Abstract:

Heavy metals particularly Arsenic has been reported to alter the internal structures of plants in various ways due to higher levels of toxicity. The impacts of varying concentrations (0 mg/Kg, 30 mg/Kg, 90 mg/Kg and 150 mg/Kg) of Arsenic contamination on leaflet and stipe anatomy of <em>Pteris vittata </em>and <em>P. ensiformis </em>were investigated. The aim was to assess how Arsenic contaminations influence the anatomical properties of these plants. One fernlet was transplanted into each pot containing 5 Kg of soil treated with different concentrations of arsenic. After 12 weeks of planting, the transverse sections of the leaflets and stipes in all the treatments were made, stained and mounted for microscopic observation. The result showed slight changes in the shape and reduction in thicknesses of epidermal and mesophyll cells of <em>P. vittata</em> unlike <em>P. ensiformis </em>in which the anatomical properties changed and reduced drastically as the Arsenic concentration increases<em>. </em>The lethal impact was observed in the 150 mg/Kg treatment of <em>P. ensiformis </em>on the fourth week as the plants died. Also, the effect of Arsenic was minimal on the stipe of <em>P. vittata</em> unlike <em>P. ensiformis</em>. Therefore, this result further affirmed that Arsenic has low negative impact on the internal structures of <em>P. vittata</em> compared to <em>P. ensiformis</em>.

Abstract:

In this paper, we have studied major pomo-technological properties and productivity of standard French walnut cultivars (’Marbot’, ’Parisisenne’ and ’Franqete’), newly developed ones (’Fernor’, ’Fernet’) and standard cv. ’Elit’, grown in the region of Čačak. Newly bred cultivars had more favourable vegetation onset, although their fruits were smaller, with lower fruit weight. The average yield per tree ranged from 8.7 kg in ’Elit’ to 13.7 kg in ’Fernete’ (the highest yield was in ’Fernor’, 15.0 kg), i.e. from 870 to 1370 kg (1500 kg/ha). The lowest kernel ratio per tree was in ’Elit’ (4.5 kg, 450 kg) while it was the highest in ’Fernete’ (6.6 kg, 660 kg/ha) and ’Fernor’ (7.4 kg, 740 kg/ha).

Abstract:

ZusammenfassungSeit Platon wird vermutet, dass aktives Musizieren positive Auswirkungen auf affektive, kognitive und soziale Fähigkeiten junger Menschen hat. Man unterscheidet heute nahe und ferne Transfereffekte. Während nahe Effekte auditive und davon abgeleitet sprachliche Fähigkeiten betreffen, spricht man von fernen Transfereffekten, wenn es um allgemeinere Fähigkeiten geht. In den letzten 20 Jahren wurden eine Reihe empirischer Untersuchungen zu nahen als auch zu fernen Transfereffekten publiziert. Wir stellen exemplarisch Ergebnissen dieser Studien vor und diskutieren den gesellschaftlichen Stellenwert der gefundenen positiven Auswirkungen aktiven Musizierens.

Abstract:

Die vorliegende Magisterarbeit besteht aus zwei Teilen: Der eine umfasst die italienische Übersetzung von Daniel Kehlmanns Novelle Der fernste Ort, der andere eine Einführung zum Text und zur künstlerischen Biographie des in der Literaturszene der deutschen Gegenwart besonders prominenten Autors. Die frühe Erzählung von beträchtlichem Umfang wurde in Deutschland im Jahr 2001 veröffentlicht, ist aber in Italien auch mangels einer italienischen Fassung im Gegensatz zum größten Teil der literarischen Produktion des Schriftstellers weitgehend unbeachtet geblieben. Auch in der deutschsprachigen Welt hat Der fernste Ort zunächst kein großes Interesse geweckt, was auch für andere frühe Texte Kehlmanns gilt. Erst mit der Herausgabe von Die Vermessung der Welt (2005) begann der außerordentliche Erfolg des Autors, der nun sowohl in der Wertschätzung der Kritik als auch in der des Lesepublikums hohen Stellenwert erlangte. Mit der hier angebotenen Übersetzung von Der fernste Ort und der den Text in die Grundkonzepte von Kehlmanns Poetologie und seine Kernthemen einführenden Analyse soll die Novelle dem italienischen Leser zugänglich und zugleich deutlich gemacht werden, welche Bedeutung die Novelle für das spätere Werk Kehlmanns hat.

Abstract:

The article offers different combinations of cryptographic and steganographic algorithms. The cryptographic algorithms of Caesar, Fernet and RSA are considered and programmatically implemented. The LSB method was used as a basis for the steganographic algorithms, as it was used in various modifications in order to increase the invisibility and detectability of the hidden message. Experimental results show that the use of a combination of cryptographic and steganographic algorithms on social networks increases the security and undetectability of secret messages.

Im Rahmen der Integrationsmassnahmen des Bundes für Personen aus dem Asylbereich hat das Staatssekretariat für Migration (SEM) im Jahr 2018 zusammen mit 17 Kantonen ein Pilotprogramm zur frühzeitigen Sprachförderung von Asylsuchenden lanciert. Dieses hat vielerorts einen wichtigen Impuls für eine rasch einsetzende Sprachförderung gegeben. Praktisch alle befragten Fachpersonen und Geflüchteten schätzen das Angebot und sind der Ansicht, dass Geflüchtete dadurch besser auf die kommenden Integrationsschritte vorbereitet sind. In der vorliegenden experimentellen Studie wurden erstmals Probanden mit der Aufgabe konfrontiert, reale Aktienkursverläufe ex ante zu prognostizieren, um den Zusammenhang der Verhaltensanomalien Overcondidence und Correlation Neglect zu analysieren. Es zeigt sich, dass die Teilnehmer der Studie ihre Prognosefähigkeiten in erheblichem Umfang überschätzen (Overconfidence). Ein großer Teil der Probanden (42,2%) vernachlässigt die Korrelationen der Renditeentwicklung verschiedener Anlageinstrumente (Correlation Neglect). Ferner zeigt sich, dass sich die Correlation Neglect bei der Kursprognose von diversifizierten Anlageinstrumenten (Fonds) dämpfend auf die Overconfidence auswirkt.

Abstract:

Diese experimentelle Untersuchung wendet sich der Frage zu, ob positive und negative Affekte einen Einfluss auf das Diversifikationsverhalten haben. Dabei zeigt sich, dass nur ein kleiner Teil der Probanden dem Rationalkalkül folgt und stets das optimale Portfolio wählt. Ferner zeigt sich, dass die Stimmungs-lage der Wirtschaftssubjekte einen Einfluss auf ihre Portfolioentscheidungen und somit auch auf ihre Risikoexponierung hat. Das durchschnittliche Risiko der Portfolios – gemessen an der Standardabweichung der Renditen – fällt im Treatment „Neutral“ deutlich niedriger aus als im Treatment „Positiv“ und im Treatment „Negativ“.

Abstract:

Internationale Studierende brechen ihr Studium deutlich häufiger ab als deutsche Studierende. Häufig werden dafür insbesondere nicht ausreichende Sprachkompetenzen verantwortlich gemacht. In diesem Beitrag werden Kernergebnisse eines Projekts geschildert, das den Zusammenhang von Deutschkompetenzen mit dem Studienerfolg von internationalen Studierenden im Bachelorstudium empirisch untersuchte. Die Befunde verweisen auf sehr heterogene Sprachkompetenzen zum Studienstart und Schieflagen beim sprachlichen Hochschulzugang. Ferner zeigte sich, dass insbesondere rezeptive Kompetenzen (Lesen, Hören) tatsächlich eine wichtige Rolle für den objektiven Erfolg in der Studieneingangsphase spielen. Für den subjektiven Studienerfolg und die soziale und akademische Integration (die wiederum für den objektiven Studienerfolg eine entscheidende Rolle spielen) erwiesen sich andere sprachliche Faktoren als bedeutsam, insbesondere der Umfang des Sprachkontakts auf Deutsch.
