Abstract:
The paper deals with Fichte’s concept of education in his popular Jena Lectures Concerning the Scholar’s Vocation. There, Fichte thinks the scholar as the educator of mankind. The aim is to show that the concept of being human, as interpreted by practical philosophy, can, in Fichte’s viewpoint, only find its realization in a society based on division of labour, as a place of reciprocal perfection. His social theory is markedly contrary to Schiller’s critical evaluation of this division of labour as fragmentation and one-sidedness of humanity in his Letters on the Aesthetic Education of Mankind published in 1795. Starting from the Kantian premise of human being as a project, that is as an object of practical philosophy and education, Fichte and Schiller both articulate its consequences in opposite directions: Fichte in the form of the scholar as the expression of a specialized education, Schiller in the form of the artist as the expression of an all-round and harmonic education.Der Beitrag behandelt Fichtes Begriff der Erziehung in seinen bekannten Jenenser Vorlesungen über die Bestimmung des Gelehrten. Dort bestimmt Fichte den Gelehrten als Erzieher der Menschheit. Ziel ist es, zu zeigen, dass der praktizistisch gedeutete Begriff des Menschseins seine Realisation nach Fichtes Auffassung nur in einer arbeitsteiligen Gesellschaft als Ort wechselseitiger Vervollkommnung finden kann. Seine Gesellschaftstheorie steht damit in deutlichem Kontrast zu Schillers kritischer Bewertung dieser Arbeitsteiligkeit als Fragmentierung und Vereinseitigung des Menschseins in den 1795 erschienenen Briefen über die ästhetische Erziehung des Menschen. Ausgehend von der kantischen Pramisse des Menscheins als Projekt, d.h. als Gegenstand von praktischer Philosophie und Erziehung, artikulieren Fichte und Schiller deren Konsequenzen gegensätzlich: Fichte in der Gestalt des Gelehrten als Ausdruck einer spezialisierten Bildung, Schiller in der Gestalt des Kunstlers als dem Ausdruck einer allseitigen und harmonischen Bildung.

Abstract:
This paper addresses some of the figurative properties of Fichte’s philosophical discourse. In many texts from the so-called Spätphilosophie the WL is depicted as an »image of knowing«. In keeping with this idea, the author examines how figure and discourse are inextricably bound up in the space of Fichtean philosophy. The 1794 lectures Concerning the Difference Between the Sprit and the Letter Within Philosophy are particularly telling in this respect, for they foreground metaphor as the necessary vehicle for philosophical expression. Thus, Fichtean philosophy, understood both as discourse (in the sense of pragmatic linguistics) and as »material image«, openly embraces figural modes of knowing, for knowing itself is fundamentally an imagistic activity. In the final analysis, Fichte’s discourse does not separate concept and figure, philosophy and metaphor; instead, it opens up philosophy to the space of the figural – a space from which it ultimately stems and which constitutes the medium of the Wissenschaftslehre as such. In closing, the author reconsiders one of Fichte’s most striking metaphors, i.e., philosophy as Eucharist, in order to shed new light on a famous portrait of Fichte from 1812. He argues that the latter sustains in painterly form a meditation on the place of the figurative in philosophical discourse.Cet article est consacré à la question de la figurabilité du discours philosophique chez Fichte. La WL, on le sait grâce aux textes de la Spätphilosophie, incarne ce que Fichte appelle en 1812 l’»image du savoir«. Cet énoncé constitue le point de départ de notre réflexion sur les liens entre figure et discours dans la philosophie fichtéenne. À la lumière de quelques énoncés métaphilosophiques incontournables pour l’intelligence de la WL nous envisageons, dans un premier temps, le rôle de la métaphore dans l’enseignement fichtéen. Nous démontrons que la philosophie fichtéenne, entendue comme discours (au sens de la linguistique pragmatique) et comme »image matérielle«, doit épouser les traits d’une figure afin qu’on puisse la transmettre à autrui. Ainsi, loin de séparer concept et figure, philosophie et image, le dispositif fichtéen ouvre au contraire l’espace de la philosophie sur l’espace figural dont il est issu et qui en constitue le véritable médium. Dans un deuxième temps, en revenant sur une des métaphores les plus prégnantes dans le discours de Fichte, à savoir la philosophie comme Eucharistie, nous proposons l’analyse d’un célèbre portrait de Fichte qui n’a pas encore reçu l’attention philosophique qui lui revient et qui constitue, selon notre hypothèse, une réflexion inédite sur la figurabilité du discours en philosophie.

Abstract:
In Germany at the turn of the 20th century the interest in Fichte’s philosophy was growing remarkably.This phenomenon has to be considered as a part of a broader “German movement”, i. e. a collective cultural trend aiming at pinpointing what had been properly “German” in the last two centuries. This need became even more acute by the outbreak of the Great War.In that context Fichte’s work was used as a benchmark for creating and elaborating on the myth of “the German character.” Many intellectuals of that time interpreted Fichte’s personality and thought as representing ideas, ethical values, spiritual positions, cultural attitudes and political stances which accounted for the specificity of “Germanness”. Since these ideas and values were believed to be particular to the German culture, Fichte was celebrated all across the nation as an exemplary German.Harkening back to contemporary sources the following paper aims to illustrate how Fichte’s image was moulded in order to meet needs and issues emerging from the War and its philosophical-ideological interpretations. At the same time it suggests that the “Fichte case” from the beginning of the 20th century can be interpreted as a paradigmatic example of how philosophical and cultural issues can be ideologically (mis-) interpreted and used to give support to a particular political view.Die Jahrzehnte um die Jahrhundertwende erlebten im wilhelminischen Deutschland eine starke Zunahme des Interesses an der Philosophie Fichtes.Die kollektive Begeisterung für Fichte lässt sich auf der Folie einer ‚deutschen Bewegung‘ betrachten, deren Ziel die Suche nach dem eigentumlichen ‚Deutschen‘ in den letzten zwei Jahrhunderten war. Diese Suche intensivierte sich noch mit dem Ausbruch des Ersten Weltkrieges.In diesem Zusammenhang wurde Fichtes Denken zu einem Bezugspunkt fur die Ausarbeitung des Mythos von der Besonderheit des deutschen Wesens. Viele Intellektuelle zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts und während der Kriegszeit wollten Fichte als Vorbild einer Persönlichkeit sehen, die edle Ideale, anspruchsvolle Vorstellungen, deutschen Geist und starken Willen vertrat gegenüber einer geistlosen, ethisch verdorbenen Welt, gegen ein intellektualisiertes Leben und die ‘zivilisierte Un-Kultur’ der modernen Menschheit.Im Bezug auf die Verflechtung von philosophischen Begriffen, idealisierter Kriegsvergeistigung, patriotischem Glauben und Willen nach nationaler Bildung setzt sich das Paper zum Ziel die Vorbildhaftigkeit, die Fichte damals zugeschrieben wurde, zur Darstellung zu bringen und quellenmäßig zu analysieren. Der ‚Fall Fichte‘ wird aber zugleich als historisch kontextualisiertes Erlebnisbeispiel des Ineinanderfließens von kulturellen Überhöhungen und politischen Anforderungen betrachtet: ein exemplarischer Fall vom ideologischen (Miss-) Verständnis des Geistigen.

Concluding the deduction of imagination in § 4 of the Grundlage der gesammten Wissenschaftslehre, Fichte remarks that one lesson of the Wissenschaftslehre is that all reality is a product of imagination. One of the greatest thinkers of the age, Fichte writes, is teaching the same, but calls it a deception of imagination. Fichte’s remark is aimed at Salomon Maimon, and it shows that his deduction shouldn’t be read only as part of the systematic development of the theoretical Wissenschaftslehre, but should also be considered as an argument against a specific kind of scepticism. In order to examine this overlooked anti-sceptical aim in the first Wissenschaftslehre, an overview of the deduction of § 4 with a focus on the systematic role of imagination will first be given. Second, Maimon’s sceptical argument against transcendental philosophy will be explained. In the centre again will stand Maimon’s Humean concept of imagination. Finally, it will be shown in which sense Fichte’s deduction of imagination has to be taken in order to be an adequate response to Maimonian scepticism.An die Deduktion der Einbildungskraft in § 4 der Grundlage der gesammten Wissenschaftslehre schließt Fichte die Bemerkung an, es werde hier gelehrt, dass alle Realität durch die Einbildungskraft hervorgebracht wird. Einer der größten Denker des Zeitalters – gemeint ist Salomon Maimon – lehre das Gleiche, nur nenne er es eine Täuschung durch die Einbildungskraft. Diese Bemerkung lässt erkennen, dass die Deduktion der Einbildungskraft nicht nur im Dienst der Entwicklung des theoretischen Teils der Wissenschaftslehre steht, sondern dass sie auch im Sinne eines antiskeptischen Arguments verstanden werden muss. Um diesen Aspekt von Fichtes Konzeption der Einbildungskraft genauer zu beleuchten, wird erstens die Deduktion in § 4 mit Blick auf die systematische Rolle der Einbildungskraft dargestellt. Zweitens wird Maimons skeptisches Argument gegen die Transzendentalphilosophie präzisiert, auf das sich Fichte mit seiner Äußerung bezieht, wobei Maimons sich an Hume orientierendes Verständnis der Einbildungskraft im Zentrum steht. Zuletzt wird geprüft, in welchem Sinn Fichtes Deduktion der Einbildungskraft als Antwort auf Maimons Skeptizismus verstanden werden muss.

Zusammenfassung Das Verhältnis zwischen Fichtes WL (1801/02) und Schleiermachers Reden (1799/1806) wurde heftig diskutiert. Dieser Aufsatz hält den Einfluss von Fichtes Wissenschaftslehre auf Schleiermacher für nicht stichhaltig. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass es verschiedene Modelle der Beziehung zwischen dem Gefühl und dem Absoluten bei Fichte und bei Schleiermacher gibt: Fichte betrachtet das „Gefühl der Abhängigkeit“ vom Absoluten oder vom absoluten Sein als eine Selbstvernichtung der formalen Freiheit, während Schleiermacher zufolge das Individuum mit dem Absoluten im Gefühl vereinigt wird.

Abstract Der Beitrag untersucht die Fragetechniken, mit denen das Personal aus dem Rotlichtmilieu in Hubert Fichtes Interviews aus dem Palais d’Amour etc. (1972/78) zum Sprechen gebracht wird. Angesichts zeitgenössischer Diskussionen über die Hierarchien und die impliziten Vorannahmen, die bei der Befragung subalterner Gruppen wirksam sind, ist in Fichtes Interviews der Zweifel des Fragenden an seiner eigenen Position und Perspektive allgegenwärtig. Als Reaktion auf diese Problematisierung der eigenen Rolle kombiniert Fichte heterogene Praktiken des Fragens. Er verknüpft Wissensbereiche und -techniken, die auf den ersten Blick keine Berührungspunkte haben, und unterbricht den Gesprächsverlauf immer wieder durch kontraintuitive thematische Sprünge. Auf diese Weise werden implizite Erwartungshaltungen an die Selbstbeschreibung subalterner Milieus unterlaufen.This article examines the questioning techniques through which personnel from the red-light milieu are made to speak in Hubert Fichte’s Interviews aus dem Palais d’Amour etc. (1972/78). Given contemporary discussions about the hierarchies and the implicit presuppositions at work when interviewing subcultural groups, the questioner’s doubt about his own position and perspective is omnipresent in Fichte’s interviews. In response to this problematization of his own role, Fichte combines heterogeneous practices of questioning. He links areas and techniques of knowledge that at first glance have no points of contact and repeatedly interrupts the course of the conversation with counterintuitive thematic leaps. In this way, implicit expectations of the self-description of subaltern milieus are subverted.

Abstract:
The text explores the relationship between Pestalozzi and Fichte. The author argues that, with the exception of Kant, Pestalozzi had probably the strongest influence on the development of Fichte’s philosophy, and especially on his placing education in the focus of his philosophy. The influence of Pestalozzi on Fichte is most visible in Fichte’s critique of the existing education and the construction of a completely new conception of educational activity. It is at this point that Fichte directly relies on Pestalozzi’s insights into the importance of independence and self-activity in pedagogical practice. At the same time, there are significant differences between the two of them, clearly visible in Fichte’s conception of national education. This conception of Fichte must by no means be viewed only from the context of The Addresses to the German Nation but must be viewed as a whole of the development of Fichte’s philosophy, and especially in relation to the historical and educational circumstances that prevailed at the time. Abstract:
At the end of the “Foundations of theoretical Knowledge”, in the second part of the first exposition of the Doctrine of Science (1794/5), Fichte says: imagination “does not delude, but gives truth and the only possible truth”. Although the expression – “only possible truth” – appears in the text only once, it seems to play a key role in structuring the doctrine of science, insofar it defines Fichte’s own point of view, whether in relation to pre-Kantian metaphysics, or in relation to Kantianism. The aim of this paper is to understand the notion of the “only possible truth” and its internal relation to imagination. In order to do that we need to revisit the background discussion that leads Fichte to establish imagination as the fundamental activity of human spirit and the ground of the only possible truth. Such discussion takes place as a confrontation with the skepticism of Salomon Maimon, precisely the philosopher who (as a result of his critique of Kant’s philosophy) says, as Fichte said, that reality is produced by the imagination, but who regards such reality to be an illusion.Am Ende der «Grundlage des theoretischen Wissens», des zweiten Teils der Darstellung der Wissenschaftslehre 1794/5, behauptet Fichte: die Einbildungskraft „täuscht ... nicht, sondern sie giebt Wahrheit, und die einzige mögliche Wahrheit”. Obwohl die Bezeichnung “die einzige mögliche Wahrheit” in dieser Darstellung sonst nicht mehr vorkommt, scheint sie eine zentrale Rolle zu spielen, insofern sie Fichtes Standpunkt sowohl gegenüber der vorkantischen, als auch der Kantischen Philosophie bestimmt. In diesem Beitrag geht es darum, den Begriff von “einzig-möglicher Wahrheit” und seine innere Verbindung zur Einbildungskraft zu verstehen. Dazu ist es erforderlich, die im Hintergrund stehende philosophische Auseinandersetzung darzulegen, die Fichte zu der Auffassung führt, dass die Einbildungskraft die grundlegende Tätigkeit des menschlichen Geistes und Grund dieser einzig-möglichen Wahrheit ist. Es geht hierbei um eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem Skeptiker Salomon Maimon, der ausgehend von einer Kritik an Kants Philosophie wie Fichte sagt, dass „die Realität durch die Einbildungskraft hervorgebracht wird”, der aber im Gegensatz zur Wissenschaftslehre diese Realität als eine Tauschung betrachtet.

Abstract:
Aquesta tesi té per objectiu la interpretació dels principals textos de la polèmica de l'ateisme de Fichte des d'un punt de vista estrictament filosòfic. En aquest sentit, segueix la recomanació que fa el propi autor: abans de fer un judici sobre els textos, cal dominar els fonaments de la seva filosofia. En un primer moment s'estudia la gènesi dels principis del sistema filosòfic de Fichte, la Doctrina de la Ciència, des de l'evolució de la filosofia transcendental que Kant introdueix amb les seves tres crítiques, en especial pel que fa a conceptes com ara l'apercepció transcendental, la llibertat, la imaginació productiva, i en general, la seva concepció de l'intel.ligible. Se segueix aquesta evolució a partir de les qüestions obertes en l'immediat debat postkantià, atenent especialment a les aportacions de Reinhold, Maimon i Schulze, així com als textos de Fichte (ressenyes, lliçons, cartes...) que manifesten la gestació del seu sistema com a concepció original de la filosofia transcendental, fins arribar a les obres publicades Sobre el concepte de Doctrina de la Ciència i especialment el Fonament de tota la Doctrina de la Ciència. Amb aquesta primera part del meu treball, s'assoleix una comprensió sobre allò essencial en el projecte fonamentador de Fichte: la deducció de les formes de consciència a partir de la intuïció intel.lectual de la Joïtat en la seva relació amb un No-Jo que se li oposa. En un segon moment, veiem l'aplicació d'aquesta fonamentació en l'àmbit pràctic, el de la llibertat humana. Atenem així, d'una banda, a la deducció de la llei moral des del principi del Jo, en un nou pas per completar les mancances fonamentadores del sistema kantià; d'altra banda, a la necessària inserció de la llibertat de l'agent moral en el sistema intel.ligible de les llibertats dels altres, cosa que permet a Fichte desenvolupar una original teoria de la relació intersubjectiva. En aquest sentit analitzem les obres immediatament posteriors al Fonament de la Doctrina de la Ciència, el Fonament del Dret Natural, i en especial la Doctrina moral i la nova formulació del fonament que representa la Doctrina de la Ciència nova methodo, atès que constitueixen el context sistemàtic de les idees que Fichte manifesta en els textos de la polèmica de l'ateisme. En el tercer capítol, treballo els propis textos de la polèmica, tant pel que fa a l’aclariment de l’ocasió que els origina històricament i les seves conseqüències, com pel que fa a la qüestió central de la comprensió, des de la filosofia transcendental, de les idees allà exposades, amb especial èmfasi en la diferència respecte a les idees de Kant, sobretot pel que fa al concepte intel.ligible del Bé Suprem. Això ens ajuda a comprendre la discussió de Fichte: d’una banda, tot prenent distància amb Forbergi, de l’alta, en la seva constant recerca de la causa de la incomprensió que manifesten els crítics del seu pensament. Afegim a l’anàlisi un text no publicat en l’època, que resulta molt esclaridor respecte al nivell de maduració que té la filosofia de la religió de Fichte que es reflecteix en les obres de la polèmic: les lliçons de metafísica de Fichte sobre l’obra del filòsof Platner. La part final de la tesi investiga el moment culminant de la polèmica, que arriba amb la intervenció del respectat Jacobi en una demolidora carta. Analitzem les diferències dels sistemes dels dos pensadors, així com la reacció de Fichte a la carta. Aquesta reacció serà clau per a l’evolució del pensament fitcheà: quan Fichte respon a l’atac dels seus adversaris (basat en la confusió entre l’ordre intel.ligible de les llibertats i Déu), i a l’atac de Jacobi (que l’acusa de nihilisme, i defensa la creença en detriment de la raó com a base de la comprensió adequada de la realitat), apareixeran els primers canvis que apunten a una revisió de les idees del període de Jena. Trobem prou raons per tant per defensar que aquests eixos temàtics si més no poden comptar-se entre els motius que faran que es desplaci la qüestió de la Doctrina de la Ciència des de la fonamentació de la consciència finita a partir del Jo i les seves activitats vers el món, a un nivell previ d’aclariment de la relació que té la pròpia Doctrina de la Ciència amb l’Absolut, tema de reflexió de les primeres formulacions de la Doctrina de la Ciència a Berlin, que serveixen de base teòrica de la primera exposició pública de la filosofia de la religió de Fichte, l’Exortació a la vida benhaurada. Aquesta transició del sistema de l´època de Jena cap al sistema de l’època de Berlín es comença a apuntar en l’obra La Destinació de l’Home, que és objecte d’anàlisi de la darrera part de la nostra tesi.
This thesis aims to the interpretation of the main texts of the dispute over Fichte's atheism from a strictly philosophical point of view. In this sense, it follows the recommendation made by the author himself: Before making a judgment about the texts, we must master the fundamentals of his philosophy. Firstly the genesis of the early Fichte's philosophical system, the Doctrine of Science, is studied following the evolution of transcendental philosophy that Kant introduced in his three critics, especially attending to concepts such as transcendental apperception, freedom, the productive imagination, and the conception of the intelligible. This evolution starts with the questions discussed in the immediate post-Kantian scenario - especially regarding to the contributions from Reinhold, Maimon and Schulze and to Fichte's own texts (reviews, lessons, letters ...), which show the gestation of his system as an original interpretation of the transcendental philosophy-, and up to the published works On the concept of the Doctrine of Science and especially the Foundation of the whole Doctrine of Science. In this first part of my work it is achieved an understanding of the essence of Fichte's foundational project: the deduction of the forms of consciousness from the intellectual intuition of the self in its relation to a non ego that opposes him. Secondly, we see the application of the foundation to the practical level of human freedom. On the one hand we work through the deduction of moral law from the principle of the self, in an attempt to fill in gaps in the foundations of the Kantian system. On the other hand, we deal with the necessary inclusion of the freedom of the moral agent into the intelligible system of the freedoms of others, which allows Fichte to develop an original theory of the interpersonal relationship. In this sense, we analyze the works published immediately after the Foundation of the whole Doctrine of Science: the Foundation of Natural Right, and especially the Moral Doctrine and the new formulation of the foundations in the Doctrine of the Science nova methodo, since they constitute the systematic background of the ideas exposed in the texts related to the controversy of atheism. In the third chapter, I work over the texts about the controversy, both in terms of the clarification of the historical events that gave rise to them and of their consequences, such as the central question of the understanding, from a transcendental point of view, of the ideas exposed in the texts, with special emphasis on the difference from the Kantian conception, especially in regard to the intelligible concept of the Greater Good. This helps us to understand the standpoint of Fichte: first, as explicitly growing apart from Forberg in the most critical issues, and on the other hand, in his ongoing search for the cause of the misunderstanding of his work which lead his critics to the accusation of atheism. I finally add the analysis of a text which was not published at the time, which is very enlightening about the maturity reached by Fichte’s philosophy of religion in the works of the controversy: Fichte’s lessons on metaphysics, in which Fichte reviews the work of the contemporary philosopher Platner. The final part of the thesis investigates the summit of the controversy, which comes with the intervention of a devastating letter by the respected Jacobi. We analyze the differences in the Systems of both thinkers and work over Fichte's reaction to the letter. This reaction will be the keystone of the evolution of Fichte’s thought when he strikes back his adversaries (their confusion between the intelligible order of freedom and God), and defends himself from the attack of Jacobi (who accused him of nihilism, by stablishing reason in detriment of belief as the basis of the understanding of reality). At this point, the first changes appear which aim to a radical revision on the ideas maintained along the Jena period. We found enough reason therefore to argue that these issues can be regarded as responsable for a shift in the main issue of the Doctrine of Science, deepen from the foundation of the finite consciousness on the principle of the ego and its world-oriented activities to a still previous level of clarification of the relationship that the Doctrine of Science itself has with the Absolute, which is the issue of reflection of the first formulations of the Doctrine of Science in Berlin, theoretical background of the first public exposition of Fichte’s System of the philosophy of religion, the Exhortation to the blessed life. This transition of the system from the period in Jena into the system from the period in Berlin appear in nuce in the book The Destiny of Man, analyzed in the last part of our thesis.

Abstract:
The influence of Spinoza on Post-Kantian Idealism has been acknowledged by virtually all commentators in the area. Much research on the influence of Spinoza on Hegel has been already carried out by many of Hegel's commentators in both the Continental and Anglo- American tradition, and Hegel himself wrote a great deal on Spinozism. Detailed research and study on the influence of Spinoza on Fichte and Schelling, however, is still to be carried out in the Anglo-American tradition; and this situation is in contrast to the current scenario in Germany, where much effort has been devoted to this topic. Commentators in the Anglo-American tradition acknowledge the influence of some of Spinoza's views on Fichte's and Schelling's respective projects but fail to provide a detailed account of this influence. This thesis will attempt to help fill in the gap in this area by providing a detailed study of the influence of Spinozism on Fichte and Schelling. This will be done by drawing parallels and by demonstrating similarities between some of their philosophical views, as well as referring to textual evidence where Fichte and Schelling acknowledge, overtly or not, their debt to Spinoza. This thesis is divided into three parts. In Part I I shall provide the context or background to this thesis. This part focus on the reception of Spinoza's writings in the Netherlands and Germany (chap. 1), the Enlightenment and Romantic movement as well as the Enlightenment crises (chap. 2), and Kant's attempt to solve the crises (chap. 3). In Part II and III I deal with Fichte's and Schelling's Spinozism respectively. Part II is divided into three chapters, which are entitled: "Metaphysics, Knowledge and Freedom" (chap. 4), "Theology and Religion" (chap. 5)， and "Ethics" (chap. 6). Part III is also divided into three chapters, which are entitled: "From Kant to Fichte to Schelling: Spinoza's contribution to Absolute Idealism" (chap. 7), "Pantheism and God" (chap. 8), and finally "Deep Ecology" (chap. 9). Finally, in this abstract I find it important to draw the reader's attention to a few issues. My sympathies with, or antipathies to, the various positions taken by the authors I discuss will no doubt be apparent as the thesis unfolds. And it could be said that this thesis is primarily intended as an exercise in the history, influence and study of some conceptual views particular to Spinozism, and as such it shall be of great interest to metaphysicians. But in doing so this thesis will also set the background for a proper understanding of Fichte's and Schelling's philosophical systems - this is an important point as there is a tendency in philosophical and academic circles to 'box in' philosophical systems as if these systems were self-contained and bore no connection with previous philosophical systems; moreover, there is also a tendency in these circles not to appreciate the legacy of philosophical systems either. As such, this thesis aims to help correcting this situation insofar as Spinoza, Fichte and Schelling are concerned - but it can be also viewed as a template for similar research in connection to other philosophical systems. It is also intended that the interpretations of Fichte and Schelling in the light of their Spinozism, which I propose will be useful to other scholars in their attempt to critically appraise the writings of these important figures.

Trata-se de compreender como se articula um sistema de filosofia que, emerso da Crítica kantiana, não pode nem fazer apelo aos objetos da metafísica especial, nem pressupor qualquer positividade, como a lógica e a coisa em si, constituindo-se, pois, como uma doutrina-da-ciência. Ao nosso ver, essa articulação tem seu núcleo central em um primado da prática: a Fundação da Ciência do Prático, terceira parte da Fundação de toda a Doutrina-da-Ciência, tem seu lugar no sistema ao solucionar as contradições e limites que o saber teórico deixou e que, como mera teoria, é incapaz de dar conta , mostrando que é apenas a partir do primado da faculdade prática, fundada na exigência do eu absoluto de realizar a infinitude e na lei do eu de refletir sobre si mesmo como realizando tal idéia, que se funda o sistema do saber humano e, portanto, a representação. Parece-nos que este momento da exposição da doutrina-daciência de 1794 permite a descrição do idealismo transcendental de Fichte como um idealismo crítico, herdeiro da filosofia kantiana.
Our aim is to understand how Fichte´s system of philophy is articulated, provided that it, coming from Kant´s Critic, cannot make appeal either to the objects of special metaphysics or pressuposes any positivity like logics or the thing in itself and therefore arrives at a Doctrine of Science (Wissenschaftslehre). In our interpretation, this articulation is centered on the primacy of practice: the \"Foundation of the Science of Practice\", third part of the Foundation of the Entire Doctrine of Science, fits in the system as it solves the contradictions and limits of the theoretical knowledge by showing that only the primacy of the practical faculty, grounded in the necessity of the realization of infinity by the absolute I and in the law of self-reflection as the realization of this idea, can found the system of human knowledge and hence the representation. It seems that this moment of the exposition of 1794´s Doctrine of Science allows the description of Fichte´s transcendental idealism as a critic idealism, heir of kantian philosophy.

Introdução: O enfrentamento ao vírus da imunodeficiência humana está para completar 40 anos e calcula-se que haja cerca de 36,7 milhões de pessoas vivendo com o vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids no mundo. No Brasil, estima-se que existam atualmente 718 mil casos diagnosticados. Muitos avanços já foram conquistados, como o direito à terapia antirretroviral universal e até a profilaxia pré-exposição para grupos que apresentam situações de risco. A notificação compulsória das pessoas vivendo com o vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids teve início em 1986 e, com vírus da imunodeficiência humana, em 2014 no Brasil. Mesmo a ficha de notificação sendo relativamente recente para vírus da imunodeficiência humana, as informações a serem preenchidas nos campos não incluem informações mais detalhadas sobre identidade de gênero e prática sexual. Objetivo: Analisar o desafio de pesquisar sobre populações-chave e prioritárias em grandes bancos de informações envolvendo a epidemia do vírus da imunodeficiência humana no Brasil, comparando com os padrões de outras fichas de notificação de vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids no mundo. Métodos: Pesquisa bibliográficas das fichas de notificações de vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids internacionais, com catalogação dos campos associados. Resultados: Entre as 21 fichas de notificação avaliadas, todas apresentam campos relacionados a raça/cor, idade, escolaridade, e 16 apresentam campos sobre a prática sexual, 12 sobre gênero, incluindo homens e mulheres transexuais. Campos como estar em situação de rua ou no sistema prisional constam em oito fichas de notificação. Para discussão, compara-se a ficha de notificação da Austrália, que avalia a prática sexual com número de parceiros, se é casual, se é feita associada com uso de drogas e se já ocorreu o início da terapia antirretroviral, com a ficha de notificação brasileira, que questiona se a prática sexual se relaciona com homens e/ou mulheres. Conclusão: As políticas públicas devem estar atentas aos grupos-chave/prioritários na epidemia do vírus da imunodeficiência humana. Pode ser desafiador avaliar dados como identidade de gênero se não são descritos. Para tanto, a ficha de notificação pode ser instrumento de coleta de dados apurados para embasar propostas para prevenção, diagnóstico precoce, tratamento e fundamentação das políticas públicas.

O modelo a fluxo de dados tem grande destaque em pesquisas em arquiteturas de alto desempenho. Neste modelo, o controle de execução é feito apenas pela disponibilidade dos dados, permitindo que seja explorado o máximo de paralelismo implícito em um programa. Neste trabalho, será apresentada a máquina de fluxo de dados de Manchester. Esta arquitetura, para tratar código reentrante, impõe que as fichas de dados, além da indicação da instrução destino, possuam um rótulo. Estas informações extras, que formam 70% da ficha de dado, fazem com que a implementação da máquina seja complexa. Assim, o hardware impõe um sério limite a velocidade de processamento, impedindo a plena utilização do modelo. Este trabalho apresenta propostas para a redução do número de informações necessárias para o correto funcionamento da máquina. Possibilitando, uma implementação mais simples e mais eficiente.

Introdução: A eliminação da sífilis congênita é um desafio da saúde pública mundial, mesmo tendo diagnóstico e tratamento definidos. A falha de planos anteriores força as autoridades a repensar as estratégias de detecção e controle, sendo a notificação compulsória ferramenta importante na obtenção de dados. Objetivo: Analisar as notificações de sífilis congênita entre janeiro de 2016 e agosto de 2020 pelo Departamento de Vigilância Epidemiológica do Hospital Universitário Antônio Pedro. Métodos: Estudo retrospectivo, descritivo e quantitativo dos dados de fichas de notificação de sífilis congênita no Hospital Universitário Antônio Pedro. Na análise descritiva das variáveis categóricas foram utilizadas as frequências absolutas e relativas, já para numéricas foram utilizadas medidas tendência central e dispersão. Foram feitas correlação de Spearman, testes de Mann-Whitney e exato de Fisher, com o software R (versão 4.0.3). Foram considerados os critérios de Hills para causalidade. Resultados: Das 67 fichas examinadas, foram excluídas duas por duplicidade. Foram analisadas 48 variáveis. Nenhuma ficha estava completamente preenchida e alguns dados estavam ausentes em mais de 90%. Dos dados maternos: 60% de Niterói (RJ), com idade de 23,09 anos em média, pardas (32,31%), 13,85% pararam os estudos entre a quinta e a oitava série e 80% fizeram pré-natal, porém menos da metade teve tratamento adequado indicado. Quanto às crianças: 55,38% eram do sexo feminino, 40% pardas, com idade média de 90,98 dias e 72,31% nasceram no Hospital Universitário Antônio Pedro, sendo isso significativo para serem assintomáticas (69,23%, p=0,001) e, quando presente, o sintoma foi a icterícia. Conclusão: A melhora do seguimento e investigação dos casos notificados pode diminuir significativamente essa alta porcentagem de informações ausentes, melhorando a qualidade da informação. A grande maioria fez acompanhamento pré-natal e, portanto, trata- -se de caso evitável, já que o diagnóstico materno no período periparto acontece quando a transmissão vertical já ocorreu.

Cette fiche se concentre plus spécifiquement sur des enjeux juridiques liés aux formes plus évoluées de SIA (par ex. outils mobilisant un SIA basé sur l’apprentissage automatique ou l’apprentissage profond) considérant les enjeux propres qui en découlent. Cette fiche présente les principales promesses (ou les bénéfices potentiels ou cas d’usage potentiels) de l’IA en santé du point de vue du système de santé universel, celui qui vise à améliorer la santé de la population ainsi que l’expérience des patients et des soignants (Aung, Wong, and Ting 2021; Lovis 2019). Ces bénéfices potentiels sont présentés pour les usages les plus prometteurs des systèmes d’intelligence artificielle (SIA), en mettant l’accent sur les développements récents des techniques d’IA (p. ex. apprentissage automatique). Abstract:
La présente fiche propose une revue des différents enjeux éthiques liés au développement et à l’utilisation des technologies d’intelligence artificielle dans le milieu de la santé, en trois parties. D’abord, nous aborderons les enjeux éthiques liés à l’exploitation de données massives nécessaires à l’entrainement des algorithmes de l’IA. Ensuite, nous présenterons les principaux enjeux éthiques liés au développement et à l’utilisation des SIA en santé, en abordant la façon dont ces systèmes impactent nos vies ainsi que l’environnement physique et social dans lequel nous vivons. Nous présenterons finalement les principales initiatives nationales et internationales en matière d’éthique de l’IA et de la gestion des données, fruits et reflets d’une réflexion globale sur ces sujets.
