The relationship between ratings following four inoculation techniques and field ratings and the usefulness of these techniques for screening large populations was determined. Plants of Brassica napus ’Westar,’ ’Wesroona’, ’Topas’, ’Hanna’ and ’R8314’ were inoculated with L. maculans using four techniques: cotyledon inoculation with cotyledon rating, leaf inoculation with leaf and stem rating, stem inoculation with stem rating and inoculation using infested oat kernels with stem rating. These subscales were uncorrelated with supervisor ratings made about 8 weeks later. Howe

The purpose of this study was to compare the concert band assessments of male-directed ensembles and female-directed ensembles in the state of Virginia. Data included overall ratings of male-directed and female-directed bands ( N = 3,229) that performed at District Concert Assessments held across the state in the past 6 years (2013–2018), which were publicly available on the website of the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association. Results showed a statistically significant association between ratings and director gender at both the middle school and high school levels. In both instanc

Abstract Introduction Online provider rating websites are an increasingly popular medium for patients to provide reviews & feedback and obtain information about varying healthcare providers. There have yet to be studies on what factors significantly impact sleep medicine provider ratings. Healthgrades is a popular healthcare provider rating database with over 11 million patient reviews. This study analyzes various dimensions to determine what factors correlate with average sleep medicine provider ratings to improve patient satisfaction. In this study, the fire resistance performance of steel–polymer prefabricated composite floors, which have a sandwich-type structure, was assessed via standard fire tests and analyzed using finite element analysis. This form of analysis should consider two aspects, namely the thermal and structural fields, so as to simulate complicated material properties and large deformations. As previous studies have already conducted analysis in the thermal field, this study entailed only the structural analysis based on the temperature distributions obtained from the thermal analysis. Some of these techniques are based on the reading or the prediction of the whole set of meteorological variables involved in the corresponding equations, whereas other methods use direct or indirect measurements of the conductor temperature. Additionally, a correction method will be described for incomplete monitoring situations. Finally, a real case study is presented for a 220-kV overhead line, where a double monitoring technique is considered for the calculation of the
