We combine ecological-economic databases to estimate the magnitude of illicit trade in marine fish catch and its impacts on people. The inscriptions include personal name – Dionysios or Onesiphoros, weight of the wares and 1‑2 additional ciphers, one is certainly price (№ 2, 4–23). A dipinto on κάδος № 1 confirms that it contains salt fish. So all these dipinti are trade marks of the fish factory‑owners. There are also many such κάδοι without inscriptions. This paper presents a study of traditional netting materials subjected to disinfecting chemicals during fish farming and treatment of net cages. A series of tests were performed in order to study the effect of various concentrations of disinfecting chemicals on the tensile strength of Raschel knitted Nylon netting materials.
