After three decades of renewed, large-scale immigration to the United States, social scientists are increasingly turning their attention to processes of immigrant incorporation and reexamining the perspectives of social scientists who studied similar processes in the past. This essay reviews the insights and questions raised by the foregoing articles in this special issue of the International Migration Review and assesses their theoretical contributions to understanding relations between immigrants and native-born Americans in contemporary processes of incorporation.

How long and how strong is Diasporic memory? How many generations can it encompass? How deeply can generations that never lived in the old country relate to its landscape, language, colors and tastes? In the case of Israelis of Hungarian origin, these questions inevitably have to do with the history of Hungarian Jews in the late nineteenth- and early-to-mid twentieth-century, with a focus placed more acutely upon World War II and the Holocaust. Written by a female Israeli researcher of folk and documentary culture who belongs to the second-generation of Hungarian-Jewish Holocaust survivors, the present article strives to deal with the foregoing and other relevant questions through a comparative literary-cultural analysis of the only two presently existing Hebrew-language Hungarian cookbooks. These two cookbooks were published in Israel in 1987 and 2009, respectively, by two male cultural celebrities, the first by a Hungarian-born journalist, author and politician and the second by an Israeli-born gastronomer and grandson of Hungarian-Israelis.

AbstractWe highlight the role of the light elements (Li, Be, B) in the evolution of massive single and binary stars, which is largely restricted to a diagnostic value, and foremost so for the element boron. However, we show that the boron surface abundance in massive early type stars contains key information about their foregoing evolution which is not obtainable otherwise. In particular, it allows to constrain internal mixing processes and potential previous mass transfer event for binary stars (even if the companion has disappeared). It may also help solving the mystery of the slowly rotating nitrogen-rich massive main sequence stars.

Western theories tend to view the essence of humans in a way of a blank state (tabula rasa), wherein their development will be affected by environmental factors as the determinant variable. However, there are a few differences in the portrayal of humans if scrutinized from al-Qur’an. With conducting a library study, the present study sought to scrutinize the essence of humans along with the affiliated dimensions according to the Qur’anic perspective. The current study drew a conclusion that humans are composed of physical (with the overall physical power therein), psychological, and spiritual dimensions. Humans were born with their inborn good trait alongside the naturally inherent elements such as soul and the active as well as responsive supports from environments so that the two elements as such will construct humans’ behavior. Even though environments will not entirely construct humans’ behavior as commonly targeted by education, the inborn potencies cannot develop automatically without being simultaneously promoted by good and conducive environments in addition to effective education. The foregoing is due to the responsive trait of humans.

Power supply reliability is a key factor in a country economic stability. It is contributed by the reliable power distributor via transmission lines, overhead or underground cables. However, the power cables and accessories are always exposed to pre-breakdown phenomena known as partial discharges (PD) which commonly occur in microvoids, defects or protrusions inside the insulation. To improve the performance of the cable insulation against PD, nanofillers are added into the insulating materials. However, to achieve superior performance of PD resistance, the nanofillers must be homogeneously dispersed into the polymer matrices with tightly bonded interfacial zones. Therefore, this could be achieved by employing method of surface functionalization by using cold atmospheric plasma to strengthen the filler/polymer interfaces. In view of foregoing, this study investigated the effects of surface treated boron nitride (BN) nanoparticles in Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) on the PD characteristics by following CIGRE Method II at 7 kVrms applied voltage. The phase resolved PD characteristics were performed. The results revealed that by treating the nanofillers with cold plasma, the PD resistance of LDPE were highly achieved compared with the untreated BN nanofillers.

In the beginning of the 1970’s, the occurrence of soil-borne viruses in 30 Finnish nurseries and experimental fields of garden plants at 3 research stations was mapped. Viruses were isolated on 26.9 % of the 672 plant and soil samples collected. The two most commonly found viruses were tobacco necrosis virus (TNV), 42.5 %, and tobacco rattle virus (TRV), 23.7 %. Tomato black ring virus (TBRV) and raspberry ringspot virus (RRSV) were isolated for the first time in Finland. The abundant occurence of TBRV in 32 samples was due to the abundance of Phlox paniculata samples. RRSV was isolated from only a few samples. The vectors of all of the above-mentioned viruses were found in many samples. The fungus vector of TNV, Olpidium brassicae, was investigated by examining the roots microscopically. The vector of TRV, the Trichodorus sp. nematodes, and the vector of TBRV and RRSV, the Longidorus sp. nematodes, were isolated from soil samples. In addition to the foregoing, tobacco mosaic virus was isolated from 31 samples of 6 nurseries and 2 experimental fields. Viruses were isolated from many weed samples, especially from roots of Senecio vulgaris and Stellaria media. Perennials proved to be virotic. All of the above mentioned viruses, especially TBRV and TRV, were isolated from Phlox paniculata; TBRV was also found in an Astilbe x arendsii sample. Dicentra spectabilis, like Phlox, was commonly infected with TRV. No clear results could be obtained from control experiments.

<b>Introduction:</b> Newborns born prematurely and treated in intensive care units are at greater risk of experiencing pain than patients treated in other units. <b>Purpose:</b> To evaluate the severity of pain perceived by children during the performance of medical procedures related to the treatment and care process. <b>Materials and methods:</b> The study was conducted at one of the Intensive Care Units in Opole. The study group consisted of 100 newborns, 60% of the subjects were prematurely born newborns, and 40% - were full-term. The degree of procedural pain associated with blood collection, peripheral puncture insertion, upper respiratory tract suction, gastric tube insertion and ophthalmic examination was assessed by an observation method using the standard Neonatal Infant Pain Scale Form (NIPS). <b>Results:</b> Out of the analysed medical procedures, 100% of children experienced acute, severe pain over the course of suction and ophthalmological examination. The highest perception of pain was experienced by 88.3% of premature newborns and 71.8% of full-term newborns. Over the course of medical procedures, 84% of male and 79.6% female newborns experienced acute pain. It was shown that the degree of pain perception was determined by the type of performed medical procedure (p=0.001) and the gestational age of the newborn (p=0.037). On the other hand, there was no correlation between the sex of the newborn child and the degree of pain perception (p=0.758). <b>Conclusions:</b> Based on the foregoing study result, bearing in mind the need to minimise the effects of pain stimulation, it seems important to use standardised tools to assess the severity of pain in newborns treated in Intensive Care Units on a larger scale.

Growth hormone (GH) pulsatility requires periventricular-nuclear somatostatin(SRIFPeV), arcuate-nuclear (ArC) GH-releasing hormone (GHRH), and systemic GH autofeedback. However, no current formalism interlinks these regulatory loci in a manner that generates self-renewable GH dynamics. The latter must include in the adult rat 1) infrequent volleys of high-amplitude GH peaks in the male, 2) frequent discrete low-amplitude GH pulses in the female, 3) disruption of the male pattern by severing SRIFPeV outflow to ArC, 4) stimulation of GHRH and GH secretion by central nervous system delivery of SRIF, 5) inhibition of GH release by central exposure to GHRH, and 6) a reboundlike burst of GHRH secretion induced by stopping peripheral infusion of SRIF. The present study validates by computer-assisted simulations a simplified ensemble formulation that predicts each of the foregoing six outcomes, wherein 1) blood-borne GH stimulates SRIFPeV secretion after a long time latency, 2) SRIFPeV inhibits both pituitary GH and ArC GHRH release, 3) ArC GHRH and SRIFArC oscillate reciprocally with brief time delay, and 4) SRIFPeV represses and disinhibits the putative GHRH-SRIFArC oscillator. According to the present analytic construction, time-delayed feedforward and feedback signaling among SRIFPeV, ArC GHRH, and SRIFArC could endow the complex physiological patterns of GH secretion in the male and female.

Abstract The tetraspanin CD81 is required for numerous biological functions including fertilization, infection, cell migration and cellular interactions in the nervous and immune systems. In B cells CD81 is a component of the CD19/CD21 signaling complex. CD81 was shown to facilitate the redistribution of the B cell receptor (BCR) complex and CD21 into lipid rafts in response to co-engagement, and to modulate BCR signaling. In addition, CD81-deficient mice express low levels of cell surface CD19, thereby potentially altering signaling by the CD19/CD21 co-receptor complex. Interestingly, the onset of CD81 expression coincides with the onset of CD19 expression during B cell development. The foregoing observations suggest that CD81 might reduce the in vivo response of B cells to antigenic stimulation. To test this hypothesis we compared the response of CD81-deficient and wild type mice to T-independent (TNP-LPS) and T-dependent (TNP-KLH) antigens. Surprisingly, CD81-deficient mice mounted significantly higher IgM responses against both types of antigens. Moreover, the IgG response of CD81-deficient mice was stronger and persistent in response to T-independent antigen. We further found that CD81-deficient mice have an increase in bone marrow perisinusoidal B cells (IgM+IgD+). These cells are primarily responsible for mounting T-independent immune responses against blood-borne pathogens. In addition, CD81-deficient spleenic B cells have an intrinsic ability to produce higher amounts of IgM. These surprising results suggest that CD81 is involved in modulating B cell activation, particularly in response to infection.

The state of the environment in which we live and certain hygienic practices we indulge in has been known to affect our nutritional status. This study was aimed at examining the association between malnutrition and some selected water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) practices among school children in Gombe State Nigeria. A cross sectional survey was conducted between March and June, 2019. A total of 745 pupils were selected from 12 public and 6 private schools across 6 LGAs in Gombe state, using multi-stage sampling technique. Anthropometric measurements of heights and weights of the study participants were done using standard instruments and procedures. Other relevant data (age, sex, some environmental variables etc) were collected using a structured template. Data analysis was done using IBM SPSS version 21 and key variables were presented using descriptive statistics, while associations were tested using Chi square. Odd ratio (OR) was used to estimate risks of malnutrition among the subjects and p-value was set at 0.05. The pupils had a mean age of 9.96±2.26 years, 50.9% of whom were males the rest being females. Though 84.6% of them had toilets in their residences not all of them (98.6%) put them to use. A good proportion (79.1%) dispose their refuse by dumping and slightly more than half of them (51.7%) have access to pipe borne water. And though only two (method of refuse disposal and source of drinking water) out of the eight WASH variables studied were found to be associated with underweight (Composite indicator of malnutrition), all the eight variables were found to be associated with stunting (chronic malnutrition). Overall, 20.8% and 22.4% of the subjects were underweight and stunted, respectively. The foregoing raises a germane concern about the role of WASH in malnutrition among school children and the need for a comprehensive and sustainable school feeding programme in the state and country at large. There should also be an integration of a WASH component in all nutrition intervention programmes.

Zade, the principle of managing uncertainties, the principle of ignorance of individual opinions and collective ideas, the principle of conformity, the principle of diversity of development of a complex system, the principle of unity and mutual transitions, the principle oscillatory (pulsating) evolution – showed instability in the management of society by mondialist-compradors and a possible countdown of the transition from the sensual age to the ideation nnuyu, and in our case – from consumerism to communitarianism. From the apparent modern triumph of consumerism over communitarianism, we are not interested in a fact-problem, but in the idea of transforming reality that can stop the process of obscuration. Discussion and Conclusion. In the Middle Ages, during the construction of the project “Holy Russia”, communities were created according to the principle of “big”. Around the devotee of piety, voluntary monastic settlements were created, which grew into suburbs. Of these, the ascetic-hesychast stood out, who went into the forest and chopped down a new temple. To the righteous people flocked, yearning for a just life. This is how a new community was created. There was a new prayer book and then the big man blessed him to organize other settlements. The state should be interested in finding new forms of solutions for educational, economic, technical, cultural and food programs, therefore the initiative of communitarianists should not be punished, but supported. Today, foreign investors are becoming owners of not only factories, but even entire branches of domestic industry and are able to significantly influence domestic politics in our country. The growing number of immigrants as a destabilizing factor is becoming increasingly important. In such a situation, the fate of the country depends on the ability of the people to a new unification. It is necessary to unite on the basis of religious and cultural traditions on the principle of professional fraternities; if only there would be more centers of spiritual culture, but not by the principle of quantity, as is always the case with officials, but by the qualitative qualification of the “big man” as a center of creative and integrative power. From the foregoing, the idea of building ideational (communitarian) cohorts is born, which, through their ascetic life and creative work, should set a new vector for historical development (“salt”) consumer society.

AbstractIt is a recognized fact that the majority of the many drawings produced in the 16th and 17th centuries have been lost. It is quite likely that a great deal of these lost drawings were the work of aspiring artists, done for practice during their training. Written sources, so-called 'Tekenboeken' and pictures of studios give us some idea of what such drawing exercises looked like. Series of eyes, noses, mouths, hands and feet, etc. served as preliminary exercices. Although these were recognized as very difficult assignments, their great advantage was that a single glance, even that of the young draughtsman himself, could establish whether the task had been done well, because 'mistakes are generally evident and can be seen and judged by everybody: for who is so dull and blind as not to notice whether someone has a deformed face, a twisted hand or a crooked foot?' (note 8). One duly wonders at the total absence of such drawings in Gerard Ter Borch senior's large collection of work by his sons Gerard junior, Harmen and Mozes. Apparently Ter Borch père was more selective than assumed by Alison Kettering in her introduction to the catalogue of the Ter Borch estate. Of the earliest drawings done by the young pupils in their first years, he seems to have concentrated on preserving drawings done from life and the young artists' own invention. As for drawings after prints, only copies of complete compositions were apparently worth saving. One could surmise that such practice drawings were executed on carriers which could be erased or re-used in some other way. The making of such carriers from box or palm wood and also from parchment is described in Cennino Cennini's 'Il Libro dell'Arte' (ca. 1400). The replaceable primer that was applied to such carriers consisted of ground white bone-ash mixed with saliva. According to Cennini, parchment 'tavolette' were also used by merchants to do their calculations on. The use of such parchment tablets is moreover confirmed by an early 16th-century recipe from Bavaria. The question arises as to whether erasable carriers were only used by beginners, as Cennini's text suggests, or by fully developed artists as well. This might provide a possible explanation for the total or virtually total absence of drawings in the oeuvres of some artists. Another question is how long this type of carrier remained in use. Research was sidetracked by the frequent occurrence of young artists drawing on blocklike boards or planks, notably on title-pages of 17th-century books of drawing models. In 16th-century iconography such boards appear to indicate the term 'usus' or 'practice'. They also refer to a Pliny text according to which drawing on boxwood boards was a fixed item in the education of well-born Greek children. The depiction of young draughtsmen with such drawing boards may therefore not represent actual studio practice but allude to the aspired high status of drawing and of the art of painting in general. The very nature of erasable carriers means that traces of them are rare. Those boards that have survived (Meder had published a number) are not acknowledged as such apart from the wax tablets intended for re-use in Classical Antiquity, and in the Middle Ages too. There are sporadic references in written sources. Karel van Mander, for instance, uses the term 'Tafelet' twice, the first time in connection with Albrecht Dürer who - significantly in this context is said to have portrayed Joachim Patinier on a slate (the ideal erasable carrier) 'or a tafelet'. Van Mander subsequently mentions a 'tafelet' in his biography of Goltzius, who was asked to do a portrait on a 'tafelet' in preparation for a print. The very strong likelihood that the term 'tafelet' was used to indicate a carrier suitable for re-use is endorsed by a recipe by Theodore de Mayerne (ca. 1630), who suggests two ways of making a 'tablet à papier' for writing on with a metal stylus: strong and well glued paper is spread with a paste of ground bone-ash, not mixed with saliva this time but with a weak gum solution. To prepare the tablet for re-use it could be cleaned with a wet brush. When the paper had suffered too much from this repeated treatment, it could be varnished, according to de Mayerne, after which it could be written on again with a pen, washed off again etc. Although de Mayerne recommends this 'tablet à papier' for practising writing, no distinction was made between carriers for writing and drawing (cf. Cennini above). We shall probably never know to what extent erasable carriers were used, but the foregoing remarks may shed a fresh light on a group of works of art, drawings with silver or other metal styluses on prepared parchment or paper. Instead of resorting to one of the highly specialized and expensive drawing methods which are often cited, for example in connection with Rembrandt's portrait of Saskia in Berlin with silver stylus on prepared parchment, such drawings may have been done on tablets which were not intended to be preserved. Goltzius' portraits with metal stylus as a rule were executed as drawings which served solely as the basis for a print. From a text in P. C. Hooft's Warenar (1616) we learn, that a 'tafelet' or 'taflet' was a booklet used as a scrap book and habitually carried in the pocket. A few of such booklets have survived. One is a booklet with fourteen prepared paper pages which belonged to Adriaen van der Wcrff. In it, writing with a silver stylus, he kept a record of the number of days he spent on his paintings. The first four pages of the book were prepared for re-use. The traces of earlier inscriptions can still be vaguely discerned under the new layer of primer. A second tafelet - originally containing twelve pages - was identified in the collection of the Rijksprentenkabinet (note 41). It was used around 1590 by a young painter who practised in it by copying fragments of prints.

Background. Lesia Dychko (born in 1939) is one of the innovators in Ukrainian music of the second half of the 20th century. Among many composers, she is distinguished by the attraction to the music associated with the word. Despite the prevalence of the choral genre in her oeuvre, she pays a lot of attention also to opuses for the solo voice with the instrumental accompaniment. In the fi eld of chamber vocal music, there are characteristic signs of the composer’s style, the richness of the harmonic language, and the author’s fi ligree work with the poetic word. Such features of the L. Dychko’s creative personality are refl ected in the works of many researchers. However, currently there are no studies that addresses the principles of the embodiment of the poetic text. This reveals the relevance of the proposed topic. The purpose of the article is to identify the way in which the semantic and structural properties of P. Tychyna’s poems are refl ected in the song cycle “Enharmonic” by L. Dychko. The following methods have been used to solve the research tasks: historical, genrestyle, structural-functional and comparative. Results. Most of L. Dychko’s chamber vocal cycles for the voice and piano show the composer’s attraction to the heritage of Ukrainian poets, such as P. Grabowsky, V. Kolomiets, I. Franko, and P. Tychyna. The appeal to Tychyna’s poems is indicative of the composer’s aesthetic preference. The reason for the choice was the innovative nature of the poet’s works, which are inherent in poly-rhythm, poly-meter of the poetical lines, musicality of the content and structure, a combination of folklore samples and advanced techniques, and the rich world of images. All these signs already appeared in the fi rst book of P. Tychyna – “The Sun Clarinets” (1918). Its pages are fi lled with sophisticated landscapes, made with bright colours, radiating goodness and humanism. The poems of the collection are endowed with special musicality, numerous sound images, which resulted in the name of many compositions. In particular, the name of the poetic cycle selected by L. Dychko – “Enharmonic” – causes some musical association. It consists of four compositions. Their names describe the state of nature and target the perception of poems – “The Fog”, “The Sun”, “The Wind”, and “The Rain”. The fi gurative and semantic series of each of them is constructed so that their textual basis is a kind of “semantic enharmony” to the title. “Semantic enharmony” means the difference between the text and its name (or other text) by the meaning, but their similarity according to the meaning. To refl ect the rich fi gurative content of the works by P. Tychyna, L. Dychko uses the mixed technique. The synthesis of distant stylistic devices is inherent in all the semantic-structural levels of the romance “Enharmonic”. The proof of this is that the composer gives each composition of the cycle an additional genre designation that has a purely instrumental nature: “The Fantasy” (No. 1), “The Prelude” (No. 2), “The Pastoral” (No. 3), and “The Scherzo” (No. 4). In view of this, in the opus by L. Dychko two kinds of a cyclical composition are combined – vocal and instrumental. When joining poetic and musical rhythms, the composer usually relies on two different principles of the poetic text vocalization, which allows a subtle reproduction of all moods and emotional changes in the verses. In “The Fog” there is the recitation and counter-rhythm, in “The Wind” and “The Rain” the metric and accent increase. Only in “The Sun” metric scheme of the poetic source is retained almost completely. In the domain of the vocal melody, the author combines both the diatonic nature of the short songs with a specifi c modal colouration and chromatic feature and sharp tonal transitions. For example, in “The Fog” there is a gradual complication of melodies: from the Phrygian and Dorian modes with a limited interval to freely interpreted 12-tone space. In “The Wind”, the voice part can be divided into two types according to intonation features which are instrumental and recitativerecitational with song traits. A large mix of different techniques is also announced in the piano part. There is a harmony of classical-romantic type here, impressionistic linearity, and modern sonorous means. Such a variety of different types of the composition and principles of organization of the vertical helps L. Dych ko to convey the range of feelings of Tychyna’s poetry as accurately as possible. Such synthesis of the means of musical expression does not deprive the vocal cycle of integrity, which manifests itself both on the intonation level and on larger levels such as in the structure and principles of the approach to the embodiment of verses. In most cases, the composer limits the interval composition of the vocal melodies of romances, selecting those moves that would refl ect the semantics of the poetic primary sources most clearly. The basis consists of second, third, fourth, and fi fth intonations, and other moves are less common and serve to enhance the expression of the phrase. The unifying factor for all the works of the “Enharmonic” appears to be also the functional purpose of the piano part. It acts as an equal member of the vocal-piano duo and contributes to the implementation of the multilayer semantics of Tychyna’s poetry and its symbolic content. Some regularity also appears in the structure of romances, since “The Fog”, “The Wind” and “The Rain” have similar principles of construction. They are characterized by an improvisational character, a free expansion of the form with a change in the musical content of the sections, the variety of textual types and the culmination at the point of the golden section. “The Sun” is the exception. Its form has features of the couplet-variation structure, since the musical elements from the fi rst stanza are repeated at the beginning of the second, although their elevation is changing. Conclusions. In the embodiment of the symbolic poetry by P. Tychyna, L. Dychko shows an active author’s position, refl ects her vision of its content, emphasizing the important fi gurative and semantic-image units. An important role in this is played by the piano part, which serves as a vivid underline for the main images of the original sources, a kind of “enharmony” of their names. The foregoing confi rms that at the early stage of creativity L. Dychko had already proved herself as an initiative inventor; by combining various stylistic and style techniques, she found the musical equivalent of the content of the poems, revealed their subtext and embodied her own impressions of the perception of P. Tychyna’s poetry.

AbstractGiven the many linkages between education and family behaviour, the expansion of higher education especially among women in recent decades may have important consequences for fertility in Europe. This is a crucial factor in both the New Home Economics (NHE) theory and the Second Demographic Transition (SDT) that predict a negative association between fertility and education. However, more recently, the Gender Revolution (GR) approach has emphasised the role of gender egalitarianism both in society and within households as a boost for fertility. By adopting a comparative perspective on six European countries, this paper reports our research on the effect of education on the fertility choices in light of the foregoing three different theoretical explanations. Using data from the second wave of Generation and Gender surveys (GGS) for Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, and Poland, and the ISTAT survey “Famiglie e Soggetti Sociali” for Italy, we estimated the propensity to have the first and the second child birth on women born between 1940 and 1979 by means of multiprocess hazard models.For the first childbirth, the influence of education on fertility behaviours not only remains important but also tends to increase among younger cohorts. This result matches the NHE and SDT explanation, suggesting a similar evolution towards an erosion of the family. Conversely, for the second childbirth we found marked differences among countries suggesting an East-West polarisation giving support to the GR approach. However, peculiarities for the Italian case linked to a tempo effect emphasize the need to go beyond the West-East dichotomy.

Despite advancements in the radiotherapeutic management of brain malignancies, resultant sequelae include persistent cognitive dysfunction in the majority of survivors. Defining the precise causes of normal tissue toxicity has proven challenging, but the use of preclinical rodent models has suggested that reductions in neurogenesis and microvascular integrity, impaired synaptic plasticity, increased inflammation, and alterations in neuronal structure are contributory if not causal. As such, strategies to reverse these persistent radiotherapy-induced neurological disorders represent an unmet medical need. AM251, a cannabinoid receptor 1 reverse agonist known to facilitate adult neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity, may help to ameliorate radiation-induced CNS impairments. To test this hypothesis, three treatment paradigms were used to evaluate the efficacy of AM251 to ameliorate radiation-induced learning and memory deficits along with disruptions in mood at 4 and 12 weeks postirradiation. Results demonstrated that acute (four weekly injections) and chronic (16 weekly injections) AM251 treatments (1 mg/kg) effectively alleviated cognitive and mood dysfunction in cranially irradiated mice. The beneficial effects of AM251 were exemplified by improved hippocampal- and cortical-dependent memory function on the novel object recognition and object in place tasks, while similar benefits on mood were shown by reductions in depressive- and anxiety-like behaviors on the forced swim test and elevated plus maze. The foregoing neurocognitive benefits were associated with significant increases in newly born (doublecortin+) neurons (1.7-fold), hippocampal neurogenesis (BrdU+/NeuN+mature neurons, 2.5-fold), and reduced expression of the inflammatory mediator HMGB (1.2-fold) in the hippocampus of irradiated mice. Collectively, these findings indicate that AM251 ameliorates the effects of clinically relevant cranial irradiation where overall neurological benefits in memory and mood coincided with increased hippocampal cell proliferation, neurogenesis, and reduced expression of proinflammatory markers.
