To enhance the specific energy and rate performance of lithium primary batteries, the development of advanced cathode materials with superior electrochemical properties is essential. Fluorides, composed of light fluorine elements and multivalent cations, exhibit multi-electron reaction characteristics, possess a high theoretical voltage, and demonstrate high discharge-specific energy. However, owing to fluorine’s high electronegativity, which leads to the formation of strong ionic bonds with other elements, most fluorides exhibit poor electronic conductivity, thereby constraining their electro

The gaseous fluorides formation mechanism in the roasting process of the fluorite-bearing iron concentrate was studied by thermodynamic calculation, differential thermal analysis (DTA) and chemical analysis. The results show that fluorine in the fluorite-bearing iron concentrate begins to escape since 400~500°C, and the emission rate of fluorine significantly increases when the temperature is above 1100°C; in the roasting process of fluorite-bearing iron concentrate, SiO2, K2O, Na2O, MgO, Al2O3 in the gangue and water vapor in roasting atmospher react with CaF2 in fluorite to generate such gas

Today, there is significant contamination of soils with various chemical substances due to the action of the anthropogenic factor. Fluorine compounds are one of the dangerous pollutants contaminating the soil. The main source of their entry into the soil is the application of phosphate fertilizers, which contain fluorides in the form of impurities. In Ukraine, the problem of soil contamination with fluorides is particularly relevant due to the significant volumes of agro-industrial production.

Abstract:
Experimental data on the solubility and speciation of uranium in hydrothermal solution is required to improve genetic models for the formation of ore deposits, yet very few data of this type have been published. Of particular interest is the oxidation state of the uranium in solution, as conventional wisdom suggests that U is dissolved in the oxidized U(VI) state and precipitated as reduced U(IV) minerals, yet recent experiments have shown ppm-level solubility for U(IV). This study investigated the mobility of reduced U(IV) and oxidized U(VI) in acidic (pH = 2), fluoride- bearing and alkaline
