Abstract:
Background: In this era of innovation in information technology, everything is embedded with technology, and the financial sector is no exception. The term “FinTech” (Financial Services Technology Consortium) attracted the attention of regulators, consumers and investors in 2014. It was initially applied to the back-end systems of financial and banking institutions. However, Fintech has now become more consumer-oriented, as the combination of financial services and information technology. Specifically, it refers to financial services for consumers through technology. The e-wallet is one of the examples of FinTech in payments and infrastructure that can be freely adopted by everyone. However, the penetration of e-wallet usage in Malaysia is still in its early stages compared to other countries. Methods: The aim of this research is to examine the factors that affect the adoption of e-wallets in Malaysia based on five aspects: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, social influence and government support. These variables were adopted from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA). Questionnaires were given to a targeted group of 100 e-wallet users in Malaysia using the convenient sampling method. The contribution of each factor in explaining the adoption of e-wallets was analyzed using multiple regression. Results: The results show that social influence has a significant relationship with the adoption of e-wallets in Malaysia: the majority of the respondents are at their prime age and their behaviours tend to be influenced by the reference group. The results from this study may encourage more small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia to provide e-wallet payment options, transforming their conventional business into a digital business and spurring the growth of the digital economy in Malaysia. Conclusions: High levels of adoption of e-wallets moves a country towards a cashless society, resulting in better economic growth and environment.

Abstract:
E-wallets are one of the breakthroughs brought forth by the evolution of FinTech, which has been accentuated by the global outbreak of COVID-19. Therefore, it is critical to comprehend the factor of e-wallet acceptance. As this technology advances, substantial knowledge and research gaps become apparent. Previous studies on e-wallet acceptance have overlooked the importance of motivation and self-efficacy. There is a dearth of focus on certain age groups, such as Gen Z, which is currently the trendsetter of new technologies. This study aims to close the gaps regarding the lack of focus toward Gen Z, motivation, and self-efficacy in understanding e-wallet acceptance by combining the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with Self-Determination Theory (SDT), Self-Efficacy (SE), and Digital Media Self-Efficacy (DMSE) to fully understand the factors influencing e-wallet acceptance among Gen Z, using 233 samples to test 16 hypotheses derived from the identified research and knowledge gaps. External Regulation (ER), SE, and DMSE are the determinants of acceptance, according to Structural Equation Model analysis conducted. Mediation analysis reveals that Attitude toward Use (AT) is the full mediator of Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEU). The quintessential outcome of this research is the Model of E-Wallet Acceptance among Gen Z, which is significant for FinTech industries looking to strategically roll out e-wallet initiatives as well as a point of exploration for numerous future academic research and development.

The growth of cashless payment has grown exponentially, including that of e-wallet, in line with the government's plan to build a cashless society. The e-wallet phenomenon is fast becoming an important component for financial inclusion in emerging economies as studies found that the use of digital financial services like mobile money and other fintech applications could provide many potential development benefits. Countries like China have experienced the highest growth in cashless payments over the last five years and is said to be the most educated on mobile payment services. Despite the rapid development of this technology, organizations and consumers are still concerned about rising security issues. As the e-wallets markets are further expected to increase exponentially in Malaysia, it is crucial to study the consumers' behavioral intention to use e-wallets for the benefits of e-wallets service providers and users in Malaysia. Correspondingly, this paper presents a review of the literature aimed at advancing the body of knowledge by proposing a conceptual model on consumers' behavioral intention to use e-wallet (mobile payment) using UTAUT2 as a baseline model. This paper is built upon a systematic literature review method. This paper provides practical implications that would assist e-wallet service providers when devising appropriate strategies in planning and increasing consumers' intention to use the e-wallet.

Abstract:
Financial technology has the potential to empower ordinary individuals while also contributing to the growth of national economies by enabling secure and efficient access to financial products. The advancements in e-wallet technology have simplified online payments and transactions, since it is a financial transaction application that can function on any device connected to the internet. The main issue is that, in spite of the vital role that digital payments and e-wallets play in propelling the country's digital economy, Shariah-compliant e-wallets are not widely available in Malaysia's fintech ecosystem. By utilizing library search, this paper aims to analyses how the advancement in financial technology especially e-wallet will drive the growth of Malaysia’s digital economy. In the context of Islamic finance, this study found that Islamic e-wallet adhere to Islamic principles and values, however, it faces several challenges in catalysing the growth of Malaysia’s digital economy. This study adds to our understanding of the difficulties faced by Islamic e-wallets in spurring the development of the digital economy.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The advancement of finance and technology in what is commonly referred to as Fintech has introduced an opportunity for many business models in the new normal which provides ease of conducting money-related transactions amongst consumers, retailers, suppliers, and society as a whole. One of the most commonly used FinTech is the electronic wallets (e-wallets); a cashless electronic payment system. E-wallets provide the user the services and access to accomplish financial transactions and digital payments quickly that only require the application of smartphones and Internet connectivity. However, there are many perceptions about the application of e-wallets, particularly in e-money-related transactions such as in school enrolment, and would still prefer the use of money in physical form. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the perceptions among the students from Marinduque State College that contributes to the use of e-wallet as the mode of payment for school enrolment and transactions through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) using Perceived Ease of Use (PEU), Perceived Usefulness (PU) Perceived Convenience (PC), Willingness (W) and Behavioral Intention (BI) as the main variables. To reach the objective, a sample size of at least 267 respondents was identified. The questionnaires were sent to 600 students to accommodate possible non-response which are students from the Institute of Information Systems and Technology (IIST) Marinduque State College, and a quantitative approach was applied to examine and test the hypothesis. The study finding shows that Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Willingness (W) have a positive significant effect on the Behavioral Intention (BI) to use an e-wallet as the mode of payment. In contrast, Perceived Convenience (PC) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEU) have no positive significant effect on the Behavioral Intention (BI) to use an e-wallet.

Abstract:
The bloom of banking and fintech companies in Indonesia is marked by the rapid growth of e-wallet users in recent years. The bloom is encouraged by the government by establishing the Gerakan Nasional Non Tunai program to promote cashless society among millennials who are already familiar with cashless lifestyle. There are many factors which attract people to use e-wallet, such as trust, usefulness, and promotion. This research aims to examine the effect of trust and perceived usefulness moderated by the promotion variable on consumers’ preference towards two e-wallet brands—OVO and GoPay. This quantitative research is conducted using Likert scale. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method is used to examine whether each variable has different effect in shaping consumers’ preference. The samples used in this research are active users of OVO and GoPay who are currently living in Semarang. The ANOVA results show that trust, usefulness, and promotion does not have different effect in shaping consumers’ preference. However, they do attract consumers to use e-wallet. This research might be useful to help develop better quality of e-wallet service, security, and utility and build a perfect marketing strategy for banking and fintech companies.

Abstract:
Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of Financial Technology, on DANA e-wallet users in the city of Padang.

Theoretical framework: Competition in Financial Technology (fintech) is known as a financial inclusion tool that is currently growing very fast. The development of fintech must certainly be of particular concern because it will be in direct contact with the economic activities of the people. in other words, strict supervision must be carried out in this industry related to the regulations that control it, must be comprehensive, clear and transparent. So the development of fintech can provide maximum benefits to the people. (Saragih, 2019).

Design/Methodology/Approach: The sample size in this study was adjusted to the Structural Equation Model (SEM). This means that a minimum of 100 samples must be included in the SEM study using Partial Least Square (PLS).

Findings: The findings in this study prove that electronic trust and electronic service quality have a significant impact on elecronic customer loyalty through electronic satisfaction as an intervening variable on DANA digital wallet users in Padang city. This proves that satisfaction and customer loyalty will increase along with the improvement of trust and service quality offered in an e-wallet because the user's expectation before using an e wallet is satisfaction and will become loyal.

Research, practical & social implications: The Implicative suggestion from this study is that the DANA e-wallet must prioritize user data security to increase trust and improve service quality for convenience in using the application.

Originality/Value: Some poor reviews found in the play store application make this a gap in this study. So this research emphasizes the analysis of factors that are considered relevant to influence user decisions, specifically trust and service quality on user satisfaction and loyalty. DANA e-wallet users in Padang city are the subjects in this study using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of marketing science.

Abstract:
Purpose: The study investigates the fast-evolving fintech landscape, specifically the impact of digital wallets on the financial industry. It focuses on the competitive digital wallet market in Indonesia, examining how service quality influences user satisfaction and loyalty in a saturated market. By integrating a Security variable into the E-Servqual method, this research aims to offer a new perspective on assessing the effects of digital wallet services on user satisfaction and loyalty. Methods: This study employs the Modified E-Servqual model with an added Security variable to explore how service quality variables like Site Organization, Efficiency, Personal Needs, Privacy, Reliability, Responsiveness, Security, and User’s Friendliness impact customer satisfaction and loyalty in digital transactions. Surveying 287 digital wallet users, mostly GoPay, OVO, ShopeePay and DANA, the research provides a detailed analysis of these variables' effects on E-Customer Satisfaction and E-Customer Loyalty. Result: The findings show that digital wallet users value certain service quality aspects differently in terms of their impact on satisfaction and loyalty. While variables like Reliability, User’s Friendliness, Personal Needs, Privacy, Security, and Efficiency significantly influence user satisfaction, Site Organization and Responsiveness do not. This highlights the importance of security and efficiency in enhancing user satisfaction and loyalty in digital wallets. Novelty: The study's novel contribution is integrating a Security variable into the E-Servqual method, enhancing the assessment of digital wallets' inherent security risks. This integration provides a detailed analysis of how security impacts user satisfaction and loyalty, alongside other service quality factors. This systematic evaluation offers new insights for improving service quality, benefiting companies in the competitive digital wallet market, and informing future research on customer loyalty and provider success.

Abstract:
The rapid evolution of digital financial ecosystems demands e-wallet platforms that can seamlessly scale while supporting diverse currencies and high transaction volumes. Traditional e-wallet systems, often constrained by monolithic architectures, struggle to meet these requirements, particularly in global, multi-currency contexts. This paper introduces the Cloud-Native Wallet Fabric (CNWF), a novel architecture designed to address these challenges through cloud-native technologies. By leveraging microservices, containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, and serverless computing, CNWF ensures elastic scalability, fault tolerance, and dynamic resource allocation. Additionally, the framework integrates blockchain technology to enhance security and transparency in cross-currency transactions. Empirical evaluations conducted in simulated high-load environments demonstrate CNWF’s ability to process over 50,000 transactions per second with sub-50ms latency, outperforming conventional systems. The architecture also reduces operational costs by 40% through efficient cloud-resource utilization. These findings underscore CNWF’s potential as a foundational model for next-generation, multicurrency e-wallet platforms, aligning with the agility and resilience demands of modern financial technology (FinTech).

Abstract:
The development of financial technology (fintech) has given rise to various financial service applications, including the Flip application. Flip provides a variety of technology-based financial services, such as interbank transfers, buying credit, and E-Wallet top-ups. The Flip application is widely used by the general public, including cadres of the Wahdah Islamiyah mass organization. This research examines fintech transactions from an Islamic perspective, tracing fintech contracts in the Flip application, and the views of Wahdah Islamiyah cadres regarding the use of the Flip application in fintech transactions from an Islamic economic perspective. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis and a grounded theory approach. Observation, interviews, and documentation all played a role in the data collection process. The results of this research show that: 1) in Islamic terms, fintech is something that is permitted as long as it is free from prohibited elements such as usury, gharar, maysir, tadlis, dharar, zhulm, and haram. 2) Fintech contracts in the Flip application are wakalah, wakalah bil ujrah, and bay' (buying and selling) contracts, which are basically permitted. 3) Flip users among Wahdah Islamiyah cadres view that Flip services such as interbank transfers, credit purchases, and E-Wallet top-ups are in accordance with Islamic economic principles because they are free from usury, gharar, and dharar and contain maslahah and taysir (convenience). Implications of this research: 1) The socialization of Islamic economic principles in fintech-based financial services is needed. 2) can develop research on other fintech features of the Flip application.
