Relatório de estágio do mestrado em Economia (Economia Industrial), apresentado à Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra, sob a orientação de Mário Augusto e Nuno Ramos<br>Este relatório pretende descrever o processo de internacionalização das empresas, aplicando o estudo em causa a uma empresa – Ferneto, S.A.. Deste modo são analisadas as capacidades e os diferentes fatores internos e externos à empresa que afetam o seu processo de internacionalização. O objetivo principal deste estágio é então, analisar as formas de internacionalização da Ferneto, S.A.. Foram analisados: o caso específico do Brasil e a experiência da empresa noutros mercados externos. A internacionalização do Brasil realizou-se através de investimento direto, ao contrário de muitos outros países, para os quais efetuam apenas exportações esporádicas. Apresento ainda as principais tarefas desenvolvidas na Ferneto, S.A., nomeadamente no departamento financeiro, e quais os seus contributos que melhoraram as minhas capacidades, tanto a nível pessoal como profissional.

Die vorliegende Magisterarbeit besteht aus zwei Teilen: Der eine umfasst die italienische Übersetzung von Daniel Kehlmanns Novelle Der fernste Ort, der andere eine Einführung zum Text und zur künstlerischen Biographie des in der Literaturszene der deutschen Gegenwart besonders prominenten Autors. Die frühe Erzählung von beträchtlichem Umfang wurde in Deutschland im Jahr 2001 veröffentlicht, ist aber in Italien auch mangels einer italienischen Fassung im Gegensatz zum größten Teil der literarischen Produktion des Schriftstellers weitgehend unbeachtet geblieben. Auch in der deutschsprachigen Welt hat Der fernste Ort zunächst kein großes Interesse geweckt, was auch für andere frühe Texte Kehlmanns gilt. Erst mit der Herausgabe von Die Vermessung der Welt (2005) begann der außerordentliche Erfolg des Autors, der nun sowohl in der Wertschätzung der Kritik als auch in der des Lesepublikums hohen Stellenwert erlangte. Mit der hier angebotenen Übersetzung von Der fernste Ort und der den Text in die Grundkonzepte von Kehlmanns Poetologie und seine Kernthemen einführenden Analyse soll die Novelle dem italienischen Leser zugänglich und zugleich deutlich gemacht werden, welche Bedeutung die Novelle für das spätere Werk Kehlmanns hat.

Abstract:
The organic-rich mudrocks of the Jurassic Fernie Formation in British Columbia, Canada contain unusual silica concretions. The silica originated from dissolved volcanic ashes found in the Highwood Member. A lack of radial trends in d13C and internal zonation demonstrate that these concretions grew pervasively. Stable isotope data from calcite inter-grown within the silica matrix (d13C and d18O) indicate that the concretions formed during sulfate reduction and methanogenesis. The d34S revealed a suppressed sulfur fractionation and suggest that they formed in a system that became progressively closed. The Fernie concretions offer insight into the formation of siliceous concretions in marine environments.

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate current marketing strategy in STOCK Plzeň-Božkov s.r.o. with emphasis on Fernet Stock brand, which is acting on herbal and bitter liqueurs spirits market, and to suggest appropriate recommendations for its improvement with focus on young consumers. At first the theoretical basis is defined to understand a concept of marketing strategy, analysis of external and internal environment, brand equity and marketing communication. To achieve the main objective, the primary and secondary research was carried out. The primary data were obtained by on-line consumer survey and field research. Based on these data the whole spirits market of Czech Republic was analysed with emphasis on herbal and bitter liqueurs spirits market. Furthermore, there was a Fernet Stock brand marketing analysis based on data from theoretical basis and both researches. The conclusion contains suggested recommendations to be implemented in current marketing strategy.

Georg Kühne (1910 Ottendorf-Okrilla - 2001 Berlin) Das interessante Leben von Dr. Georg Kühne ist auf das engste mit der Entwicklung des Deutschen Fernsehfunks, dem Wettbewerbsbestreben zwischen den zwei deutschen Staaten Ost und West um die Vorreiterrolle dieses Mediums im gesamtdeutschen Konflikt zu sehen. Kühne wurde mit Einführung der bisher unüblichen Wettervorhersagen im Fernsehen zum ersten Ansager der täglichen Wetterberichte, im Anschluss an die „Aktuelle Kamera“. Der in Radeberg aufgewachsene Georg Kühne, Schüler am Radeberger Realgymnasium mit Realschule, absolvierte an der Technischen Hochschule Dresden sein Lehrerexamen, promovierte zum Dr. der Technischen Wissenschaften, darauf folgte ein Zusatzstudium zum Meteorologen. Diese Tätigkeit, unterbrochen durch die Kriegsereignisse, wurden ab 1949 in der Zentralen Wetterdienststelle Potsdam fortgesetzt. Hier wurde er zu einem der maßgeblichen Wissenschaftler auf dem Gebiet der Meteorologie, später der Erforschung der Klimatologie, in der DDR. Seine Leistungen führten dazu, dass er zum Leiter der „Zentralen Wetterdienststelle Potsdam“ (ZWD) berufen wurde. Dieses hohe Amt hatte er bis zum Beginn seines Ruhestandes 1975 inne.

Cette thèse interroge le destin de Judas chez cinq écrivains : Paul Claudel (Mort deJudas), Marcel Pagnol (Judas), Jean Ferniot (Saint Judas), Armel Job (Judas le bien-aimé)et Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt (L’Évangile selon Pilate). Passant du cadre général à celuiparticulier, la recherche se propose d’envisager la figure de Judas dans les transpositionsbibliques contemporaines et d’évaluer les nouvelles visions que le siècle a inventées.L’analyse comprend des approches s’appuyant sur les contributions du domaine du mythe,de l’exégèse biblique, historique, de la sociologie, de la psychanalyse. La plupart des récitscontemporains font de Judas un sujet moderne très complexe : il devient figure de l’artiste,du philosophe et de l’acteur.Les problématiques d’ordre social et politique se révèlent primordiales : dans uncontexte succédant à l’Holocauste, Judas renoue avec l’univers judaïque. Retranscrivant lemythe du Juif errant, Judas devient figure de la scission, du départ et de l’errance ; lesrelations au sein de la famille sont vivement remises en cause. La figure du traître devientaussi le support d’une parole restitutive. L’idiotie de filiation dostoïevskienne attribuée àJudas fait bon ménage avec le contexte littéraire contemporain ainsi qu’avec celuilégendaire réévalué.Constamment hésitant entre la réhabilitation de Judas proposée par Pagnol, Ferniot,Job, Schmitt et la réprobation du personnage par Claudel, le parcours propose un richeréseau construit autour de thématiques communes mais différemment évaluées<br>This doctoral dissertation questions Juda's destiny in five authors: Paul Claudel(The Death of Juda), Marcel Pagnol (Juda), Jean Ferniot (Saint Juda), Armel Job (TheBeloved Juda) and Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt (The Gospel according to Pilate). Fromgeneral to specific, this research aims at outlining the image of Judas within thecontemporary biblical renditions and to evaluate new perspectives on it. This analysistouches upon myth, biblical and historical exegesis, sociology and psychoanalysis. Mostcontemporary stories make Juda a very complex and modern subject: he embodies theartist, the philosopher, the actor.Social and political issues prove to be crucial: in a context which follows theHolocaust, Juda reconnects with the Judaic universe. By rewriting the myth of thewandering Jew, Juda becomes the figure of the scission, of the departure and of the roving;family relationships are strongly questioned. Furthermore, the figure of the traitor becomesthe repository for a restitutive speech. The idiocy, in the Dostoievskian sense, associatedwith Judas, blends well both with the contemporary literary context as well as with thereconsidered mythical one.Constantly hesitating between Judas' redemption that Pagnol, Ferniot, Job andSchmitt adopt and the condemnation of Claudel's character, this thesis focuses on aconvoluted network built around common themes that are tackled differently

A escritora brasileira Clarice Lispector e a francesa Alice Ferney, embora oriundas de contextos sócio-históricos diferentes, apresentam muitos pontos em comum em seus romances Uma aprendizagem ou o Livro dos prazeres e La conversation amoureuse. As duas autoras abordam o mesmo tema (o amor e o encontro amoroso) entremeando-o de leitmotiven semelhantes (as questões relativas à alteridade; o papel que a linguagem exerce sobre as relações humanas; os embates sujeito-linguagem; o silêncio como contraparte necessária da palavra), com soluções formais que diferem no todo, mas aproximam-se nos detalhes. Este estudo é uma leitura comparativa entre as duas obras e visa mostrar como as autoras abordam o tema do amor, que tem longa tradição na literatura ocidental, e como o reatualizam a partir de recursos formais de uma literatura em crise. A leitura aqui apresentada coloca em evidência as semelhanças que aproximam e as diferenças que individualizam as obras, observando-as e comparando-as de um ponto de vista temático-morfológico.<br>The Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector and the French writer Alice Ferney, yet coming from different socio-historical contexts, present many common aspects in their novels Uma aprendizagem ou o Livro dos prazeres and La conversation amoureuse. Both writers deal with the same theme (love and the love encounter), filling the novels up with similar leitmotiven (questions concerning alterity; the role language exerts on human relations; the clash subject-language; silence as a necessary counterpart of word), with formal solutions that are different on the whole, but have similarities in the particularities. This study is a comparative reading between the two aforementioned works and aims at showing how the authors deal with the theme of Love, which has a long tradition in Western literature, and how they re-actualize it from certain formal resources of a literature in crisis. This reading puts in evidence the similarities that approximate and the differences that individualize the works, observing and comparing them from a thematic-morphologic perspective.

Contrairement à ce que laisse accroire une maxime pour nous sans âge -"Nihil est in intellectu quin prius fuerit in sensu", rien n'est dans l'intellect qui n'ait été auparavant dans les sens- le concept comme le lexique de la "sensation" ("sensatio" en latin) sont entrés très tardivement sur la scène philosophique, dans la première moitié du XVIIe siècle. Leur apparition nécessitait en effet un double processus d'unification, de l'instance psychique et de la causalité physique. Ce processus s'est amorcé certes tardivement, mais les catégories scolaires n'en ont malheureusement retenu qu'une version, celle de Descartes, dans laquelle pourtant ni le lexique ni le concept de sensation n'ont leur place. On peut alors fixer la tâche d'une généalogie : remonter aux sources multiples de cette double unification, à ses diverses formulations, ainsi qu'aux divergentes théories du sensible auxquelles elles ont donné lieu. La sensation se révèle alors être moins l'expression d'un "climat idéologique" que la résultante de choix théoriques précis, tant dans le domaine de la physique que dans celui de la physiologie ou encore de la psychologie. Ces choix permettent en outre d'établir plus précisément les coordonées de l'empirisme moderne<br>Contrary to what an old maxim had us believe - "Nihil est in intellectu quin prius fuerit in sensu", nothing is in the intellect which was not previously in the senses - both the concept and the word "sensation" (latin "sensatio") entered the philosophical stage very late, in the first half of the seventeenth century. Their appearance implied a double unification process- of the psychological subject on the one hand, and of the physical causality on the other. This process did not begin very early indeed, but the scholastic way of thinking did remember only one version of it, Descartes', for whom neither the world nor the concept of sensation could be found. One can identify the task of a genealogy : to return to the multiple sources of this double unification process, to its diverse formulations, and to the divergent theories of the sensible they induced. Sensation appears to be not the mere expression of an "ideological climate", but the result of theoretical choices in the domains of physics, physiology and psychology. These choices also enable us to identify the characteristics of modern empiricism

Le travail de recherches se divise en deux parties contenant chacune trois chapitres. La première partie "Voltaire et le problème de la mort" traite des idées voltairiennes sur la mort. Nous y commentons les maladies dont l'écrivain fut atteint ou celles qui ont tué ses contemporains, la disparition des intimes, des personnes en vue, des philosophes amis ou ennemis, des grands de la cour, des religieux et des suicides. Les préoccupations métaphysiques y trouvent leur place, à savoir l'immortalité de l'âme et l'existence de dieu. La deuxième partie "Voltaire et le spectacle de la mort" est une analyse des effets de la mort sur l'imagination de l'épistolier. Deux tragédies, Tancrède et Irène, longuement discutées dans la correspondance, révèlent la conception dramaturgique et la représentation esthétique de la mort dans le théâtre de Voltaire. Les assassinats juridiques furent les tragédies réelles du siècle ; voltaire a défendu les victimes innocentes : Calas, Sirven, Lally-Tollendal, La Barre, Martin et Montbailli, en attaquant le fanatisme et le système judiciaire de son temps. Les tragédies survenues en masse furent celles des guerres de sept ans, de la Corse, de la russo-turque, de la Pologne et de Genève. Ces guerres engendrées par l'infâme, l'intolérance, la discrimination sociale soulignent les variations dans l'attitude de Voltaire<br>The research work is composed of two parts which contains each three chapters. The first one, "Voltaire and the death's problem" treat of voltairians ideas about the death. We comment the writer's diseases, these ones which killed contempor aries, than, the death of close people, of important people, of philosophers (friends or ennemies), of greats, of religious and of suicidals. Metaphysicals preoccupations are commented too : immortality and god's existence. The second part "Voltaire and the death's spectacle" is an analyse of the death's effect on the epistolarian's imaginati on. Two tragedies tancrede and irene, show the dramaturgical conception and the aesthetic representation of the death in Voltaire's theatre. Music Performance<br>D.M.A.<br>Liszt's transcription of An die ferne Geliebte is not part of the standard repertoire for pianists even though it is based on Beethoven's most important song cycle. Pianists might only know of the cycle from the quotation of the final song in the first movement of Robert Schumann's Fantasie, op 17. My monograph aims to identify those things that make this transcription effective and worthy of performance and to place it in a clear, historical context. This monograph is organized into 4 chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter contains background information and explores the general characteristics of Liszt's transcription. This chapter illustrates how Beethoven inspired Liszt to transcribe the work, including the story of Weihekuss, Liszt's family romance regarding Beethoven, and Liszt's contributions towards the Beethoven monument. In the second chapter, I investigate the historical context of Liszt's transcription of An die ferne Geliebte. This chapter presents research on Beethoven's An die ferne Geliebte and background information on Liszt's transcription. I trace Liszt's musical life in Weimar where he produced most of his best transcriptions, including An die ferne Geliebte. An examination of some of Liszt's letters from 1848 to 1850 serves to uncover the reasons behind Liszt's decision to transcribe this song and is also included in the second chapter. In addition, the general characteristics of Liszt's vocal music are examined along with how An die ferne Geliebte is different from Liszt's other transcriptions. I compare some of Liszt's transcriptions of Schubert's songs with the An die ferne Geliebe transcription. In chapter three, I compare and analyze three editions--the Peters Edition, the New Liszt Edition, and the Breitkopf & Härtel Edition--with Beethoven's manuscript of An die ferne Geliebte. The goal of this chapter is to discover the best possible interpretation for a pianist. As I examine these editions, I provide guidance to the pianist for how to select a edition when preparing to study and perform this piece. In the last chapter, I provide advice on practical performance matters with specific interpretive and technical recommendations for pianists. In particular, German diction, the interaction of the vocal line and piano accompaniment, and how the text affects the music are examined. In chapter four, I discuss how Liszt brings out the complex textures of the vocal line in his transcription.<br>Temple University--Theses
