Abstract:
This article embodies the image of a strong independent woman, reflected in works from two different cultures, namely Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre and Rashod Nuri Gultegin’s Cholikushi. Both works are examples of autobiographical work. It reflects the path that Jane Eyre and Ferede have taken throughout their lives, how they can continue their lives without falling through hardships and obstacles, that is, the lives of women who have been able to restrain their patience and perseverance. Life never stops, it never stops. Happiness can be achieved only by overcoming the difficulties of life. Every woman has her own place in society and worldview. It is no exaggeration to say that these two works reflect the same two views. That is, women are the beauty of the world.

Abstract:
The chromogenic substrates ferrozine and ferene were compared to bathophenanthroline disulphonic acid for the measurement of iron concentrations in aqueous and serum samples in an assay based on that of the Iron Panel of the International Committee for Standardisation in Haematology. Ferrozine and ferene were more sensitive than bathophenanthroline. Copper at physiological concentrations in plasma caused only minimal positive interference with all three chromogenic substrates when thioglycollic acid was used as the reducing agent, but when ascorbic acid was used significant positive interference occurred with ferrozine and ferene. Interference due to contaminating haem was comparable with all agents. Bilirubin and carotene produced no interference. Profound reductions in colour development were noted with EDTA plasma.

Abstract:
An influential historian of constitutional and economic history, Ferenc Eckhart, contributed greatly to the Hungarian historical writing in the first half of the 20th century. He paved the way for a much more historical and analytical view of constitutional history while fiercely debating narrow-minded, nationalist interpretations of Hungarian constitutional history. This paper attempts to give a short overview of this ouvre and to highlight the progressive elements in his historical writing.

Abstract:
The Fered-Fenton process using Ti sheet as cathode and RuO2/Ti as anode was employed for the pretreatment of dry-spun acrylic fiber manufacturing wastewater. The effects of feeding mode and concentration of H2O2 on chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal efficiency as well as the biodegradability variation during the Fered-Fenton process were investigated. The feeding mode of H2O2 had significant influence on COD removal efficiency: the removal efficiency was 44.8% if all the 60.0 mM H2O2 was fed at once, while it could reach 54.1% if the total H2O2 was divided into six portions and fed six times. The biochemical oxygen demand/COD ratio increased from 0.29 to above 0.68 after 180 min treatment. The transformation characteristics of organic pollutants during the Fered-Fenton process were evaluated by using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and fluorescence excitation–emission matrix (EEM) spectroscopy. Most of the refractory organic pollutants with aromatic structure or large molecular weight were decomposed during the Fered-Fenton process.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Loading cells with magnetic nanoparticles, and tracking their fate in vivo by high resolution MRI, is an attractive approach for enhancing the efficacy of cell-based therapies including those utilizing hematopoietic stem cells, neuroprogenitor cells, and T cells. The transfection agent (internalization agent) assisted loading with the Feridex IV® nanoparticle is an attractive method of loading because of the low cost of materials, and possible low regulatory barriers for eventual clinical use. We therefore explored the interaction between Feridex IV® and three internalization agents protamine (PRO), polylysine (PLL), and lipofectamine (LFA). Feridex reacted with internalization agents to form aggregates, except when either the internalization agent or Feridex was present in large excess. When Jurkat T cells were incubated with Feridex/LFA or Feridex/PRO mixtures, and washed by centrifugation, nanoparticle aggregates co-purified with cells. With C17.2 cells large iron oxide particles adhered to the cell surface. At 30 μg/mL Feridex and 3 μg/mL LFA, internalization was largely mediated by LFA and was largely cytoplasmic. However, we found that the conditions used to label cells with Feridex and transfection agents need to be carefully selected to avoid the problems of surface adsorption and nanoparticle precipitation.

Abstract:
Abstract We studied the heterogeneity of high-density lipoproteins (HDL) in plasma of 110 subjects, using three different methods: (a) gradient gel electrophoresis (GGE); (b) electroimmunoassay, to measure the concentration of lipoprotein particles containing apoprotein (apo) AI but no apo-AII (LP AI); and (c) cholesterol esterification rate (FERHDL) in very-low- and low-density lipoprotein-depleted plasma. There were two study groups: patients with hypertension, whose plasma lipid profile was similar to their respective controls, and patients with hypoalphalipoproteinemia (hypoalpha), whose family members served as controls. Values for FERHDL were significantly higher in both risk groups than in their respective controls. LP AI was significantly decreased only in the hypoalpha subjects. Generally, LP AI and FERHDL were inversely related. LP AI correlated strongly with plasma HDL-cholesterol, apo AI, and LP AI/AII; FERHDL correlated with those values inversely. LP AI, but not FERHDL, correlated with HDL free cholesterol. On the other hand, FERHDL correlated strongly with plasma concentrations of triglycerides and with the plasma ratio of total/HDL-cholesterol while LP AI did not. GGE determination of the composition of HDL subspecies showed that both FERHDL and LP AI were significantly related to the content of HDL2b particles: FERHDL inversely, LP AI directly; the relative amount of HDL3b,c particles correlated only with FERHDL. We conclude that GGE and FERHDL can be used to quantify both the apparently protective (HDL2b) and risk-associated (HDL3b,c) particles, whereas the concentration of LP AI in plasma mainly reflects the concentration of the HDL2 subpopulation.

Abstract:
Time se u konačnici dolazi do spoznaja o potencijalnim dobrobitima i prednostima korištenja ovih instituta u praksi.
