Abstract:

Abstract:
The diploma thesis describes the bootstrap method and its applications in the confidence intervals generation, in the testing of statistical hypotheses and in the regression analysis. We present the confidence interval for individual value. Further the method of discrete probability estimation of the categorical quantity is presented, making use the gradient and the line estimate.

Abstract:
The master‘s thesis is aimed on numerical simulation of autofrettage of high pressure fuel vessel – rail in Common Rail system. First there is described Chaboche model, which is later used for simulation of autofrettage. There are described different approaches which can be used to obtain sufficient material model. Then there is observed influence of these different approaches on stress state of rail within the process of autofrettage. Suitability of Chaboche model for autofrettage and re-autofrettage simulations is assessed by comparing with more complex Jiang model. In the end there is a study of influence of autofrettage pressure on different properties, especially on residual stresses.

Abstract:
The Master‘s thesis deals with the topic of perovskite solar cells with the main focus on the materials used for the active layer. In the introductory part, the electrical and optical properties of halide perovskites are described and specific examples of perovskite crystals are introduced. The description of impedance and photoimpedance measurement methods used for characterization of perovskite solar cells is also included in the thesis. The measurement of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was conducted on four perovskite crystals and equivalent circuit was formed to fit the obtained data. Parameters of the circuit elements were acquired using the fitting method and were further evaluated in experimental part of this thesis.

Abstract:
In this work we study the solution of linear approximation problems with multiple observations. Particulary we focus on the total least squares method, which belogs to the class of ortogonaly invariant problems. For these problems we describe the so called core reduction. The aim is to reduce dimesions of the problem while preserving the solution, if it exists. We present two ways of constructing core problems. One is based on the singular value decomposition and the other uses the generalized Golub-Kahan iterative bidiago- nalization. Further we investigate properties of the core problem and of the methods for its construction. Finally we preform numerical experiments in the Matlab enviroment in order to test the reliability of the discussed algorithms. 1

Abstract:
This master thesis describes development and analysis of simulation, reconstruction and alignment for tests of Belle II vertex detector sensors as well as alignment procedure for the vertex detector itself. The first goal is to develop and test software tools which would allow analysis of sensor tests within common Belle II software framework. The second goal is to prepare the alignment chain for the vertex detector, being essential component of the detector calibration. First part of the thesis describes the Belle II experiment and its vertex detector, as well as the experimental beam test of the sensors and the common software framework. The theory behind the used alignment procedure utilizing Millepede II for alignment and General Broken Lines for track fitting is explained. Second part of the thesis then summarizes software tools developed or used and the results reached with these tools with emphasis on the alignment.

Abstract:
In the present thesis we study and compare different viscoelastic rate-type fluid models capable of describing response of geomaterials such as asphalt. Using new thermodynamic approach proposed by Rajagopal and Srinivasa (2000) we derive several classes of non-linear viscoelastic models that generalize standard Oldroyd-B and Burgers models. We show that the new models achieve better results in fitting experimental data with asphalt than the previously considered models (Oldroyd-B, Burgers, Rajagopal and Srinivasa (2000)). In particular they are able to capture the behavior of asphalt observed recently in experiments (torque overshoot and two relaxation mechanisms), which is not possible to describe by the other models. Using both the standard and the newly derived models we compute full simulations of viscoelastic flow with the finite element method in fixed domains and incorporating the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian description also in deforming domains. For example, we study rolling of asphalt or creation of ruts in the road with the real material parameters obtained by fitting the experiments. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Abstract:
Title: Evolution of Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejections Author: Andrii Lynnyk Department: Department of Surface and Plasma Science Supervisor: RNDr. Marek Vandas, DrSc. e-mail address: vandas@ig.cas.cz Abstract: This thesis deals with deformation of the Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejections (ICMEs) and their sub-class Magnetic Clouds (MCs) during their propagation in the Solar Wind (SW). The statistical study of the expanded MCs has shown that expansion greatly affects the MC internal magnetic field. We had shown that this influence is more clear for the MCs observed close to their axes. The study of the stand-off shock distance in front of the supersonic ICME confirms a smooth deformation of the ICMEs along their path from the Sun into interplanetary space. We observed that this deformation is increasing with the velocity of the ICME. This study also confirmed the difference in sheaths that are created in front of expanding and non-expanding ICMEs. We found that velocity distribution inside the MC is not uniform and it has large fluctuations. We found that the MC cross-section is usually strongly deformed.
