In the rotor field oriented vector control system, the use of permanent magnet synchronous motor voltage equations and flux equations derived PMSM position and speed estimation method has its unique advantages, The advantage of this approach is to calculate a simple, fast dynamic response, and easy to implement. However, when permanent magnet synchronous motor running at low speed, back EMF would be very small, which can not guarantee the accuracy of estimates. In addition, the position and speed estimation parameters of permanent magnet synchronous motor is largely in dependence on the runnin

The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) speed range enlarging is based on the newly proposed power control principle between two voltage sources instead of winding current control as the conventional Field Oriented Control method. The power management between the inverter and PMSM motor allows the Flux-Weakening obstacle to be overcome entirely, leading to a significant extension of the motor speed to a constant power range. This paper focuses on the universal control design of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) with uncertain system dynamics. In vector control, classical proportional-integral (PI) controllers are used to control d-q axis currents and speed of the PMSM. This paper uses two control methods: conventional field-oriented vector control and simplified control. First, all the control gains are determined for numerous PMSMs with various power ratings using an empirical study and generalized mathematical expressions are derived for each of the gains. Then, these expressions are used for automatic
