Artistic skating requires multiple conditional capabilities, such as flexibility, endurance, strength, but can also be considered as an art. The most frequent injuries are those of overuse and the most frequent location is the lower limb. Aim: To analyze the characteristics of injuries in Artistic Skating, as well as the various features of injuries in the 2011/2012 season at the Skating Club of Marco de Canaveses. Methodology: Individual interviews were held to gather data concerning the training and injuries. It was carried out an evaluation of body composition and anthropometric measures (height, weight and subcutaneous fold) to 24 athletes of artistic skating grouped into eight levels. Results: 76% of skaters suffered injuries in the sport season of 2011/2012. The injuries were mostly traumatic (68.4%), the type of injury with the highest prevalence was the contusion (42.1%), the knee joint was the most affected (57.9%) and severe injuries were the most frequent (42.1%). Regarding the use of physiotherapy, there was an accession of 40%. Conclusion: The prevalence of injuries was considered high (76%). There was no relation between the variables and the prevalence of injuries.
