After being engendered through the appropriating activity (upadana) of the mind (manas), applied to the universal experience of the storehouse consciousness (alayavijñana), the individual experience is constituted through the conjoint activity of the six “operational consciousnesses” (pravrtti vijñana): the five sensory consciousnesses and the mental consciousness (manovijñana). The brute sensory experience is projected by the five sensory consciousnesses, approximating the senses, but being rather some faculties (indriya), capacities, the potentiality of consciousness to engender some specifi

In today’s physics, opinions on what is time are different. Some physicists deny the existence of time, and others think that time has physical existence. Nevertheless, time was never directly perceived by senses. With our eyes, we perceive the flow of material changes, i.e., motion in space. Our recent proposal is that universal space is time-invariant in the sense there is no physical time which would be the fourth dimension of space. The model of space-time is replaced with the model of time-invariant space, where we perceive the flow of material changes. In past years, neuroscience has dis

Buddhism teaches that ‘self’ as a substantial, enduring entity is an illusion. But for self to be an illusion there must be something in our experience that is misinterpreted as self. What is this? The notion of an experiential self plays an important role in phenomenological investigations of conscious experience. Does the illusion of self consist in mistaking a purely experiential self for a substantial self? I argue against this and locate the source of the illusion in time-consciousness. It is the essence of consciousness to flow, but the flow of consciousness presupposes an experiential p

Abstract:
Abstract Sudden cardiac arrest/death (SCA/SCD) is a disease that the heart cannot pump the blood effectively, so the blood flow loses rapidly. The patient may lose consciousness in an hour without appropriate treatment, and may take the patient’s life within minutes. Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is an electrocardiography (ECG) that uses QRS wave detection to calculate the R wave interval (R-R Interval, RRI), and uses the R wave interval to extract the time domain, frequency domain, and nonlinear characteristics of the heart rhythm. This work presents a neural network model algorithm based on h
