in the remembrance of things past

Den här uppsatsen handlar om svenska tidningars rapportering om konflikterna och massvåldtäkterna i Demokratiska republiken Kongo, med ett syfte att kartlägga hur ofta tidningarna skriver om femicide. Med en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ metod har vi undersökt rapporteringen i Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet och Expressen under ett års tid, från den 18 november 2008 till den 18 november 2009. Vi valde dessa tidningar eftersom de är fyra av Sveriges största tidningar. Vi har valt att titta på hur mycket tidningarna skriver om kvinnor i DRK och hur de framställer kvinnan. Vi tror att ett ökat medieutrymme om konflikterna och massvåldtäkterna är av stor betydelse i förståelsen och medvetenheten av det femicide som pågår i DRK, vilket tidningarna kan bidra med till sina läsare.

Två frågeställningar som vi har utgått från är: Får konflikten och massvåldtäkterna tillräckligt utrymme? Och hur invecklad och komplex är rapporteringen av våldet mot kvinnorna?

Huvudresultatet visar att Expressen skrev minst om situationen, därefter Aftonbladet. Tidningen som skrev flest artiklar var Dagens Nyheter och sedan Svenska Dagbladet. Kvinnorna i DRK kommer sällan till tals i texterna utan istället är det andra personer som talar om och för dem. Ofta får kvinnan endast rollen som offer.

Feminicides are the gender motivated killings of women. In other words, they are the killing of women because they are women. This difference in motive from homicides means that feminicides merit legal distinction, which led all 32 Mexican states to reform their penal codes in order to include feminicide. This paper investigates the evolution of feminicide typifications across states, and evaluates whether states with stronger feminicide laws have been more effective at enforcing justice by having higher prosecution rates for feminicides. Three factors are of particular importance when measuring the strength of feminicide laws: (1) the number of objective criteria used to recognize gender motive; (2) the presence of subjective elements; and (3) the recognition of feminicide as an autonomous crime. This paper finds that between 2010 and 2017, the typification of feminicide laws improved for all three criteria, but many states continue to have laws that are far from ideal. Over the last decade, feminicide prosecution rate fell as a result of an increase in violence throughout the country, even though the number of feminicide prosecutions increased. Yet the strength of the laws had a positive and significant effect on feminicide prosecutions, suggesting that the decrease in the feminicide prosecution rate would have been greater were it not for the stronger laws. This paper finds that the average improvement in the feminicide laws led to an increase in the feminicide prosecution rate of between 12% and 21%

Le travail propose une lecture analytique, d'inspiration freudienne, des ecrits de marguerite yourcenar, en prenant pour axe principal la notion de feminin, et en visant conjointement a demeler quelques-uns des ressorts inconscients qui ont preside a l'ecriture. La premiere partie s'articule autour du deni dont la mere est l'objet : representation de la mere et de la mort maternelle survenue a la naissance de l'enfant, liens avec le glacage des affects, deplacement sur la figure animale, mise a jour d'une structure fantasmatique recurrente. La seconde partie est consacree a la representation clivee du feminin. Elle met en evidence une topologie singuliere propre aux figures feminines, celle d'un espace de l'entre-deux morts ou le sado-masochisme et l'abject voisinent avec le sublime en temoignant d'un deuil maternel non accompli. La troisieme partie interroge la fonction structurante de l'ecriture, ses conditions operantes, comme ses limites. Elle s'attache a suivre la recherche d'une enonciation ideale, quete d'un modele masculin, accroche symbolique qui permet une identification imaginaire et en meme temps une nomination de l'insoutenable. Elle en degage les paradoxes, analyse l'enjeu attache au respect de la loi symbolique et surprend les sourds echos de sa remise en cause, trace de l'abime melancolique
This study, based upon marguerite yourcenar's writings, is a psychoanalytic reading, in a freudian way, focused on the notion of the feminine and on the unconscious factors which presided over the writing. The first part points out the denial abouth the mother who died at the child's birth. The mother's and mother's death's representations, the link with the affects' "freezing", the displacement on the animal figure, the presence of a recurrent phantasmatic structure are described. The second part deals with the splitting of the feminine's representation. It points out a specific topology related to feminine figures, a "between-two-deaths' space", where the sado-masochism and the abject cohabit with the sublime, giving evidence to a non-achieved mother's mourning. The third part questions the structuring function of the writing, its operating conditions and its limits. The search of an ideal enunciation is analysed as the quest of a masculine model, whose works as a symbolic grip which gives access to an imaginary identification and a nomination of the unbearable. The paradox of this quest are pointed out, especially the meaning of the attention given to the respect of the symbolic law and the tenuous echos of its questioning, traces of the melancholic abyss
