Results of researches on application of firming agents at manufacturing of the tinned production, providing formation of the set structure of fruit and vegetables are resulted. Laws of preservation of structure of tinned fruit and vegetables depending on a kind of used firming agents, regime parametres of processing by them of raw materials, calcium or magnesium maintenances in finished goods are established. Methodical recommendations about application of firming agents of structure of fruit and vegetables are developed at the thermal processing which use will promote improvement of consumer characteristics of a domestic production.

Abstract The raw material base for many branches of the chemical industry is depleting; the issue of involving in the production of both raw materials with a low content of useful components and industrial waste becomes more and more urgent. Waste from production falls as a dead load on the cost of production of enterprises and often gives rise to a number of difficult-to-solve problems. This also applies to phosphogypsum ,i. e. a large-tonnage waste from the production of phosphoric acid by the sulfuric acid method. Phosphogypsum contains elements such as Ca, Mg, F, P, Si, Sr and rare earth elements. Secondary waste generated in this case is of limited demand and is practically not used. The complex composition of phosphogypsum as a raw material for the chemical industry should be considered as an opportunity to reduce mining, provided that the valuable components that make up its composition are maximally extracted from it into marketable products. The problem can be successfully solved using the technology of complex processing. Complex processing can be conditionally divided into three stages: obtaining ammonium sulfate or sodium sulfate; concentrate of rare earth elements; calcium silicate or calcium carbonate. Phosphogypsum processing is aimed at solving environmental problems that exist during its storage in dumps at phosphate fertilizer enterprises; at the same time, the negative impact of phosphogypsum components on the environment is reduced.

The estimation of the resources and qualitative content of the raw materials of Slavnoe peat deposit, which is reserved by the government for biothermochemical proceeding, has been conducted. The potential directions of the complex use of raw materials are grounded based on the conducted complex of the research of organic and mineral, group and botanical contents, technological characteristics and the peat funds of Slavnoe deposit. Activated carbon, oil sorbent and concentrated microfertilizer are suggested as the main types of the products of the deep complex processing of the peat studied.

The use of titanium dioxide is so diverse that varies from food to heavy industry and it is the main substance in the titanium industry. Over 90% of the world's mined titanium concentrates are processed to produce pigments. The sources for the production of titanium dioxide are the typically used titanium-containing ores including minerals rutile, ilmenite, and others. The volume of world production of titanium dioxide pigment exceeds 5 million tons per year and it is carried out in two ways: sulphate and chlorine (in approximately equal volumes). The changed approach to the green production processes requires the improvement of existing technologies and the development of new methods for processing titanium-containing raw materials. The authors have experimentally confirmed the high efficiency of complex, waste-free processing of titanium-containing raw materials developed by hydrofluoride. Creating pigment production on the basis hydrofluoride method will meet not only the domestic needs but also offer thepigment for export, as its parameters will surpass those of the best world analogues.

Currently, materials scientists and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopists have easy access to high magnetic fields of approximately 10 T supplied by superconducting magnets. Neodymium magnets that generate magnetic fields of approximately 1 T are readily available for laboratory use and are widely used in daily life applications, such as mobile phones and electric vehicles. Such common access to magnetic fields—unexpected 30 years ago—has helped researchers discover new magnetic phenomena and use such phenomena to process diamagnetic materials. Although diamagnetism is well known, it is only during the last 30 years that researchers have applied magnetic processing to various classes of diamagnetic materials such as ceramics, biomaterials, and polymers. The magnetic effects that we report herein are largely attributable to the magnetic force, magnetic torque, and magnetic enthalpy that in turn, directly derive from the well-defined magnetic energy. An example of a more complex magnetic effect is orientation of crystalline polymers under an applied magnetic field; researchers do not yet fully understand the crystallization mechanism. Our review largely focuses on polymeric materials. Research topics such as magnetic effect on chiral recognition are interesting yet beyond our scope.

Acoustic devices for determining the elasticity modulus based on the measurement of the samples frequency resonant oscillation due to the sample exposure to acoustic waves with consistently changed frequencies. Objective: Development of an algorithm for increasing the hardness of materials due to magnetic resonance imaging. Materials and methods: The paper shows the possibility of using as a uniform flux to influence the volume of thematerial of the magnetic field formed by powerful permanent magnets. The process of influencing the volume of material of the experimental samples was that the effect of a uniform magnetic flux permeating the sample is initiated in a result of resonant oscillations of the sample caused by broadband exposure of equal amplitude using a “white noise” generator and a piezoelectric emitter. Results: Treatment of samples of materials placed in a uniform magnetic field, resonant polyfrequency vibrations with nanoscale amplitude in the range of 20...80 nm, allows you to change the viscosity of the material, the modulus of elasticity of the material and the hardness of material samples to improve the performance of these materials . Conclusions: Nanoscale amplitudes of natural oscillations of objects of complex shape in energy fields, which include uniform magnetic fields, can correct the physical and mechanical properties of materials of such objects in order to achieve their identity or add strictly defined properties.

Дисертація на здобуття наукового ступеня доктора технічних наук за спеціальністю 05.02.08 – технологія машинобудування (13 – механічна інженерія). – Національний технічний університет «Харківський політехнічний інститут», Харків, 2019. У дисертаційній роботі проведено комплекс досліджень, спрямованих на вирішення важливої науково-технічної проблеми в області технології машинобудування: розробка інноваційних та короткотривалих технологій поверхневого зміцнення деталей машин порошковими сумішами керованого складу для забезпечення експлуатаційних властивостей виробів на високому рівні при значному зниженні затрат на їх виготовлення. Наукова новизна отриманих результатів полягає у розробці наукових основ інноваційних та короткотривалих технологій поверхневого зміцнення деталей машин порошковими сумішами керованого складу, що дозволило вирішити актуальну науково-практичну проблему підвищення терміну служби деталей машин та інструменту: – вперше розраховано локальні максимуми поверхневої твердості та глибини дифузійних шарів сплавів і встановлено теоретичні оптимальні умови процесів дифузійного зміцнення, що дозволяє отримати конкретні технологічні параметри проведення хіміко-термічної обробки (ХТО) та забезпечити оптимальні характеристики дифузійних шарів; – вперше створено математичні моделі та номограми існуючих технологій поверхневого зміцнення сталей, що дозволило визначити конкретні умови ХТО (температуру і тривалість), виходячи із заданої глибини дифузійного шару або поверхневої твердості сталей, що суттєво впливає на ефективність реалізації процесів зміцнення; – вперше на основі використання інноваційних технологій і системного аналізу при мінімальних витратах, розроблено загальний методологічний підхід керування технологічними процесами поверхневого зміцнення деталей порошковими сумішами керованого складу при насиченні поверхневих шарів азотом, вуглецем і бором, це дозволило підвищити експлуатаційні властивості виробів при значному скороченні тривалості ХТО; – набули подальшого розвитку розроблені комплексні ХТО, які значно знижують крихкість борованих шарів за рахунок більш плавного зниження твердості від поверхні до серцевини виробів зі сталей, що дозволило підвищити експлуатаційні властивості виробів та термін служби деталей машин та інструменту на відміну від відомих методів ХТО, які підвищують лише поверхневу твердість; – вперше розроблено математичну модель розподілу температури за глибиною дифузійного шару, що дозволило визначити характер залежностей та отримати дані про розподіл температури за глибиною виробу при різних технологічних режимах обробки; – удосконалено технологію борування з паст титанових сплавів за рахунок використання нанодисперсного насичувального середовища, що дозволило скоротити процес борування у 2-3 рази та скоротити технологічний процес виготовлення деталей за рахунок поєднання двох операцій: борування і гартування титанового сплаву; – запропоновано розв’язання крайових задач дифузії методом граничних елементів, що дозволило вперше створити математичну модель розподілу концентрації бору за товщиною зміцненого шару титанового сплаву; − удосконалено технологію інтенсифікації процесів ХТО методами нагрівання струмами високої частоти та за рахунок попередньої лазерної обробки деталей, що дозволило отримати високі експлуатаційні властивості поверхневих шарів при значному скороченні тривалості обробок. Практичне значення роботи полягає у розробці технологій комбінованого зміцнення поверхневих шарів деталей зі сплавів. На основі комплексу проведених теоретичних та експериментальних досліджень, сформульованих принципів, закономірностей і положень отримані наступні практичні результати: 1. Спосіб комбінованої обробки сталевих виробів, що включає попередню лазерну обробку поверхні матеріалу з потужністю лазерного випромінювання -1,0±0,1 кВт, швидкістю пересування лазерного променя - 0,5-1,5 м/хв. з наступним азотуванням. Крім цього, азотування проводять в середовищі меламіну з 3-5% фтористого натрію при температурі 530-560 °C протягом 2-3 годин (патент України №111066). 2. Спосіб дифузійного борування сталевих виробів, що включає попереднє нанесення на поверхню обмазки, в склад якої входить боровмісна речовина, активатор фторид натрію і зв'язуюча речовина розчину клею БФ в ацетоні, і нагрівання струмами високої частоти. При цьому в обмазці як боровмісну речовину використовують поліборид магнію або аморфний бор і додатково введено активатор фторид літію (патент України №116177). 3. Спосіб поверхневого зміцнення сталевих виробів, що включає нанесення на поверхню деталі обмазки, до складу якої' входить боровмісна речовина і активатор, сушіння і нагрівання струмами високої частоти. В обмазці як боровмісну речовину використовують аморфний бор і активатор фторид літію. Нагрівання проводять при температурі 800-1100 °С протягом 1-5 хвилин (патент України №116178). 4. Спосіб отримання твердого покриття на поверхні сталевих виробів, що включає попередню обробку поверхні матеріалу та борування. Проводять попередню лазерну обробку поверхні матеріалу з наступним боруванням в середовищі полібориду магнію, активаторами: фтористий натрій і фтористий літій (патент України №116116). 5. Сплав на основі заліза з ефектом пам'яті форми, що містить: залізо, марганець, кремній, вуглець, хром, нікель, кобальт, мідь, ванадій, ніобій, молібден. При цьому до сплаву додатково введено сірку та фосфор (ваг. %): марганець від 4 до 20; кремній від 1,0 до 4,5; вуглець від 0,1 до 1,0; хром від 10,0 до 25,0; нікель від 1,0 до 10,0; кобальт від 1,0 до 10,0; мідь від 1,0 до 4,0; ванадій від 0,5 до 2,0; ніобій від 0,3 до 1,5; молібден від 0,5 до 2,0; сірка до 0,01; фосфор до 0,045; залізо решта (патент України №116117). 6. Склад для борування сталевих виробів, що містить аморфний бор, тетрафтороборат калію, нітрид бору і доломіт (патент України №117775). 7. Спосіб поверхневого зміцнення титанових сплаві, що включає насичення поверхневих шарів компонентами боровмісного середовища, до складу якого входить боровмісна речовина та активатор, і нагрівання. Насичення поверхневих шарів здійснюють компонентами боровмісного середовища, яке складається з аморфного бору і фториду літію (патент України №117770). 8. Дисперсійно-твердіючий сплав на основі заліза з ефектом пам'яті форми, що містить: залізо, марганець, кремній, вуглець, ванадій, ніобій, вольфрам. Додатково введено алюміній, мідь, нікель, хром, сірку та фосфор (патент України №117757). 9. Розроблені технологічні процеси ХТО були впроваджені для підвищення поверхневої твердості сталевих виробів на ТОВ «АСТИЛ М» (м. Харків), що дозволило підвищити зносостійкість втулки у 1,5 рази після нітроцементації, у 4,3 рази після послідовній нітроцементації та боруванні, у 5 разів після цементації, нітроцементації та боруванні та у 2 рази після боруванні з нагріванням СВЧ у порівняні зі втулкою без поверхневого зміцнення (Акт впровадження від 05.10.2017 р.). 10. Розроблені технологічні процеси комбінованого зміцнення були впроваджені для підвищення поверхневої твердості сталевих виробів на ПАТ «Харківський машинобудівний завод «Світло шахтаря» (м. Харків). Виробничими випробуваннями встановлено, що запропоновані ефективні технологічні процеси комбінованого зміцнення поверхневого шару сталевих виробів дозволили значно прискорити технологічні процеси хіміко-термічної обробки у 2-10 разів, що привело до зменшення витрат на їх проведення за рахунок економії електричної енергії (Акт впровадження від 17.10.2017 р.). 11. Розроблені технологічні процеси були впроваджені на ТОВ «НВЦ ЄТМ» (м. Харків), що дозволило підвищити зносостійкість втулки у 1,5 рази після нітроцементації, у 4,3 рази після послідовній нітроцементації та боруванні (Акт впровадження від 31.10.2017 р.). 12. Прийняті для впровадження в виробництві розроблені номограми, які дозволяють визначити конкретні умови газового азотування (температуру і тривалість) виходячи із заданої глибини азотованого шару або поверхневої твердості виробів зі сталі 38Х2МЮА на ПАТ «Харківський машинобудівний завод «Світло шахтаря» (м. Харків). Встановлено, що запропоновані номограми дозволили значно спростити роботу інженера-технолога, а також номограми дозволили вирішувати зворотну задачу, а саме, оцінити можливу товщину зміцненого шару і поверхневу твердість при одночасному впливі температури і тривалості газового азотування (Акт впровадження від 15.11.2017 р.). 13. Розроблений ефективний технологічний процес нітроцементації у порошковій макродисперсній суміші для підвищення експлуатаційної стійкості зубчастого колеса зі сталі 38Х2МЮА на АТ «Харківський тракторний завод» (м. Харків). Встановлено, що використання макродисперсної суміші прискорило процес хіміко-термічній обробки у 1,5-2 рази при отриманні властивостей поверхневого шару виробу таких, як і після традиційного процесу нітроцементації, що дозволило зменшити витрати на проведення хіміко-термічної обробки у 2 рази (Акт впровадження від 24.01.2018 р.). 14. Розробки, виконані в дисертації, впроваджені в навчальний процес для студентів механіко-технологічного факультету НТУ «ХПІ» спеціальностей 131 «Прикладна механіка» спеціалізації 131-09 «Обладнання та технології ливарного виробництва» та 151 «Автоматизація та комп’ютерно інтегровані технології» спеціалізації 151-07 «Комп’ютеризовані системи управління технологічними процесами» (Акт впровадження від 20.12.2017 р.).<br>The thesis for the scientific degree of doctor of technical sciences, specialty 05.02.08 – technology of mechanical engineering (13 – mechanical engineering). – National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", Kharkiv, 2019. In the thesis a set of studies was aimed at solving an important scientific and technical problem in the field of engineering technology: the development of innovative and short-term technologies of machine parts surface hardening with controlled composition powder mixtures to ensure the performance properties of products at a high level with a significant reduction in the cost of their production. The scientific novelty of the results lies in the development of scientific foundations of innovative and short-term technologies of surface hardening of machine parts by powder mixtures of controlled composition, which allowed to solve the actual scientific and practical problem of increasing the service life of machine parts and tools: - for the first time, local maxima of surface hardness and depth of diffusion layers of alloys were calculated and theoretical optimal conditions of diffusion hardening processes were established, which allows obtaining specific technological parameters of the chemical and heat treatment (CHT) process and providing optimal characteristics of diffusion layers; - for the first time created mathematical models and nomograms of existing technologies of surface hardening of steels, which allowed to determine the specific conditions of the CHT process (temperature and duration), based on a given depth of the diffusion layer or surface hardness of steels, which significantly affects the effectiveness of the implementation of strengthening processes; - for the first time through the use of innovative technologies and systems analysis at minimal cost, developed a general methodological approach for control of technological processes of surface hardening of parts by the powder mixtures of controlled composition at saturation of surface layers with nitrogen, carbon and boron, it is possible to improve the performance properties of products with a significant reduction in the CHT duration; – further development of the developed CHT complex, which significantly reduces the fragility of boriding layers due to a more gradual decrease in hardness from the surface to the core products of steels, thus improving the operational properties of the goods and service life of machine parts and tools in contrast to known methods of the CHT, which only increase surface hardness; - for the first time, a mathematical model of temperature distribution over the depth of the diffusion layer was developed, which made it possible to determine the nature of the dependences and obtain data on the temperature distribution over the depth of the product at different processing modes; – improved boriding technology with pastes of titanium alloys through the use of nanodispersed saturating environment, thereby reducing the boriding process to 2-3 times and to shorten the manufacturing process of components by combining two operations: boriding and hardening a titanium alloy; - solutions of boundary-value problems of diffusion by the boundary element method are proposed, which allowed for the first time to create a mathematical model of the distribution of boron concentration over the thickness of the hardened layer of a titanium alloy; - the technology of intensification of processes by CHT of heating by high-frequency currents and by means of preliminary laser processing of details was improved, which allowed to obtain high performance properties of surface layers with a significant reduction in the duration of treatments. The practical value of the work is to develop a technology of combined hardening of the surface layers of alloys making parts. The following practical results are obtained on the basis of a set of theoretical and experimental studies, formulated principles, regularities and the following practical results are obtained: 1. Method of combined processing of steel products, including advanced laser processing of material surface with the laser radiation power of -1.0±0.1 kW, the speed of movement of the laser beam of 0.5–1.5 m/min with subsequent nitriding. In addition, the nitriding is carried out in an environment of melamine with 3 to 5 % of sodium fluoride at a temperature of 530-560 °C for 2–3 hours (the patent of Ukraine No. 111066). 2. Method diffusion boriding steel products, including pre-application to the surface of the coating, which includes boriding substance, the activator sodium fluoride and a binder solution of glue BF in acetone, and heating by high frequency currents. In the coating as boriding substance use polyboride magnesium or amorphous boron, and optionally an activator is introduced lithium fluoride (the patent of Ukraine No. 116177). 3. Method of surface hardening steel parts comprising coating the surface of the part coating, which' is included boriding substance and activator, drying and heating by high frequency currents. In the coating as boriding substance use amorphous boron activator and lithium fluoride. The heating is carried out at a temperature of 800-1100 °C for 1-5 minutes (the patent of Ukraine No. 116178). 4. A method of producing a solid coating on the surface of steel products, including pre-processing the surface of the material and boriding. Carry out a preliminary laser treatment of the surface of the material with subsequent boriding in the environment polyboride magnesium, activators: sodium fluoride and lithium fluoride (the patent of Ukraine No. 116116). 5. The iron-based alloy with shape memory effect, contains: iron, manganese, silicon, carbon, chromium, nickel, cobalt, copper, vanadium, niobium, molybdenum. In this case, the alloy additionally introduced sulfur and phosphorus (weights. %): the manganese from 4 to 20; silicon 1.0 to 4.5; carbon 0.1 to 1.0; chromium, 10.0 to 25.0; nickel 1.0-10.0; cobalt 1.0-10.0; copper 1.0-4.0; vanadium 0.5 to 2.0; niobium from 0.3 to 1.5; molybdenum from 0.5 to 2.0; sulfur up to 0.01; phosphorus up to 0,045; iron-rest (the patent of Ukraine No. 116117). 6. Сomposition for boriding steel products containing amorphous boron, tetrafluoroborate potassium, boron nitride and dolomite (the patent of Ukraine No. 117775). 7. Method of surface hardening of titanium alloys, including a saturation of the surface layers of components boron environment, which includes boriding substance and the activator, and heating. The saturation of the surface layers is performed by components boron environment that consists of amorphous boron and lithium fluoride (the patent of Ukraine No. 117770). 8. The dispersion hardening iron-based alloy with shape memory effect, contains: iron, manganese, silicon, carbon, vanadium, niobium, tungsten. Included aluminum, copper, nickel, chromium, sulfur and phosphorus (the patent of Ukraine No. 117757). 9. Developed technological processes were introduced to improve the surface hardness of steel products at the limited liability company "ASTIL M" (Kharkіv), improving the durability of the sleeve by 1.5 times after nitrocarburizing, 4.3-fold after successive nitrocarburizing and boriding, 5 times after carburizing, nitrocarburizing and boriding and 2 times after boriding with microwave heating compared to a sleeve without surface hardening (the implementation Act from 05.10.2017). 10. Developed technological processes of the combined consolidation was implemented to improve surface hardness of steel products at Public company «Kharkiv machine-building plant "SVET SHAKHTYORA" (Kharkiv). Production tests have proved that the proposed effective technological processes of the combined hardening of surface layers of steel products will significantly accelerate the technological processes of chemical heat treatment in 2-10 times, led to reduced costs for them by saving electrical energy (the implementation Act from 17.10.2017). 11. Developed technological processes have been introduced at the limited liability company "Scientific-production Centre of the European mechanical engineering technology" (Kharkiv), thus improving the durability of the sleeve by 1.5 times after nitrocarburizing, 4.3-fold after successive nitrocarburizing and boriding (the implementation Act from 31.10.2017). 12. Adopted for implementation in production of developed nomograms that allow to define specific conditions of gas nitriding (temperature and duration) based on the desired depth of nitrided layer or the surface hardness of products of steel 38Cr2MoAl at Public company "Kharkiv machine-building plant «SVET SHAKHTYORA" (Kharkiv). Determined that the proposed nomograms greatly simplified the work of the engineer and these nomograms allowed to solve the inverse problem, to estimate the possible thickness of the hardened layer and surface hardness, at the same time of temperature and duration of gas nitriding (the implementation Act from 15.11.2017). 13. Developed an effective technological process of nitrocarburizing in microdisperse powder mixture to improve the operational stability of the toothed wheel of steel 38Cr2MoAl at private joint stock company "Kharkiv Tractor Plant". The use of microdisperse mixture accelerated the process of chemical-heat treatment by 1,5-2 times while getting the properties of the surface layer of the product such as after the nitrocarburizing, which reduced the costs of conducting chemical-thermal treatment by 2 times (the implementation Act from 24.01.2018). 14. The developments made in the thesis introduced in the educational process for students of mechanical engineering faculty of NTU "KhPI" special 131 "Applied mechanics" specialization 131-09 "Equipment and technology of foundry" and 151 "Automation and computer integrated technologies" specialization 151-07 "Computerized control of technological processes" (the implementation Act from 20.12.2017).

Nous proposons l’innovation «TR-NEWS retardée» comme une extension des méthodes TR-NEWS,issues de la symbiose du retournement temporel (RT) et des méthodes de spectroscopie d’ondes élastiques non linéaires (NEWS), avec pour principales applications le contrôle non destructif (CND) et l’imagerie ultrasonore médicale. Nous confirmons expérimentalement les bonnes performances des méthodes TR-NEWS pour : (i) des échantillons de composite CFRP aux propriétés dispersives ultrasonores autour de 10 MHz, favorisant ainsi la réverbérabilité de la propagation acoustique; (ii) des mesures de propriétés non classiques de la peau porcine par une instrumentation multi-échelles acousto-mécanique élaborée dans le cadre du projet PLET(Propriétés Locales Visco-Élastiques de la peau par TR-NEWS) financé par la Région Centre Val de Loire. via les simulations numériques 1D pseudo spectrales de propagations acoustiques non linéaires dans les CFRP, nous identifions et localisons les sources locales de défauts et de microendommagements. Elles valident l’identification d’un crack unique proche de la zone de focalisation. La non linéarité supposée de type contact acoustique (CAN),mesurée par «TR-NEWS retardée»et comparée aux techniques classiques d’inversion d’impulsion utilisées en imagerie médicale, permet une identification préservant la représentation temporelle de l’information. Ainsi, ce système d’instrumentation acousto-mécanique envisage la mesure de paramètres multi-échelles de non linéarité des tissus biologiques via les paramètres de Preisach-Mayergoyz (espaces PM) permettant de décrire leur vieillissement. Le chargement basse fréquence uniaxial (0.1-10Hz) synchronisé aux caractérisations ultrasonores haute fréquence (20MHz) via «TR-NEWS retardé» suggère une nouvelle classe de dispositifs dotée d’une perspective de multimodalité dédiée à l’imagerie ultrasonore non invasive des propriétés biomécaniques des organismes vivants<br>In this thesis the possibility of nonlinear ultrasonic NDT is investigated for complex materials and biological tissues. The delayed TR-NEWS signal processing methodis developed, which is based on the TR-NEWS method. TR-NEWS is a method well-suited for materials with complex structure: it allows spatio-temporal focusing of a long ultrasonic chirp signal to the region near the receiving transducer, forming an impulse pulse. The received signal power and SNR are increased as a result.Delayed TR-NEWS allows the use of this focused wave pulse as a new basis for either the signal optimisation or, alternatively, for the detection of nonlinearity by the breakdown of linear superposition. This method is used in physical experiments and simulations. The physical experiments are made on an undamaged CFRP block and a porcine skin sample. The skin is tested in a synchronised acoustomechanical setup specially designed in the course of this thesis. In 1D pseudospectral simulations for CFRP, it is determined that while classical nonlinearity cannot probably be detected in ultrasonic NDT, it could be possible to detect nonclassical nonlinear effects such as those from cracks and microdamage.Physical experiments and 2D FEM simulations of linear, undamaged CFRP are compared for studying the delayed TR-NEWS method, its applicability in optimising the focused wave, and also for creating an interaction of waves at the focusing region with a linear superposition prediction. This suggests the possibility of detecting nonlinearities by comparing the actual signal from interaction to the linear prediction.Finally, more 2D simulations are conducted for CFRP with a single contact gap nonlinearity near the focusing region. The nonlinearity is measured by PI and delayed TR-NEWS. It is determined that delayed TR-NEWS is able to detect the defect at least as well as the PI method. It is ascertained that the PM hysteresis model could describe the nonclassical nonlinearity of damaged materials and biological tissues. Asynchronised acoustomechanical test setup is created to test such multiscale nonlinearity. L’émission acoustique (EA) est reconnue pour être une technique efficace de surveillance de la santé des structures permettant de détecter la création et la propagation de microfissures dans les matériaux structuraux tels que le béton ou les composites lorsqu'ils sont soumis à des contraintes quasi-statiques. Sur la base de méthodes de traitement de signaux adéquates, différentes études ont établi des liens entre les salves d’EA et les micro-dommages créés. D'autres travaux ont montré qu'il est possible de corréler le temps de relaxation des composites et l'énergie des mécanismes d'endommagement mesurée durant la charge quasi-statique en utilisant les salves d’EA enregistrées. Cette thèse propose d'utiliser un protocole expérimental original pour détecter la relaxation non-linéaire d'échantillons de bétons à l'état intact et endommagés. Ce protocole est basé sur l'utilisation de l’EA pour capter passivement la relaxation non-linéaire d'échantillons de bétons au lieu du signal de faible amplitude habituellement utilisé dans les expériences de dynamique lente. Les résultats montrent que les méthodes de détection passives et actives conduisent à des temps de relaxation équivalents. De plus, le capteur d’EA révèle l’existence d’une ‘période de silence’ pendant les premières minutes de la relaxation non-linéaire après laquelle les salves d’EA commencent à être détectées. De plus, les caractéristiques des salves d’EA enregistrées pendant la relaxation passive ont montré une nette ressemblance avec celles obtenues lors de l'endommagement des mêmes échantillons, où des mécanismes de cisaillement et de compression sont impliqués. Enfin, nous notons qu’en plus de l'utilisation d'une approche de reconnaissance des formes non- supervisée pour la classification des salves d’EA, ce travail propose une nouvelle approche de classification des signaux d’EA basé sur l’image de la représentation en ondelettes continue (CWT) et le réseau de neurones convolutifs (CNN). Les résultats liés aux données d’EA dynamiques non-linéaires et quasi-statiques montrent que les deux approches de traitement du signal ont une grande précision de classification, ce qui représente un intérêt certain pour le développement de méthodes d’EA dynamiques en présence de microfissures<br>Acoustic emission (AE) is well known to be an efficient structural health monitoring technique to detect the creation and propagation of micro-cracks within structural materials such as concrete or composites when submitted to quasi-static stresses. Based on adequate signal processing methods, different research studies have established links between the detected AE hits and the created micro-damages. Other works have shown that it is possible to correlate the relaxation time in composites and the energy of the damage mechanisms measured during the quasi-static loading using the recorded AE hits. This thesis proposes to use an original experimental protocol to probe the nonlinear relaxation of concrete samples at the intact and damaged states. This protocol is based on the use of AE to passively probe the nonlinear relaxation of concrete samples instead of the weak amplitude signal usually used in slow dynamics experiments. Results show that passive and active probing methods lead to equivalent relaxation times. Furthermore, AE probing reveals the existence of a ‘silence period’ during the first minutes of the nonlinear relaxation after which AE hits start to be detected. In addition, the characteristics of AE hits recorded during the passive relaxation showed a clear resemblance to those obtained during the damaging of the same samples, where shear and compression mechanisms are involved. For the clustering of the AE hits, in addition to use of an unsupervised pattern recognition approach to cluster the detected AE hits, this work proposes a novel ‘image- based AE classification’ approach based on continuous wavelet transform (CWT) and convolutional neural network (CNN). Results related to the nonlinear dynamic and quasi-static AE data show that both signal processing approaches have high classification accuracy, which represents a great interest in the development of dynamic AE methods in the presence of micro-cracks

Currently, wood waste in the form of a dissected crown on the ground and the root fraction of the tree's biomass in the ground remain in felling areas, becoming potentially dangerous combustible materials in the event of forest fires, as well as obstacles to reforestation activities, and possible foci of infections.&#x0D; Shredding wood waste into wood chips will solve the problem of their disposal by using fuel chips as an additional source of heat energy. In the present work, the influence of design and operational parameters of milling machines with a modernized hydraulic system and equipped with active working bodies on the process of shredding wood waste is established. The annual economic effect from the introduction of the developed complex of wood waste shredding machines and economic indicators from the use of fuel chips are given.&#x0D; This publication is intended for undergraduates and postgraduates engaged in scientific research in the field of forestry mechanization.

Volume 1 presents first fundamental principles of the rheology of polymeric fluid including kinematics and stresses of a deformable body, the continuum theory for the viscoelasticity of flexible homogeneous polymeric liquids, the molecular theory for the viscoelasticity of flexible homogeneous polymeric liquids, and the experimental methods for the measurement of the rheological properties of poylmeric liquids. The materials presented are intended to set a stage for the subsequent chapters by introducing the basic concepts and principles of rheology, from both phenomenological and molecular perspectives, ofstructurally simple flexible and homogeneous polymeric liquids. Next, this volume presents the rheological behavior of structurally complex polymeric materials including miscible polymer blends, block copolymers, liquid-crystalline polymers, thermoplastic polyurethanes, immiscible polymer blends, perticulare-filled polymers, organoclay nanocomposites, molten polymers with dissolved gas, and thermosts.

The article describes the approaches associated with the development of such a fashionable and modern scientific and technical trend as the use of additive technologies for the needs of the domestic production and industrial sector and the sector of production of educational services. The article presents diagrams comparing the goals of using 3D printing for industrial companies at the turn of the 18th-19th years of the 21st century. A comparative analysis of the sectoral structure of the Russian market of additive technologies was also carried out, and the main stakeholders who could potentially be clients of enterprises producing additive equipment were presented.

The research provides assessment of current and longer-term consequences of iron ore open pit mining for land resources of adjacent areas. There are applied methods of analysis of fund materials; comparison of topographic sheets and special maps, visual observation, soil testing, laboratory analyses and statistic processing of data obtained. It is revealed that facilities of iron ore mining and concentration waste accumulation (dumps and tailing ponds) are destructive factors for the local lithosphere, dust chemical contamination being the basic one. The steps aimed at reducing negative impacts of technogenic objects of the mining and raw material complex on the environment are under study.

Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printing allows for the creation of parts with advanced engineering materials and geometries difficult to produce through conventional manufacturing techniques. Photosensitive resin monomers are activated with a UV-producing LCD screen to polymerize, layer by layer, forming the desired part. With the right mixture of photosensitive resin and advanced engineering powder material, useful engineering-grade parts can be produced. The Bison 1000 is a research-grade DLP printer that permits the user to change many parameters, in order to discover an optimal method for producing 3D parts of any material of interest. In this presentation, the process parameter optimization and their influence on the 3D printed parts through DLP technique will be discussed. The presentation is focused on developing 3D printable slurry, printing of complex ceramic lattice structures, as well as post heat treatment of these DLP-produced parts.

Disruptive socio-natural transformations and climatic change, where system invariants and symmetries break down, defy the traditional complexity paradigms such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. In order to overcome this, we introduced non-ergodic Information Physics, bringing physical meaning to inferential metrics, and a coevolving flexibility to the metrics of information transfer, resulting in new methods for causal discovery and attribution. With this in hand, we develop novel dynamic models and analysis algorithms natively built for quantum information technological platforms, expediting complex system computations and rigour. Moreover, we introduce novel quantum sensing technologies in our Meteoceanics satellite constellation, providing unprecedented spatiotemporal coverage, resolution and lead, whilst using exclusively sustainable materials and processes across the value chain. Our technologies bring out novel information physical fingerprints of extreme events, with recently proven records in capturing early warning signs for extreme hydro-meteorologic events and seismic events, and do so with unprecedented quantum-grade resolution, robustness, security, speed and fidelity in sensing, processing and communication. Our advances, from Earth to Space, further provide crucial predictive edge and added value to early warning systems of natural hazards and long-term predictions supporting climatic security and action.

The World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg in 2002 set the goal of minimising the adverse impacts of chemicals and waste by 2020. This goal has not been achieved yet. Therefore, other approaches are needed to prevent, minimise, or replace harmful substances. One possible approach is this master thesis which deals with the challenges that the textile importer DELTEX is facing with regard to a transparent communication of chemicals used and contained in the product in its supply chain. DELTEX is bound by legal regulations and requirements of its customer and must ensure that there are no harmful substances in the garments. For each order, the customer requires a chemical inventory from DELTEX which contains the chemical substances and formulations used (so-called "order-wise chemical inventory"). Currently, the suppliers are not willing to pass this on to DELTEX. As a result, DELTEX is faced with the problem of having no knowledge of the materials used in the garments and is thus taking a high risk. The structure of this study is based on the transdisciplinary "delta analysis" of the Society for Institutional Analysis at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt. This compares the target state with the actual state and derives a delta from the difference. Based on this, suitable design options are to be developed to close the delta. The study defines the target state on the basis of normative requirements and derives three criteria from this, which can be used to measure design options. By means of guideline-based interviews with experts, an online survey and literature research, it examines the current state. The analysis shows that the relevant actors are in an unfavourable incentive and barrier situation. The textile supply chain can be seen as a complex construct in which a whole series of production sites (often in developing and emerging countries where corruption and low environmental standards exist) carry out many processing steps. Chemicals are used at almost all stages of processing, some of which have harmful effects on people and the environment. At the same time, factory workers in the production countries are under enormous price and time pressure and often have insufficient know-how about chemical processes. DELTEX is dependent on its main customer and therefore has little room for price negotiations. To close this delta, the study formulates design options on macro, meso and micro levels and measures them against the developed criteria. None of the measures completely meets all the criteria, which is why a residual delta remains. The study concludes that not one, but rather a combination of several design options at all levels can achieve the target state. For DELTEX, an alliance with other textile importers, membership in the Fair Wear Foundation, strengthening the relationship with its suppliers and cooperation with another customer are recommended. Furthermore, the use of material data tools that support proactive reporting approaches such as a Full Material Declaration is recommended. The study is carried out from the perspective of the textile importer DELTEX. The results can therefore only be applied to the entire textile supply chain to a limited extent.
