Abstract:
Kill! Kill!; ANNIE WILKES z roku 1990 v americkém thrilleru / hororu Misery; LOLITA z roku 1997 z francouzsko-amerického melodramatu stejného jména; VERA z roku 2007 z ruského dramatu Banishment a LISBETH SALANDE-

Abstract:
The starting point of my work will be a selection of films about Dracula. In this thesis, I would like to address the evolution in the representations of Dracula, from physical appearance to changes in the character, as well as the character development within the story.I want to look into this subject from a broad scope: Not only from the cinematographic context, but also from the cultural, historical and dramaturgical context. I'm interested in the evolution of the archetype of immortality in different cultural manifestations, from body embalming through sculpture, painting, photography to film. Furthermore, the thesis will study the reassessment of its symbolism, the phenomena of film remaking and the meaning behind the necessity for repetition and reinterpretation of the myth. This work should also ascertain when the reality becomes myth and why.My sources of information will not be only the selected films, but specialized literature by authors such as M. Eliade, B. Fořt and E.Fromm.

Abstract:
This thesis describes the origins of film-noir genre, historical context of classic noir era as well as the influence of its film predecessors, emphasising the tradition of german expressionism. Each single aspect creating the characteristic film-noir look is analysed and described in detail, and illustrated using film stills containing such aspect. Following text summarises reasons and circumstances of the end of this classic era. The second part of my thesis is dedicated to the utilization of this noir aspects in later films all the way up to the present times. This part is also supplemented with practical examples of these elemets being used.

Abstract:
The aim of this work was to try to look at the fertile period of the Italian cinema of the sixties a different perspective - through the genre of comedy Italian style. Focus on those who formed parallel to the greats, and who, often deservedly, disappearing into the shadows. Nevertheless, among the smaller ones can find authors stylish and expressive works. The fact that I finally got to the territory of the greats is nothing surprising genre of comedy Italian style is so broad that it can fit so many things and often handles the same topics as they only told in a lighter vein. Try to purely Italian in context trace its specificity, and create an outline for better orientation in the territory where lions still live.

Abstract:
The goal of this work is to popularize certain sound theory issues (e.g. storytelling, interactivity/immersion, sound/image perspective, semiotics). It deals with the basic sound/image and diegetic/extradiegetic relations, compiling the works of various sound theoreticians. Despite being focused on narrative film, it discusses specific features of four most common semi-narrative genres and gives a hint of sound/image relations in non-narrative and interactive audiovisual media. Apart from the sound/image/diegesis relations, this work briefly explains the synchresis phenomenon and the meaning of tight or loose sound/image synchronicity for tampering with the perspective and perception of the filmic time and space. The appendices contain some information concerning related themes – a short combinatorics column, a column explaining the three basic sound planes, the use of sound as a signifier and a longer quotation of Michel Chion’s article on rendered sound.

Abstract:
In this work the mutual relationship between film and electronic music with particular focus on early sci-fi movies is discussed. This work is coming out from a phenomenal relationship between music and sound effects not often found outside of this genre. This topic is the rich source of an interdisciplinary overlaps and the cultural contexts, however not so much interest has been put yet to this field neither from Film or history of Electronic Music.
